Schloss Mediterran in Mannheim

We traveled all the way from Frankfurt to eat at Schloss Mediterran in Mannheim, and it was absolutely worth it! The food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great care. I especially want to highlight the tiramisu; it was truly the best I've ever had! The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant, warm, and inviting, making you feel right at home. The service was consistently attentive, friendly, and professional. The owner even came by personally, was incredibly warm, and went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, a wonderful experience that we highly recommend. We will definitely be back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We spent the weekend with about 20 women at the Schloss Mediterran restaurant and were absolutely thrilled! 💫 We were given the use of a beautiful private room – completely free of charge – where we could enjoy a quiet meal together, exchange ideas, and even give a few interesting presentations on real estate topics. This hospitality is truly exceptional! The owner and his wife were incredibly friendly and helpful, the food was outstanding, and the ambiance was simply dreamy – with a large window, plenty of light, and a view of the surrounding greenery. The outdoor terrace is sure to be a highlight in the summer – right on the river, surrounded by nature. 🌿 A heartfelt thank you for the quick, uncomplicated organization and the warm hospitality. We would love to come back and wholeheartedly recommend Schloss Mediterran! 💖

We've been to your place so many times, and we feel like we're visiting friends. The food was delicious again. The terrace is a great place to relax. I would also like to thank the staff; they are all very friendly. We'll be back, of course. Thanks for the lovely evening, Yanik!

A pleasant place to end the evening. It can get very busy, so reservations are recommended, especially Friday through Sunday. Delicious Italian dishes, and the friendly staff are on the ball! We're already looking forward to our next visit.

We were there for a graduation party. Since we parents obviously don't know what the "kids" had planned, I can only give my personal opinion as an external mom who was invited. - The service was attentive, but there were far too few servers, so the few servers had to walk quite a bit. - Drinks were served from refrigerators, each with a server (since payment was made directly). - The food was served buffet-style: it started with tomato/leaf lettuce/cucumber salad and lamb's lettuce. This sat uncovered on the buffet for about 15 minutes until the dressing and serving utensils arrived. The dressing was as thick as gravy. There were two different meats (unfortunately, there were no labels, so no one knew which was pork or chicken), pasta casserole, potato wedges, and frozen oven-baked vegetables. For dessert, there was tiramisu. - Unfortunately, the service staff seemed very stressed and were running back and forth hectically. - The atmosphere in the castle hall (why it's called that is beyond me) is neither festive nor cozy. It reminds me more of a gymnasium, with the ropes and rings for gymnastics hanging from the stage. - The champagne reception took place outside. Of course, it's beautiful with the water and nature all around, but the beer garden is poorly designed. - There are plenty of parking spaces, and they're right in front of the door! So, unfortunately, I wouldn't come here privately again.

Beautiful location, right on the Neckar River and under chestnut trees. That's about all the positives. The service was neither attentive nor particularly friendly. We were left sitting for quite some time without being served. For a long time, no server was in sight, and when we were, our table was ignored. The salad wasn't great, and you had to hunt for the anchovies. All in all, very disappointing; there are better options. Also, perhaps they should consider banning cell phones in the beer garden. There was a gentleman sitting behind me who entertained the entire beer garden 🙄

Sehr gutes Essen. Auffallend schlecht war die Servicekraft: unfreundlich, gelangweilt, sogar frech! Geht gar nicht im Service. Ich möchte mich wohl fühlen als Gast. Das habe ich leider an diesem Tisch zumindest nicht. Sehr schade, denn ich werde nicht wieder kommen und auch nicht empfehlen können obwohl das Essen sehr gut war! Zum Glück gibt es genügend Konkurrenz … Gutes Essen ist nicht alles, das Ambiente ist schön aber ohne freundlichen Service gebe ich mein Geld lieber woanders aus wo ich als Gast geschätzt und freundlich behandelt werde!

Very good food. The service was noticeably poor: unfriendly, bored, and without a single smile. That's completely unacceptable in service. I want to feel comfortable as a guest. Unfortunately, I didn't at this table, at least not at that. It's a shame, because I won't be coming back and can't recommend it, even though the food was very good! Fortunately, there's plenty of competition...

