We ate there on December 31, 2018, among others. Side dish of spaetzle €3.00, for a handful of spaetzle on the plate? Looking at other pictures here, I think we had a bad day on New Year's Eve? That's what we thought! But well, you should give everyone a second chance. Here, too, we were again disappointed with the portion size, so we said to ourselves "we won't eat here anymore!" However, shortly after December 31st, 2018 we were invited to go out for dinner! To my regret, to the Schnitzelhof. It was busy, long waiting times for drinks orders, food orders, staff a bit unfriendly. I don't want to say mushy, but close to it. Here too, the portions were relatively small! The next failure was a small internal company party, again in the Schnitzelhof. Well, everyone had heard better and were probably all disappointed! We absolutely cannot understand the great positive reviews. We tried three times and were bitterly disappointed three times. We prefer to eat here in our town, where I get good food for my money, friendly staff, and look forward to having children, as there is, among other things, an extra play area for children, both inside and outside (extra in the barn furnished!). Sorry Schnitzelhof Bad Mergentheim, unfortunately you MUST rate with one star, otherwise you wouldn't be able to give a rating, in our eyes this star absolutely doesn't belong to you. We know other schnitzel farms and we never fell on our faces there EDIT: We were invited to go out for dinner at the turn of the year 2024/2025, the information was at the Schnitzelhof. I myself wanted to stay at home after being offended three times myself, although I personally was invited twice, and here was a surprise that evening. Friendly staff, good and generous portions. Have you taken the negative reviews to heart?!? Well, let's wait and see!

Everything just fits there. The service, the food, the drinks. Always my pleasure.

Delicious food. I had a Mexican schnitzel with salsa, jalapenos and Camembert (€11.90) and sweet potato fries (€4.80). If you wish, you can also get just one schnitzel (normal portion is 2). Very nice staff. But it was very cold in the restaurant.

A very nice location with real potential. We ordered four different schnitzel variations which were delivered within a reasonable time and were also good. The sweet potato fries that weren't burnt were very good, the sauces were unfortunately only packets of goods but what really didn't work at all Croquettes that caused puddles of grease and completely burnt waffles that we ordered as dessert for the children. On the whole, the restaurant has absolute potential that is probably not being exploited at the moment.

It's a nice restaurant with very friendly staff. The food is excellent and the portion sizes are well chosen. When it comes to drinks, I highly recommend the homemade lemonades as they are delicious and do what they promise. All in all, a nice restaurant that I can warmly recommend to anyone who wants a good, delicious schnitzel.

Snack bar charm in a pub. Sweet potatoes were crispy delicious. Unfortunately the schnitzel tower was too salty. Large schnitzel selection. Cocktails...good drink selection. Price performance okay.

Food was very good. Very large portions. But you can easily order a smaller portion. Service was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back.

Wir mussten über 1h warten auf unser Essen!! Von einer Schnitzel-Arena habe ich viel mehr erwartet....Schnitzel wie vom Imbiss aus der Friteuse und verbrannte Pommes. Nette Bedienung...konnte das aber leider nicht retten....

Christmas party with 35 people. Great process, nice staff and food very tasty. Anyone who loves schnitzel will get their money's worth here.

Lovely Place. Friendly, quick service. Cozy and with love decorated each time. They have pretty big salads and the schnitzel are fresh and crisp every single time.

Quaint, yet cozy and attractively furnished restaurant. I would definitely recommend a table reservation, as all tables were occupied at lunch time on a Sunday. The waitresses are friendly and on the ball. The food was really very tasty and the portions were huge. Even the two small portions of Hawaii Schnitzel and Jägerschnitzel were still more than enough. The schnitzels are thin and crispy, just the way I like them. The side dishes of salads, we had a potato salad and a mixed salad, were easily enough for the three of us. The spaetzle wasn't homemade but was still ok and the sauce was definitely not one that had been made for hours, but was still tasty. The only point worth mentioning that bothered us a little was that it was still really cold in the rooms at 12 p.m. Maybe turn the heating on an hour earlier - then it would be more comfortable. All in all, a good place for lunch - both in terms of taste and price. But remember - you should reserve a table.

2 people without reservation. Get a table straight away. The menu and drink intake were very quick, but then we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks (2 light beers) even though there wasn't that much going on. Waited another 20 minutes for food (Texas and Jäger schnitzel). Food was absolutely ok! Parking was quite narrow.

