We were there for a family celebration. The entire place was very old and smelled old. We could still smell it on our clothes at home. The older ladies serving seemed overwhelmed; later, younger waitresses joined who were more in control. The food from the hot buffet was overcooked, burnt, and oversalted... Everything here needs a complete overhaul...

Dear owners of Schützenhof! Your old inn is old, but why are you letting this place fall into such disrepair? Stayed for one night, and it wasn't worth a single star. Dirty rooms, not cleaned, dust and cobwebs everywhere. If we hadn't driven so far, we would have driven home the night after the Kalkberg event. This is simply unacceptable! Cleanliness and hygiene are paramount in the hotel industry. Unfortunately, your hotel is not recommended. You should close it immediately, and I advise everyone not to stay here. Upstairs, where the rooms are, there's a carpet that poses a tripping and accident hazard. As a trained hotel manager, I must tell you clearly: What you're selling here is absolutely disgusting! The friendly waitress, who also made us a small breakfast, scored highly. That was fine! Not recommended!

No, not from my point of view. The rooms are decorated in a 70s style. There was a toilet in the room, but to wash your hands you had to go into the room and use the sink. The cleanliness also left a lot to be desired. The television could only be watched via a dedicated connection, so there were no HD channels.

The inn is getting on in years but that's exactly why it's worth a visit. The bowling alley works and the kale platter was excellent. I'm looking forward to the next time!!

Typical old country inn, everything as before

I spent one night in this hotel with my parents. We were already aware in advance that it was getting a bit old. However, when we arrived, we were very surprised at the reception. Unfortunately, the receptionist who handed us the keys seemed very drunk and there was a strong smell of smoke throughout the hotel. The towels in our room had indefinable stains, so we decided to go to bed without a shower. The entire hotel is also covered with carpets that have probably not been cleaned since it opened. We are aware that a hotel and its furnishings no longer look like new after years of operation. However, to let an accommodation business degenerate like we had to experience that weekend is a real shame. The breakfast buffet was very poor and still almost the best part of the entire stay. We will not come back and would not recommend the hotel.

I was at the Schützenhof with my mother in 2013 or so. The food was delicious if I remember correctly, and I even got to look at the rooms. Then I wanted to have dinner there again with my mother, and the tenant wouldn't let us in. I also heard that it was going to be torn down. But when I walked past it the other day it was still standing there. Instead of new operators coming in, it will probably sink into the ground. 😥😥😔

Overnight stay not recommended. Very dirty rooms and no service. Breakfast was the cheapest baked rolls and pretty poor.

warum 4 sterne ? Originalität deko einfache leckere küche müste man öfter hin auf ein bier nostalgie pur...die stube und der saal tanztee kinder geburtstage unsw.einfach mal aus probieren....der schützenhof darf nicht sterben...bad seberg geht hin....

Nostalgie pur ein location highlight für Film und Fernsehen....gutes essen grosse Saal für feste und feiern....

Richtig nett und urig. Rustikale Küche mit frischem leckeren Essen. Beeilt Euch mit einem Besuch. Wenn der Pächter in 1-3 Jahren in den Ruhestand geht, wird das Gebäude abgerissen und es werden Wohnungen gebaut.

Erstmal nochmal Danke für 2 wunderschöne Tage. Unterkunft und Essen komplett in Ordnung. Netter Service und Hr. Dill einfach nur nett. Preis Leistungsverhältnis sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder. Fam. Junghans

Gut Bürgerliche Küche über 200 Jahre im Familienbesitz gerne wieder

Man wird immer freundlich begrüßt. Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und wenn Herr Dill Zeit hat ist auch mal ein kleiner plausch kein Thema! Die Preise sind familaer und morgens das Frühstück mit inbegriffen. Man kommt jedes Jahr gerne wieder her - wie zum Kalkberg!

Das Essen ist sehr gut, richtig gute Küche nach Alt Deutscher Küche, in der Küche ist noch die Besitzerin ( über 80 Jahre alt ). Für das Kochen müsste Sie 5 Sterne bekommen, das Restaurant und die Nebenräume sind jedoch Sanierungsbedürftig und die Räumlichkeiten sollten gründlicher geputzt werden.
