I ordered the Frankfurt schnitzel, and it was absolutely delicious — paired with a tall glass of beer, it was the perfect combo. Yes, the asparagus was delicious. Unfortunately, we sat outside, and it got quite chilly...but it's only May. We were given pillows and blankets. You should definitely visit if you're in Bad Homburg.

Rustic atmosphere, delicious food, fast and friendly service. I deducted one point because it was quite loud. But when a lot of people are having a good time, it's hard to deal with that. So the advice only applies to noise-sensitive people like me, otherwise everything is great 😊

I was there for the second time today and was again very satisfied. You can't go wrong if you choose Pfeiffer's carpentry. The ambience is very interesting and most importantly the food, it is outstanding!

Very tasty schnitzel, nice staff and great ambience. Unfortunately, the side salad with the schnitzel has to be ordered separately and doesn't taste like a classic side salad. The burger was very simple and didn't taste particularly good. It is also very loud when there is a lot going on.

Went there on a Friday night around 9 pm, and the waitress said all the main dishes were sold out, so we ordered a mixed grill. After a whole hour of waiting, no one told us anything and no food showed up, just two beers came. When we asked again, they said the kitchen didn't take the order and was already closed. Finally they got us a cold platter with some ham and cheese. Very disappointed with the service, at least get your employees trained for taking orders and do your job seriously. This is absurd and unacceptable as a restaurant.

The waitress, an older woman with a fuller figure, was not only rude and dismissive throughout the service but also showed a complete lack of basic hygiene. She repeatedly coughed over our food without bothering to cover her mouth, making the experience both unpleasant and unhygienic.

We weren't there until after 9 p.m. on a Monday, even though there were several Christmas parties, a place was quickly found for us, the food came very quickly and was very tasty.

We ended up at the Pfeiffer carpentry shop by chance and therefore didn't reserve a table. We were offered a seat at the counter. I think those were the best places. The service from Heike and Ulf made a wonderful day in Bad Homburg an excellent end. The food was great. Always my pleasure!

I was in Bad Homburg for rehab and got a tip about the old carpentry shop. Then we looked for something because it was pretty hidden. But we were very very surprised by the food. I can only recommend the ambience, everything is SUPER👍👍👍

The portions were reasonable. Unfortunately the schnitzel was in the pan for a little too long. The table situation was rather cramped.

The ambience is exceptional, rustic, as described by many guests. Do you like it? A matter of taste. Maybe less is more? The food came quickly and didn't meet all of our expectations. The spaetzle were swimming in oil, unfortunately not crispy, but soggy. The side salad, unusually put together, but with an indefinable red sauce. The few green lettuce leaves were rather mushy. But there were tough obstacles in between. The reaction to the complaint was positive and it was not billed. Our conclusion: there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to the food on offer.

Top restaurant and recommendation in Bad Homburg! Rustically furnished in the style of a carpenter's shop with tables, benches and many other accessories. The food has always been delicious and great for years (before and after Corona). Typically Hessian e.g. Hessenschnitzel, Hessenburger and Schäufelchen. Also with outdoor dining in summer. Thank you for the good and attentive service :)

Die Location ist beeindruckend und gemütlich und ein Besuch zu empfehlen. Der Handkäse mit Musik und die Schnitzel sind lecker. Ich hatte den Burger mit Käse, der war nicht so lecker: das Brötchen unten durchgeweicht und oben hart. Gurkenscheiben en masse (anstelle eingelegter Gurken?) sowie viel grüner Salat lassen den Burger mächtig aussehen. Teurer dürfte diese Variante nicht sein;-) Mit einem Schnitzel oder Eier in grüner Soße macht man nix falsch:-)

Very tasty green sauce eaten with fried potatoes. I've always liked the typical backyard atmosphere of cider bars. It was very pronounced here and we felt extremely comfortable. The cider was very tasty and wholesome and the service was friendly.

Top local. Food was OK. Cordon Bleu seemed to have been fried in the deep fryer and Cheddar cheese was also added, rather unusual. Fried potatoes tasty but almost cold. The mushroom sauce was the same, unfortunately cold. The green sauce was super tasty, really recommended. Service is pleasantly friendly and accommodating, it's nice when someone is really keen on their job. The ambience is great. We recommend.

Eine wunderschöne Lokation im Herzen von Bad Homburg. Allerdings ist es ratsam, rechtzeitig zu reservieren, da das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte absolut ausreichend, jedes der Gerichte ist eine Empfehlung wert. Wir waren nun zum dritten Mal zu Gast und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sehr gerne wieder ... wir freuen uns schon !

Eating in a carpenter's shop, yes that is definitely possible here, lovingly furnished restaurant in Bad Homburg. As a husband you really have the feeling that you are sitting in a carpenter's shop. We received a very warm welcome and were given a place even though we hadn't reserved. The service is very friendly and very accommodating, we felt very good there. The food and drinks came very quickly and it tasted fantastic. Clear recommendation if anyone wants to eat and drink well, then they are in good hands here.

I really enjoyed my dinner w a glass of beer at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was very delicious. Inside was decorated with old tools and gives a cozy Getman feel to it. I got schnitzel with pepper sauce and it was fantastic 😋

It is an old carpenter's shop that has been converted into an inn, the food is very good and the service is perfect (Heike). There is also a small beer garden outside. The perfect place for a lovely stay.
