Quiet and cozy. The draft country beer is a dream. Very tasty burgers. A tip: order the small side salad with it. Today we went to the beer garden and once again we really enjoyed it.

The delivery service is the worst there is, we have a delivery time of 80 minutes according to the invoice. Called after the time and it was only prepared, worst loading in that regard, it was simply delivered to us again after 26 minutes

You have to wait far too long for food! THIS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL

I was looking forward to a relaxing evening with a good burger, but unfortunately my visit was rather disappointing. Service & waiting time The biggest drawback was definitely the waiting time. The first drink took almost 30 minutes to reach our table. The meal itself took a full 70 minutes - even though the restaurant is not particularly large. The staff didn't seem particularly trying. Eat The burger tasted good, but nothing extraordinary. Freshly prepared, but without the “wow factor”. The fries were also solid, but nothing that would keep me coming back. Value for money Here's the biggest point of criticism: In my opinion, a burger with fries and two large drinks for €42 is simply overpriced - especially when you consider that you have to wait so long for the food and the service isn't really convincing. Conclusion If you have a lot of patience and are willing to pay an above-average price for an average burger, you might want to give it a try. For me personally, however, it was not an experience that I would want to repeat.

We waited there for 1.5 hours for the food. After that we only had 20 minutes to eat and then we were thrown out. Never again

The restaurant is great and the food tastes really great. My visits have always been very pleasant, but there is one small point of criticism: If the restaurant is full, you have to wait a long time for the food. Combined with the 2-hour table reservation, this can be quite stressful. On my last visit I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes for my food, which is clearly too long.

We reserved a table from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m We ordered at 6:15 p.m. and the food arrived at 7:35 p.m. and since we were only allowed to be there until 8 p.m., my meal was already billed. There were 15 of us, all of whom had burgers and 5 of them were delivered incorrectly, but since we had to eat them quickly in 20 minutes, we (I) ate them anyway. The beef on my burger was supposed to be medium rare but it was completely done and that wasn't an isolated case. Not recommended for larger groups as you can only reserve for 2 hours and they don't seem to do a good job of scheduling when you get your food (dessert or a nightcap were not possible at all).

We were here again yesterday and were thrilled! The burgers are of the best quality, the meat is grilled to perfection and the ingredients are fresh. The fries were also nice and crispy. The service was top – very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is comfortably furnished so that you immediately feel at home. We are already looking forward to the next visit!

We went there spontaneously on a Friday evening without a reservation, and luckily we got a spot. The food was good, but in my opinion the walk from the kitchen to the table took a little too long. The cubes on the tables are quite ok. For me it takes some getting used to the fact that the service only appears at the push of a button. When the table next door is being cleared away, I'm used to paying attention to empty glasses. Well, I just press the cube more. Price performance was good.

Unfortunately I have to revise my review a bit: During our last visit, the “tip” option was digitally displayed to us while paying by card. I personally found this to be intrusive and rude, as the staff actively asks you to determine the amount of the tip. Don’t get me wrong – we happily and generously tip, but freely and usually in cash. For me, tipping is a personal gesture that appreciates the service and commitment of the team. However, I find this digital request to be inappropriate and misappropriated. Apart from that, the restaurant remains a great place: a cozy, stylish interior, thoughtful service and incredibly tasty burgers. Despite the small point of criticism, I can recommend it without reservation. 4/5 stars due to the tipping gel option.

Well, the meal took an hour... For a few burgers. We had reserved a table at 6 p.m. and it was supposed to be reserved again at 8 p.m. for the next ones. So our food came at 7 p.m., only lukewarm. At 8 p.m. we were actually asked to leave the table for the next guests. Other tables were free. It was the only time we ate there.

Cozy. Delicious burgers and fries. Food was good. But I thought it was quite expensive. Overall, the quality was quite good and therefore probably appropriate.

We waited almost 90 minutes for our food - despite repeated requests and requests, it took an incredibly long time - it's kind of a shame. Nevertheless, the food was solid and tasted relatively good (but after 90 minutes of hunger, a lot of things probably taste good...)

The food was very good, although it took an hour for two burgers plus a side dish on a Tuesday evening. That was too long for my taste. The service staff were very friendly. The ambience was appealing, but the surfaces could be dusted more often, which is emphasized by the indirect lighting. But that doesn't make the good food and service any worse.

