Schreinerei Pfeiffer Gaststätten Betriebs GmbH in Bad Homburg v.d.Höhe

Ich bin treuer Stammkunde der Schreinerei und in den letzten Jahren bestimmt 30 mal schon hier gewesen. In der Vergangenheit hat hier alles gestimmt: Top service, gute Preis-Leistung und ein wirklich einzigartiges Ambiente. Jetzt scheint es ein neues "Konzept" zu geben. Das heißt maximaler Profit. Im Hof stehen die Bänke jetzt deutlich enger zusammen, die Portionen sind spürbar kleiner geworden und Qualität (subjektiv) schlechter. Und all das zu einem empfindlich höheren Preis. Der Schreinerburger hatte vorher 8,50€ gekostet und kostet jetzt 14€ - ohne jegliche Beilagen. Leider kann ich hier in nächster Zeit nicht wieder hingehen und hoffe dass die Betreiber umdenken und schnell wieder zu ihren alten Stärken finden.

An alle die mal wieder ein richtig zartes schmackhaftes in Butterschmalz gebratenes Schnitzel genießen möchten - hier sind Sie gut aufgehoben. Bratkartoffeln / Grüne Soße / Appelwoi , alles genauso wie es sein sollte. Und der hauseigene Erdbeer Schnapps hat ein unglaublich komplexes Geschmacksprofil.

Die Schreinerei Pfeiffer ist wirklich ein besonderer Ort in Bad Homburg. Das Schnitzel mit Spiegelei war herrlich zart und hat geschmacklich voll überzeugt, ebenso das Jägerschnitzel – die Jägersauce ist wirklich empfehlenswert und rundet das Gericht perfekt ab. Auch preislich stimmt hier alles, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist absolut top für die gebotene Qualität und die großzügigen Portionen. Das Ambiente ist urig und rustikal – das Lokal ist in einer ehemaligen Schreinerei aus den 1920er-Jahren untergebracht, und überall hängen alte Werkzeuge und Gegenstände aus der Werkstatt an Wänden und Decke. Das sorgt für eine ganz eigene, authentische Atmosphäre, die man so selten findet. Im Sommer sitzt man außerdem sehr schön draußen im begrünten Hof. Passend dazu gibt es auch hausgebrautes Bier sowie regionale Apfelweinspezialitäten, die gut zur deftigen, bodenständigen Küche passen. Ein kleiner Tipp: Da der Laden sehr beliebt ist und schnell voll wird, lohnt sich eine Tischreservierung im Voraus. Insgesamt ein Ort, den man für gutbürgerliche, hessische Küche in gemütlichem Ambiente unbedingt weiterempfehlen kann.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ich war bereits vor über 30 Jahren als Abiturient mit meinen Schulfreunden in der Schreinerei und komme immer noch sehr gerne alle 2 bis 3 Monate hier vorbei, um alte Schulfreunde zu treffen. Alter gemütlicher Charme trifft auf gute Hausmannskost. Ich werde stets nett und freundlich bedient und werde hoffentlich in weiteren 30 Jahren immer noch gerne die Schreinerei besuchen. Macht weiter so, vielen Dank.

Es war ein toller Ort, aber in den letzten Monaten hat die Qualität des Essens stark nachgelassen.

Ich war mit einer Gruppe da. Für mich habe nur etwas zu Trnken bestellt. Alle waren mit dem Essen zufrieden. Man kann in dieser urigen Kneipe auch draußen auf Bänken sitzen.

Ein wirklich einzigartiges kulinarisches Erlebnis! Das Restaurant befindet sich in einer wunderschön restaurierten alten Tischlerei und verströmt eine warme, rustikale Atmosphäre voller Charme und Geschichte. Das Essen war absolut köstlich – frisch, geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Die Kombination aus dem einzigartigen Ambiente, der exzellenten Küche und dem freundlichen Service machte diesen Besuch zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis. Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die etwas Besonderes suchen!

