A truly rustic place that instantly evokes memories of cozy times at Grandma's. The food is hearty, down-to-earth, and absolutely delicious – I haven't eaten this well in ages. The portions are generous, and you can tell that everything is cooked with care and love. The prices are a bit higher, but the quality, the taste, and the authentic atmosphere more than make up for it. A place where you immediately feel at home and where you'll definitely be back.

True old fashioned German spirit is exist in this restaraunt ! Alles was wunderbar!!! Totally recommend this place !

Here you get original German food. A great experience with pork liver, pork shank and schnitzel with bratkartoffeln.

The best Schnitzel, great knowledge of beer and very kind staff. I got the Schnitzel with mushrooms and sliced potatoes plus Bayreuther beer. Large servings didn’t hurt either. Would 100 percent recommend going.

Very friendly, professional, fast, and attentive service. The ambiance was quaint and sophisticated. Some might say it was dark and dated, but I also think it would be a shame to change the partially antique and high-quality furnishings if they were so keen to adapt to the times. I had schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes. I was offered seconds of the side dish twice. The schnitzel was a bit thicker, from the topside. No complaints. The mushrooms and onions were freshly fried, without sauce. Not a convenience. The beer was okay, nice and cold. So, a simple but good place, inviting you to linger and relax.

Food is good, normal standard, but nothing special.

The service was pleasant and the food was very good. The price-performance ratio was perfect. We found the drinks to be excessive (€7.20 for a bottle of water).

What an amazing place! We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to us. The interior has that cozy, traditional German tavern feel, but what truly made our visit unforgettable was the waiter – he served us with real passion and energy. People like him are true gems in the world of hospitality. The schnitzels with fried egg were absolutely outstanding, accompanied by delicious, fresh salads. And the beer – wow! We hadn’t had such a great beer in a long time. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to everyone. It’s simply wonderful, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Die Qualität des Essens können wir nicht beurteilen, wir haben nur eine kurze Rast gemacht und etwas getrunken. Die Getränkepreise sind aus unserer Sicht im oberen Drittel angesiedelt - ein Alster 0,4 kostet 5,20 Euro, eine 0,3 Cola 4,90 Euro und eine Weißweinschorle (0,2) 7,20 Euro. Es gab einen sehr netten Kellner, zum Kassieren kam eine Dame (möglicherweise die Chefin selbst). Die Dame war auch nett, aber so gab es kein Trinkgeld für den jungen Mann.

Very cozy interior and a good German menu! The menu was world-class 🎖️. I had liver Berliner style with fried potatoes and a crisp salad to start with, along with a cold Herrenhäuser Pils 🍺. The service was very friendly. The interior is nice and there are plenty of seats. It's a great place for a group or family dinner. Thanks, it was highly recommended 👍

Incredibly friendly service, attentive and competent at all times. The junior manager takes care of the delicious drinks, such as the Andechser beer on tap!, with unique friendliness and empathy. I've rarely been seated and served so pleasantly – a rarity these days. The food is of outstanding quality and noticeably prepared with love and experience. In a group of seven, we were always able to order more as requested. I'll definitely be back!

We were in this restaurant with 4 people and can only say: If we come to Celle again, we would love to come here again! The service was very nice and friendly, the food was great, decent German home cooking, without fancy and a good price-performance ratio. Conclusion: Highly recommended and always happy.

Landed at Pigs Schulze by chance, looks very rustic from the outside and is also great inside. Few dishes but very tasty. We had liver, fried to perfection. Perfect. There is also Andechser beer.

We dachten vanwege het mooie middeleeuwse pand dat het totaalplaatje ook wel in orde zou zijn maar nee... De inrichting is sinds de jaren 70 niet aangeraakt maar dat was eigenlijk het beste van de hele ervaring. Voorgerecht? Nee,die hebben we niet. Wijnkaart? Ook niet,we hebben 1 rode en 1 witte wijn(niet lekker)! Hoofdgerecht: als je van schnitzel houdt ben je hier op de juiste plaats,dat is 1 van de weinige dingen die ze hier serveren. De schnitzel was ok maar hoe moeilijk is dat? Gebakken aardappelen erbij die lekker waren en 1 blaadje sla met 1/8 partje tomaat. Dit doen we dus nooit meer,er zitten véél betere restaurants hier.

We would have liked to eat there, but the kitchen was closed at 8:20 p.m. (on a Saturday). We were politely turned away. Maybe the opening hours should be revised. Update: The company's response speaks for itself. We actually called ahead and asked about opening hours. There was no shortage of staff or full capacity utilization Speech. And when we got to the restaurant, there was NOTHING going on there.

Perfect in one word. The big challenge is to get a table. Delicious food in a very cozy tent.

Very tasty dishes in a rustic restaurant, unfortunately you sit at one table a bit awkwardly because of the table feet on the front sides, but that only slightly affected the impression.