We always enjoyed coming to the Weird Bird. However, on our last visit it wasn't quite as ideal, the fries were extremely salty and the burger buns were hard and crispy. The staff's only reaction was: "Well, I'd better not try the fries." Not even an apology or a "I'll pass it on"... It's a shame, it used to be much better.

Very tasty burgers, meat could be seasoned better. Otherwise very nice, the lighting was quite dark and there was no changing table. The service was very nice and provided me with two chairs for changing.

To charge 56€ for 2 citizens plus fries and 1 drink each and then to be rude when there is no tip is very bold! Then rather MCs!

Cozy and nice. The burgers might be a little tricky to put together, but doable. Definitely very tasty. Service is nice and friendly. The order is served in a reasonable time. Nice idea with the light cube for ordering and paying.

Before we went to the theater, we stopped at Schraeger Vogel to have something to eat and drink before the event. The burgers here are really exotic and in the open kitchen you can also watch them being prepared. Great service, great burgers and delicious beer... nothing more is possible!

We visited the strange bird with a group of 15 people. We thought we had made a reservation for 8 p.m., arrived almost ten minutes late and yet our table wasn't ready yet. But then there was a reservation sign on the table for 7:45 p.m. Which doesn't make things any better. The service continued as it began. You had to wait what felt like an eternity with each order until it was taken. Various service staff kept walking past us and then skillfully ignored us. We then have partial p. P. ordered two drinks straight away. When eating, the journey was probably a little longer (sarcasm off), so the French fries at the table were only lukewarm. The burgers were very tasty, but already cooled down. All in all, the service needs to work on its organization/speed.

As always, the food was very tasty and still very warm, unfortunately the delivery was 20 minutes late and we were on hold at the service number for 8 minutes. You should improve the delivery service a little, then you would like to get more stars here.

Price/performance is not right. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and the food is delicious. But for a burger that is in the middle price segment to charge €20 without any side dishes is quite steep. With fries and 1 drink you pay €30-35 for your burger with side dishes. And it's just not that good that it would somehow justify this price.

Basically very tasty. Unfortunately, both my partner and I developed mild diarrhea afterwards. Very unfortunate. Otherwise we really liked it.

Voucher was not accepted because it “expired”. Even if it is legally possible, I think it is an absurdity not to accept the voucher, after all they have received the money. It was definitely the last time for me in the store. Food is also just mediocre.

The best burgers around! We enjoy eating here regularly! The only important thing is that you make a reservation, as it is actually always full! That's also the only tiny disadvantage: the Weird Bird is quite small and therefore it is often very loud. But that doesn't affect the taste 😜

Good, simple burgers, but very poor service. Unfriendly, unprofessionalism in person and zero flexibility. Furnishings - especially chairs and benches are outrageous. All the faux leather has come off on all the chairs and leaves residue on clothing. Unfortunately, there is more appearance than reality here...

Burgers were great. Staff on March 27th very unfriendly and unprofessional, after about 20 visits we were really shocked by this. Chairs and benches are unfortunately worn and far beyond the term vintage.

We've actually been regulars at this store for years. Unfortunately, on the last two visits the service has become really strange and very unfriendly... It almost seemed like you were unwanted. The burger itself is always solid, but recently even this one was served almost cold (perhaps an isolated case, otherwise it's always ok). The ambience itself is cool, but the chairs and furnishings have really seen better days. Unfortunately, we will probably take a break at the Schrägen Vogel first and try out other places...

Burger enjoyment with a test of patience – a visit to the Schrägen Vogel If you appreciate the culinary delights of a truly excellent burger, you can't ignore the “Schrägen Vogel” in Detmold. The quality of the food speaks volumes: juicy patties, fresh ingredients and a creative combination that turn every bite into a small feast. But good food alone does not make a perfect restaurant visit. The two hour wait was a real test of patience and spoiled the overall experience. Apparently service was overwhelmed that day, resulting in repeated order corrections and forgetfulness. Such service issues can spoil one's appetite, even if the food itself is top-notch. Overall, the “Schräge Vogel” offers cuisine that you have to experience – provided you have enough time and patience. Better organization and more attentive service could take this place from good to great.

