Schnitzelei Mitte in Berlin

All in all, a lovely evening. The quality of the food was appropriate for the price. There was a veal schnitzel, a salad with oyster mushroom schnitzel and fish fingers for the child. Everything was quite balanced, fried capers in the salad can be recreated right at home. Super tasty. There are many vegetarian and vegan alternatives on the menu. The surprise of coloring the children's menu was just as refreshing as the service, which knew what it was doing. The Berlin snout definitely fits in there. 😉 Gladly again.

A little hidden restaurant. Cute and homely, the food portions are large and my dish was prepared quickly. Definitely a nice place to spend the evening. Better to go by reservation as the place is not very big and seems very busy

The place is absolutely wonderful, the staff are attentive, attentive and friendly, there is absolutely no chicken schnitzel, there are either pork or veal options, Kordon Blue also has chicken and turkey, the veal schnitzel was truly beyond perfect, they even doubted whether it was veal or not and asked for sure. I asked and they said it was definitely veal, it was so light and delicious that I can't explain it, we went on a Friday at 18:00 in the evening and there was room, but it might be safer if you make an appointment and go, we went with our daughter and our daughter. Coloring paper and pencils arrived immediately, thank you very much for this thoughtful idea, it is one of the places I will definitely go when I come to Berlin again, by the way, the place is not on the street, you pass through a door as if you are entering a passage and it is right inside, the price may seem high, but it is worth it, especially in Turkey.' If you're coming from here, it definitely doesn't seem expensive for a place like this, but I'll leave the price tag to the photos anyway.

With a lot of goodwill 3 stars. Schnitzel okay, even if it was pre-made and only heated quickly in the deep fryer (very greasy). Side dishes are manageable and nothing is homemade - at least it comes from the better buckets. The service needs training in politeness and friendliness. 3 stars really only because everything tastes good.

We had dinner here last night and the whole experience was just fantastic, the atmosphere was great and the food and service were amazing 🤩 We were a table of 11 people and everyone loved it and commented on how delicious the food was. The team were fabulous and the really looked after us. They even managed to find 1 last portion of Strudel for me when they had run out, which made my evening. I would highly recommend that you eat here if you are visiting Berlin. ❤️

We loved this restaurant as a family of four - the food was delicious and hearty portions, and the service was friendly. It’s great that they have so many vegan and vegetarian options, although it would be great to also have a few vegetarian options on the children’s menu too. I hope to be back one day soon!

I am big fan and have been there many times, but today the waiter is a disaster!!! He served us A Pork schnitzel instead of Veal !!!!! This should never happened , would appreciate if someone from the management get in touch with me

Very tasty freshly breaded schnitzel. My highlight was the lemon in a kind of tights so that the seeds don't fall on the schnitzel.

In any case, the schnitzel is worth one (several) visits! We went here in the middle of the week in the evening without a reservation and it was very busy. If you are a group, a reservation would be recommended. After arriving we were quickly shown to our table. The waitress (very friendly) immediately gave us a welcome beer - very attentive! The wait until the food came was very pleasant. The dishes we ordered - veal schnitzel and Jägerschnitzel - were delicious! We were very happy with our visit to the Schnitzelei. The price-performance ratio is right here! Gladly again!

The schnitzel I had was excellent and salad was well dressed. However, service was really slow. In my opinion, restaurants that ask customers to view menu by scanning the QR code should provide WiFi.

Many different schnitzel variants, also vegan and something for everyone. Meat was a little poorly seasoned, potatoes were great. Staff friendly and on the ball. It was far too loud for me in the large rooms. Ambience nice. Veal schnitzel with baked triplet potatoes and small. Cucumber salad 27 euros. Parking is difficult like everywhere else.

Delicious food, although it happened to us here for the first time that we were dumped in a rather unfriendly manner when our time window of 2 hours had expired. To be honest, I've never been sent away after a time slot. Reason enough for me not to go here anymore en. If you don't have any problems with that, you can find a nice restaurant with good food. I just don't like profit maximization, how is that supposed to create enjoyment?

I loooooved this place when I visited in September. The food was delicious the schnitzel was tender! The apple strudel was awesome as well. I wouldn't definitely recommend.

Trip to Berlin 3 days, we visited the schnitzel restaurant twice, the food was the best we ate, perfect and the staff was very welcoming. Everything perfect. I highly recommend it!

Unfortunately, the schnitzels didn't convince us. If you receive the schnitzels just 5 minutes after ordering, the question arises as to whether they were freshly prepared. There was also more pannade than schnitzel. After complaining, the waitress even admitted that the schnitzels were already prepared because so many of them go over the counter in one evening. I would have preferred to wait a bit and eat a crispy, hot schnitzel instead.