The restaurant probably has so much turnover that it doesn't need to be customer friendly. There is an answering machine available at the telephone number provided which will inform you about opening times, so it is not possible to make a reservation by telephone. The opening times are stated on the website: Sunday from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. We arrived at 4pm but it turned out the crew was on a lunch break at that time and we were asked to wait an hour. The website might say that they don't serve hot food from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. The lady informed us with the speed of a machine gun that they didn't have certain items on the menu, but none of us registered it. After all, they can write a note and add to the menu what you couldn't order at that moment. I wanted to order mushrooms but the lady replied angrily that she had told me there were no mushrooms. The drinks I ordered came quickly, but I had to wait half an hour for the salad. I waited another 20 minutes to eat the salad because only then did my husband receive his order (50 min. waiting time). The salad was delicious, but my husband's schnitzel was completely over salted. Wasted over two hours with mediocre results.

We ordered a table for four people on November 2nd, 2024 and got it. At 6:15 p.m. we waited 45 minutes and were not served. Others were served. Unfortunately no one cared about us. Then we left.

Meine Frau und ich wollten heute im Schnitzelhof MGH zu Abend essen und reservierten uns einen Tisch . Wir kamen pünktlich an und warteten brav an der Theke bis uns jemand ansprach,was auch nach 5 min. geschah.Uns wurde dann auch ein Tisch zugewiesen, nach weiteren 10min. kam dann auch die Servicekraft und brachte uns endlich die Speisekarte um auch schnell wieder zu verschwinden, denn sie nahm wieder ihren Platz an der Theke ein und wartete auf neue Gäste die sie est warten ließ um sie dann auffällig überschwenglich gute Launemäßig zu begrüßen. Dabei vergaß sie natürlich bei den anderen Gästen nach weiteren 20min.die Bestellungen aufzunehmen. (An unseren Nachbartisch das gleiche Szenario).Wir standen unabhängig voneinander gleichzeitig auf und verließen das Lokal.lch konnte mir beim verlassen aber keinen Kommentar verkneifen, ich sagte zur einer Servicekraft das das Personal ziemlich unprofessionell arbeitet, erntete aber nur ein gleichgültiges Schulterzucken.

The ambience is appealing, the tables could be a little larger. With 4 people it's easy to get in trouble. The waitresses were friendly and ran the whole time, but didn't keep up. So we had to wait 15 minutes for our drinks and almost an hour for our food. There was also a lack of interest in asking for more drinks. The food was good and very plentiful. We can highly recommend the Schnitzelturm.

Einfach nur sehr enttäuschend! Wir haben anderthalb Stunden auf unser Essen gewartet. Die Süßkartoffelpommes war komplett verbrannt (siehe Bild) und die Schnitzeln waren komplett versalzen. So schlecht waren wir noch nie essen!

They turned off the phone and left the announcement playing with the opening hours. We then went there to see if it was open. There was a lot of activity in the store, the waitress at the reception just said they couldn't reserve or order anything now. Good service certainly works differently.

I had dinner at the Schnitzelhof for a rehab meeting with loved ones. The food was extremely tasty, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere was cozy. All in all it was a very nice evening at the Schnitzelhof.

Schnitzelhof .... you assume that there are schnitzels here that are better or at least as good as elsewhere where they don't specialize in schnitzels. Unfortunately it wasn't like that. Every other restaurant I know in the area does schnitzel better. All the schnitzels were either kept in the fat for far too long, kept warm for too long, or were heated several times in the fat. Almost dry inside and the breading was hard. The color is more of a burnt dark brown. The fries were "OK" but now any outdoor swimming pool can do that just as well. Conclusion about the food: The only good thing is the price, but even that doesn't make the food any better. The dining room was cold and in the back room you had the impression that some of the chairs were being stacked because you were changing or to prevent you from climbing into the oven... it definitely didn't seem very inviting overall. The staff tried hard but were probably a bit overwhelmed with the number of guests, asking three times and waiting 20 minutes until someone was available again was a bit too much. Nevertheless, they were quick at what they did... they just weren't enough. The operator should perhaps hire one more person here. I probably won't go there anymore and in the future I'll treat myself to schnitzels everywhere else where they can simply be made better without having to specialize.

Very tasty schnitzels in every imaginable variant. We didn't have a reservation and still got a place. We were lucky because it was really well attended. Reservation is recommended. Service and food great! Highly recommended.