I celebrated my birthday at this wonderful restaurant, and it was simply unforgettable! The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, truly making our day. All in all, it was a fantastic experience that made my birthday extra special.

Service is very friendly. The outside area is very nice, you can sit under the trees. However, I can't judge the interior because I wasn't inside. Food is delicious 😋. I had veal liver in red wine sauce with penne. The prices are also reasonable.

As always, delicious, friendly service, and reasonable prices. There are usually no parking issues here, unlike some other restaurants in MA-Seckenheim. Even though it was empty yesterday, it's always a good idea to call ahead and make a reservation. Incidentally, it's one of the few places open on Mondays.

With the boss, you get the feeling he's about to attack his guests at any moment. He's not very friendly with his staff, and the same goes for his guests. As a large group, we had agreed on an open buffet, but halfway through, the food ran out, and half the guests had to make do with pasta and leftover sauce. Many then ordered French fries to get something in their stomachs. Gastronomy isn't for everyone. If the boss is already very unfriendly and arrogant during the greeting, then you can imagine the rest. Not recommended!

This Italian restaurant impresses with a high level of service and excellent cuisine. The menu is impressively diverse - every guest will find something to their taste. The dishes taste excellent, the portions are generous, and the waiting time for the food is pleasantly short. The atmosphere invites you to linger: a cozy Italian-style interior, pleasant music in the background and attentive staff who are always ready to help. A place that lovers of Italian cuisine and first-class service should definitely visit.

We had a meal in the castle on New Year's Eve. I had a tuna steak with side dishes, my wife had a rack of veal with fresh vegetables, a dream, the meat was super tender and 😋 delicious, the fish 🐟 it couldn't be better, we were totally thrilled and the service, the boss personally was great nice and accommodating, we had a great end of the year evening, great thank you, 5 stars plus

We went there for dinner at Christmas. I ordered fish for €31.50. For this price you would actually expect fresh goods. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. I felt really bad a total of 2 days after eating the fish. Nausea, stomach cramps and pain. We will never enter the restaurant again. Other dishes, for example veal, were not properly cooked and the potato wedges were floating in fat. In my opinion this restaurant is not recommended.

It was the second time I was there in the next room with company. Great food, great service unlike the first time. There are enough parking spaces available.

The most beautiful spot in Seckenheim. Or even the only beautiful one. They make great Hugos, the Aperols are good too. We also ate there now, pizza and pasta, it was really good. The food also came extremely quickly. Are very satisfied.

Nach der Bestellung bei der Servicekraft wurden die Getränke und das Essen dann vom Chef persönlich gebracht: Er redete kein einzigste Wort! Hingeknallt und das gleiche dann wieder rueckwaerts. Kaum zu glauben, aber wahr. Nie wieder Schloss Mediterran Seckenheim.

We sat outside. The only negative point was the smokers at the neighboring table, which hindered the enjoyment of the meal.

It's a shame that you can't give less than one star for service. We sat for 45 minutes until we got our drinks and the menu and said we wanted something to eat. Then no one came anymore. We were no longer noticed. After 1:40 hours we put the money on the table because no one came to pay and left. The glasses and the money were picked up about 30 seconds later 🤢 This is/was by far the worst service I have ever experienced and they will never see me again. Thanks for nothing.

Pizzas were good. Salmon noodles taste good but not enough salmon. Veal liver in red wine sauce with pasta was very good. When it came to service, no particular effort was made to come into courteous contact with the guest. Overall seemed a bit apathetic. After a mishap (wheat glass tipped over on serving tray and subsequent beer shower on my T-shirt), the replacement wheat beer was not on the bill, but there was no confident reaction from the restaurant. E.g. No towels or napkins handed out to dry, no apology from the boss, just embarrassed silence. Given the number of guests present at the time, it took a little too long for the food to arrive. The food was good overall, but the service still has room for improvement.

Had a pasta dish with some cheese on it, then ordered some extra parmesan. But it was some grated cheese but not parmesan. Actually it doesn't work at all.

Ordered pizza was very good, can't complain. Pizza is as big as the pizza plate. The beer garden is beautifully located. Service very attentive. Unfortunately, criticism is the price. I could be mistaken, but €13.50 for pizza is a bit high. I would still come back. Lg

With five tables occupied and two not cleared and the kitchen still closed...

