We went there to eat an authentic Wiener Schnitzel. The restaurant looks unassuming from the outside, but the interior is very modern, chic, and well-maintained. We received a very friendly welcome and service. The food was delicious, with a large schnitzel that was wafer-thin, just like in Austria. A definite recommendation!

Hey, So we went there with the intention of simply getting a good schnitzel with a good side dish and a strong sauce, basically the full schnitzel experience, which is what the name "Schnitzelhus" should indicate. But unfortunately we were disappointed. At first we were a bit confused by the concept, Schnitzelhus = fine dining? The shop is very elegantly furnished but also more appearance than reality. The first thing I notice is the tablecloth, which suggests that the plate is tipping when cutting😅 Then the prices were set way too high again... for a 0.33 cola bottle and a glass without ice cubes it doesn't have to be 4.50. The schnitzel prices including side dish, okay 17.90 for pork. But when we had to pay an extra 1.50 for the breading, we thought it was cheeky. Conclusion about the food: Fried potatoes, very tasty, unfortunately very little Schnitzel, delicious, unfortunately very little Hunter Sauce, A ready-made gravy containing perhaps a fresh mushroom. There was a complete lack of taste. Conclusion: For the price of 51.80 for two schnitzels, two side dishes and two drinks, we went home disappointed and hungry. With that in mind, have a nice rest of the weekend 😅

Food was okay, but too expensive for what it ended up being. Far too little. The schnitzel is delicious but if you want the schnitzel breaded it costs 1.50 extra. The mushroom sauce tastes like a fix bag from Maggi. We go home hungry.

Holla, it was our first time here at the Schnitzelhus and we were surprised by the range of different types of schnitzel on offer. Our food was simply great. The potato salad is tasty and otherwise you can only say: If you want schnitzel, then here in the Schnitzelhus...the price and performance are right here. Just try it out.

Really cool! Appearances are deceptive, you can eat very good schnitzel here in a nice atmosphere. I can especially recommend the original Wiener Schnitzel.

We were very lucky to get a table here on Easter Sunday. We had an excellent meal. The food was of very, very good quality and prepared with a lot of love. Everything was freshly prepared and therefore tasty. In addition, the atmosphere is very inviting and the restaurant operators are particularly accommodating and friendly. Everything was great!!!

We can't say anything other than super, very nice, small there but that's a good thing and they are attentive, nice and polite. And they always ask if everything was okay and whether it tasted good, and yes, what can I say, I'm a very critical person when it comes to food, I learned the job myself and if I don't like something and someone asks me then I'll say so too, but here everything was fine again. We were with the children and it wasn't a problem. We are satisfied and would like to come back.

There were four of us (with a reservation) for dinner. The service: very friendly, not too intrusive but always with the guests in mind. The schnitzels were good and tasty, as were the side dishes and the salad. The ambience looks stylish, although the chairs are a bit wobbly. Unfortunately, the wine glasses weren't really free of traces of the drinks, so I asked for a new glass, which wasn't really stain-free either. Personally I thought that was a shame, but otherwise everything else was fine.

As a spontaneous decision when we took a test drive at Teslar, we ended up at the Schnitzelhus. Quite inconspicuous from the outside, we were very surprised by the ambience inside. Unfortunately the music was a bit inappropriate, it was like being at a wedding. There is a very large selection of schnitzel variations and other meat dishes, such as vegetarian dishes. The food was simply amazing, we were very impressed. There's no need to say more. Thanks for the great food.

It's always worth dropping by for Turkish pork chop at an Austrian restaurant in Hamburg.

We had dinner with 5 people and overall we were all very satisfied. The portions were plentiful and the taste was good. But what we all didn't like was the really high beer prices. I literally drank the most expensive beer of my life. 0.4 l Carlsberg for €6.90 is simply massively overpriced.

The veal schnitzel was great! Croquettes and salad too! Cream sauce was very runny... it could be optimized and made creamier.