Ein absolutes Highlight in Bad Homburg! Wir waren zum ersten Mal in der Schreinerei Pfeiffer und sind begeistert. Ich habe das Rumpsteak bestellt – perfekt auf den Punkt gegart, herrlich zart und von ausgezeichneter Qualität. Dazu passende Beilagen und ein rundum stimmiges Geschmackserlebnis. Auch das Ambiente ist etwas Besonderes: Die historische Schreinerei wurde mit viel Charme erhalten und schafft eine einzigartige, gemütliche Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Abgerundet wurde der Abend durch einen aufmerksamen, herzlichen Service. Freundlich, schnell und immer mit einem Lächeln – genau so wünscht man sich Gastronomie. Für uns definitiv eine der besten Adressen in Bad Homburg. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Der Name des Restaurants ist Programm, da das Ganze sich in ehemaligen Räumen einer Schreinerei befindet und dementsprechend auch eingerichtet ist. Einfach ein absolut urigen Laden mit total lockerem und sehr schnellen Personal, mega gutem Essen Essen zu fairen Preisen und einem Ambiente in dem man es unglaublich gut verstanden hat die Vergangenheit und Geschichte des Gebäudes zu integrieren.

Wir (2 Pers.) hatten uns kurzfristig für "gut bürgerlich" essen entschieden und es auf Empfehlung hier zu versucht. Wir mussten nicht lange warten und bekamen tatsächlich noch einen freien Tisch im Hof. Die Bestellung ging zügig und das Personal war total freundlich. Für einen langen Tag mit viel Betrieb nicht selbstverständlich. Wir mussten dann aber leider doch fast eine Stunde warten bis das Essen kam, eben weil es noch recht voll war. War kein großes Problem, wurde dann nur für die geplante Rückfahrt etwas knapp. Wir hatten 1x Jäger- und 1x Zwiebelschnitzel. Je zwei Stück, relativ groß aber dünn. Verhältnis Fleisch/Panade ca. 1/1. Die Panade hat mir pers. etwas zu arg nach (Frittier-)Öl geschmeckt. Da fehlte mir bisschen der Buttergeschmack. Pilze in der Soße waren frisch und lecker. Pommes ok, Bratkartoffeln etwas weich, ölig und ein wenig viel Rosmarin dran (Geschmack ist halt subjektiv). Insgesamt aber doch ganz lecker und auch die Portionen voll in Ordnung. Preis-/Leistung geht alles ok. Achja, Musik für uns 1A weil 80er Hits ("Boomer" eben). War schön dort; gerne nochmal und nächstes mal planen wir mehr Zeit ein. Tiefkühle Patty, aber dafür nur 8 Euro. Salat war gut, klassisch. Bier 🍺 Gaststätte mit flair.

Das habe ich noch nie dort erlebt. Man kommt an einem Freitag um 20:45 Uhr ins Lokal und bekommt gesagt, dass man kein Essen mehr bestellen kann. Es gingen nur die Essen raus die vermutlich weit vor 20:45 Uhr bestellt wurden. Noch nicht mal Handkäse konnte man bestellen.

Gutes Rustikales Lokal mit leckerer Hausmannskost

Stimmungsvolle Gaststätte mit sehr nettem, aufmerksamem Personal. Man sieht, dass sich hier alle Generationen einfinden und wohl fühlen. Meine Lieblings-Location in Bad Homburg.

Authentische vier Sterne für dieses authentische Restaurant. Der Service war sehr freundlich, auch wenn ich recht spät ohne Reservierung kam. Der Salat als Vorspeise (separat bestellbar) war sehr reichhaltig und lecker, das Steak auf den Punkt medium (leider wurde medium-rare bestellt). Die Anrichteweise - Steak auf Bratkartoffeln - kann man überdenken. Ich habe mich gesamtheitlich sehr wohl gefühlt und werde dieses Restaurant wieder besuchen.

Rustikales Ambiente mit liebevoller Dekoration. Etwas versteckt in einer Seitenstraße (Parkplätze kaum vorhanden). Sehr leckere Gerichte - besonders die Schnitzelvariationen - und aufmerksamer und netter Service!

