Nettes, kleines Lokal mit Biergarten und regelmäßigen Veranstaltungen. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Raum der Wahlweise für Darts genutzt werden kann, aber auch eine Leinwand mit Projektor für Präsentationen bietet. Relativ viele vegetarische/vegane Gerichte, aber auch Fleisch und saisonal Fisch oder Eintopf.

Gutes Plus: Es gibt hier Geiling Bräu – das hebt das Ganze direkt an. Die Bedienung ist allerdings eher gemächlich und nicht besonders aufmerksam oder flott. Wer Zeit mitbringt, kommt klar, wer schnellen Service erwartet, wird eher enttäuscht. Insgesamt solide, aber mit Luft nach oben beim Service. Das Essen dagegen war ganz in Ordnung. Mit der Bezahlung ging alles daneben.

Der schwarze Adler ist seit vielen Jahren bekannt. Schon meine Eltern haben in ihren jungen Jahren dort getanzt und gefeiert. Ende der 40ger und Anfang der 50ger. Ich selbst mit über 70 war begeistert. Super Essen in einem urigen Ambiente. Einfach nur toll und unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Empfehlenswert! Ich bin immer wieder mal hier - zum Essen und für eine gute Zeit mit Freunden. Das Essen war bisher immer richtig gut, teilweise etwas angenehm ausgefallen. Es gibt auch einige vegetarische Angebote. Der Service war immer freundlich und aufmerksam, aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Ambiente ist rustikal-gemütlich und die regelmäßige Kunstausstellungen passen gut hier rein. Der Gartenbereich ist ebenfalls echt schön gemacht. Ich werde wiederkommen.

Das Essen war wirklich top – das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt hier absolut! Auch das Personal hat einen sehr angenehmen, professionellen Auftritt und sorgt dafür, dass man sich willkommen fühlt. Die Location ist schön gestaltet und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Ein kleiner Minuspunkt: Es war leider etwas kühl im Raum, sodass man leicht fröstelt. Wenn daran noch gearbeitet wird, ist es perfekt!

Sehr gemütlicher Biergarten. Liebenswerter Service. Die selbstgemachte Limo schmeckt super. Der Antipasti Teller war sehr schmackhaft. Hat uns dazu bewegt bald wieder den Schwarzen Adler zu besuchen. Endlich ist Babarcar zurück und das Willkommens Menü war hervorragend.

Ein nettes Lokal auch für kleine Veranstaltungen. Das Essen könnte etwas abwechslungsreicher sein, ist aber okay. Schwierig ist es derzeit durch Straßenbaustellen dorthin zu kommen, aber nicht unmöglich. Evtl. schwierig mit Parkplätzen solange die Baustelle besteht.

I think the cooperative concept is great. It's true civic engagement for the gastronomically desolate Lower Rhine region. Really well-designed website. The online reservation into digital nirvana is authentic to the region. This way, you can immediately start a lively conversation with people upon arrival. Icebreaker without effort and long pauses! The fact that, as a paying customer, you have to lend a hand to the waiter also contributes to the authentic, hands-on mentality. Typical Lower Rhine! Whether it's Guinness or Grolsch, the main thing here is a shandy. In principle, the drink selection is also irrelevant. Pre-ordering is meant to demonstrate attention to detail. If you don't have a crack in your bowl, maybe you'll find it in your glass? Whoever found it? Right!! 100 points. A round of new beer, or shandy, or whatever.... and then round two begins at the Black Eagle, and time flies. At some point, things move on. Part of the gastronomic journey of pleasure involves waiting for minutes after the daily specials are only partially served. A real anticipation at its finest! Part of the test of patience is, of course, experiencing the so-called "Chinese whispers effect" and watching the experts at work, skillfully working around the customer's wishes without losing sight of the goal. The goal of this journey is, of course, to have an unforgettable and unique family meal that everyone will talk about for years to come, and every year the story circulates about how I had to fetch my own ingredients from the kitchen of the Black Eagle. Unbelievable but true. Thank you for this wonderful experience. We will definitely be back with unwelcome guests.

One of my favorite cultural bars for almost 50 years... Whether it's a class reunion, a big birthday or just because: it's always fun!!! And on May 31, 2025, everything will come full circle with an exhibition of the banana sprayer, because it had its first one here 40 years ago.

Four of us were here on Easter Monday. Food itself tasted good. But far too little for the price. None of us are big eaters, but we don't eat enough for ourselves. We had the fish platter and rump steak. The rump steak was also served very carelessly. All four of us were disappointed and will not eat here again. It was the first and last time for us.

Very tasty food. The chicken is particularly recommended...mmh...! However, people with garlic allergies should take particular care with this dish. The evenings with Hans-Dieter Hüsch in the 1980s are unforgettable for me. Particularly noteworthy is the team's good taste in music... My people and I were able to enjoy Mitch Ryder's performances there a few times. The nice and friendly service team doesn't avoid any conversation. This shop is only recommended! My next event there will be Andreas Diehlmann on May 16, 2025. I'm looking forward to the good music and I'm already hungry.