On Friday evening we dined with 6 people at the “Schraeger Vogel”. I chose the “Lipper” burger with a vegetarian sweet potato patty. For dessert there was a brownie with vanilla ice cream. Everything was very tasty. The appealing ambience and the friendly, competent service rounded off the evening. We'd love to come back!

The burgers were nothing special. We had to wait almost an hour for our main course, even though there wasn't much going on. In addition, the patties were served medium rare instead of well done - contrary to what was ordered. So the burger had to be put back in the kitchen for my pregnant wife. Another five to ten minute wait and the fries were cold. We are certain that we will not be entering this store again!

Everything harmonious and very tasty burgers!

Overall the food was very tasty but the burgers are super small! Normally I only order one burger without any side dish, otherwise it would be too much for me and I wouldn't be able to eat one of the two. So here I just ordered the burger without any side dish and I wasn't even full!! But for a burger that costs around €14, I expect that! Of course you can also get a cheaper burger but even for an 11€ burger I expect to be full of it.

Unfortunately, we expected a little too much, the burgers were ok. There was hardly any sauce on it and so it was quite dry. The garlic mayo was disappointing, barely tasted of garlic and seemed quite diluted. Far too little goat cheese on the burger, barely tasted. More buns than toppings. Service was great 🙌🏻

We spontaneously decided on burgers 🍔 and were not disappointed. It seems to be a little quieter on Sunday evenings, otherwise you should probably make a reservation. Burgers and fries were very tasty. The side salad also made a very fresh impression. Next time we visit Detmold we will come back to the strange bird 🐦.

Food was completely cold even though we had pre-ordered. Petty wasn't well done either, as ordered. It's a shame, we had hoped for so much!

Customer threatens to order! At 10:25 p.m., sheer horror was triggered by the service after the theater visit with the desire for a beer, let alone food! By the way, we weren't the only guests who left... what a shame!

Kein Service, obwohl einige Plätze noch bis sieben Uhr frei waren, bestand keine Bereitschaft uns als Gäste zu bedienen, dann geht man halt in das Brauhaus, dort ist es noch voller jedoch ist man hier bemüht und als Gast eingeladen zu essen und zu trinken.

Sehr gutes Essen werden hier öfters hingehen. Ist nur etwas weit für uns. Aber da wir öfters hier vorbeikommen werden wir es nutzen

Am 26.11.23 habe ich online einen Tisch für Samstag, 22.12.23 für 3 Personen gebucht. Um 17:55 Uhr teilte man mir dann vor mit, dass die Reservierung storniert worden wäre. In meinem Emails habe ich dann die Stornierungsbestätigung von 17:36 Uhr gefunden. Und natürlich hatte man keine Erklärung dafür wie das passiert sein konnte... Fazit: Dieser Laden sieht uns 3 garantiert nicht wieder.

Wir waren hier mit einigen Kollegen zum Essen. Der Empfang ist Coronabedingt wie überall.. Prüfen ob Geimpft..getestet... Die Bedienung ist freundlich und aufmerksam und fragt auch öfter nach damit man nicht Gefahr läuft trocken zulaufen...( Getränke) Am Tisch werden die Bestellungen schnell aufgenommen..Sonderwünsche machbar.. Das Essen wurde schön angerichtet... kein Plastik.. die Soßen in kleinen Glasschalen serviert.. Die Burger sind kross...der Burger war sehr Schmackhaft und Würzig.. Gerne einmal wieder..👍

Für meinen Geschmack ist es in den Räumlichkeiten etwas zu dunkel. Der Service ist freundlich und die Burger, aber auch andere Gerichte schmecken jedes Ma(h)l hervorragend! Ich komme gerne immer wieder her ☺️👌🏼

Sehr schönes Ambiente, Essen sehr empfehlenswert; beim Service hätte ich auch gerne 5 Sterne gegeben, wenn man zwischendurch die leeren Gläser abgeräumt hätte und der Espresso heiß (und nicht nur warm - stand einfach zu lange auf dem Tresen) gewesen wäre. Ansonsten ist das Personal nett & höflich. Aber unter dem Strich alles gut und komme gerne wieder. Das Lokal kann man gut weiterempfehlen. 👍

Lecker, gute Auswahl, nicht 08/15. Wir kommen nicht oft aber fragen uns jedesmal warum. Die Burger sind auf den Punkt, Pommes nicht Standard. Getränkeauswahl top. Alle immer nett und zuvorkommend.

