One of the last great middle-class inns, you have to be happy as long as something like that still exists. Keep it up! Great, tasty and above all affordable food.

If you like a typical German restaurant with German food, this is the place for you! I've been there several times and it always tasted very good. And at normal prices! I'll be back. 😁

Great, good food, and above all the service is great

I'm definitely not particularly picky, but when I go out to eat, I want to be able to enjoy it. Unfortunately that didn't work here. How there are so many 5* reviews is a mystery to me. I wish everyone who can have different experiences here.

Had dinner on Sunday with 12 people and it was very good

I was there recently with my family. We were 12 people. Of course we made reservations. I have never been to the Gasthaus zum Baschl before. But my brother raved about it. And one thing first of all, he wasn't exaggerating at all. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. After a short time drinks were taken and they came in no time. The menu is clear and not overloaded. There is sure to be something for every taste. Since I like to eat a schnitzel, I ordered the Jägerschnitzel with homemade spaetzle, mushroom cream sauce and a small side salad. First of all, I treated myself to the soup of the day (beef broth with noodles and Maultaschen), which was served quite quickly. This turned out to be a good choice and was a successful start. The small side salad consisted of potato salad, lettuce, cucumber, carrots and horseradish. The dressing surprised me positively. The first bite of the schnitzel blew me away. Plus the delicious spaetzle... But the highlight was actually the sauce. A dream 😍 You can really taste that the family is in the kitchen and cooks with love! I haven't had such an incredibly tasty schnitzel in a long time! The portion was more than enough. Especially when you think about the price... Quality and taste for the money are very rare these days. I'm even more pleased that there are still inns like this 🥰 Although full and happy, I treated myself to a latte and a piece of cake (that day the choices were Philadelphia cake and apple pie). The cake was also freshly homemade and tasted incredibly delicious! All in all, I can only warmly recommend the Gasthaus zum Baschl! If you like good, rustic German home cooking (in the most positive sense!!!), you definitely have to stop by here when you get the chance. It was my first, but certainly not the last, time as a guest! Thanks for the wonderful food! 🥰🙏🏼

We are lucky that such inns still exist: good and honest quality of food, top price-performance ratio and great, funny service staff. Here you can tell that it is a family business that cooks and serves with a lot of heart and passion. You can't expect star cuisine here, but you can expect an all-round delicious, cozy and authentic evening in a rustic inn in Hohenloischen. Went there for the first time today and will definitely eat there more often. It was very delicious. The order went quickly and the food came very quickly, even though the house was full. We were served very friendly and were surprised by the affordable prices.

Very nice for a very relaxing evening. Delicious cuisine at reasonable prices. Family-run business that makes you feel good. Always well attended, reservations are recommended. But if you come spontaneously and are flexible, you still won't be sent home 😁. Lunchtime is always pretty full. The family is extremely hospitable. We have enjoyed coming here for a long time. This is still honest gastronomy.

This cosy little restaurant has a very great place for anybody who wants a little stressless time. The waiters are friendly and the food was ready in 20 minutes after order.

Wir haben heute auf Empfehlung unseres Nachbarn Waldemar D. Fleischkäse mit Röstzwiebeln, Spiegeleiern, Bratkartoffeln und Salat genossen. Der Fleischkäse (Eigenproduktion), die Bratkartoffeln (eigener Anbau), die Gaggerli (Spiegeleier), die Röstzwiebeln, alles passte perfekt zusammen, hat prima gut geschmeckt, Weltklasse! Nicht zu vergessen, das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist weiterhin unschlagbar. Wir kommen gerne wieder, so wie es seit Jahren eh schon tun, aber Fleischkäse steht ab sofort ganz oben auf unserer Wunschliste.

Schöne Dorfgaststätte mit guten regionalen Gerichten, netter Service, super Preise. Auf einer Radtour sind wir eher zufällig dort eingekehrt. War eine gute Entscheidung. Können wir weiter empfehlen....

