Schnitzelschmiede am Schloss in Weißenfels

We spontaneously showed up for lunch. A very nice service person welcomed us. The menu offered us a very good and extensive selection. Drinks and food came very quickly and were excellent. Can really recommend. We'll be back... THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for the good food. You are always welcome here. A little pearl in Weißenfels. The food is tasty and home cooking. Great service. A star deduction for the meal, because the clarified butter should be replaced after a few schnitzels, otherwise there will be enough burnt breading on the schnitzel. Ambient deduction only in the toilets. A little more cleanliness is missing here. But that doesn't mean it's dirty either. Thank you for the experience in the Schnitzelschmiede at the castle in WSF

Small restaurant with a large selection of schnitzel dishes. Fast service (drinks, starters and main courses were there 40 minutes after arrival), friendly staff and extremely good prices. Definitely worth recommending! In addition, after the visit there is a 10% voucher for the next visit, which is valid for 3 months (the food will definitely be digested by then 😉). PS: Any food you don't make can easily be packed up and given away.

So I don't know how to say it without cursing wildly: as 1. The food was very tasty. That is certain. BUT: We had reservations for 15 people, another person and I came last. So people 14 and 15. The problem was that there was no more room for us and we were then put at a table (that still had to be brought) in the corner and couldn't be part of the group because they had their backs sat with us. Something like that doesn't work at all. Either I have room for the person or I don't. I ate and paid and won't go there anymore...

As always, it was great and super tasty. It is a regular stop when we travel through the region. We regret that over the years we have found that the portions simply do not get smaller and so we have to wait until half portions are offered in order to be able to enjoy the delicious desserts 😉

The food tasted good, the chef was a little afraid of the salt, but you could add seasoning at the table. Such a small cozy restaurant. The service was friendly and the food came very quickly despite the restaurant being full. Would come again.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at this schnitzel restaurant, which far exceeded our expectations. The food was simply fantastic! I would particularly like to highlight the Schnitzel Au Four and the Schnitzel Braumeister Art, which were really bombastic. It was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The portion was generous and was served with a delicious side of fries. The service was also top, friendly and attentive. Overall, a wonderful lunch.

So I can't complain. Prices are ok and tastes great too. But opening hours take some getting used to.

Food tastes very good and you don't have to wait forever for it. My favorite is the Mexican 300g schnitzel with fried potatoes.

Staff friendly and accommodating. Restaurant very clean. There are deductions when eating, the vegetables are frozen and have only been thawed. The schnitzel and sweet potato fries were good.

We discovered the Schnitzelschmiede by chance. From the outside it looked almost closed; upstairs surprised and then a very rustic and cozy and lovingly decorated dining room. The selection of schnitzels and side dishes is very large. The schnitzel on the plate is also big - and extremely tasty. The service is attentive, courteous and on point.

We were here again yesterday and felt very comfortable! The food was, as usual, very tasty! Everything went very quickly from ordering to eating 👍🏼 perfect with a toddler!! Always happy! Highly recommended!!

A very rustic restaurant. Small but nice. Worth a visit if you like schnitzel.

So honestly, the service was so-so... At first they ignored us in the guest room and continued to have private conversations. The food was quite okay. Until we stood at the counter to pay... Then a dog barked from the kitchen... then it was over for us and a very uncomfortable feeling set in in our stomach area. Honestly, dogs have absolutely no place in the kitchen, you'll never see us again.

Four of us ate here and everyone had a different dish and everyone loved it. Portions are more than sufficient and well prepared and the price is completely reasonable. The waiters were nice, but also had slight deficiencies in the hospitality. You just need a little bit of professional experience and then it will work. The restaurant needs a little upgrade here and there. Tables and chairs outside are already old. The surroundings could also use some craftsmanship.

Great schnitzel menu and although we didn't eat any schnitzel but only fried potatoes and tuna salad, we were very satisfied and happy, the portions were very large and very tasty (I make the fried potatoes exactly the same way) so I felt at home, full marks, it's all ok!!!!

The food is great and more than enough to fill you up. The external appearance is a bit special, but the interior is very comfortable and invites you to linger. Only the narrowness seems a bit oppressive and restricts staff and guests in one place or another. However, ensure friendly acquaintances with the neighboring tables. We'll definitely be happy to come back to enjoy another hearty dish.

So whenever we have an appetite for schnitzel, we go to the Schnitzelschmiede in Weißenfels.

We were able to sit outside under large umbrellas and a super nice waitress arrived shortly afterwards with the cards. Wow what a selection! The decision is really difficult!!! The homemade lemonade was also delicious! Freshly prepared and without a long waiting time, a mega "Hungarian" schnitzel and delicious fries (all side dishes can be freely chosen for each dish) That was so delicious 😋!!! Looking forward to the next visit when we are nearby!

We went to Weißenfels by bike today and stopped here. It is a very cozy and clocky location. The staff is super friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. There is a large selection of dishes and great homemade lemonade. I can only recommend the Schnitzelschmiede. Prices are reasonable.

Order was taken very quickly and food came to the table within 15 minutes. Temperature of the drinks and room temperature was too warm.

We tried to make a reservation by phone (on the way here from Müritz), but no one answered the phone. We then walked 1.4 km from the RV parking space into town only to be barked at. There was no mention of the outside tables or the take-away option. Service concept is zero. Hospitality looks different.

The quality of the food is great. Portions are a bit too big and a bit too expensive. Potato wedges and sour cream were all extra on the bill.

Very nice schnitzel restaurant in Weißenfels. We sat outside with a small child and felt very comfortable. Children's chair and changing facilities available, toilets are clean. The menu has enough choice (there are also typical children's dishes) and the service is very friendly. The food itself was delicious and portions were huge (you can have it packed). The only small negative point is that the food and the sauces/vegetables are very poorly seasoned. At €20 per main course, we simply expect more “oomph” in the food. but we'll be back :)

Food: plenty of choices if you like schnitzel. 10/10 Service: we had to wait a bit before the waitress took our order for drinks and food. This was because there was a larger group which just arrived before us. Still acceptable. 8/10 Parking: across the street, free parking was available 10/10 We visited already a couple of times before and definitely will come back!
