Das Ludwigs in Bad Segeberg

Unfortunately, the occasion was a sad one - a coffee session after a funeral service in the church opposite. But that couldn't be changed. We were warmly welcomed at Ludwigs, everything went as planned with the boss. Maybe not so nice for him, but it was great for us given the circumstances that there wasn't that much going on at the time. So we had time and space for ourselves and the cozy atmosphere there. If there is a “but” at all, it might be that the butter cake was perhaps left uncovered for too long and was therefore a bit dry. But there was cream for that ;). The service was great, apple pie, Berliners and all drinks were wonderful, the prices are really acceptable, and dogs are also allowed (which sat quietly under the table with us) - nothing to be desired. Next time I would like to do it on a happier occasion.

Great dishes, great ambience, great staff. If you like home cooking, this is the place for you. We will definitely come here again when we are in Bad Segeberg.

Ordered flatbread and got 2 old wholemeal rolls! Schnitzel super dry! Sorry, it was totally disappointing for me because I'm used to it differently from you

Good morning I had currywurst fries, the price was OK and my wife also tasted a salad that was OK. My daughter's spaghetti Bolognese, however, wasn't that good and unfortunately didn't taste good either. We won't come back.

Wir haben jetzt dreimal den Fehler gemacht und haben hier gegessen. Das essen war extrem enttäuschend und Meister Maggi gehört hier leider zum Hauptbestandteil der Küche.Beim letzten besuch haben wir unser essen zurück gegen und beanstandet nur leider konnte unsere Bedienung unsere Reklamation nicht verstehen,da ihre Deutschkenntnisse nicht reichten.Möchte nicht böse klingen nur ein gelernter Koch hätte das Essen nicht so aus der Küche gegeben.Versucht bitte besser zu werden und auch mehr Segeberger würden wieder kommen.

We wanted to have something to eat there this afternoon. After we got the menu, we didn't have the opportunity to order anything because the waitress didn't respond despite shouting. After about 20 to 25 minutes we left the restaurant. The waitress noticed this but didn't react in any way.

I cannot recommend the restaurant. We ordered 2 different pasta dishes. It was the same basic sauce (made from cream), which was completely over salted. The “Carbonara” had absolutely nothing to do with a carbonara. Firstly, as mentioned above, the sauce consisted of cream, secondly, there were so many spring onions in the sauce and “only” small cubes of bacon were used. Of course, every restaurant can decide how to implement the carbonara, but this was by far the worst I've ever eaten. All I can say about the drinks is that I ordered a Cola Zero, but there was no Cola in the glass. I'm a big Pepsi fan and of course I recognized the taste straight away. The Lillet of my companion was said to be quite “OKAY”, but nothing more. The waiters were always trying hard.

+++ Update +++ Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't develop for the better. Since we were disappointed once before 5 years ago, we wanted to give the restaurant a second chance and it wasn't used. First we had to wait for our reserved table. We ordered the flatbread with garlic dip in advance and it consisted of 2 pieces of ready-made flatbread from the supermarket on the corner and the dip was "tipped over" i.e. liquid and tasted bad. We think the dip was sitting outside unrefrigerated. And that for 5 euros is really cheeky and extortionate. When you asked the waitress about it, you responded with annoyance. With an eye roll, they brought us a new dip that was chilled and delicious. The main courses weren't great either. We had several schnitzels with fried potatoes. The schnitzel was a ready-made frozen schnitzel that was fried and the fried potatoes were floury potatoes that they tried to fry. The schnitzels all looked different too. Some were flat like flounder and some were curved. When you asked why that was, you responded with a shrug of your shoulders and the words “I have no idea.” The pork schnitzel is called Wiener Schnitzel here, but that is incorrect. At the end when we paid we wanted to add a meal to the bill that we didn't even have. You can try it with several people. We definitely do not recommend the store. Attention, attention People are being ripped off here. We went to the 8 p.m. performance of the Karl May Festival. A few days before I drove here to reserve a table. My sentence: "Hello, I wanted to reserve a table for 5 people to eat here on Saturday at 11 p.m." The waitress's answer: "All right. See you on Saturday." We went there this evening and the unmotivated and unfriendly waitress came up and said, "Hello, what can I bring?" We said, "The card please. We want to eat something." She replied in a mushy tone: "No. Kitchen only until 10 p.m." When we asked why we weren't told when we made the reservation, the answer was "Kitchen only until 10 p.m.. Everyone knows that." Then just do not. Goodbye forever!!!

