This is a great place for anyone who loves schnitzel. I visited the restaurant for the first time today while passing through. They offer a wide selection of schnitzel dishes, and everything is freshly prepared. Friendly and prompt service.

I was there for the first time yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. My food was really delicious and the variety of schnitzels on offer makes it worth a visit.

A must for schnitzel lovers. Everything is freshly made, not in a deep fryer, but cooked in a pan. Breaded with bread rolls from the bakery. The only note (not a criticism): Payment is only possible with debit card or cash.

Super delicious schnitzels!! We went there twice, and each time the food was delicious, delicious, delicious, and plentiful. Even the selection of schnitzels on the menu makes it difficult to choose. The schnitzels are very tender, and the breading is particularly crispy. The breadcrumbs are homemade, and you can taste it. The schnitzel varieties on offer are extremely varied and, to top it off, very, very tasty. We're not usually so generous with praise and enthusiasm, but in this case, the praise is more than deserved. We'll definitely be back. It's apparently an insider tip here in Bad Mergentheim, as the restaurant was apparently frequented exclusively by locals...and don't let the exterior of the Schnitzelhof fool you. Inside, it's cozy and lovingly decorated.

They serve schnitzel in all sorts of variations here. The food is good, the service probably/hopefully just had a bad day. You have a really beautiful place with your courtyard/beer garden, and you're not doing anything to it. Dare to change things up and improve the look, and you and your guests will definitely enjoy your place more.

First of all: the food here is always very good. The service, unfortunately, less so. Last time we asked to sit inside rather than in the beer garden, the first question was whether we had a reservation. No. Then: "You can sit inside, but it's dark because the lights aren't working." (It was 5:00 p.m.?) We said that wouldn't be a problem, as it was still light enough. They still looked at us dismissively. When we emphasized that if it was too much trouble, we would leave, we were allowed inside, where—would you believe it?—several tables were already occupied?! Others had "Reserved" signs on them. After they realized we weren't sure where to sit, they told us we could choose. All in all, we really didn't feel welcome, but the food and value for money were top-notch.

Waited 1.5 hours for food on a Saturday evening, the service was slow and unfortunately we couldn't understand them properly.

Large selection of different schnitzels. I had the Italian schnitzel and can highly recommend it. I'd be happy to go again.

Always delicious food and beer. Friendly service; you'll be treated the way you present yourself and behave. Suggestion for the owner: The garden restaurant should be swept, weeded, and kept clean.

The food was good, but the waitress must have been having a bad day. Unfriendliness really doesn't belong in service. We won't go back again.

The service was friendly and courteous; it made you feel at home. And as vacationers from beautiful North Rhine-Westphalia, we asked twice about the bill. A very nice beer garden in the courtyard and delicious food. The salad was generous with a very good honey mustard dressing. The schnitzel selection is perfect and crispy. The homemade lemonade was super delicious and fresh. A great alternative. We waited a maximum of 20-30 minutes for the schnitzels. Highly recommended!👍👏

Yesterday, three of us went to the Schnitzelhof. We had a reservation for the beer garden and got a seat on the wooden benches there, too. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. Unfortunately, there was one particularly negative experience. It was a waitress who was constantly complaining (including about her customers). The highlight was her throwing items that had been cleared from a table. Unfortunately, this experience greatly diminished the good impression we had with the food and drinks.

In the summer, there's a large beer garden. We sat in the beautifully decorated restaurant. The staff are very friendly. Even though we had only made a reservation for 6:30 p.m., we were able to stay at 5 p.m. without any problems. The schnitzels were amazing. Thin meat, crispy fried, and available in various variations. Two sizes are available: the regular size is two schnitzels, the small size is one schnitzel. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant.

Rustic, with a lot of charm. We had the schnitzel board for two. Good value for money, I particularly liked the raspberry lemonade among the drinks. We'll definitely come back.

Food was ok, you could eat it once and not again. The sauces were extra in a gravy boat, unfortunately cold and didn't taste like anything, they were rather mushy. Plate was dirty, after I asked for a new one, I got exactly the same one, just wiped clean. It was still greasy. So I had to ask twice for a clean plate. Prices are ok. Toilets were accessible. Schnitzel platter always with a classic schnitzel, others at the next table only got the specials. Schnitzel itself is rather small. Not enough fries for two people. Spaetzle bland and also small portion. The waitresses seemed stressed and rather unmotivated.

I recently had the great fortune of eating at this schnitzel restaurant and I just love it! The schnitzel was incredibly delicious - so tender that I can hardly put it into words. The breading in particular really blew me away; it was crispy, flavorful and perfectly fried – simply world class! It's been a long time since I've eaten such a delicious schnitzel. I'm already looking forward to my next visit and hope that I'll have such a great experience again. This restaurant is definitely an insider tip for all schnitzel lovers!