We went looking for good schnitzels in Hamburg and came across Schnitzelhus. Small, cozy restaurant with beautifully prepared tables. The service was very nice and accommodating. The dog was also allowed to come along. The salad at the beginning was well prepared and appetizing. The tomato soup, however, seemed like it was from Maggifix. The food didn't take too long to arrive. Large, thinly pounded schnitzel, choice between pork, veal or turkey. You could even choose the breading, as well as the sauces. All sauces tasted great. Lots of delicious side dishes, fries were crispy. I had a turkey schnitzel with cornflake breading and pepper sauce, which was 10/10 delicious. If we didn't live so far away, we would come back.

Schnitzel was more breading like meat, For the price & veal everyone was very disappointed the veal was thinner like a slice of ham really cheeky & outrageous.

Ordering here is very easy, the food arrives quickly, and it's delicious. The delivery people are friendly, and everyone speaks German well. When I received an incorrect order six months ago, I was quickly offered a good solution.

We spontaneously ended up here after our visit to Hamburg to have dinner. From the outside it looked like a small family restaurant, more rustic in nature, but inside we felt almost underdressed. A very nice atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was delicious, even less spicy for the little ones and the waiting time was bearable. I can highly recommend the prepared schnitzel. They are paper-thin and well-seasoned. For my husband, the schnitzel without breading was a bit too thin and therefore a bit dry. The prices are normal, which we didn't suspect at first given the elegant atmosphere. “Small but nice” really applies here. We didn't have a reservation, but it was pretty quiet (Friday evening outside of the holidays). We were able to drive in with the stroller in a relaxed manner and no one felt disturbed by it (of course that could be different if it was fuller). In summer it is definitely very nice with the outdoor terrace. We just really didn't want to test it in the middle of December in the evening with 2 small children. If we end up in the area again, we will definitely eat here again.

A nice restaurant with really excellent schnitzels. There was also a choice of fried potatoes or croquettes and both were very tasty.

So we won't be coming back. I don't understand the good reviews recently. The schnitzel and fried potatoes were quite good. But the sauces were like they came from a tetra pack. Don't use the truffle sauce as if you were chewing on small soft/thin wooden slices. The waiter's reaction was whether he should bring the sauce again, but also that they always make it like that. But a nasty surprise at the end was the toilet and the front kitchen area. These are in a bad condition, if we had seen this before eating we would have left.

The food was good, the service wasn't friendly, you used your first name without asking, very slow and very inflexible. The toilet takes some getting used to, right next to the kitchen and separated by a plastic curtain. In addition, the condition of the toilet is not good, it looks more like a construction site.

Food very poor for the price. Condition very lackluster. Salad side dish borderline... The toilet was catastrophic. Ate there on the way through... And then went somewhere else to eat...

So I've been driving past this restaurant for 20 years and now I've finally visited it! And no regrets! Very, very large selection of schnitzel, you can choose between turkey/pork/veal and everything was very tasty and brought to the plate with lots of love! Sweet restaurant with lovely service so you immediately felt at home! We will definitely visit more often now!

Ich weiß nicht, wieviel Kellner grundsätzlich an einem Abend in der Woche dort sind, an unserem Tag war es nur 1 Kellnerin, sehr freundlich, sicherlich auch sehr bemüht. Aber nach 40 Minuten hatten wir gerade einmal die Karten erhalten, obwohl das Restaurant nicht voll besucht war. Ein Paar neben uns hatte bereits aufgegessen, als ihre Getränke kamen und dann auch noch welche, die sie nicht bestellt hatten. Da in dieser ganzen Zeit nicht mal unser Getränkewunsch aufgenommen wurde, sind wir frustriert wieder gegangen. Sehr schade, wir hatten uns total darauf gefreut, da diese Art von Lokalen in Hamburg ja rar gesäht sind. Vielleicht versuchen wir es in ein paar Wochen nochmal, da die Kritiken ansonsten ja super sind!

Very tasty food, great value for money, you get a lot of your money here. The staff was very friendly.