Das Essen war sehr gut auch wenn Ich bock auf nen Doppeldecker hatte und nach schlechtem Gefühl nur einen normalen gegessen hatte. Essen tippi Toppi. Hätte Ich Schreds meinen alten Freund getroffen wäre es um´einiges schöner geworden bin ein riesen Fan von meine Küche deine Küche. Nächste mal wird er bestimmt da sein. Liebe Grüße

Tolle Burger und schöne Atmosphäre. Ich würde gerne 5 Sterne geben, aber dafür müsste das Essen eine konstante gute Qualität aufweisen. Leider sind die Burger ab und zu einen Ticken schlechter, aber dennoch sehr gut!

Es gibt eine eher kleine Auswahl an Burgern. Die Burger sind lecker, aber nicht besonders. Die Portion an Zwiebelringen fällt eher klein aus für den hohen Preis. Das Ambiente ist schön und die Bedienung war auch gut. Mehr als ein Mal würden wir da jedoch nicht hingehen.

Wir war dort zum ersten mal mit der Familie.Ein sehr interesantes System zum heran holen der Bedienung. Die Bedienung wird mit einen drucken auf einen Würfel, der auf de Tischen steht gerufen. Hat hervorragend geklappt. Essen (Burger)war auch top

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert! Der schräge Vogel bietet eine wirklich gute Auswahl an Burgern mit einigen Optionen, den Burger je nach Präferenz selbst zusammen zu stellen (z.B. Art des Brötchens, des Burgerpattys etc.). Dabei ist jeder Burger geschmacklich top und sehr hochwertig. Auch die anderen Gerichte, wie beispielsweise die Chicken Wings, sind definitiv eine Empfehlung wert. Preislich zwar schon etwas gehobener, der gute Geschmack und die Qualität des Essens rechtfertigt den Preis aber. Aufgrund der Lage im Herzen Detmolds und den wirklich guten Burgern ist es immer wieder einen Besuch wert :)

Sehr, sehr gutes Essen, tolle Atmosphäre, sehr natürlich freundlicher Service. Wir waren da, als Sven Plöger seinen Vortrag zum Klimawandel in der Stadthallte hielt und waren begeistert.

Das Essen war wirklich super lecker und das Personal war auch total nett, besonders die zwei Jungs hinter der Theke. Allerdings mussten wir ziemlich lange (1 1/2 Stunden) auf unser Essen warten, weil der Lieferservice priorisiert wurde. Trotzdem war es insgesamt eine positive Erfahrung! 🍔👍🏼

Einer meiner Liebling Lokale in der Nähe wenn es um gute Burger geht. Klasse Ambiente. Klasse Service und egal was man bestellt man wird nicht enttäuscht sein

Wir waren vor 2 Wochen zum ersten Mal dort und wir waren sehr beeindruckt! El Comandante war sehr lecker und saftig, die Zutaten haben super zueinander gepasst und wir haben zum ersten Mal Zwiebelringe, die auch geschmeckt haben, gegessen! Der Burger hat leider etwas auf sich warten lassen, daher der Sternabzug, aber das Warten hat sich gelohnt!

Dieses mal hat rundherum alles gepasst. Das Essen kam innerhalb 30 Minuten und war spitze, der Service war sehr freundlich.

Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort und uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, uns wurde gesagt das, das Personal unterbesetzt ist und es etwas länger dauern könnte, und trotzdem haben wir super schnell die Getränke und das Essen bekommen! Sehr nette Bedienung und super leckeres Essen! Alle waren zufrieden! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Mega Burger die nach eigenen Wünschen gestalten werden können und leckere Cocktails in einer stylischen Umgebung. Das geht immer.

Wir können die negativen Bewertungen nicht bestätigen. Wir waren samstags um 18 Uhr mit Reservierung dort. Der Service war nett und das Essen sehr lecker. Getränke kamen nach 5min, das Essen hatten wir nach ca 30min. Alles in allem ein schöner, erster Besuch! Wir kommen wieder.