Dear Birgit, we were in your restaurant again after decades, as we have been living in southern Germany for a long time. On the occasion of a visit to our parents in Celle, we visited your traditional restaurant in downtown Celle. We knew Schulze the pig even as children and teenagers. The inn is as it always was, comfortably furnished, cozy and invites you to enjoy and linger. The friendly service at the table makes the visit very well rounded. Otherwise you won't find the great menu with Lower Saxony dishes in the surrounding area. Glad you kept the tradition. The evening we met again was an experience, we enjoyed the food excellently and we wish you continued success and many nice guests. Your heart and the kindness of your team are in the right place. Dopo un discreto girovagare e alcuni rifiuti capitiamo in questo ristorante. E' rimasto un tavolo per due. Il servizio è abbastanza attento e rapido. Ci gustiamo delle Kloster Andeche Spezial hell alla spina, non male. Optiamo per delle verdure arrostite con patate: porzione abbondante e gustosa. Buona l'atmosfera. Bagni molto puliti

Eating like “Mother’s”. Tasty and the meat was just right. Very accommodating and friendly service. I've never been asked so nicely if I would like some more fried potatoes. Just like at home.

Uriges Ambiente, sehr (Kinder)freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Essen kam schnell und war ausgezeichnet gut. Salat und Beilagen sehr großzügig und alles frisch zubereitet. Für uns die besten Schnitzel die wir in einem Restaurant gegessen haben. Absolute Empfehlung!

Hatte etwas Schwein. Mit Panierung. Die geht aber sogar noch besser. War alles in allem ganz solide. Würde ich auch nochmal essen. Würde ich deshalb nochmal von etwas ausserhalb anfahren? Nein, das wohl nicht unbedingt. Das Ambiente ist originell und liegt recht versteckt in einem Fachwerkhaus. Die Lampen im Innenraum sind teilweise mit Schweinehaut bezogen - schräg. Schräg aber nicht abstoßend schräg. Nur Staubwischen müsste man öfters. Bedienung freundlich.

Very tasty food, a rustic feel-good atmosphere and very good service. The schnitzel with mushrooms was exactly my thing.

We were there for lunch yesterday with a large group. The staff was very nice prudent. First there was a fresh salad with a delicious dressing. Of course, almost everyone ate schnitzel, which was generous, with fried potatoes. I love them crispy, very crispy. MY RECOMMENDATION: now add a large spoonful of HERBS (marjoram) over the potatoes, I think that would be perfect. I asked for a bowl of hollandaise sauce, which was promptly given.

As tourists, we ate there for the first time with friends and ordered again for the next day. The food, really very tasty, really extensive, was served very friendly, everyone was more than full. Thumbs up. Ambience was great. It's super cozy there. So keep it up. Unfortunately we can't eat there often, the distance from Schwerin is too far. We can only warmly recommend the restaurant to everyone in the region.

When I'm in Celle, it's the first address I go to 😊 Best fried potatoes far and wide. The meat is excellent, regional, fresh, the chops, the salad with mayo dressing... oh, I would love to be there now... I give it five stars, although I have to say that it wasn't enough for the asparagus. I've been to Pigs Schulze several times. It's a classic German restaurant "Celle's Secret Town Hall"! The service, especially from the male waiter, is simply excellent. The food, typically North German, is very tasty and there is my absolute favorite beer, “Kloster Andechs”, which is rare. To eat: You can order more potatoes and side dishes at any time. However, I have to say that there was too little asparagus. They were thin 7 sticks. However, the schnitzel was very large and with the potatoes that we ordered, it was fine. We will eat asparagus with schnitzel there again, but then we will order an extra portion of asparagus. What would also be desirable would be to show which asparagus farm in Celle we work with. Ambiance: We sat outside and the facade was just finished. She looks simply outstanding. The toilets, on the other hand, are very clean, but are still from the 50s. An update would definitely be good. Still, it's always an experience to eat there.

Lovely rustical restaurant with typical German dishes. Friendly owners and delicious food at reasonable prices, offered extra (top up) sauce and Bratkartoffeln at no extra cost. Highly recommended. Even Helmut Kohl has eaten here, amongst some other famous people. 🐶🐾💜

Small, rustic restaurant in the heart of Celle. The young waiter was very, very quick, extremely professional and tried very hard to please the guests. Top service. The salad plate was fresh and with a very tasty salad dressing (homemade). The Berlin-style liver was fried perfectly to my liking and was very well seasoned. My husband was also very happy with the schnitzel with mushrooms and fried potatoes. We liked it very much.

A very cozy atmosphere meets good home cooking. We were welcomed very warmly and friendly, the first drinks were brought quickly. The food was excellent and plentiful. It's definitely worth coming here again.

This is exactly how I expected the food at Pigs Schulte to be. Really solid home cooking! And after dinner a 108 (the first in my life). It burns, but helps with digestion.

... wir kamen auf der Durchreise zufällig hier hin. Als Freunde von Grünkohl blieben wir an der Tafel draussen hängen. Wir hatten dann in der Tat einen exzellenten Grünkohl mit einer MEGA -Kasslerscheibe. Dazu Bier von der Klosterbrauerei Andechs, serviert von einer flotten Bedienung! Fazit: Empfehlenswert!

The ambience is rustic, traditional and steeped in history. The service was very attentive and hospitable. And the food: simply perfect! We almost prefer eating the side salad here than the main course! 🤔 And we are meat lovers. The fried potatoes are as they should be. So if you stop by Pigs Schulze, you can't go wrong. Full star rating from the bottom of my heart!
