Sehr leckeres Rinderhüftensteak mit Pilz und Ofenkartoffel. Service Personal und der Chef waren freundlich. Ambiente sehr schön im Natur von Wäldern. Sehr gemütlich!

Die Maultaschen sind sehr zu Empfehlen und vorallem der Kartoffelsalat sehr 😋 lecker.

Super nettes Personal, Wirt, Bedienung top. Die meisten Essen sehr zu empfehle, nur für die Bratkartoffel leider kein grosses Lob, zu dick gerädelt, halbe Wagenräder und zu vollgesaugt. Aber trotzdem sehr zu empfehlen.

Echt schwäbisches Essen in ruhiger Lage. Trotz allem, vermisse ich Pommes. Dafür gibt es Geröstete Kartoffeln, die zur Abwechslung auch recht gut schmeckten. Personal ist soweit OK, locker und lässig.

Es hatte so richtig deutsches Kneipenflair, und bei der Lage und dem Wetter war es einfach perfekt, vor allem wegen des Essens: herzhaft, reichhaltig und unglaublich lecker. Die Spätzle waren himmlisch, das Schnitzel perfekt, aber die Maultaschen gehörten zu den besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Ich war ehrlich gesagt versucht, noch eine Portion zu bestellen. Die Bedienung war außerdem super freundlich und hat sich angeregt mit uns unterhalten. Wir waren dort, um ein WM-Spiel zu schauen, und es gab ein kostenloses, leichtes Buffet. Die Atmosphäre war einfach großartig. Ich würde allein wegen des Essens wieder hingehen, denn es ist ein Traum und mit das beste Essen, das ich je gegessen habe!

Das Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln war leider nicht gut, viel zu fettig. Spätzle und hausgemachte Brötchen waren hingegen lecker. Der Service war ausgesprochen unfreundlich und unmotiviert. Man konnte uns nicht einmal einen Wein aus der Region empfehlen.

Gut bürgerliches Essen. Uriges, rustikales Ambiente. Alles hausgemacht wie bei Oma. Wir kommen wieder.

Auf der Suche nach einem schwäbischen Abendessen sind wir aufgrund der guten Bewertungen nach Stetten gefahren. Was soll ich sagen! Wir wurden nicht entäuscht! Herzlicher Empfang durch den Chef! Es gab leckere Fleischküchle mit Käspätzle, einen tollen Rostbraten, einen üppigen Schwabenteller und man höre und schreibe dazu einen selbstgemachtem Kartoffelsalat. Vorneweg noch für uns drei einen kleinen Salat als Vorspeise. Dazu ein frisches Bier vom Fass. Das ganze zu einem vernünftigen Preis, was will man mehr? Innen wirkt alles etwas rustikal aber dennoch sehr gemütlich da alles mit viel Liebe dekoriert ist! Eben ein alt ehrwürdiges Schützenhaus. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen garantiert bald wieder!

Oberhalb der Weinberge in Kernen TO Stetten gelegen. Freundliche Bedienung. Sehr gutes Essen. Sitz des örtlichen Schützenvereins und seit kurzem (Ende 2025) mit einer Unterabteilung Darts.

Das Weihnachtsmenü war einfach himmlisch!! Preis-Leistung und der Service wie immer tipp topp. Wir sind mit Sicherheit bald wieder bei euch! Danke für den schönen Abend.

Bestes Reh meines Lebens (regionaler gehts kaum, direkt hinter der Gaststätte im Wald geschossen), vom perfekten Fleisch über perfekte Semmelknödel zum perfekten Rotkohl und der Sauce. Geschmach 1A! Portion wie in alten Zeiten, sogar mein Mann wurde satt. Weine aus dem Remstal. Wirt war sehr freundlich, hat den Laden im Griff (Tische piccobello, alles sauber, gemütlich, freundliches gut trainiertes Personal...) und am Ende gab's ne feine Mirabelle. Danke für diese tolle Gastroerfahrung und den großartigen Betrieb dieser Kultgaststätte. Wir werden definitiv wieder kommen! #neueFans

The food was okay. The side salad was small and too expensive at €4.90.

Rustic and a bit dated. The path is also a bit "adventurous." But that doesn't detract from the 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Very friendly staff, clean, and the food was excellent and plentiful. The menu is also excellently balanced and not too long—but more than sufficient. It was a "quick visit," but we'll definitely plan on coming next time. A little paradise for children, too, with a playground and plenty of space ❤️

A great, albeit somewhat dated, shooting range, but that doesn't detract from another visit. The food was truly delicious, and the outdoor area is definitely okay, too. The staff were consistently pleasant and friendly. Next to the shooting range, there's a small playground for kids, where they can also find something to keep them occupied. From the outdoor area, there are fantastic views of the surrounding hills, vineyards, forests, and the Remstal valley and its surrounding communities. From the parking lot, you can also take a wonderful walk through the vineyards and enjoy the view. It was a great afternoon 👍

I'll just say one thing: Schnitzel is cooked in a pan. Someone should show me a restaurant within a 30-kilometer radius that serves good schnitzel. Service was extremely friendly and good. The location is very nice. I was here for the first time with my dad for his birthday on August 14th...and I'll be back often.