Fünf Punkte sind hier zu wenig! Dorfgasthof erwartet und Dorfgasthof bekommen! Riesenportion und schmackhaft zubereitet. Ich bin noch Original schwäbisches/Hohenlohisches Essen - Fantastisch! Dazu Apfelmost oder Bier! Das ist was für DORFKINDER! Sternekochliebhaber - bitte weiter gehen! Das ist unser Lokal! Lecker lecker lecker!

Leckeres Essen zum fairen Preis. Ob Schnitzel, Bratwurst oder Vesper, Hausgemachtes gibt es hier AUCH zum mitnehmen in der Dose. Im Sommer ist die Terrasse sehr beliebt.

Sehr nettes Lokal, sehr schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Wird gerne besucht. Essen war sehr lecker und schlicht, Putenschnitzel mit Pommes, vieles Hausgemacht mit eigener Schlachterei. Also Frisch. Lokal ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber rustikal und gemütlich. Auf der großen Terrasse kann man auch viele unterbringen. Komme gerne wieder.

Mein Favorit: Schnitzel mit Pommes (oder Bratkartoffeln), Zwiebeln und Soße 😋😋😋 Vorher Plätze reservieren, da sehr besucht.

Exactly that where we were looking for when we arrived here. Just plain decent German dishes, served by German waiters and with German music on the background. Food was good. Portions where sufficiently big. Value for money was good. Service was good enough and in line with expectations. Only did not try the rest room, so I cannot tell you how clean they were.

Durch eine Empfehlung sind wir zum Gasthaus Baschl gekommen. Ein absolut toller Tipp, das Essen ist bodenständig mit einer sehr guten Qualität . Ehrliche Küche zu einem unschlagbaren Preis. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und absolut freundlich. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen.

Das Restaurant hat gute Bewertungen und ich bin total überrascht. Das einzige was die zwei Punkte verdient ist das Bier und die nette weibliche Bedingung. Die Salatschüssel hat ein Alibi Salat- Blätchen bekommen. Sonst war es die Dose. Paprikasosse ist den Namen nicht wert. Die Pfeffersosse und warme Dosenpaprika. Unpaniertes Schnitzel ist für mich ungewöhnlich, aber andere Orte, andere Sitten. Ich gehe jetzt woanders noch essen.

Sehr lecker! Selbst hergestellte grobe Bratwürste - hervorragend gewürzt. Jägerschnitzel mit Pommes - da gab‘s nix zu meckern- top! Preis/Leistungsverhältnis klasse. Wir sind immer wieder gerne dort und fühlen uns auch wegen der sehr sehr freundlichen Atmosphäre sehr wohl.

Wir sind wahrlich nicht sehr anspruchsvoll, haben aber selten schlechter gegessen, wie hier. Soße aus der Packung, Fleischqualität schlecht. Gerne zahlen wir für kleinere Portionen mehr, wenn dadurch die Qualität steigt.

Nach einem Jahr sind wir mal wieder in der Gegend gewesen und haben auch wieder beim Baschl vorbeigeschaut. Es hat sich nichts geändert. Nach wie vor eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

Das gibt es kaum noch. Original Hohenloher Wirtschaft mit einfachen frisch gekochten Tagesgerichten. Bei meinem kletzten Besuch gab es gekochte Rinderbrust mit Meerrettichsauce. GUT und GÜNSTIG.

Wir essen regelmäßig seit vielen Jahren dort und fühlen uns jedesmal sehr wohl. Das Essen ist super- gute Hausmannskost und die Betreiber sind total nett. Einfach top:-)

Das Speisenangebot ist klein und umfasst keine exotischen Dinge, aber die Portionen sind reichhaltig und die Preise dabei ungewöhnlich niedrig. Besonders zu empfehlen sind die im eigenen Haus hergestellten Spirituosen und die ebenfalls hausgemachten Fleisch- und Wurstwaren, die zum Teil auch zum Mitnehmen angeboten werden. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich.