Every bite was a delight! I would particularly like to highlight the great service: the staff is incredibly friendly, attentive and makes you feel completely comfortable. Tolle Schnitzelauswahl. Das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis passt. Die Ambiente ist sehr gelungen, eine Mischung von neu und Alt für mich gelungen. Die Portionen sind groß aber nicht übertrieben. Man isst ja nicht jeden Tag Schnitzel. Bitte schaut , dass ihr auf die Qualität des Fleisches achtet. Dann könnt ihr auch die Preise höher machen. Aber nicht vergessen mann verdient auch an den Getränken. Wie gesagt, oder wie geschrieben, wenn ihr die Fleischqualität im Blick behaltet, habt ihr eine tolle Zukunft. The schnitzel was amazing, with Swabian potato salad

Unfortunately absolutely catastrophic!!!!!!!! I don't understand at all how you can make simple braised onions so salty. Maybe you shouldn't put half a kilo of this great ready-made powder on it from the M..... brand!!!!!! Simply inedible unfortunately. You should consider simply sautéing the onions with butter and seasoning them with a little salt and pepper. The salad I ordered was drenched in yogurt dressing. Unfortunately I have to say the frozen croquettes were the best of all.

We ate there on December 31, 2018, among others. Side dish of spaetzle €3.00, for a handful of spaetzle on the plate? Looking at other pictures here, I think we had a bad day on New Year's Eve? That's what we thought! But well, you should give everyone a second chance. Here, too, we were again disappointed with the portion size, so we said to ourselves "we won't eat here anymore!" However, shortly after December 31st, 2018 we were invited to go out for dinner! To my regret, to the Schnitzelhof. It was busy, long waiting times for drinks orders, food orders, staff a bit unfriendly. I don't want to say mushy, but close to it. Here too, the portions were relatively small! The next failure was a small internal company party, again in the Schnitzelhof. Well, everyone had heard better and were probably all disappointed! We absolutely cannot understand the great positive reviews. We tried three times and were bitterly disappointed three times. We prefer to eat here in our town, where I get good food for my money, friendly staff, and look forward to having children, as there is, among other things, an extra play area for children, both inside and outside (extra in the barn furnished!). Sorry Schnitzelhof Bad Mergentheim, unfortunately you MUST rate with one star, otherwise you wouldn't be able to give a rating, in our eyes this star absolutely doesn't belong to you. We know other schnitzel farms and we never fell on our faces there EDIT: We were invited to go out for dinner at the turn of the year 2024/2025, the information was at the Schnitzelhof. I myself wanted to stay at home after being offended three times myself, although I personally was invited twice, and here was a surprise that evening. Friendly staff, good and generous portions. Delicious food. I had a Mexican schnitzel with salsa, jalapenos and Camembert (€11.90) and sweet potato fries (€4.80). If you wish, you can also get just one schnitzel (normal portion is 2). Very nice staff. But it was very cold in the restaurant.

A very nice location with real potential. We ordered four different schnitzel variations which were delivered within a reasonable time and were also good. The sweet potato fries that weren't burnt were very good, the sauces were unfortunately only packets of goods but what really didn't work at all Croquettes that caused puddles of grease and completely burnt waffles that we ordered as dessert for the children. On the whole, the restaurant has absolute potential that is probably not being exploited at the moment.

It's a nice restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is excellent and the portion sizes are well chosen. When it comes to drinks, I highly recommend the homemade lemonades as they are delicious and do what they promise. All in all, a nice restaurant that I can warmly recommend to anyone who wants a good, delicious schnitzel.

Snack bar charm in a pub. Sweet potatoes were crispy delicious. Unfortunately the schnitzel tower was too salty. Large schnitzel selection. Cocktails...good drink selection. Price performance okay.

Quaint, yet cozy and attractively furnished restaurant. I would definitely recommend a table reservation, as all tables were occupied at lunch time on a Sunday. The waitresses are friendly and on the ball. The food was really very tasty and the portions were huge. Even the two small portions of Hawaii Schnitzel and Jägerschnitzel were still more than enough. The schnitzels are thin and crispy, just the way I like them. The side dishes of salads, we had a potato salad and a mixed salad, were easily enough for the three of us. The spaetzle wasn't homemade but was still ok and the sauce was definitely not one that had been made for hours, but was still tasty. The only point worth mentioning that bothered us a little was that it was still really cold in the rooms at 12 p.m. Maybe turn the heating on an hour earlier - then it would be more comfortable. All in all, a good place for lunch - both in terms of taste and price. But remember - you should reserve a table.