Went there for the first time to eat in a small group. Unfortunately, the food was incredibly bad, the Jägerschnitzel was dry and hard, dripping in fat from the deep fryer, the frozen food was completely inedible, the sauce was also ready-made... so that's why you eat out? The one star is for the service, which was courteous and hard-working, but it doesn't help if the food doesn't taste good. I was irritated by the extensive menu, and the result was almost to be expected.

Super fast - super delicious and huge portions!

Friendly and cheerful staff. There is no clear line in the menu but all dishes are well prepared and made from good ingredients. You can't go wrong - unless you order sour meat and get smoked pork in aspic :) (that was probably my mistake) There is an excellent beer selection.

Ok food. Nothing special. Their carbonara was with bechamel sauce and not cream and egg yolks. The schnitzel had too little sauce for the portion.

You can sit inside and outside, food (meatballs and gyros, matjes another time) came quickly, service is attentive and friendly, it tastes really good, prices and portions are fair. Gladly again!

Very reasonable prices and good food! Top: there is non-alcoholic Carlsberg on tap. The gyro plate costs 13.90 euros and the coffee prices are absolutely OK for the quantity (see photo)

Very nicely located restaurant in the center of Bad Segeberg with outdoor seating.

Today the delicious fried potatoes were totally soggy because the cook poured tasteless mushroom sauce over them. I was very disappointed, I remembered it so well... The waitress quickly realized that something was wrong and ignored my hand signals.

Food was delicious, atmosphere was good, Personally, the salmon tarte flambée was too dry for me - although there was a dip with it (which in my opinion was just pure mustard), I was still missing something saucey on the cake.

It's been a while since I've been to Ludwig's again, I ordered gratinated soft cheese that was barely baked, served with a stale piece of flatbread. The garlic sauce was missing. At first the waitress said it didn't belong, but then added it, but it didn't taste good. The fact that the salad dressing was made with coarse Dijon mustard is only mentioned in passing. I know that I can't expect gourmet food in a pub restaurant. It should just taste good.

Great cozy location, gladly again

It was my first time there, I really liked it, the service was very polite and the waffle with cherries etc. was super tasty, I was there with friends, we or I would be happy to come back🙋‍♀️

The restaurant was already busy when five of us arrived without reservations. A chair was placed at a table of four in a friendly and courteous manner and we were able to place our order. The food was very tasty, good portions and the price-performance ratio was still right here! The service was also great. We will be back definitely.

I've been going to Ludwig's for years and can only recommend it! One of the only restaurants in Bad Segeberg that you can visit, unfortunately 🙄 The ambience, location and staff are simply great😊 Very good selection of drinks and food. Whether for breakfast, dinner or simply a cold drink! Sitting outside in the summer is especially great😊Unfortunately the food has deteriorated extremely after the change of ownership. Fresh, homemade Wienerschnitzel, for example, became shaped meat from the deep fryer! The portions have become smaller and the prices have increased. All in all, it's a good place to go and the food is edible 👍🏽

Das Wiener Schnitzel hat mich enttäuscht. Ich habe die Bratkartoffeln sehr genossen. Der Service war freundlich. Der Speisesaal war etwas kalt

Waren am 4. Advent/ Heilig Abend zum Frühstück mit 12 Leuten. Frühstück war mehr als ausreichend, von Aufschnitt bis Rührei und Obstsalat war alles da, was sich der Magen wünscht und Service und Preis (16,80 € Ende 2023) haben wirklich zusammen gepasst.

Ich war hier lecker Essen, die Portion war ausgesprochen gross und daher der Preis absolut gerechtfertigt. Das Personal sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Durchaus wieder mal.

Kommen des öfteren zum Lidwigs! Die Bedienung war immer freundlich und ist sehr professionell! Es bleiben kaum Wünsche offen und eine absolute Empfehlung ist das Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes! Die Ladies labern halt nicht sondern sie können es! Danke, es sollte mehr Lokale mit so Personal geben!

Richtig leckeres Essen. Auch mal was besonderes norddeutsches wie zb Birnen, Bohnen und Speck. Bisher hat alles super geschmeckt. Eine schöne Bierauswahl. Nur Grimbergen fehlt. Die Bedienung ist immer freundlich und nett. Wir sind vor kurzen in die Gegend gezogen und haben schon unser Lieblingslokal gefunden.