Today the boss made a complete mistake on duty. According to his statements, the card service works sometimes yes, sometimes no, and refuses to point out, e.g. B. through a notice. The customer only became aware of this during the payment process. The nearest ATM is about 3 km away. We were there by bicycle and still had enough change with us. Thanks for the service.

Spontan auf ein Bierchen und eine Kleinigkeit essen...so war es eigentlich gedacht. Da uns jedoch die Menükarte nicht zusagte, bestellte man nur die Getränke. Daraufhin wurden wir vom Restaurantleiter aufgefordert, den Tisch frei zu machen und mit den Getränken in eine Nebenecke des Lokals an einen Stehtisch zu gehen, obwohl das Lokal nur mäßig besucht war. Diese Geste entspricht nicht einem "ausgezeichneten Service und hervorragender Gastfreundschaft "

The store has been a cult favorite for over 40 years. The kitchen is well frequented. The seating in the hall is very narrow.

It was once the cult pub on the left bank of the Lower Rhine for many decades! Unfortunately, the new management cannot maintain the positive impression. Failure to adhere to clear agreements and the casual cancellation of confirmed bookings from one day to the next destroy trust. If the Black Eagle wants to continue to exist, I recommend an urgent change of course. I would be very sad if the location no longer existed.

You come in on a Friday evening 45 minutes before closing time to have a drink but are turned away by the younger, unfriendly lady. You should please go somewhere else, if the other two guys left straight away then it would be over. 😂😂 ridiculous somehow

Visited the restaurant spontaneously on a Friday. It was well attended, we asked the waitress for two free seats when the boss (?) of the shop came out of the kitchen and told us we should make a reservation in advance. We were assigned a table by the very nice service staff. The food was ok, the beer was great, but the reception was absolutely wrong.

I was there with my yoga class. Very nice and friendly service and really good and more than sufficient food (most people didn't make it and had the rest of their food packed up). And the atmosphere is just cozy.

Unfortunately, the hall was old and was much too crowded, the service was disorganized and sometimes very unfriendly. It's a shame because the band was very good.

The Black Eagle is a nice, cooperatively run restaurant where various other activities such as music events or, as at the moment, exhibitions are held. The artist “Gabriele Bank” is currently exhibiting her paintings there. The food was very tasty and I would like to come back.

Concerts with a living room feeling! Very personal and very close to top musicians! I saw Julian Sas and Henrik Freischlader there in quick succession and it was fantastic!

There were two of us in the Black Eagle. The atmosphere is very cozy. There is also a great beer garden. There are really many great dishes on the menu. As a schnitzel fan, of course I had to have a schnitzel... it was incredibly tasty. Even if you're a vegetarian you'll find great things there... something for everyone. We'll be back... 😀

Went to the outdoor restaurant in the evening with our family (5+1/2 people). The service was top. We are very disappointed with the food. The salad bowl consisted of ingredients from cans and jars except for some fresh salad. The schnitzel with fries we ordered was cold. The complaint was accepted and was resubmitted after about an hour and a half. This was then satisfactory. When we settled the bill, we were not charged for the schnitzel as compensation. Unfortunately, the evening was very relaxing. Too bad.

Former cult pub whose service suffers massively due to temporary student staff! Dear cooperative members, please think about professional service staff! On my last visit I found a "service diaspora": endless waiting times for service, drinks or the bill! Forgotten orders and flimsy excuses instead of apologies! Instead, chatting takes place behind the counter! Unbearable! These conditions make it difficult to visit your cooperative project, which is otherwise worth supporting!

Short and sweet...NEVER AGAIN We had reserved a table for 10 people. I have never had such bad service. Neither was anyone asked in between whether everyone was still taken care of, nor was there any eye contact so that we could have signaled to order something else. Then we finally managed to get the order for the food taken. We then had to wait 1 3/4 hours. The food was then cold, one of the dishes was wrong. Except for the ribs dish, it wasn't a big hit either.

Nice location and very nice employees. Were there today for an event and the team organized and did everything well despite the crowd of almost 100 people. The food was also excellent for a buffet. I will certainly come back privately with my family.

Wow! Wow! und Wow! Seit neustem gibt’s im Schwarzen Adler Rheinberg Pizza. Aber nicht irgendeine, sondern eine eigene Kreation, die man so noch nie gegessen hat. Die Pizza wird gefaltet und solch einen Teig findet man nirgendwo in der Umgebung. Überzeugt euch gerne selbst von dieser leckeren und einzigartigen Pizza, die es jeden Dienstag dort gibt. Mich würde eure Meinung hierzu sehr interessieren, wie ihr die Pizza findet, also lasst hier gerne einen Kommentar und ein Feedback da :)

Wow! Wow! and wow! Pizza has recently been added to the Schwarzen Adler Rheinberg. But not just any, but your own creation that you have never eaten before. The pizza is folded and you won't find such dough anywhere in the area. Feel free to convince yourself of this delicious and unique pizza that is available there every Tuesday. The best pizza in the area *.* The Neapolitan-style pizza is served folded and can be put together yourself with all sorts of ingredients. Particularly recommended is the stracciatela “sauce” (a type of torn burrata as a topping). Order the pizza diligently 🤗 then hopefully the Adler Pizza will be available beyond July.