The food was very tasty! Unfortunately, there were tensions between the employees that the guests noticed. A “Hello” as a greeting would have been nice. We had to ask to place an order. We don't actually know anything about there...

A warm late summer day passing through Bad Mergentheim and I was in the mood for a schnitzel, and this one was delicious! Nice courtyard where you can sit with a large glass of drink. (Serving drinks colder would be nice.) There is a nice choice in portion size. Definitely recommended if you are in the area!!!

Staff unfriendly, shouts in front of guests, in my opinion no waitress here is suitable for the job. Walk past you blindly, you always have to wait a long time until someone comes to order something

The schnitzels were very tasty and also very tender and also very nicely prepared. The restaurant was well attended, I'm glad I made a reservation on Friday, otherwise the four of us probably wouldn't have been able to get a seat. Our waitress was a bit stressed, which was very noticeable. But otherwise it was a cozy restaurant and we were very satisfied.

We were looking for a restaurant on a short trip. The portions are large, but the taste and quality are not great. (Ready-made sauce) The staff bitches at each other so that everyone notices...you don't have to have it a second time.

The food was delicious and also beautifully prepared. Unfortunately there wasn't too much going on in the restaurant. The service could be more reserved towards the children. Our little one was a little surprised. Price-performance fits perfectly.

We were there on a Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Beer garden was 50 percent occupied. Nobody was sitting inside. We were taken to a table outside. The beer garden is unkempt. Grass grows. Tables not clean. Mayo and ketchup are in the sun. Drinking took a while and then came for me in a dirty glass. The food looked very appealing at first. Unfortunately I also had a dead fly on the schnitzel. The menu is already very small. We wouldn't go there again.

If you like delicious, crispy schnitzels in affordable, really large portions, the Schnitzel Hof is a great choice. We showed up on a sunny Sunday without a reservation and got a nice outdoor seat despite the house being full. The service was very courteous and friendly. The food . Mega tasty. We ordered a hunter schnitzel and a schnitzel tower. Each with fries. You are asked... Normal or small... If you are not a good eater, you should take the small portion. And even that is more than enough 😄. The prices are really absolutely right. You should note that the side dishes cost extra. But it's totally worth it. . 2 meals and 2 drinks 39 euros. And go home full. A visit to the Schnitzel Hof is definitely worth it. We recommend.

We came across the Schnitzelhof by chance and it certainly wouldn't be the last visit during our stay in this area. We were given a seat in the beer garden, the tables are cleaned before each use. The drinks came very quickly, we (two people) had to wait 40 minutes for the food. We're not deducting any points for this, it was packed with a wedding and the food was more than worth the wait! We also wanted to eat comfortably and weren't on the run. The portion was generous, both for the Texas schnitzel with sweet potato fries and for the salad plate with champion topping. We've experienced a lot of lovelessness, especially with salads, but here there was really variety in the large portion. We can highly recommend a visit here. A little tip for organizing the tables in the beer garden: Marking the tables, visible to guests, helps you pay for the right table with EC inside....

Wonderful. Very, very tasty. And huge portions. And there is also turkey. Top. Particularly recommended are the glazed onions. Yum.

The schnitzel was very good. Portion sizes are definitely okay too. Normal here means two schnitzels (see picture). Unfortunately, we actually had to wait over an hour for our order for two people (2 drinks with schnitzel). We were there at 6 p.m. and we only had food on the table at 7:12 p.m. That's why there is definitely a deduction for service!!! I mean, in the time from the time of arrival until we got the food, our table neighbors ordered, got their food, had already eaten and left again... In terms of price, it's perfectly fine! Unfortunately, parking spaces are usually full in the evenings. Unfortunately, the exit from the parking spaces is not ideal either (already narrow). But you can alternatively park on the street in front of the roundabout.

The food is incredibly tasty and really well priced. Unfortunately the service is very, very unfriendly. At least the older lady did. The boy was very friendly. I think if you come without a gourmet block, you will receive a friendlier welcome. I can't judge whether that's really the case. I felt that way. But we will definitely give it another try

Ordentliche Portionen mit der Option auf Beilagen. Das Konzept macht hier definitiv Sinn. PLV ist hier mehr als gelungen. Der Biergarten lädt zum längeren Sitzen ein. Der Service ist flott und freundlich.

Unfortunately it's all ready-made food, basically no problem if the price is right. What I have a problem with is that the sauces are not even homemade. Unfortunately it's not for me. But service is TOP, very nice employees.