Wir waren mit 19 Personen dort, um ein Klassentreffen zu veranstalten. Alles hat super geklappt, von der Reservierung über die Bestellung und bis zur Versorgung über den ganzen Abend. Das Essen und Trinken war lecker, das Personal war freundlich. Alles in allem eine super runde Sache.

Nach einer Wanderung um den Segeberger See die ideale Adresse hier einzukehren! Wir hatten Glück pünktlich zum Start der Grünkohlsaison hier zu sein. Die besagten Gerichte waren sehr lecker! Preise absolut ok, Service nett und zuvorkommend!

Ein glücklicher Zufall hat uns heute in das Ludwigs geführt und wir haben super lecker gegessen - noch dazu bei erschwinglichen Preisen. Ganz tolles und aufmerksames Personal und alles sehr sauber. 👌

Freundliche Bedienung auch Bei einer kleinen Bestellung

Das Essen im Ludwig's hat sich leider immer mehr zu einem Glücksspiel entwickelt. Die Qualität ist schon vor längerer Zeit von "frisch gekocht, lecker und vielseitig" auf "schmeckt teilweise sehr nach Fertigprodukt und übersichtlicher Auswahl" gerutscht. Nun ist es aber noch so, dass (je nachdem wer in der Küche ist?!) die Portionen und Gerichte sowohl in der Menge als auch im Geschmack erheblich variieren. Was bleibt, ist die gute Lage, das nette Ambiente und der freundliche Service. Im Sommer ist das Ludwig's in Bad Segeberg schon durch die Möglichkeit des draußen Sitzens bei teilweiser richtig guter Livemusik nicht zu toppen.

Das Ambiente ist ganz nett. Die Bedienung auch. Ich bin allerdings sehr konservativ und mag nicht einfach gedutzt werden. Mag zwar sein, dass es in anderen Ländern Sitte ist. Man muss m.E. aber nicht alles nachmachen. Die Tomatensuppe und das Fladenbrot kann ich nicht empfehlen. Die Suppe schien aus der Dose zu sein. Mit Creme Fraiche verlängert und dann lieblos serviert. Das Extra in der Karte ausgewiesene Brot und bstellte machte auch nicht den frischesten Eindruck.

Wer das Ludwigs nicht kennt... hat die..... aber den Spruch kennt ihr ja alle. Nun mal ehrlich: Essen top, Getränke gepflegt, Ambiente auch durch die gemischte Gästeschar einzigartig und der Service setzt dem noch die Krone auf. Mehr ist nicht zu sagen.

Ich kann’s nicht verstehen, wir waren bereits das 2te Mal vor Ort essen, wonach uns den Tag darauf so unglaublich schlecht und übel war. Und das nach verschiedenen Gerichten. Das kann doch nicht sein.. Das letzte Mal wollte mir der Service doch tatsächlich erklären, das die Originale Carbonara aus Italien aus Spaghetti und gestocktem Ei (Rührei) besteht. Würde ich da niemals wieder bestellen. Auch sehr schade, dass nur Schweineschnitzel angeboten werden.

Das Ludwigs, immer wieder ideal für einen schönen Abend mit Freunden draußen am Kirchplatz oder auch in den kälteren Monaten drinnen. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich und das Preisleistungsverhältnis für die Gerichte stimmt einfach. Das Ludwigs wird immer internationaler und somit immer interessanter, es wird wohl meine Lieblingslokalität.

Sehr leckeres Essen, schöner Platz gegenüber der Kirche. Freundlichkeit, die heute nur noch selten anzutreffen ist. Empfehlenswert!

Wir haben am einem Mittwoch im Ludwigs gefragt, ob wir Frühstück haben können. Trotz dem,dass es „eigentlich „ nur Wochenende Frühstück gibt, bekamen wir ein super leckeres Frühstück serviert. Es ließ keine Wünsche offen und das zu einem sagenhaft humanen Preis. Hier geben wir ***** Sterne für das Frühstück und den Service. Schade, dass wir nicht in der Nähe wohnen, wir wären bestimmt oft dort. Vielen Dank für das hervorragende Frühstück und den tollen Service. Ute und Hartmut aus Frankfurt