Selten so etwas unfreundliches erlebt

Unfassbar leckeres Essen! Burger vom feinsten. Getränke sehr lecker. Ich hatte gestern den Chef Suprise mit Pfifferlingen drauf. Würde der in der Karte stehen, würde ich nur dafür immer wiederkommen. Wahrscheinlich der beste Burger, den ich je gegessen habe!

Das Essen war sehr lecker, der Service freundlich und schnell. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und nicht zu groß.

Freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Service, schönes gepflegtes Ambiente und sehr leckere Burger. Es kann aus verschiedenen Brötchen gewählt werden und bis auf einen Burger alle wahlweise mit Rind, Hähnchen oder Veggie. Sehr leckere Süßkartoffel Pommes und Nachos. Burger war saftig und lecker.

Interessante Karte, gute Kombinationen und am Ende ein leckerer Burger. Beim Service ist zumindest bei meinem Besuch noch Luft nach oben. Alles hat sehr lang gedauert und das wenige Personal wirkte überfordert, war aber sehr freundlich. Nach über einer Stunde Wartezeit kam das Essen. Es waren nicht alle Zutaten vorrätig, so dass einige Bestellungen komplett neu aufgegeben werden mussten und alles dadurch noch länger gedauert hat. Insgesamt nett, aber viel zu laut. Fazit: Wer viel Zeit und Geduld hat und kein Problem mit der Lautstärke hat, bekommt ein leckeres Essen, wenn auch zu einem sehr hohen Preis.

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Getränke nach 30min und mehrmaligem Nachfragen selber von der Bar abgeholt. Das Essen kam leider nach über 90min immer noch nicht. Haben dann die (nicht günstigen) Getränke bezahlt und sind gegangen. Vielleicht sollte das Konzept auf Selbstbedienung umgestellt oder weniger Tische besetzt werden. Dann bleibt der Frust bei den Gästen auch aus...

Das Essen und Ambiente war sehr schön. Jedoch war das Serviceteam nicht gut abgestimmt. Da der Himmel schon dunkel war und eine Unwetter Warnung vorlag, haben wir gebeten uns direkt drinnen hinsetzen zu dürfen. Das wurde abgelehnt, da sich alle Kunden draußen befinden und dort bedient werden. Wir haben dann zunächst draußen Platz genommen. Als das Donner begonnen hatte und andere Gäste schon in das Lokal gegangen sind, haben wir noch einmal nachgefragt. Einer der Servicemitarbeiter sagt es regnet gleich, ihr könnt rein aber fragt meinen Kollegen bitte. Der Kollege sagt:“ Der Chef hat gesagt solange draußen bleiben, wie es geht“. Alleine diese Aussage geht in meinen Augen gar nicht. Wie lange soll man warten, wenn es draußen donnert? Bis man als Gast nass ist?! Außerdem wurden die ganzen Utensilien auf den Tischen schon abgeräumt und vor den Regen in Sicherheit gebracht, während wir noch draußen saßen. Auf die Frage, wie wir ohne den Servicewürfel eine Bestellung aufgeben sollen, wurden wir gebeten, rein zu gehen (nur für die Bestellung, nicht zum Essen). Als wir dann nach einer Stunde unser Essen hatten, (Evtl. Personalmangel) kam es wie es kommen musste. Mitten beim Essen fing es an zu regnen und wir durften nun endlich einen Tisch IN den Räumlichkeiten besetzten. Doch hier war das Essen schon Nebensache! Als ich die Bedienung auf das Dilemma angesprochen habe kam ein: „ Ohh das ist natürlich blöd gelaufen.“ Ich war leider das erste und letzte mal in diesem Laden. Doch bei dem ganzen Gemeckere, das Essen war lecker und wir mussten nicht hungrig nach Hause gehen!!!

Service unter aller Sau! Nicht zu empfehlen! Nachdem wir über 1 1/2 h auf unser Essen gewartet haben, dieses nicht bekommen haben und ich unsere Getränke selber geholt habe würde ich lieber 0 oder negative Sterne vergeben. Ich wünsche dem Inhaber, dass er fähiges Personal findet und dieses wenigstens minimal schult, damit dieses nicht andauernd „leer“ läuft. Das Essen konnte ich leider nicht probieren. Hat uns echt den Abend vermiest.

Unheimlich gute Burger und Pommes. Auch die Cocktails sind Klasse. Ihr müsst den American Cheesecake probieren!