Pizzas 1A, very tasty. Steaks a bit too expensive. Nice service and very nice terrace with a great view of the Neckar.

First of all: This was the tastiest pizza I have ever eaten outside of Italy. We had a table with a view of the Neckar. We shared the salad as a starter. We also got two extra plates without any problem. Since we were there during the chef's lunch break, we could only order salad and pizza. This pizza was absolutely top notch. The salad ingredients were also of the best quality. We really look forward to eating there again soon!

you could say "there's a little more going on here". The location itself would be much more attractive, unfortunately the ambience around it is relatively bland. Hardly any decoration, hardly any plants, there's somehow a lack of Mediterranean flair... it's a shame... The pizzas we ordered were "okay", as was the service and the positive thing is that there is plenty of free parking right in front of the restaurant.

Wir kommen nicht oft nach Mannheim/Seckenheim. Jetzt war es mal soweit. Ich kramte aus meinem Gedächtnis diesen Biergarten heraus. Er hatte schon um ca. 17:00 geöffnet. Mit Parkscheibe konnte man im nahegelegenen Parkplatz unter Bäumen 4 (!) Std parken. Wir setzten uns direkt an die Balustrade mit Blick auf den Neckar unter uns. Wir erspähten einen Reiher am Flussrand und einen putzigen Salamander auf der Terrassenmauer. Es gab eine kleine Weinkarte und die üblichen Getränke, wie zB. Warsteiner Pils. Alles zu zivilen Preisen ähnlich denen in Weinheim. Ich hatte die Nr.1 von der Seite mit den Tagesempfehlungen: ein Salat mit gebratenen Gambas und Champignons. Am Nachbartisch gab's Pizza Diavolo und Pizza Chef. Alles zur Zufriedenheit der (hier) jungen Gäste. Wir bezahlten bar. Es gab keine Rechnung: "heute Kartenzahlung nicht möglich" stand auf einem Zettel am Eingang zum Restaurant. Ein Schelm, der sich dabei was denkt ;)

The restaurant is more Italian than Mediterranean. The food is really very good and you can tell straight away that everything is freshly prepared and the quality is very good. The selection of food and drinks is sufficient. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is highly recommended.

Had a very negative experience here. There were two of us and we wanted to sit at a free table by the window, whereupon the waitress directed us to a table for two right next to the toilet, boldly claiming that all other free tables were reserved. I don't need to point out that no one used these "reserved" tables during our entire stay in the restaurant. The food itself was okay, normal Italian cuisine.

Super friendly staff, the food was very tasty and the atmosphere was like a little vacation from everyday life 😉... Were here again yesterday, like every time after our short vacation and thrilled with the friendly staff, the delicious food and the fantastic atmosphere.. . So high quality and thumbs up... As usual!

After a very quick confirmation of our online reservation, we received a very friendly welcome the following day. There are plenty of parking spaces nearby for guests as well as a bicycle rack. Around 350 guests can sit here indoors and outdoors, and WiFi can be used upon request. The service is super fast, the food is delicious at moderate prices, all in all a pleasant experience.

Ambience nice. We sat outside. I ordered tortellini. The plate was only half full, a very small portion for a main course. Re-ordering drinks also took forever, even though the beer garden wasn't fully occupied, they simply didn't proactively look for our table or ask. Very disappointing, so this was our first and last visit.

Wir waren dort zu einer Familienfeier nach Voranmeldung. Es war eine reine Katastrophe die Getränkebestellung lief schleppend und war fehlerhaft, die bestellte Lasagne war kalt und wurde dann eingesammelt und später wieder ausgeteilt. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt in keinster Weise. Die Preise sind eher im höheren Segment anzusiedeln, die Leistung war unterirdisch.

We were here on a Sunday evening and despite the lovely weather there wasn't much going on. Nevertheless, we waited for over an hour for our four pizzas and watched as several customers who arrived after us were served before us. Unfortunately, when the pizzas came, we realized that the wait wasn't worth it. The pizzas were in the oven too long, the crust was very hard, the cheese was very dark. Overall we were very annoyed, also about the poor service. After such a long wait, you could have at least apologized for it... It's nice to sit outside on the terrace, but it's not worth it for that alone.

