Deutsches Restaurant & Hotel - Zur Glocke in Celle

We recently had dinner at the Glocke. The service was incredibly friendly. The food was impeccable! Generously sized portions and, most importantly, everything was freshly prepared. A top address for good food!

I didn't know this restaurant, even though I've lived here for 25 years. It's a restaurant where they sometimes play country music and serve good, home-style cooking. Highly recommended, very nice owners 👍.

Great food, wonderful friendly service, excellent playlist but not intrusive. Clearly very popular, which is understandable, so reservations recommended. We’ve just moved to Celle, have been here three times, and will make it a regular haunt.

Last night, the three of us dined at the restaurant and had a truly wonderful evening. The food was outstanding – fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. The drinks were also excellent and perfectly complemented this thoroughly enjoyable evening. A very special thank you goes to Adil. He treated us with such warmth, attentiveness, and kind words throughout the entire evening that we felt welcome from the very first moment. His dedication and friendly manner made our visit truly special. We will gladly return and highly recommend this restaurant!

We've rarely eaten as well and as deliciously as at the "Zur Glocke" restaurant. Impressing a group of seven people (each ordering a different dish) with such culinary delights is probably no easy feat. But here, it was absolutely possible. No one had a single complaint; everyone was completely thrilled, and not just with the food; the staff was also incredibly kind and friendly. The value for money is beyond reproach. If you want to eat well in Celle, then head to "Zur Glocke" 🔔 ☺️

I had a delicious pork knuckle here, super crispy and juicy! The sauerkraut was delicious. You have to be pretty hungry to finish that portion.

I chose the Glocke because of the good reviews and the great menu. Where we come from, things like beef rolls, cabbage rolls, and sauerbraten aren't on the menu, and if they are, they're not as tasty 😋 or as good. If you visit Celle, you should eat here at least once.

The spaghetti bolognese was by far the smallest portion I've ever been served in my life. Quite tasty, but the amount was far from worth the €9.90. Otherwise, it was delicious.

Had a wonderful lunch there, typical german food that tasted almost like home made. We got recommended the "Pfifferlinge soup" which was amazing 😍 The owner is a super host that extremely engaged, we had some good laughs and felt right at home. When you are in Celle I would highly recommend to visit there to have a succulent german meal and a good chat.

Recommended. We were there as a large group. We made a reservation in advance. We pre-ordered the food. Unfortunately, a dish we had ordered multiple times and in a timely manner was unavailable. One of the food's shortcomings meant we were supposed to get a free drink. It was actually included on the bill. It's a shame; I wish I'd avoided that, because the food was delicious and the portions were generous. Friendly and attentive staff. The chef was cheerful and cheerful. Sometimes a little less is more. We would definitely go back, though.

For my wife and me, this is the BEST German restaurant so far! The food is excellent, the salad is simply fantastic, and the dressing is even more so. We sat comfortably outside on the terrace and felt completely at home. A lovely waitress and a friendly chef served us together. We had Sauerbraten and Zürcher Geschnetzeltes, both very tasty. The prices were perfectly reasonable. There were also delicious cocktails. We loved it there. A place where hospitality is still very important. Keep it up 👍

My favorite place for German cakes in Celle. We went there today for my birthday. Absolutely delicious. Chanterelles with bread dumplings. And as a birthday present, we got a crepe roll from Adil. We waited an hour for our order. When I mentioned it, I was told that the restaurant was full. Meanwhile, all the other guests received their orders within 20 minutes. I think if it takes an hour to prepare beef, this should be mentioned in advance when placing the order. In that case, we would have gone somewhere else. We also ordered nuggets, but received fish sticks instead. However, my child said it was fine, and we didn’t mention it since we had already been waiting an hour. the food was good and the personal is friendly.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't the best; it couldn't have been cooked by one chef. The vegetables were overcooked, soggy in the water, the fried potatoes absorbed the water slowly and tasted accordingly, and the meat was cooked much too hot and difficult to cut. Friendly service when ordering. I had to wait over five minutes to pay. I remembered Celle differently!

Incredibly good food: We had the cordon bleu and once the Wiener Schnitzel. The fried potatoes were truly delicious, and the small salad served beforehand was very fresh. Back again after a mini-tour of Celle – and whoosh, we're recognized. Great, now we feel important too. Thanks for that. The food? Annoyingly good. Flavor explosions that almost make you feel offended that you can't make something like that at home. And the mayonnaise? Please. Who gave you permission to serve such divine mayo? Outrageously delicious. The team kept asking us if everything was OK – probably to make sure we weren't secretly stealing the recipe. In short: You completely won us over with your hospitality, your humor, and your suspiciously good cooking. We'll be back. And we'll be hungry. Very hungry. We spent a day in the beautiful town of Celle, and after all the sightseeing, we were thirsty and hungry. We passed by the Glocke restaurant, grabbed a seat, and what can we say? We were so impressed by the excellent food, the friendliness of the staff, and the super friendly chef, who always had a witty joke for everyone. Simply wonderful, we highly recommend it! If we're ever in Celle again, we'll definitely stop there again!

Vi såg fram emot en klassisk schnitzel i Tyskland o den vi fick va toppen! Men vi hade önskat att den var tunnare och hade potatissallad som alternativ istället för klyftor. Ja tog sparrissoppa och den var väldigt krämig men ja hade önskat lite mer sparrisbitar i den. För priset är det riktigt bra och jättetrevlig personal!

It was a lot of fun: we were hungry and just walked in. Even though everything was reserved, they found a seat for us. The staff were super nice, helpful, and attentive. I really liked that. The food was good. My grilled chicken was a bit dry, but still good. We'd love to come back here.

Had an onion schnitzel with gravy. The gravy was very tasty. The schnitzel would have benefited from more intensive contact with pepper and salt before being breaded. As well as a meat tenderizer. The salad was crisp. Rustic. The prices are quite reasonable for Celle.

10/10 With the selection of good food you couldn't decide! I ended up having a BestCeller burger and I can confidently say it was the best burger I've had in forever. My special requests were also happily fulfilled. A real taste explosion, incredibly good! I wish I could have eaten the entire menu. The service was just as good as the food! Very nice, accommodating and personable. Definitely worth a visit!
