Absolutely cute restaurant that fills up quickly. It's best to reserve by phone in advance or come directly to the store. Great decoration, very rustic, good selection of food and also very tasty things. Service is super friendly and reliable and quick. A good address!

Very tasty green sauce eaten with fried potatoes. I've always liked the typical backyard atmosphere of cider bars. It was very pronounced here and we felt extremely comfortable. The cider was very tasty and wholesome and the service was friendly.

Top local. Food was OK. Cordon Bleu seemed to have been fried in the deep fryer and Cheddar cheese was also added, rather unusual. Fried potatoes tasty but almost cold. The mushroom sauce was the same, unfortunately cold. The green sauce was super tasty, really recommended. Service is pleasantly friendly and accommodating, it's nice when someone is really keen on their job. The ambience is great. We recommend.

Eine wunderschöne Lokation im Herzen von Bad Homburg. Allerdings ist es ratsam, rechtzeitig zu reservieren, da das Restaurant sehr beliebt ist. Die Auswahl der Speisekarte absolut ausreichend, jedes der Gerichte ist eine Empfehlung wert. Wir waren nun zum dritten Mal zu Gast und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sehr gerne wieder ... wir freuen uns schon !

Eating in a carpenter's shop, yes that is definitely possible here, lovingly furnished restaurant in Bad Homburg. As a husband you really have the feeling that you are sitting in a carpenter's shop. We received a very warm welcome and were given a place even though we hadn't reserved. The service is very friendly and very accommodating, we felt very good there. The food and drinks came very quickly and it tasted fantastic. Clear recommendation if anyone wants to eat and drink well, then they are in good hands here.

I really enjoyed my dinner w a glass of beer at this restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was very delicious. Inside was decorated with old tools and gives a cozy Getman feel to it. I got schnitzel with pepper sauce and it was fantastic 😋

It is an old carpenter's shop that has been converted into an inn, the food is very good and the service is perfect (Heike). There is also a small beer garden outside. The perfect place for a lovely stay.

The beer was fabulous, I had a single dish with grilled meat, potatoes cooked in a pan and onion. Very typical place as it was created from an old carpentry shop. If you pass through Bad Homburg you have to have dinner.

Visited for a dinner with my work colleagues. We had a good time and the food was good as well. We had different kinds (burgers, schnitzel) and everyone was happy. Service was great as well and the waiters spoke very good English (plus they have English menus).

Ich weiß nicht, was mit der Küche passiert ist, aber sie war einfach nur schlecht. Mein Mann und ich hatten das Hessen Schnitzel bestellt, also ein Schnitzel mit Zwiebeln und Handkäse überbacken. Dazu Pommes Frites. Das Schnitzel war kühl, die Zwiebeln kalt und es war kaum genießbar. Die Pommes waren zwar warm, nicht heiß, aber wenigstens warm, aber waren absolut geschmacksneutral. Wir waren früher öfter in der Schreinerei und immer zufrieden. Leider war das heute ein absoluter Reinfall. Betonen möchte ich, dass die Bedienung, der Service, äußerst nett und freundlich waren.

The Restaurant is very busy but with a small kitchen. Food was really good, noce atmosphere. But be prepared to wait for quite some time to get your food. Reserving before hand is recommended.

Wonderful food in a unique setting! Dined here on our first night in Bad Homburg and can’t imagine a better German meal. The schnitzel “Hessen style” was delicious- the sauce made with Handkase isn’t to be missed.

War hier jetzt schon ein paar Mal. Tolle Atmosphäre, pfiffige Bedienungen, deftiges Essen. Gute Schnitzel! Gefällt mit hier sehr! Auch im Sommer mit den Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, sehr gemütlich schöne Ambiente, mal was anderes mit der Schreinerei Ausstattung. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich,kommen und fragen ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Essen ist lecker, ich finde es könnte aber mehr Vegetarisches geben. Die Preise sind auch in Ordnung.

Urig, gemütlich, freundlich, lekker

Die Räumlichkeit ist groß, aber die Tische stehen viel zu dich aneinander es ist mega laut und eine normale Unterhaltung kaum möglich. Das Essen ging so hab schon besser gegessen. Das Schnitzel ist wohl frisch alles andere nur Fertigprodukt ohne Gewürz und Geschmackt. Die Frankfurter Grünesosse kommt aus dem Eimer ist mit Mayonnaise und zuviel Essig angereichert, Geschmack der Kräuter nicht wahrnehmbar. Hat mit einer Frankfurter Grünensosse nix zu tun ist eher eine Beleidigung für uns Frankfurter. Die Bratkartoffeln sind aus fertigen Pellkartoffeln ohne Zwiebeln und Gewürzen und die braune Sosse war ein Fertigprodukt mit etwas Sahne verfeinert was sie noch ungenießbarer gemacht hat. Fazit:"mehr Schein, als Sein!"

Die Bedienung war nett und bemüht. Die Küche kommt bei vollem Haus nicht hinterher.

Sehr unkompliziert, das Essen ist schneller auf dem Tisch als man den Vorspeisen Salat essen kann und vom Ambiente her unschlagbar.

Super schönes Ambiente, aufgebaut wie der Name schon sagt, auf das Schreinerhandwerk, mit vielen Arbeitsgeräten aus der guten alten Zeit.

Eine wunderbare ruhige Oase im hektischen Wochenend-Bad Homburg, aufmerksamer Service, gute Speisen, entspannte Atmosphäre im Innenhof, der Abstecher in die Seitenstraße lohnt sich!

What a gem in Bad Homburg. we were here during the white asparagus season in June Schnitzel with Asparagus and local beer . If you only have one night in Bad Homburg and are looking for traditional german food, make sure to come here.

Great place, great service and awesome food! Try the vienna pork scalope or the rump stake with herb butter. Delicious!

We had a table booked for 530pm on a Fri evening, was our first time there and was so surprised with the interior furniture ' left over from 1920 when the place used to be a carpenter/joiners workshop with over two thousand tools lining the walls and ceiling. We had excellent service, we started off with draft beers to go with a couple of Schnitzels with side salads and a Hamburger with fries etc - good sized portions and very tasty! We stayed for another few rounds of local draft beer and to finish off a Schnapps. By about 8pm the place filled up mainly with the younger generation - the place does have an attraction. Service was busy and professional always friendly but never ' stressed out '. Check their website it's also in English. If you're there early enough you should be able to find a parking space on the left opposite the restaurant. Now that we've been there it's not a ' hidden gem ' for us anymore.