Wow, another bullseye! Without a reservation and ravenous, we found everything at the Pfeiffer carpentry shop exactly as advertised. A very pleasant atmosphere, great food (rump steak with pepper sauce), delicious Kölsch beer 😂 no nonsense, and super friendly service. For dessert, a tasty apricot and then off to bed 😉 Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos, but if you click through the reviews, you'll find plenty 👍🏼

We used to enjoy going to the Schreinerei restaurant for meals. That changed on Monday. It was supposed to be a nice birthday dinner, but it turned into a complete disaster. The service and atmosphere were as usual. It could have been a bit warmer, though. The food, however, was absolutely terrible. I had a Jägerschnitzel with fries, my wife had a Wiener Schnitzel with fries, and my daughter had "Geholtestes" (a type of sliced ​​pork). The plate for my Jägerschnitzel was too small, so the sauce was dripping down the sides, and that wasn't because the portion was too large—it was a normal size. I personally found the plates too small, as you constantly had to be careful that nothing fell or dripped, and you ended up with your hand or sweater in the sauce. The fries, both my wife's and mine, were so hard and dry that you could barely get a fork into them. Either they were in the fryer too long or they were reheated. My daughter's fries had egg whites that were still raw and translucent in the hot pan. Absolutely unacceptable! The egg whites in my daughter's fries were raw and translucent. Completely unacceptable! After complaining about the fries and the egg whites, we were offered replacements, which we declined as we were no longer hungry or interested. However, we were then charged for EVERYTHING, which is why I'm writing this review, even though I don't usually write them. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. Update: We went to Joker yesterday, and what can I say? That's how it should be! 👍🏼

Exceptionally brilliant and very tasty. The price and quality are excellent.

Unfortunately, I couldn't try the food as the kitchen was already closed. However, the restaurant makes a very good impression, so I assume the food is also good. The ambiance is truly beautiful – especially those who love wood and handcrafted details will fall in love with it immediately. The staff is exceptionally polite, and I will definitely visit the restaurant again.

An exceptional restaurant with a rustic atmosphere. The food is superb and truly excellent value for the quality and portion size. They serve freshly tapped beer, including wheat beer. For those who prefer white wine, I highly recommend the delicious Pinot Gris. The service is outstanding. I visited twice in quick succession, and each time the staff was incredibly attentive and courteous, yet also very relaxed and friendly. On my second visit, I immediately reserved a table for a planned meal with a larger group. My enthusiasm is something you have to share! The ambiance is simply amazing. The tables are made from old workbenches, the benches from (I suspect) old church pews, and everything is lovingly decorated with antique tools. Everywhere you look, you discover something new and beautifully historical. Anyone who appreciates craftsmanship will love Pfeiffer's Carpentry Workshop. This restaurant is now among my top 5 regional favorites. In case it's not clear: I'm absolutely thrilled and looking forward to the next evening there!

A very quaint restaurant. Very friendly staff, and the service was quick and efficient. The interior is very original; its history as a former carpentry workshop is a recurring theme throughout the entire place. It's not exactly quiet when it's busy, but still within tolerable limits. The food was also delicious and very reasonably priced (especially for Bad Homburg). Only the fried potatoes could have been a little better. I'll still gladly come back.

We were just at the Schreinerei for a quick glass of cider. Unfortunately, the kitchen was already closed (after 10 p.m.), otherwise we would have had a bite to eat. We were absolutely thrilled by the harmonious ambiance; very rustic and cozy. We'll definitely be back to enjoy the food.

The old carpentry shop in its old, former building, with its pretty, old facade, the old utensils on the walls, workbenches as tables, and above all: great food! Anyone who comes here immediately feels at home. The menu offers a variety of options without being overwhelming. And while you wait for your food, you can let your eyes wander and admire the tools on the walls. They and the rooms could certainly tell stories. If you're in Bad Homburg, leave all the fancy stuff behind and turn onto Audenstraße, but be careful not to walk past the carpentry shop. And then it's time for delicious green sauce, fried potatoes, a delicious schnitzel, or a carpentry burger; alternatively, handkäs' (traditional cheese) or Mett (meat and bread). Anyone who's been here once will surely be happy to come back.