Here you'll find Swabian cuisine at reasonable prices. Everything here is dated, but not dirty or anything, just a little old. The food tasted good, but it was a bit heavy on the stomach. So, it was very hearty. The service was very friendly. The location makes it easy to combine a walk before or after.

Excellent fried potatoes, delicious schnitzel, a great view, and a fantastic location on the edge of the forest. Friendly staff, pleasant outdoor seating in the summer, and a cozy parlor in the winter. Plenty of parking is available. I always enjoy coming here.

Very nice there right by the forest. The food was very tasty, I had schnitzel and homemade potato salad. My husband had roast beef with fried potatoes, the portions were large. The service was very nice, courteous and quick. We will definitely be back

Were in the restaurant with a dog and had a very good reception. We ordered spring soup and it was ok. Mixed salad was very good. Onion roast 220 gr. with spaetzle was satisfactory but had no taste and spaetzle was soft. Onion roast with fried potatoes was sufficient, no taste. Fried potatoes were very dark and lying in the sauce were soft and there was a lot of sauce with no taste. Heise love good. You couldn't eat apple fritters that were dark and soaked in fat. At almost 90.00 euros, we were very disappointed after the good reviews. Maybe the chef had a bad day, but so many mistakes at once? Drinks good and cheap.

Well located, large and spacious, for the slaughter festival, well expanded. The offer is varied and deliciously cooked. Portions fit coffee cake is also offered. Even so, you should eat there. We would love to come back.

We were there with two children. The staff was friendly. What we didn't like was that there was no children's menu. Unfortunately the food wasn't really good either. The salad was too sour and the food had hardly any taste. I can't recommend it. I'm sorry.

In a beautiful environment (by/in the forest) with friendly hosts, a cozy, good meal (good bourgeois) Taking your dog with you is no problem and you always get a bowl of water straight away. We have always been satisfied and remain loyal guests.

Menu and changing monthly menu, where everyone can find what they are looking for. Great value for money. Located in the middle of the forest with a very large outdoor terrace. For cooler days you should reserve inside. Also ideal for families with children (there is also spaetzle with sauce). The potato salad and also the fried potatoes are sensationally good! We have been there with many friends and family and everyone always enjoyed it very much. Thank you for always putting in so much effort and cooking so deliciously!

Good food for reasonable prices. The best thing is when you can eat and drink in the beer garden. The interior is rather simple and rustic, just as you should/could expect in a restaurant and rifle lodge on the edge of the forest. I place more value on good food and service, and that has always worked so far.

Super tasty, as always! I'd love to come to the Schützenhaus. Thursdays are schnitzel day. A great selection of different schnitzel variations with side dishes. I've been here several times and the dishes from the menu and the changing weekly menu are always delicious. The service is courteous and friendly.

Uriges Gasthaus, essen war viel besser als erwartet. Service sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Haben einmal das Weihnachtsmenü und einmal Schweinelendchen in Rahmsoße gegessen. Beides war auf dem Punkt gegart und sehr lecker. Die Bratkartoffeln waren besonders gut.

Wir haben dort heute nach einem Ausflug zur Herzoglichen Kugelbahn gegessen. Unsere insgesamt 9 Gerichte waren alle sehr lecker. Die Bedienungen sind super nett und unkompliziert. Direkt vor der Tür hat es einen Spielplatz für die Kinder und im Sommer kann man bestimmt toll draußen sitzen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und sind total begeistert, dass es so etwas noch gibt. Selbstgemachter Kartoffelsalat wie zu Hause, sehr netter Service, man sitzt draußen sehr schön.

Es ist definitiv ein Ausflug wert die Kinder können auf dem Spielplatz spielen und die Erwachsenen können es genießen. Der Service ist super freundlich und liebenswert. Das Essen ist großartig und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Macht weiter so,wir kommen definitiv wieder im nächsten Urlaub. 😃

Oh, ein wunderschönes Restaurant und Schützenhaus. Das Essen ist super. Sehr schöne Aussichten auf Stetten und Waiblingen. Im Wald ein bisschen schön versteckt. Steht am Hang vom Katzenkopf. Parkplätze vorhanden aber auch empfehlenswert mit Fahrrad hin zu radeln. Bier ist natürlich super gut. Ich kann es nur empfehlen. Fünf Sterne! Ich komme bald wieder.

Der nette Herr von der Bedienung verdient hier mind 10 Sterne, auch die Dame, sehr sehr nett! Der Kinderspielplatz hat uns einen wunderschönen Tag ermöglicht, bei dem wir Erwachsenen reden und die Kids im Wald, vor unseren Augen, jedoch mit akustischem Abstand, toben konnten. Zuletzt gabs für die Kids je einen Lolli. Tolles Ambiente, tolles Essen und grandios nette Menschen, die ihren Beruf gerne machen. Das spürt man!
