We had lunch here on a day trip! We ordered beef cheeks, but we got the wrong kind of sliced ​​fillet! But it was still tasty, and the portion was sufficient! The owner (server) could have been a bit friendlier and more chatty!!!

Delicious Bavarian home cooking! Huge portions and simply delicious! Today we had the cheese-covered schnitzel with croquettes and the Kasspatzen (cheese-seared dumplings) with a small salad. Friendly service, a rustic restaurant, and in the summer, a great beer garden with a view of the mountains.

Subpar food at completely overpriced prices. Never again!

The food was excellent, but unfortunately a bit overpriced. A cheese schnitzel, which was really delicious, with a few croquettes for 24.50 is too expensive.

We had Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) and salad. It was okay. The ambiance is a bit dated.

We can't recommend the burger with a dry bun and the Camembert with soggy lamb's lettuce. The pasta was okay, but at €23.80 for non-homemade ravioli, it wasn't cheap. The interior could use some updating. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

We've never had such a bad meal. We didn't order anything fancy, just cheese schnitzel with croquettes and a meatloaf with egg and fried potatoes. It should be doable and tasty considering the prices they charge. Never again!!!

I got a really bad reaction to the parking space, saying that when the boss comes it must be free... so I refused to give him the parking ticket and drove away again.

Not recommended for vegans. Fast and attentive service. Wonderful ambiance. The vegan dish was, unfortunately, completely overpriced and, to be honest, almost outrageous. With a vegan cordon bleu with vegetables and rice for over €20, you expect more than Rügenwalder Mühle's ready-made cordon bleu with peas and carrots from a jar/can. It's a shame. We were happy to see a vegan option, and the restaurant is so beautifully designed. Vegan cuisine is endless. There are so many easy ways to make sauces these days. This one was completely missing. For the price, you expect more. If you look at my previous reviews, you'll see that I don't like writing negative reviews, but you should really be warned here.

Delicious food and a nice beer garden.

Super delicious food with a lovely atmosphere! The four of us ordered Kaiserschmarrn, Käsespätzle, and schnitzel with fries (see photo). Unfortunately, I couldn't take any photos of the other two dishes; I was too hungry ;) The portions were generous and very tasty. The service was also impeccable, and the food was prepared quickly.

Four of us went there for dinner yesterday. The restaurant is in a beautiful location and offers a cozy atmosphere. The staff is extremely friendly, and the service was quick and attentive. The food was simply outstanding – typical local flavors, all freshly prepared and homemade. We had roast beef with onions, hunter's schnitzel, beef goulash, Hindelang cheese schnitzel, and Kaiserschmarrn. Everything was absolutely delicious! The Kaiserschmarrn was especially amazing – simply a delight. I definitely recommend this restaurant! 🙂

I'd go back anytime. The menu is straightforward, so there's something for everyone. We didn't have to wait long for our food. Friendly staff.

I had goulash soup in the beautiful original Hungarian soup pot, which was very good. On a previous visit I had sausage salad, which I didn't like. Here, slices of meatloaf were cut into sausage salad, which was far too coarse. But here... it's a matter of taste.

Probably the best Kaiserschmarren in the entire Allgäu! We had to order more straight away because it is so incredibly good and we had a few comparisons, but nothing comes close to this one!

It was pretty great, the sausage salad wasn't really our thing. I personally think the ambience is great and completely in keeping with the area. The restaurant is of course getting old, but that's not a problem for me personally.

The food had no taste, my husband ate Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle! Bland and cooked far too soft! Even the schnitzel had no taste at all. Not to mention the other dishes we ate! And the whole thing is way too overpriced.

Cozy atmosphere and super tasty! We didn't make a reservation, but we were given a table that wasn't reserved until later. We were lucky, because it was pleasantly busy. Definitely recommended!

