Schnitzel Viennese style probably more like schnitzel Indian style, meat compressed 1mm, dry like cardboard and full of curry powder for whatever reason... people often write about this strange spice in the comments... very, very disappointing

No, there is no pork fillet here, but as a Schnitzelalm it is a must for every visit to Bad Hindelang

The food was very good and came quite quickly, I had the small Jägerschnitzel with fried potatoes, for me the schnitzel was too small in relation to the fried potatoes. The fried potatoes were plenty for 2 people!

I wouldn't come again. Quality and price don't match. Only the cheese spaetzle with the schnitzel tasted good. The rest comes out of the bag. With the schnitzel with potato salad, although the salad is difficult to describe. Potatoes very hard, marinade probably bought ready-made and "refined" with mustard. Schnitzel very dry, breading ok, taste not great. It's a shame, but you can easily achieve this quality yourself at home. At first glance, the ambience is rustic, but it's not clear why there has to be a television in every corner. Please don't take a closer look, it's been a while since the last cleaning, there are food residues on the floor, the upholstery is greasy. Conclusion: Since we only got a place on the third attempt (previously always fully booked) we were actually doubly disappointed.

Large, tasty selection of schnitzels

I can't understand where all the good reviews come from. The floor in the guest room is just disgustingly dirty. An ancient carpet covered in stains and leftover food, greasy thin cushions on the chairs and worn-out covers on the benches. The furniture urgently needs to be overhauled or, even better, the room needs to be completely gutted and re-equipped. The drink (Spezi) was already "dead" in the glass when it was delivered to the table. Either it had been finished for a long time or there was no more CO2 in the system. For the schnitzel with potato salad: Huge portions do not automatically mean good quality or good taste. The potato salad was ice cold, definitely from a cheap 10 liter bucket and tasted far less than that from a discount store. The meat of the schnitzel was good but the breading... I can't even describe it. Strange soft consistency, strange orange, strange taste and definitely some kind of ready-made breading. Sorry dear guests, but that was nothing. You need to improve a lot on this.

We have been loyal guests to the Schnitzelalm for many years. The food is always consistently tasty and the portions are very good. The staff is friendly and always helpful, no matter how stressful it may be. Big praise!

We were in the Schnittalm for the first time. You feel good when you enter the restaurant. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is unbeatable. It's rare to get such a tender and delicious schnitzel. The sauces were also very tasty. We are only in Bad Hindelang for 3 days, but will come here a second time to eat.

The service was friendly but very inattentive, even though it wasn't that busy. Chris compensated really well here even though he wasn't responsible for us. I found the food surprisingly bad. Where do all the good reviews come from? The breading of the schnitzel had practically no spices. The broth was totally watery. The side dishes were disappointing across the board. And it was actually quite expensive. There are such great restaurants here. The Schnitzelalm is not one of them for me.

The Schnitzelalm lives up to its name. Anyone looking for schnitzel in all variations will find it here. The schnitzels were wonderfully tender, the breading was great and baked really well. The ambience was very pleasant, like being in a mountain pasture. Service was friendly and attentive. We were completely satisfied and will come back. We ate schnitzel forester style with fries and 30cm schnitzel. And what was particularly great was that you got a bottle of ketchup and mayonnaise on the table and not those stupid ketchup packets. We thought it was great and it’s sustainable.

Top schnitzel, high-quality meat, large portions (but everything can also be smaller). Friendly staff, nice rustic atmosphere, very family friendly (small fries for free). Only the waiting time could have been a little shorter, but that wasn't so bad, after all we were there at rush hour.

We had the world's best cheese spaetzle and the “spicy” schnitzel. Add a local beer and all is right with the world. Be sure to take a look here! The service is also extremely friendly and fun. We were here in the afternoon, but a reservation is recommended in the evening.

Always a nice welcome. Even if we didn't make a reservation, the staff always tried very hard to ensure that we got a seat and didn't have to leave hungry 😊 The service is really top!!! The ambience is always nice to look at and furnished with love. The food is good and there is really something for everyone. We always enjoy coming here and recommend it to others. Reservations are an advantage and make the innkeeper’s job easier…..not like us, just show up and hope. 😬

I have always been satisfied and enjoyed going there. However, the statement that there is warm food until 9 p.m. should be updated or reconsidered. We were put off with the message shortly before 8 p.m. that we should make a reservation next time, then 8 p.m. would still be possible. Well, we didn't find it so pleasant on the journey home.

Everything was very good, except for the top bar on the entrance door. From 1.85m tall it could be dangerous ;-) .

Yesterday we were lured by the title Schnitzelalm and drove there for about 45 minutes. Unfortunately, time was wasted. Our side dishes were swapped, which can happen...even when there are 3 tables occupied. The waiter had no motivation at all. Unfortunately, the food itself was disappointing. Schnitzel completely soggy in the sauce, the waitress replied "then you have to order the sauce separately". In my opinion, the service must point this out in advance and ask if it is unknown. Food is no longer average. The ambience inside was great but that was it. I can't recommend it and won't come again.

This is the third time I've been here. The food is good, the portions are large and the price is quite reasonable for the portions. There are a wide variety of schnitzels. I've never sat inside as I've only ever been there when the weather is nice. Then you sit on the terrace behind the house under the sunshade with a view of the mountain and the hotel's own parking lot. The Schnitzelalm is often visited by motorcyclists, as the road to Oberjoch is a beautiful highlight. Unsuitable for wheelchair users as there are a few steps leading from the car park to the terrace and the toilet is in the basement. At least as far as I could see it. On the day of my visit to the restaurant there was live music from the Kempten reggea dialect band Losamol. The lead singer Martin spread a great atmosphere with his funny lyrics. The 4-year-old Luis, who knows how to write, is also unique on the microphone. The visit will definitely be remembered.

I had schnitzel Viennese style. In my opinion, a schnitzel is seasoned with salt and pepper and breaded. Here, however, the breading was strangely orange and tasted a bit bitter - probably a lot of paprika. It was very heavy in the stomach. Too bad.

Nice restaurant with nice service. Table was booked for 7:30 p.m. for 6 people. After a short wait we were shown to the table. The drink order was taken and it came quite quickly. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for the food. My Viennese style schnitzel was ok, but personally the curry seasoning bothers me. Breading was ok. This location, this rustic ambience with lots of wood - what could you do with it!? Full of hope, we went to the Schnitzelalm after a long mountain tour to give the day a worthy end - and were simply disappointed. The rather tasteless Cordon Bleu was accompanied by constant boom-boom-ballermann hits and videos of the Audi crew on some racing course. It really has little to do with “Alm”. The question of whether it was tasty was immediately answered by looking at the empty plates (we were hungry!) and saying “yes, obviously”. Of course that's how it works... Too bad. Given the name, I would have liked something more authentic in a mountain village.

We had already been here 2 years ago and we liked it so we came here again. And luckily it was still very tasty. Fortunately, they still had the cherry nectar on the menu, which is very tasty (a pity that this is so difficult to get in the Netherlands, but we did bring a few bottles of Lindauer cherry nectar from a supermarket in the area) Wienerschnitzel (schwein) was excellent, jägerschnitzel was slightly different in taste than 2 years ago, but still delicious. We added a beilagensalat and pffffff...that alone was almost a meal! Fries were excellent and we could add mayonnaise and ketchup as desired from the bottles we received. Kaiserschmarrn was also tasty and more than sufficient for a meal. In short, this location is highly recommended. The road towards the east is also something special ;)