I'm excited. We made a reservation here today and the food was simply great. Together with the "Golden Angel" it is the best restaurant in Seckenheim, even though there are many good restaurants here (e.g. Prinz Max, Weingärtner, Badischer Hof, Okami, etc.). The ambience is also excellent!

We were invited here for dinner this evening. The parking situation is positive (lots of space). The waitresses were all very friendly and I really liked the atmosphere. The food and drink was very tasty. Unfortunately the restaurant is not in my catchment area, otherwise we would come by more often. 😉 Addendum July 16th, 2023: very satisfied today too....Also today: February 25th, 2024...we were satisfied.

We had reserved and the reservation was confirmed. When we were there they said it was a closed society and we were sent away without an apology. Not even a drinks voucher or anything similar was offered as an apology. I'm speechless

The atmosphere is appealing, which is also due to the building, and the staff is friendly and attentive. However, the food was rather disappointing, as I expected much more in terms of taste and appearance. It is also very loud due to the acoustics (strong reverb) and I found it a bit tiring after a while. It's ok to go out for a quick bite to eat in the evening.

Waren am 11.11.23 mit größerer Gruppe im Nebenzimmer. Essen gut bis auf den Meeresfrüchtesalat, den ich und noch jemand als Vorspeise hatten. Unter ferner liefen, keine Empfehlung. Hatte mit Meeresfrüchte wenig zu tun. Paar Garnelen und dafür mehr Surimi (Krabben-, Garnelenersatz). Weiterhin war der Service überfordert (falsche Essensausgabe, lange Wartezeit auf Nachlieferung etc.). So, keine Empfehlung. Aber vielleicht war es auch nur der falsche Tag. Wie schon gesagt: Essen ansonsten gut.

Ziemlich klein und eng. Löcher im Leder ( mit Abklebeband überklebt) Stühle stehen sehr eng aufeinander. Geräuschpegel sehr hoch , Mir hat Gemütlichkeit und Ambiente gefehlt. Essen naja. Lasagne sehr trocken. Hat nicht selbstgemacht geschmeckt

Sehr sehr tolles Restaurant, super leckeres Essen und sehr freundlicher Service.

Essen war gut, jedoch waren nach vorheriger telefonischer Absprache mit dem Patrone persönlich, dort um "probe" zu essen, uns die Örtlichkeiten anzuschauen, etc. Unseren Termin hatte ich vorsorglich blockieren lassen. Nach Begrüßung durch den Patrone und nochmals Nennen des Termines haben wir ganz gut gegessen. Danach wollten wie den Termin fix machen und alles besprechen. Erst dann teilte er uns mit dass unser Termin nicht möglich wäre. Wir fühlten uns total verschaukelt und haben uns sehr geärgert. Sehr schlechte Organisation!!!

Heerlijke salade als lunch. Avonds teruggekomen voor een heerlijke Italiaanse pasta. Ligt mooi rustig aan de rivier de Neckar, heel mooi terras, maar ook een net restaurant. Prettige bediening.

Die schönste Terasse Seckenheims mit Blick auf den Neckar, der gemischte Vorspeisenteller mit Frutti di Mare, Caprese , verschieden Gemüsen und Vitello Tonnato war GENIAL und nur zu empfehlen. Ich hatte Kalbsfleisch in Gorgonzolasauce und bekam vorher ein Beilagensalat dazu, was ich Super fand war das ich die zweite Beilage wählen konnte, zur Wahl gab es Rosmarin Kartoffeln, Kroketten, Nudeln oder Pommes. Echt klasse wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben Hausgemachte Lasagne mit Lachs und Spinat gegessen. Geschmacklich war es gut, allerdings den Lachs mussten wir suchen. Exakt 2 winzige Stückchen hatten wir jeweils gefunden. Die Schale, worin es serviert wurde, sah nicht appetitlich aus. Als wir dem Kellner unsere Enttäuschung mitteilten, brachte uns dieser als Entschuldigung 2 Stück Tiramisu, was auch gut war. Noch ein Besuch muss nicht sein! Die Terrasse ist sehr schön, Bedienung war sehr freundlich und Parkplätze gab es auch.
