Fantastisches Restaurant mit einer wunderschönen Terrasse. Die Gerichte werden mit Fachwissen und Leidenschaft komponiert und zubereitet. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wir haben unseren Besuch sehr genossen.

In Menü stand Waldpilzen, auf meine Teller waren Champignons

Absolut fantastisches Essen zu einem fairen Preis, wenn man die Qualität und die Portionsgrößen bedenkt. Ich kann die hausgemachten Limonaden wärmstens empfehlen. Die Champignons waren perfekt zubereitet, und die Crème brûlée war eine der besten, die ich je gegessen habe. Ich komme hoffentlich bald wieder.

Wir wollten während unseres Urlaubes in Bad Hindelang eigentlich jeden Tag woanders zu Abend essen. Nachdem wir aber im Schlosskeller waren, war klar: Wir gehen nirgendwo anders hin! Wir hatten den Cheeseburger, den Zwiebelrostbraten und den Sauerbraten…alles war einmalig lecker! Die Portionen waren ordentlich, die Qualität der Zutaten hoch und es kam immer superschnell! Das Fleisch war auf den Punkt und superzart und die Pommes selbstgemacht. Der Service an allen Tagen war außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend 🙂 Ein ganz klare Empfehlung für dieses Restaurant!

Wir haben wirklich sehr gut gegessen, ganz tolle Bedienungen, würde jederzeit wieder kommen und ich vermisse die Linguine mit Spargel und Bärlauch jetzt schon.

Einfach nur top! Hier stimmt wirklich alles 🙏🏼 wir waren am letzten Donnerstag Abend dort und der Service war einfach nur super. So aufmerksam! Das Essen hat wirklich wunderbar geschmeckt - besonders toll finde ich, dass es so viele vegane Optionen gibt! So lecker. Noch dazu sitzt man in einem wirklichen schönen Ambiente. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder wenn wir in Bad Hindelang sind 😊 klare Empfehlung!

super liebes personal, das essen kommt schnell und ist ganz fein abgeschmeckt! die karte bietet auch eine sehr tolle auswahl an veganen und vegetarischen gerichten (nicht immer nur ofenkartoffel und käsespätzle), die extrem gut schmecken. da können sich andere eine scheibe abschneiden. preislich mehr als in ordnung für die leistung, die man bekommt, wer gut essen möchte soll gerne geld dafür ausgeben. ein wertvolles restaurant für bad hindelang. wir kommen wieder! 😊

Wir waren im Schlosskeller Bad Hindelang und sind wirklich begeistert! Die Atmosphäre ist urig, gemütlich und passt perfekt zur Region – man fühlt sich direkt wohl. Besonders schön ist der Ausblick: Man kann wunderbar auf die Berge schauen, was den Aufenthalt nochmal deutlich aufwertet. Hervorheben möchte ich den „Zwiebelboss“: Das rosa, medium rare gebratene Rind war absolut auf den Punkt und unglaublich zart. In Kombination mit den original Allgäuer Kässpätzle und den vielen Zwiebeln ein echtes Highlight – völlig zu Recht ein Klassiker! Auch der Salat („Bullenfutter“) war frisch und lecker, auch wenn der Preis hier aus meiner Sicht etwas hoch ist. Geschmacklich gab es aber nichts auszusetzen. Der Service war insgesamt sehr aufmerksam und herzlich – man merkt, dass hier mit viel Engagement gearbeitet wird. Selbst der „Nachwuchs“ hat tatkräftig mit angepackt und für eine besonders sympathische, familiäre Atmosphäre gesorgt. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungener Besuch mit tollem Essen, herrlichem Bergblick und sehr herzlichem Service. Wir kommen definitiv gerne wieder!

Tolles Restaurant. Super freundlich vom Service begrüßt und professionell bedient worden. Getränke und Essen waren wirklich schnell. Sehr leckere, diverse Gerichte mit schöner veganer Auswahl und rotierender Karte. Der Sitzbereich vorne könnte etwas gemütlicher sein, aber alles mega gut. Werde wieder kommen!