I had three interactions with this restaurant, two of them in 2023 and one in 2024. The first time I was there and only wanted to eat a schnitzel briefly within the week, which I was denied on the grounds that everything was full - unfortunately they didn't managed to tell me this kindly. The next two times I ordered and had it delivered to me, but unfortunately the quality when it arrives at home is not particularly good, but I could already tell from the previous review that the quality on site should be significantly better than when it was delivered - it's a shame they are so unfriendly on site. The last order was in June 2024 because, despite my two bad experiences, I wanted to give the restaurant a third chance. And what can I say, my two previous impressions were topped again, but unfortunately in a negative sense. By the way, their "potato salad" is just potato slices with mustard, no herbs, no mayonnaise, JUST POTATOES AND MUSTARD... Well... Was my 3rd and last order

We came across Schnitzelhus by chance on a Friday, but we were pleasantly surprised. A large selection of schnitzel dishes with a wide variety of side dishes. The food was very tasty and the "small" schnitzel was quite big enough. If the next schnitzel evening comes up, we will definitely stop by again.

Just outside the center of Hamburg so that it is not unnecessarily busy. The restaurant has a warm, homely atmosphere. Had a delicious meal with a group. Sauce is served separately from the schnitzel, so the schnitzel remains crispy. Staff was very friendly. Highly recommended.

Service positive, had the original Wiener Schnitzel and a friend of mine had the Jägerschnitzel. My schnitzel was dry and very tough. The fries were served cold at the table. The hunter sauce for the hunter schnitzel was more of a sauce that is served with roast. It was the first and probably last visit, as the bill was quite high for such a weak meal

Schön viele Schnitzelvariationen. Schnitzel sind sehr lecker 👍🏻 könnten aber etwas mehr Gewicht haben. Getränkepreise sind auch leicht überzogen. Aber in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren heute da und waren begeistert, das Essen war sehr lecker lecker. Preislich ist es ganz in Ordnung für die Qualität die man bekommt. Der Service war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Einrichtung ist schön weihnachtlich eingerichtet passend zu den Feiertagen.

Kleine Portion meiner Meinung nach. (Schnitzel) Das Steak war unter aller Sau

Wir haben das Wiener Restaurant erstmalig ausprobiert, das Ambiente ist sehr eigen, es sieht alles ein wenig zusammengewürfelt aus. Die Bedienung serviert das Essen mit weißen Handschuhen, da kam die Frage auf, was damit noch alles angefasst wurde. Das Essen ist durchschnittlich, wir hatten das Wiener Kalbsschnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln und einmal mit Kroketten und Pilzsoße. Das Wiener Schnitzel war nicht wirklich gut ausgebacken (was ein Wiener Schnitzel halt ausmacht) für ein österreichisches Restaurant, und die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr fade vom Geschmack. Die Pilzsoße kam aus der Tüte, was ich bei einem Preis von ca. 27 € nicht erwartet hätte. Nüchtern betrachtet würden wir hier nicht noch einmal einkehren. Die Gerichte sind zu teuer für das, was man erhält.

Leider muss ich sagen sehr schlecht gewurden. Leider ist die Zwiebel Suppe eine reine Pampe gewesen und hat nix mit einer Zwiebel Suppe zu tun. Die sogenannten Tomaten Suppe ist einfach nur passierte Tomaten aufgewärmt. Leider sehr schlecht. Die Bratkartoffeln waren leider eine rein Zumutung die nie in ihren Leben eine Pfanne gesehen haben.

Hier gibt es sehr leckere Schnitzel. Wir hatten original Wiener und Putenschnitzel Hamburg sowie ein Putensteak vom Lavagrill. Sehr lecker, sehr zu empfehlen.

Dieses Konzept zieht. Schnitzel in allen Variationen und Toppings. Aber irgendwie fehlt mir was. Der letzte Schliff am Essen, minimal aufmerksamer er Service, ich kann es selbst nicht so genau fassen was es ist. Bisher denke ich nach ein paar Monaten daran, dass wir Mal wieder ins Schnitzelhaus gehen könnten statt das wir da Mal wieder unbedingt hingehen müssen. Trotzdem ist jeder Besuch lecker und schön.