Super great place for celebrations, events and just going out to eat. The beer garden is great, the food is also really good, especially the pizza with different toppings. The service is terrific, Can just be recommended.

Were at an event. So don't stay in the restaurant for so long. Food was tasty, service could be improved. But at the moment you can hardly get people. So, everything is good.

We had our class reunion in the black eagle, unfortunately I couldn't get to the eagle on time because I still had to work. The other guests had already ordered food, I just wanted to order something to drink. When I wanted to place my order, the answer I got was that no more drinks could be ordered because the counter couldn't process the orders. At the end of the evening, more food was brought to our table than was actually eaten at the table. This led to a big discussion about who would pay for this now. Sorry, I don't understand that. The atmosphere is nice, and the school friends were mostly happy with the food. However, the service was different

Great ambience, rustic, friendly staff...

Was there on “grater cookie day” and promised me delicious grated cookies. The buffers were badly burned and dripping with oil. I could only eat 2 pieces and had the rest go back. The waiter asked if he should give me the rest, to which I expressed my criticism. He cleared it without comment and without a reaction.

We spent a cozy evening there with friends. The food is now very good again, as is the service. We are looking forward to a lovely summer in the beer garden. See you soon

We were able to enjoy a great guitar concert yesterday but that was about it in terms of positive impressions. Internet menu did not correspond to the real menu on site. The exhibitor in front of the entrance advertised dishes that, according to the staff, won't be available until next month. Well, it wouldn't have been so crazy if the food had been okay. Out of 7 meals, 1 was okay (kale of the day). Fries fried to death, molded meat schnitzel?, the side salad smelled and tasted of fish. Fish and veggie burgers were soggy and crumbly. Our complaint was gratefully accepted, but instead of an apology from the boss, the help gave us some cake. Sorry, but you shouldn't fob off your customers like that. I really hope that was an exception.

Have dinner at Adler. Tuesdays are ribs day. Once please have the ribs with fries and salad, once please have the spaghetti in parmesan (stirred) with oil, garlic and prawns. The tables are almost all occupied, a bit noisy, but that's just how it is there. You sit on wooden chairs, some of which have no cushions, rustic and “iconic”. Half of the fries were very, very crispy, probably fried twice (reduces food waste). The spaghetti was not freshly cooked, unfortunately warmed up. These lukewarm spagetti cannot warm up the Parmesan in the body sufficiently and therefore do not accept the Parmesan. The prawns were in the pan for too long and were therefore too hard, this could be done better. Conclusion: Savings are being made at the wrong end here. The spaghetti at the Italian restaurant is always freshly cooked, and they know why, it's no big deal. The ribs were good and so was the salad. With a little more effort, the quality can improve significantly. The prices were OK.

We had invited about 30 people to a family celebration in the Schwarzer Adler cooperative pub. The rooms were beautifully festively decorated. The brunch buffet was extensive and of great quality. The staff was very accommodating that Sunday morning. All in all a successful, very well organized celebration.

Went there for the Adler Disco. Nice location. Good music, good mood, relaxed and mixed audience.

I had the pleasure of celebrating the New Year at the Schwarzer Adler Cooperative Restaurant and would now like to give my review. First of all, I have to say that unfortunately we were only able to get tickets for the party and therefore didn't get to enjoy the menu. However, our friends who dined in the restaurant were completely enthusiastic about their experience. The food was excellent and they were completely satisfied. Now to the party: It was just an absolute blast! The atmosphere was great, the music made people want to dance and celebrate and the entire ambience was just perfect for a New Year's Eve. The event team really did a great job and ensured we had an unforgettable evening. The service staff was friendly and attentive, so we didn't miss anything. I can only recommend the Schwarzer Adler cooperative restaurant and hope that they will host many more successful events like this in the future. Keep it up!

I really enjoyed the New Year's Eve gala menu at Adler and can only recommend it! The food was very tasty and the rooms were beautifully decorated. The service staff was friendly and attentive, so we felt well looked after. The atmosphere was just great. Overall, it was a successful evening that I would like to repeat.

Wir haben uns hier gestern mit dem Weihnachstmenue verwöhnen lassen. Die Menuefolge war interessant und gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Sie Speisen wurden optisch ansprechend serviert und es hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt. Zudem war das Serviceteam freundlich und zuvorkommen und besonderes genossen haben wir die ruhige Atmosphäre, ohne Hektik und Eile. Ein großes Kompliment an das Küchenteam und an das Serviceteam. Vielen Dank, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Update 2023: Der Service hat sich deutlich verbessert. Auch der Biergarten ist nun wettertauglich. Der Wechsel in der Geschäftsführung scheint zu wirken. Ebenso ist das Genossenschaftssystem gut für kontinuierlichen Zulauf. Die Kulturveranstaltungen sind ohne Frage immer noch das Highlight. Ansonsten gilt immer noch: Der Laden lebt von den Kulturveranstaltungen und der Monopolstellung als Kneipe.