Immer wieder ein Genuss. Das Essen ist Mega lecker & schön abwechslungsreich durch wechselnde Saison Speisekarten, der service lässt keine Wünsche offen & man fühlt sich direkt wohl.

Einfach genial! Es gibt vegan, vegetarisch oder auch mit Fleisch. Für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei. Die vegane Wirsingroulade mit Kartoffelbrei hat mich an das Essen bei meiner Oma erinnert. War genauso lecker gemacht 🤤 Bei der veganen Creme Brûlée hat endlich ein Koch verstanden worauf es wirklich ankommt: eine extra große Fläche für den karamellisierten Zucker 🤫😇 Zum reinlegen 🥰 Das Ambiente ist super gemütlich im alten Schlossgewölbe. Der Service: hervorragend. Schnell, freundlich und aufmerksam. Werden auf jeden Fall noch öfters hin gehen, um die komplette Speisekarte durchprobieren zu können 😊😉

Ich sage es jedes Mal, wenn ich im Schlosskeller essen gehe: Das vegane Essen ist absolute Bombe!! Ich kann mich nie entscheiden was ich essen soll, weil die vegane Auswahl so groß und vor allem lecker ist. Vielen Dank an die wundervollen Menschen in der Küche und selbstverständlich im Service. Ihr seid toll!! Wenn man also in Bad Hindelang oder in der Umgebung ist, auf jeden Fall im Schlosskeller essen gehen. Sehr, sehr, sehr zu empfehlen, nicht nur für Veganer :)

Spannende Karte mit wahnsinnig leckeren Gerichten. Das ganze Team hat Lust auf Gastro, dass schmeckt und merkt man im Umgang mit den Gästen wie auch untereinander. Ein gelungener Abend in liebevoll eingerichtetem Ambiente.

Da haben aber mal ein paar lustige und herzliche Leute so RICHTIG Lust auf Kochen mit Liebe zum "Produkt"😄! Und das merkt man- von Vorspeise bis Nachspeise, von vegan bis tierisch- danke dafür❣️

It was our first time at this restaurant! We were thrilled. The food was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly and genuinely interested in our well-being! The staff clearly paid close attention during their training regarding hospitality, friendliness, and attentiveness towards guests and customers. The owner is very fortunate. Unfortunately, this kind of service is rare these days. I was happy to reflect my satisfaction with the staff when determining the tip. This kind of service needs to be worthwhile for the staff, and in the restaurant industry, that's ultimately determined by the guests. We had the full menu: appetizer, main course, and dessert!!!

We stopped in spontaneously with five people. We were greeted and served in a friendly manner. The food and desserts were excellent (exceptionally good value for the quality). Highly recommended.

As a former student of a French culinary school, restaurant visits in Germany are usually disappointing for me. But not here! A waiter who is genuinely warm and truly deserves that title. Fresh cuisine and – this deserves special mention – a selection of homemade and perfectly balanced vegan dishes (refreshingly, not just vegetable curry as the only option). Keep it up!

Yesterday, our family (8 people) and I were absolutely thrilled with the Schlosskeller restaurant! The service was world-class, and the food (onion roast beef) was probably one of the best I've ever had. The salad dressing was also outstanding. The selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes was excellent as well. Highly recommended!

Excellent restaurant. A great, young, and motivated team who enjoy serving is at work here. A good selection of dishes with local influences and friendly menu notes make the visit very personal. The price and quality are right and should encourage more than just one visit. We were delighted.

We're from Bremen and really don't know of any restaurant in our area that serves such delicious food and has such a great team as the Schlosskeller in Bad Hindelang. As soon as you enter, you're greeted so warmly and friendly that it feels like you've been there forever. The entire team is incredibly dedicated and immediately conveys a sense of familiarity and hospitality. The food was simply outstanding! We had the onion roast beef with cheese spaetzle and a spinach and tomato risotto with chicken. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and really couldn't have been better. Every bite was a delight. And the best part: For this quality and taste, the prices are absolutely justified—if not almost too reasonable for what you get here. A huge thank you to the fantastic service team and the very talented chefs for this amazing experience. See you next time!