Very crowded and loud. If you like fatty food, this is the right place for you, including vegetarian and vegan options.

We were lucky to get a table spontaneously when we arrived on a Friday evening. Delicious food and most important glutenfree Schnitzel available without extra costs.

The host and server was so kind and lovely and the food was SO delicious! The gluten free schnitzel was so tasty and it made it back to my hotel room still hot somehow! Very well packaged to-go and they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions. Definitely give it a try!

Highly recommended chance find. A small welcome beer without being asked, which (as we noticed from the neighboring table) can optionally be exchanged for a soft drink. I can't say anything about the schnitzels, but the "German tapas" were delicious (even if hot blood sausage might not be everyone's cup of tea - but you have the choice... Super nice staff. A day later we wanted to try the schnitzels there, but we couldn't get any more space. Conclusion: Worth a visit, but please reserve in advance!

The food was ok, nothing to write home about. The service was average. What upset us was when we went to pay, being asked to provide a tip. When we declined, the waitress demanded to know why. When we asked if she gets paid a standard wage regardless of tips and she said yes, we still declined to tip on the EFTPOS machine. She was quite annoyed with us and said we should really provide a tip and that it's really appreciated. We again declined and left.

Super good food and sweet and nice waiters. We would have liked to have been back, but it didn't quite work out, so it will have to be the next time we are in Berlin 👍😊

In my opinion, Schnitzelei Mitte is one of the top 5 best schnitzel restaurants in Berlin! Tip: eat on “Schnitzeltag” (Sunday) at unbeatably attractive prices.

Wiener Schnitzel, Rose, still water. and all will be well for a few beautiful moments :) I've tasted similarly high quality schnitzel. The delicate, unpretentious balance of the breading, the cranberry sauce, the pickles, the potato salad, and their wine: that is what makes it so special. I'd say it's fairly priced for what you're getting. Service is friendly and excellent (free starter beer!). Take your time here if possible. reserve a place. bring a date. it's well worth it. Space is nice, but can get a little full (deservedly so). Mind the rush hours!

The milanesas have that flavor that makes them look like they were made by a grandmother. For starters I chose the seasonal soup (pumpkin) and the main course was Milanese with potatoes and a salad of potatoes, pickled cucumbers and onions. Everything was incredible. Everyone's attention is exceptional. Worth every penny.

We went to the Schnitzelei for dinner with our 4-year-old child and can recommend it without reservation. Very tasty food. Extremely friendly and attentive staff. Everything worked out 🙂

An experience for all schnitzel fans! The best place to try out typical German/Austrian cuisine. In my opinion, the selection of starters in particular is a great idea. The service is super nice and the food comes very quickly even when the house is full! I can't say much about the food because it's just 5/5 stars. The restaurant is relatively expensive but the food is worth every cent.

The schnitzel was very tasty. Also the cucumber salad. The fried potatoes (triplets) went like this. Very professional friendly and fast service. Modern cozy furnishings. Still, the atmosphere is a little stressed. Staying longer is not part of the concept.

We didn't even make it to the restaurant, too bad... There were 4 of us and asked for a table as we hadn't made a reservation. There were some free. The lady told us she didn't have a table. We said a nice goodbye and left. But with a feeling as if they didn't want us here. No, let's take a quick look. Nothing will be released immediately. We don't organize anything for them or anything like that. Wanting to earn our money with zero input. It's a shame because we heard a lot of good things.

When you are searching for the place you think you are directed wrong to a backyard but when you arrive you see it is a really cozy backyard with good design:) When you first arrive they give free small drink as welcome. They have a big menu where you can find a good option for your own taste also vegetarian. We tried out Vom Kalb which is a typical schnitzel option in the menu. Ordered mashed potatoes and fried potatoes which both were really good. Cucumber salad was different for me but my family enjoyed. The portion is very big, you will be really full and happy at the end of your meal:)

Excellent place with excellent service. You have to reserve but we arrived without a reservation and they told us we could wait for a cancellation, luckily it didn't take long and there was one so they let us in. We ordered several dishes to eat and they were very good and we tried 2 types of beers which were also excellent.

Went to the Schnitzelei for the first time today for a business lunch and found it absolutely delicious. Starting with the combinable starter and finally with the vegetarian schnitzel. In my opinion, the price is perfectly fine at €30-35/head with drinks. I'd love to come back. Reservations definitely make sense. 😉

Located in a second inner courtyard, this modern restaurant is no longer an insider tip. You have to be lucky to get a place here. The schnitzels are delicious and you'll feel full. However, the prices of the dishes are also quite high. The service is excellent.