Super delicious food at reasonable prices. Everything here tastes good. I recommend the salad with strips of beef, the Cordon Bleu, the Strammer Max, etc. Prepare to be surprised. Please make a reservation in advance, otherwise it will be difficult.

I have Frankfurt style, was parsley with egg white sauce, $18.99 was really really big portion.

The food was very good; everything was perfect. I had a Frankfurter schnitzel with fried potatoes and green sauce. It also came with a side salad. Everything was delicious 😋. The service was also very good. The ambiance was also very nice 👍.

Authentic German dining experience

If like us you love German food, you must not miss this excellent resturant in Bad Homberg. The resturant oozes character full of old historic carpentry equipment. The service was very friendly and efficient and they offered an English menu. Fantastic quality food which took me back to the German resturants of the 50's & 60's, which is near impossible to find these days. Don't miss this resturant!

A very nice restaurant with a very original decor, creating a cozy atmosphere. The tables are made of old workbenches, and various carpentry tools hang on the walls everywhere. You don't know where to look first. The staff is very friendly and offers good service. The food is very tasty and plentiful. The consistency of the sauce for my steak was too thick for me personally, although the flavor was good. I can recommend it without hesitation; it won't be our last visit.

A good restaurant with German cuisine, located in the city center within walking distance of the castle and the main attractions. Over time, the prices have become high and the portions smaller. For example, they no longer serve salad with the main course. But otherwise, the interior is always authentic and the beer is fresh. There is an underground parking lot a few minutes' walk away under the Maritim Hotel.

Yesterday, I went to the Schreinerei with two friends for the first time in a long time, and it was simply fantastic! The service was simply perfect, and the food was excellent. We didn't have to wait more than 20 minutes for our food. It was quite relaxed there last night. We've seen it differently, and the service was always great. We'd love to come back.

Today we ate at the Schreinerei again after about a year. Why? Because we were really impressed with the quality of the food the last few times. I ordered a Jägerschnitzel (I've ordered it several times before) and my wife had the burger. With the schnitzel, I thought it was deep-fried and it was dry. And the sauce was very creamy and without much flavor. My wife's burger was a frozen patty, and the bun was also a cheap wholesale product. But with the burger, I can understand that because for €8.50, you can't expect more. Why am I writing this review? (This is the second Google review in my life) I got diarrhea, and it was not without its problems. Either the fat in the fryer was old or the cream sauce was rancid? I don't know the reasons for this drastically negative development, but we will definitely never return to this old, and until not so long ago, great, traditional restaurant.

Great food! Service flop! I visited here again today during my visit to Bad Homburg. The restaurant is really beautiful and has a great atmosphere. We received a very friendly welcome, but that was about it in terms of service. Waiting over an hour for the food is borderline. I have worked in the hotel and catering industry for over 33 years myself. I have a lot of understanding, but at some point it's enough to keep apologizing and tolerating everything. We were skillfully ignored by the service for a good hour. Surely a quick bit of feedback in between would be enough to satisfy the guest. Or something completely crazy, like asking for a second drink?! It wasn't just us who felt the same way, but the other two tables sitting inside too. The food was once again delicious and of good quality. There is absolutely nothing to complain about here. It's a shame, but ignoring empty glasses for a good 45 minutes, even though we were sitting right next to the cash register (which is where orders were constantly being taken), is unacceptable in my opinion. If you want delicious food, you're in good hands here. But you can't expect more than that. It's a shame!

We were passing through and decided to stop by the carpenter's shop. We reserved a table and were not disappointed. First, we ordered a bread and butter to whet our appetite, which was very tasty. Later, we had a hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes and beer. Highly recommended. We felt very comfortable there and would go back if we were in the area.

Very tasty schnitzel, nice staff and great ambience. Unfortunately, the side salad with the schnitzel has to be ordered separately and doesn't taste like a classic side salad. The burger was very simple and didn't taste particularly good. It is also very loud when there is a lot going on.