Gastro in the city of Bad Hindelang...probably Hungarian-owned...with a terrace at the back where you can sit quite neatly when the weather is good...nothing more, nothing less...the menu is ok as standard...that Price structure is quite strange... goulash soup costs over 12 euros... the main courses usually cost a good 20 euros... that doesn't make sense / is consistent and in no way technically well calculated... the service was friendly and relatively quick at the table... like the dishes too...that's fine so far...the taste was also ok...the ox cheeks were tender and prepared with a good sauce...the fried potatoes could have been fried a little crispier...the vegetables...unfortunately the same here Only as a very small side dish on a plate was it relatively overcooked...the taste was ok...as a beer, a delicious local Helles from ABK could be ordered fresh from the barrel...but all in all it was unfortunately a little average... There was a bit of a lack of love for good cooking...the ambience inside seems a little old...which wouldn't really be a bad thing if it wasn't all a bit crowded...the aisles were lined with crates of drinks etc. That all didn't make a great impression...there is room for improvement in many areas...which should be implemented urgently if you want to survive in the long term...because the number of visitors was very limited...despite a lot Motorsport event within reach...I would have expected more...🤔

Very attentive service, everything we ordered was tasty and the dishes were very decoratively presented - after all, the eye eats with it.

The reception was very friendly and warm, service was very quick, but overall everything was poor. Although we had a relatively large portion, it was poorly prepared and extremely overpriced. We had cheese spaetzle, which was ok, but I had to order an extra salad for just under 7 euros including ready-made dressing. The Jägerschnitzel unparished is a matter of taste. The croquettes were lukewarm and not very crispy. The leftovers from the Käsespätze were packed up and charged for, the packaging and the material, which I would really call a rip-off. It does not work!

The meat was warmed up, dry and hard, the fried potato was also warmed up and half cold - that used to be much better! Too bad! Hopefully things will improve again!

Wir wollten einen schönen Ferientagtag mit einem schönen Abendessen abschliessen, was leider ziemliuch daneben ging. Sehr ärgerlich. Ich hatte den marinierten Lachs auf "Rösti" mit Salat und Antipasti bestellt. Beide Essen kamen nach kürzester Zeit (was nie auf frisch gemacht hindeutet), die Rösti sahen aus wie ein kleiner TK-Kartoffelpuffer aus der Friteuse, darauf der marinierte Lachs, welcher teilweise schon grau angelaufen war. Der lieblose Salat bestand nur aus einer Sorte Blattsalat, vollkommen unmotiviert angemacht, die Antipasti bestanden nur aus kleinen gefüllten Paprikas (aus der Dose ?) und das für sehr viel Geld. Eine absolute Unverschämtheit. Die Antipasti waren geschmacklich noch das Beste. Die Bedienung war freundlich, hatte aber sprachlich Probleme. Von diesem Lokal kann man nur abraten !

Once and never again. We had Kaiserschmarrn (it was ok), Käsespätzle and Leberkäse with fried potatoes. I have never experienced that you have to order an extra (expensive) salad with cheese spaetzle. The fried potatoes felt like they had been cooked a few days ago and were just fried fresh. The prices are way too high for that! If you compare last year's menu, each dish was raised to around €3!

I had the ox cheeks (which was only one, misleading in the menu) which were good, the taste of the sauce wasn't my thing, but that's my problem. What I found very sad were the fries from my wife's burger. The fries were a three-way mix of dried out (kept warm in the oven or under the pass), normal fries and half raw fries. The waitress took notice of this but wasn't really interested. The small salad that was also ordered was actually reasonably priced and the dressing was also very tasty, but unfortunately it only consisted of iceberg lettuce which, judging by its brown color, had been cut from at least the day before.

The food was of the standard of a chip shop, but far too expensive. The service was friendly. The atmosphere was a bit old-fashioned and gave a dirty impression. Never again for us, not recommended.

Why this good rating for a rather average restaurant with typical local offerings and hearty, plentiful cuisine. I'm telling you: this is where the locals go. Because it's so normal. Because the service is nice. Because you don't have to make a reservation. And because it's actually always open. Lunch, afternoon, evening. 24/7. I feel very comfortable here and also like coming here alone. Oh, and by the way: for everyone who hates rubber buns for burgers and prefers to hear it crack when you bite: the BURGERS are unbeatable and the price is unbeatable! So: let’s go!