Very tasty food in a cozy atmosphere. Beer on tap. Competent and friendly service. Onion roast beef with cheese spaetzle and a side salad, top rating. Excellent value for money. Three times selected, always perfectly, the meat used was excellent. It couldn't be better. Reservations recommended. Update 2025: Amazing! Still perfect, same food, same quality. This time in the summer on the terrace, framed by shady trees 🌳, everything was perfect, fantastic.

You have to drive over 270 kilometers from my region to eat the best Zwiebelrostbraten in Germany. The price for the Zwiebelboss is almost too cheap, I don't want to give away any more than that. I can't afford to have it a third day in a row before I leave 😉. The friendly waitress with the glasses wasn't lying to me when she said it was also her best Zwiebelrostbraten. I booked to eat here before I arrived. I could hardly wait when I arrived in beautiful Allgäu that I called the day before so I could get to the Zwiebelboss earlier. Nouri, the nice young man, is one of the best restaurant professionals I know! My Zwiebelboss arrived so quickly that he even pointed it out to me outside while I was smoking. The Zwiebelrostbraten here is really delicious, which is why I understand why it was on the table before the salad. Nouri apologized, but he didn't need to, because I had praised the Zwiebelboss so much, and I'm sure everyone heard that last night. I even had the best seat with a very soft and comfortable chair. Unfortunately, so far, only one is available for one person. It's hard to find the Zwiebelboss, and even though I've been there so many times, I still need Google Maps to find it. So I took a photo from the outside today. Because of all the Zwiebelboss I completely forgot to mention that Nouri managed to persuade me to have a sorbet despite my full stomach. No one else had even managed that before, so thank you again, you weren't lying. I actually managed to get it in, and it was delicious, too. I was almost as relaxed as I was with Miguel the night before and even ordered a double espresso, otherwise I probably would have fallen asleep on the way back to my accommodation 😄. A truly great team, I don't know which I like better. The onion boss or you? 👍 If I can manage it, I'd like to devour another boss... I mean the onion boss 😄 on Sunday before I leave. Keep up the good work, and best wishes to the master chef. He must never change jobs, at most closer to my region, where they have the best ice cream, by the way 😉

Very good food, attentive service

We ate there twice during a week in the Allgäu region. Both times were absolutely fantastic. A truly pleasant atmosphere, super-friendly and pleasant staff, and the food was excellent and more than worth the money. We'd love to come back.

We spontaneously visited with our twins. The staff was super friendly and the food was excellent. Although not on the menu, we were able to order cheese spaetzle, which was the best of our vacation so far. Also worth mentioning is the small children's dish Leo Lausemaus (spaetzle with gravy). This sauce was super delicious. If even one dish tastes so good, then you can order the rest without hesitation. The service was excellent and prompt. We'll be back.

After prior agreement, we got a place to sit outside with our dog in the evening. Very friendly welcome. Good offerings of dishes for every taste. Everything on the plate was hot and very delicious. Plus a dark beer and a nice red wine. In this price category I would have liked a small salad with it. We can highly recommend the Schlosskeller restaurant! Were in the castle cellar today on March 26th, 2025, we were the first guests in the evening and received a very friendly welcome, great, that lasted the whole evening, the service couldn't be topped (compliment) then the food arrived, another surprise, modernly prepared and was excellent. The evening was twice as nice for us, as it was my wife's birthday, thank you very much for that I would be happy to recommend it as an experience. Cozy restaurant in the vaulted cellar. We had the vegan onion roast, the vegan burger and the large bull food - i.e. salad. For dessert, the vegan crème brûlée. The onion roast and the crème brûlée were especially delicious.

Drinks and food were served in almost record time. Food was very good in terms of taste and price.

The Hindelang Castle Cellar is absolutely recommended! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, the service is friendly and attentive, and the food is truly excellent. The regional specialties are particularly enjoyable – everything is freshly prepared and with great attention to detail. We felt completely comfortable and were able to really enjoy the evening in this charming atmosphere. For us, it's a highlight in Hindelang that we'll be happy to visit again every time we visit the area. Thank you for the great experience!