Food was good, there are many different schnitzel variations. You can choose between normal and small portions, had a side salad and a small portion of schnitzel with croquettes and was full! It wasn't the last time there ;)

Yesterday we went to the Schnitzelhof with the kids after a visit to the thermal baths. We happened to drive by and they had to Luckily there is still room. The staff was extremely friendly and on top of their game, and was well organized. The children were given priority and had their schnitzel with fries incredibly quickly, which was simply amazing. But we didn't have to wait long. It all tasted really good and so did the prices were appropriate. Our children in particular were extremely enthusiastic about the taste of the schnitzel. We will definitely come back because everything was just right and it was a nice end to the day. To the staff there: keep it up!! 👏🏼

Schnitzel and cocktails are recommended, spaetzle and fried sauce taste 1:1 like they come from the supermarket. The staff also forgot our cutlery.

We were just passing through and stopped for dinner. I had Maultaschen with potato salad and can certainly recommend it as an alternative to the numerous schnitzel variations.

I've never experienced anything like how unfriendly you can be to guests. No greeting, long waiting times, rude behavior towards the guests. Service and customer friendliness definitely looks different.

If I couldn't give any stars for the service, I would!!! Terribly rude service, discussions between the staff in front of guests and a very strange way of welcoming and serving guests. No matter how good the food is, the staff ruins it.

Gutes Essen, netter Service, die Schnitzel waren OK finde es nur schade das diese in der Fritteuse raus gebacken werden, zumindest hat es stark danach geschmeckt. Hatte ein Champignon Schnitzel, das Schnitzel war zu überladen mit Champignons. hier eine Handvoll weniger wäre auch völlig ausreichend gewesen.

Das Essen ist preislich mittlere Bereich. Es ist ok wenn man sehr gerne schnitzel ist. Aber es gibt besseres aber auch schlechteres.

Das ist das erste Mal dass ich auch 10 von 5 Sternen geben würde! Wir waren eine Gruppe von 7 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern (5-8) und wir wurden den Abend richtig toll und kindgerecht betreut. Die Servicekraft ist super auf die Kinder eingegangen, war immer freundlich und zügig. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen ist richtig gut, interessante Schnitzelvarianten in richtig leckerer Qualität, große Portionen (groß= zwei Schnitzel) und dann ganze noch zu sehr humanen Preisen. Ich habe für drei Personen inkl. Getränke+einem Dessert etwas über 60 Euro bezahlt, das ist für die Qualität und Quantität wirklich günstig. Absolute Empfehlung, vor allem auch wegen der ausgesprochenen Kinderfreundlichkeit!

Schnitzelbrett war sehr sehr lecker, wie man sich halt Schnitzel wünscht, schon knusprig und dann noch mit verschiedenen Varianten des Hauses. Top.... Aber Service kann viel dazulernen, falls das überhaupt von der Geschäftsführung gewünscht ist. Den das Konzept mit Zusatzverkäufen gelingt nicht, sofern überhaupt gewünscht. Also erstes würden wir darauf hingewiesen, das alle Getränke auf der Getränkekarte 1 Euro mehr kosten, da die neuen Karten mit aktuellen Preisen noch nicht fertig waren. Ich denke das sollte der Hinweis auf die Erhöhung der MwSt 2024 sein. Was nach meinem rechnen nach nicht immer einer Teuerung von 12 Prozent entspricht, sondern wohl eher einer guten Mischkalkulation. Nachdem wir uns nach der Sauna erstmal mit Getränken eingedeckt hatten, kam die Nachfrage oder eher die Möglichkeit, wieder welche bestellen zu können nicht. Eigentlich Schade da, das eine oder andere Getränke noch gerne von uns genommen worden wäre. Upselling wird klein geschrieben oder einfach nicht gewünscht. Fazit.... Essen top, wenn man auf Schnitzel steht, wer aber am Abend gemütlich sitzen bleiben möchte, und den Abend gerne in einer Location ausklingen lassen möchte sollte woanders hin..

Ambiente und Service ist einwandfrei auch preislich kann man nicht meckern. Allerdings beim Schnitzel, außer Panade ist da leider fast nichts dran. Also wer wenig Fleisch möchte ist hier richtig.

ESSEN & SERVICE SEHR GUT (2X 5 STERNE) AMBIENTE OKAY. SEHR LAUTE GERÄUSCHKULISSE. ABER ALLES IN ALLEM ECHT OKAY UND EINEN BESUCH WERT 👍