Wer will auch schon auf dem Weg zum WC über alte Bierkisten stolpern um dann in einem Bahnhhofsklo zu.... naja. Egal. Solche Restaurants gehören verboten. Wo ist hier das Gesundheitsamt?

We just sat in the beer garden for a beer and appetizers. Service was very nice and on the ball. Leberkaesespätzle soup was large but without any feeling in the broth....salad was quite okay. Good dressing. Beer garden is great. Okay. Now for the absolute negatives. People don't think much of hygiene. Yes, it's totally dingy. The toilet is a train station toilet. Creepy. We therefore decided not to eat there because of the exorbitant prices. And yes. Never again. I don't want to know what the kitchen looks like...

Lots of flies were buzzing around the tables!! The cheese spaetzle with onions was tasteless and the cheese could hardly be tasted. Only the salad was partly not fresh, but edible.

The friendly service staff should definitely work on their German skills. My burger was huge, but unfortunately the meat was very bland.

There will be no repeat visit to the restaurant after the last experience. I ate there two days in a row. Braised beef cheeks on the first day were good and the portion was sufficient. Unfortunately the vegetables were almost cold, but overall it was ok. The next day I had grilled pork belly with potatoes and red cabbage. The meat was old, dried out and slightly fried in old fat. Something like this no longer belongs on the plate, but should be thrown away. The service was visibly overwhelmed by my criticism. Last but not least: Card payment is advertised on the outside of the restaurant using stickers, but according to the operating staff it is not possible. I clearly have no recommendation for this restaurant.

I haven't been served such bad food in a long time. The meat was inedible. Overall, the whole menu was very poorly coordinated in terms of taste. Wasn't worth the expensive money in the slightest.

A nice little place to feel good. We were here in the spring and were excited, now it was just supposed to be something small - and what happened? A huge plate of mountain cheese soup and a beautifully decorated apple strudel with cream and lychee. Plus a good local 🍺 👍 So honestly, the soup should be something for the little ones. Being hungry is a lot for one soup 😃

Anfang November ist alles in der Betriebsruhe. Danke an den Betreiber, ich habe hier gut gegessen bei einem Kritik freien Service. Hier komme ich bestimmt auch wieder her, auch wenn andere geöffnet haben....

Wir waren hier, nachdem wir am Vortag ein wirklich schreckliches Essen in unserem Hotel aufgetischt bekommen hatten. Nach dem Essen im Salzstadlwirt waren wir wieder glücklich! Sehr nette Bedienung und das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Wenn wir Mal wieder im Allgäu sind, kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

Rustikales, alteingesessenes Restaurant mit traditionellen Gerichten! Essen war top!

Der Zwiebelrostbraten war auf dem Punkt und zart. Das Käseschnitzel war auch sagenhaft. Die Bedienungen sind super nett. Kommen wieder, war nicht das erste und letzte Mal hier 😁.

Das Essen war sehr gut (Jägerschnitzel mit Spätzle, Veggie Burger mit Pommes, Fleischkäse mit Bratkartoffeln und Spiegelei, Kaiserschmarrn), aus unserer Sicht gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, freundliches Personal - zum Glück ohne Voranmeldung Platz bekommen (Nebensaison)

Sehr leckeres Essen, nettes Servicepersonal gemütliches Stadl und einen schönen Biergarten.

Die Bergkäserahmsuppe mit Knoblauchtoast war sehr lecker und sättigend , nettes Restaurant , Preise ok.

Angenehmes Ambiente, freundliche, sehr Aufmerksame und schnelle Bedienung.

Wir waren heute 24.09.2023 gegen 17 Uhr im Restaurant. Ochsenbäkchen und Pilzravioli sowie ein kleiner Salat. Essen war einfach nur perfekt und der Service super freundlich ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Ich musste den Salat etwas nachwürzen, aber das ist bei mir normal, außer ich mache ihn selbst. Das Ambiente ist leider etwas vom tollen Essen und dem Tollen Service entfernt. Es waren sehr viele Fliegen unterwegs, die auch sehr hartnäckig waren. Für mich war es jedoch trotzdem okay da wir wissen wo wir sind. Auf dem Land und in der Natur ist das zu verstehen und zu akzeptieren. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne. Danke und alles gute.