The menu and drink intake were very quick, but then we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks (2 light beers) even though there wasn't that much going on. The restaurant probably has so much turnover that it doesn't need to be customer friendly. There is an answering machine available at the telephone number provided which will inform you about opening times, so it is not possible to make a reservation by telephone. The opening times are stated on the website: Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. We arrived at 4pm but it turned out the crew was on a lunch break at that time and we were asked to wait an hour. The website might say that they don't serve hot food from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The lady informed us with the speed of a machine gun that they didn't have certain items on the menu, but none of us registered it. After all, they can write a note and add to the menu what you couldn't order at that moment. I wanted to order mushrooms but the lady replied angrily that she had told me there were no mushrooms. The drinks I ordered came quickly, but I had to wait half an hour for the salad. I waited another 20 minutes to eat the salad because only then did my husband receive his order (50 min. waiting time). The salad was delicious, but my husband's schnitzel was completely over salted. Wasted over two hours with mediocre results.

We ordered a table for four people on November 2nd, 2024 and got it. At 6:15 p.m. we waited 45 minutes and were not served. Others were served. Unfortunately no one cared about us. Then we left.

Meine Frau und ich wollten heute im Schnitzelhof MGH zu Abend essen und reservierten uns einen Tisch . Wir kamen pünktlich an und warteten brav an der Theke bis uns jemand ansprach,was auch nach 5 min. geschah.Uns wurde dann auch ein Tisch zugewiesen, nach weiteren 10min. kam dann auch die Servicekraft und brachte uns endlich die Speisekarte um auch schnell wieder zu verschwinden, denn sie nahm wieder ihren Platz an der Theke ein und wartete auf neue Gäste die sie est warten ließ um sie dann auffällig überschwenglich gute Launemäßig zu begrüßen. Dabei vergaß sie natürlich bei den anderen Gästen nach weiteren 20min.die Bestellungen aufzunehmen. (An unseren Nachbartisch das gleiche Szenario).Wir standen unabhängig voneinander gleichzeitig auf und verließen das Lokal.lch konnte mir beim verlassen aber keinen Kommentar verkneifen, ich sagte zur einer Servicekraft das das Personal ziemlich unprofessionell arbeitet, erntete aber nur ein gleichgültiges Schulterzucken.

The ambience is appealing, the tables could be a little larger. With 4 people it's easy to get in trouble. The waitresses were friendly and ran the whole time, but didn't keep up. So we had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks and almost an hour for our food. There was also a lack of interest in asking for more drinks. The food was good and very plentiful. We can highly recommend the Schnitzelturm.

Einfach nur sehr enttäuschend! Wir haben anderthalb Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Süßkartoffelpommes war komplett verbrannt (siehe Bild) und die Schnitzeln waren komplett versalzen. So schlecht waren wir noch nie essen!

I had dinner at the Schnitzelhof for a rehab meeting with loved ones. The food was extremely tasty, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. All in all it was a very nice evening at the Schnitzelhof.

Schnitzelhof .... you assume that there are schnitzels here that are better or at least as good as elsewhere where they don't specialize in schnitzels. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. Every other restaurant I know in the area does schnitzel better. All the schnitzels were either kept in the fat for far too long, kept warm for too long, or were heated several times in the fat. Almost dry inside and the breading was hard. The color is more of a burnt dark brown. The fries were "OK" but now any outdoor swimming pool can do that just as well. Conclusion about the food: The only good thing is the price, but even that doesn't make the food any better. The dining room was cold and in the back room you had the impression that some of the chairs were being stacked because you were changing or to prevent you from climbing into the oven... it definitely didn't seem very inviting overall. The staff tried hard but were probably a bit overwhelmed with the number of guests, asking three times and waiting 20 minutes until someone was available again was a bit too much. Nevertheless, they were quick at what they did... they just weren't enough. The operator should perhaps hire one more person here. I probably won't go there anymore and in the future I'll treat myself to schnitzels everywhere else where they can simply be made better without having to specialize.

A warm late summer day passing through Bad Mergentheim and I was in the mood for a schnitzel, and this one was delicious! Nice courtyard where you can sit with a large glass of drink. (Serving drinks colder would be nice.) There is a nice choice in portion size. Definitely recommended if you are in the area!!!

If you like delicious, crispy schnitzels in affordable, really large portions, the Schnitzel Hof is a great choice. We showed up on a sunny Sunday without a reservation and got a nice outdoor seat despite the house being full. The service was very courteous and friendly. The food . Mega tasty. We ordered a hunter schnitzel and a schnitzel tower. Each with fries. You are asked... Normal or small... If you are not a good eater, you should take the small portion. And even that is more than enough 😄. The prices are really absolutely right. You should note that the side dishes cost extra. But it's totally worth it. . 2 meals and 2 drinks 39 euros. And go home full. A visit to the Schnitzel Hof is definitely worth it. We recommend.