We ate in the castle cellar for the first time today. Everything was great from start to finish. The high chair and something to paint with were prepared for our son. The food was a dream! You can tell straight away that people cook with passion! The service ladies were attentive and super friendly! A reservation is definitely recommended as the restaurant is very busy. Thank you!

Very nice staff, you can get a seat even without a reservation, the menu isn't overloaded with 1000 dishes, but carefully selected ones with lots of regional products - the whole crew has a concept behind it that is implemented brilliantly. Unfortunately we only ate there on the last day of our vacation. The service employee was very friendly and accommodating. We had the tuna and venison with pumpkin. Both dishes were very tasty and perfectly prepared. You can tell that the kitchen crew really put thought into the dishes, lots of regional ingredients and that certain something. This is what makes the restaurant stand out. If we had discovered this restaurant earlier, we would definitely have eaten there more often. Absolute recommendation, best with reservation.

We always come to Bad Hindelang twice a year and always go out to eat in the castle cellar with our friends. We were there again last night, what can I say. Eating burgers, fish, wild boar goulash, etc. was all top and very, very tasty. And then there is the boss as a service person in a great mood. This makes eating out fun. A HUGE compliment to the Schlosskeller and a clear recommendation for anyone who wants to have a very good meal in Bad Hindelang. Kind regards, Nicole and Michel, we'll be back......

The two of us went to the Schlosskeller last night without a reservation and, like last time, it was a 10/10. :-) They made a very friendly effort to find a place in the restaurant, which was actually full. The two employees responsible for us were so helpful, kind and in a good mood - the service was perfect all around. We will definitely come back on our next vacation... oh yes - the food was also MEGA. ;-)

Very friendly service. If you order your onion roast “medium rare”, it will be served that way. Unfortunately, not many kitchens can do this anymore, for whatever reason. Small selected menu, regional products of good quality. Gladly again!

Unfortunately, this is rarely the case anymore: very attentive and fast service. There are enough employees so that every guest is served quickly and courteously. The extremely good food didn't take long to arrive either. Dishes are down-to-earth and yet with a certain sophistication. There's no chance of boredom here! The ambience in the garden is wonderful. Only the table decoration could be a little more stylish. Poison green napkins seem a bit out of date. Instead, a high-quality cloth napkin, a small candlelight or a colorful flower from the beautiful garden would look great on the table. Overall, a great restaurant - also (but not only) in comparison with what Bad Hindelang otherwise has to offer.

We had the rump steak and the onion roast. The rump steak was butter tender, even if it didn't match the level of doneness ordered. There were 2-3 things that went wrong, but the young lady who was responsible for our table showed excellent complaint behavior and reacted very well. And that's what it's all about, we're all human, mistakes happen, but how you deal with them shows how much of a professional you are. We will definitely eat a rump steak again.

Excellent dinner with good wine. Even without a reservation, they found a place for us and we did not regret it. Of course with an adequate price.

We first have to drive from Hanover to Bad Hindelang to find out that vegan and home-style cuisine are definitely possible in the same restaurant. We were served friendly and the food was very good.

I have now tested almost all the restaurants in Bad Hindelang and have to say that the Schlosskeller Restaurant is by far in first place. Both in service and in the quality of the food.

You can recognize an outstanding kitchen by how flexibly and creatively it responds to requests outside the norm. We chose the Schlosskeller for our wedding because it was the first restaurant that responded to our inquiry as to whether a 100% vegan buffet was also possible with: "Yes, of course, totally awesome, we've always wanted to do that." There were only 2 vegans, 2 vegetarians and over 84 meat lovers at the party. Nevertheless, everyone was thrilled with how delicious, creative and varied the food was. Each of our guests praised the cuisine and the service and was thrilled. We and 86 guests would recommend the Schlosskeller to everyone. The planning, the support and everything that goes with a wedding was wonderfully uncomplicated and all at an absolutely fair price. The Schlosskeller is not only a dream wedding location visually but also in terms of taste and is absolutely recommended thanks to the great team and the owner (Peter). Thank you for the great day!