We accidentally ended up there without a reservation due to a mix-up, with all seats occupied except for a small table in the aisle. We got that, plus a free welcome beer! 10 minutes later we got the best table right at the counter and were able to watch everything going on. We experienced a team that was committed, friendly and had great fun working together, making it a joy to watch. The food, a Wiener Schnitzel, was above average and the service was excellent. The concept of offering the dishes vegetarian and cheaper is great. What we liked most, however, was the proof of the origin of the meat and the regional nature of the purchase. Overall, our best experience during our stay in Berlin.

Very friendly staff, quick service, but very loud. The schnitzel was not tasty, had no salt whatsoever or any sort of seasoning. Felt like I was eating a piece of boiled pork in a fried batter, completely tasteless. This place was recommended as one of the best but I felt like I was in a tourist trap.

The food is exceptionally good. The waitresses are quick but don't notice the guests. Neither when assigning a table nor when ordering or paying is there even the slightest hint of eye contact. You don't have to wait long for the food and the drinks were at the table very quickly. It's just a shame that here too it's table to table and it's incredibly loud. Unfortunately, conversation is not possible, so we left the restaurant immediately after eating. Without a reservation it is difficult to spontaneously get a table here.

A bit hidden in the back yard, very tasteful ambience. Open, sociable and with very friendly staff. The schnitzels are really very convincing, especially the breading is really fun! There are a lot of vegetarian variations and also a lot of choice when it comes to “German tapas”.

OpenTable reservation worked perfectly. Service great and attentive. Special requests due to allergies were taken into account and implemented. When we're back in town we'll be back.

Magnificent place where we ate the best snichtzel in the city. We arrived early without a reservation and they still took us. They gave my 2 year old daughter some paper and colors to draw on. When he finished eating, they offered him an ice cream, a nice detail. In short, a well-acclimated place, with very good food and excellent customer service. We will be back 100%!!

The schnitzels impress in terms of taste and appearance. The name is and remains the program. As a welcome you get a small beer. The side dishes are all recommended and can be adapted to suit the dish and taste upon request. The service is guest-oriented, but you have to allow for some waiting time at peak times. A reservation is only recommended. The location is inviting, bright and beautiful. In summer you can sit well on the terrace. Overall, a visit is highly recommended.

My boyfriend really wanted to try some authentic schnitzel in Berlin, and I’m vegan so was prepared to not eat while he did - however this place was a gem to find! They have a vegan schnitzel on the menu which was incredible! And huge portions for the price. I didn’t feel left out and felt so good to be able to participate in the “traditional” food. We didn’t have a reservation but the host managed to fit us in before another reservation and the server was very fast and attentive but didn’t make us feel rushed. I’d recommend booking in case but highly highly recommend!

The Schnitzelei is a very nice restaurant. Schnitzel in every variety, whether veal, beef or pork and also vegetarian versions are included. Like cauliflower schnitzel. The service is quick and very friendly. Thanks for that. We had a lovely evening.

Amazing place for meateaters, vegetarians and vegans AND gluten intolerent people. It’s very rare to find a place where you have vegan and glutenfree options but it’s even rarer to find one with austrian / german cuisine. Great menu, large portions, amazing staff. They have a few restaurants in town.

It's all an absolute dream...and a waitress definitely deserves a promotion or something! She doesn't serve us and everyone is great here... but according to our observations, she is the best! A perfect employee in every respect! We don't know her name but she has brown hair... a bob and bangs! I've never seen service as efficient as her! It has to be said...we are thrilled! Best regards!

Great visit to the Schnitzelei… I recommend the German tapas first - ideal for sharing. The schnitzels are all great and the waitresses are very nice and quick…. Please also keep the welcome drink...

A bit of a disappointing schnitzel, but maybe there are higher highs that I didn't get to experience. I came for dinner at 20:00 and ordered the veal schnitzel (~28 euros) with my friend. We were given a complimentary beer while waiting! The schnitzel came with a cucumber salad and some potatoes. To be completely honest, the schnitzel was extremely dry and didn't have much flavor to it. Moreover, there was way too much breading relative to the actual meat itself. I don't have schnitzel that often, but this didn't live up to the expectation. I didn't get to experience the tapas that are talked about quite often in the reviews, so you could perhaps try that out if you come here. Overall, a pretty average restaurant.

We were offered a complimentary drink on arrival, and the staff were really accommodating and attentive. The food was very tasty and filling! Will definitely be coming back on my next visit to Berlin 😊
