Schmales Handtuch in Bad Kreuznach

The food was delicious. It took a bit too long for it to arrive.

On December 3rd, 2025, the three of us were at Salinas at 10:20 PM and wanted to have a cocktail, as happy hour was still on until 10:30 PM. We were told they were open until 11:00 PM, to which we replied that the website stated they were open until midnight. We were paid at 10:45 PM. At 11:05 PM, we were asked to leave the premises even though our drinks were almost full. He offered to pack them up for us to go. These days, they should be grateful they even made any money. In the winter months, they close earlier, but there's no indication of this anywhere. The staff argued with us, clearly annoyed. If they close earlier in the winter months, they should update their opening hours online and perhaps put a sign on the door so customers are aware. Very unfriendly and a shame.

I'd like to report some good things. But we ordered in the evening, and delivery took more than two hours. We could call and see if someone answered. They said it would take about 20 minutes... but it turned out to be another hour. At least the whole of Bad Kreuznach could eat. Then, relief: the food arrived. A doner kebab plate was missing, and it was completely cold. So we demanded a refund and sent the food back.

We made a last minute reservation almost booked out on Thursday evening. Lovely people and great food. We ate wild pig meat for the first time and they made a special desert for my husband that does not eat gluten. Dankeschön!

Exceptional ambience (bring your jacket if necessary) small fine menu, very good portions, friendly service, definitely recommended
