We had a fantastic evening! We simply gave the chef free rein, and it was amazing. Every dish was a hit. On top of that, the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. You can tell that they work with a lot of passion and attention to detail.

Excellent restaurant Super friendly The meze are highly recommended, and the steak dishes on the menu were also excellent and tender. Even if you just want to drink a Greek wine, you can do so perfectly on the terrace in front of the restaurant.

How wonderful that you don't have to travel to Greece to experience the hospitality of the southern Mediterranean with exquisite dishes. If you're looking for more than just a mixed grill, then Kritos is the place for you! Great atmosphere, equally great hosts, and an equally great menu. Recommendation: dry-aged steak... or moussaka... or tartar solomu... or, or, or... whatever, everything is delicious! Sorry for the blurry photos, just make a reservation and enjoy the real thing!

We've never been there before and we were absolutely thrilled! We received a personal welcome, as if they'd been waiting for us. The food was simply amazing... the downside was that you wouldn't want to stop. Super friendly hosts, with great timing between courses. This definitely won't be our last visit.

Im Kritos wird man sehr herzlich vom gleichnamigen Inhaber empfangen. Das Essen ist griechisch und sehr schmackhaft. Es ist auch gehoben und nicht wie beim “08/15 Griechen”. Zusätzlich gibt es auch eine recht große Weinauswahl, vor allem auch an griechischen Weinen. Das Interior ist sehr ansprechend und modern gestaltet. Von den Meze (kleine bis mittelgroße Gerichte) kann man besonders die Lammhackröllchen in Fladenbrot und den Rinderschmortopf empfehlen! Bei den Hauptgerichten hatten wir das super leckere Kaninchen. Die Steaks aus dem dry ager haben wir nicht probiert, sahen aber auch super aus. Einziger Nachteil/Kritikpunkt ist die Lage direkt an einer Hauptstraße, die es relativ laut und trubelig macht. Auf jeden Fall spürt man aber die Liebe und Gastfreundschaft! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Sehr, sehr gut. Die Steaks sind sensationell, aber die Mezze sind unfassbar lecker. Ich liebe diese kleinen Teller, die man unter Freunden teilen kann. Besondere Empfehlung: die Fisch Meze. Dass der Wein schmeckt und die Menschen dort sehr freundlich sind, ist natürlich auch nicht übel. Ach, die Vorspeisen nicht vergessen und vorher vielleicht zum Whisky Laden um die Ecke.

Here at Kritos Meze & Wine Bar, you'll find modern Greek cuisine. The meze selection is large and extensive. The ingredients are high-quality and delicious. This isn't a Germanized version of Greek cuisine, but rather a taste of authentic Greek cuisine. They also offer delicious dry-aged steaks. The selection of Greek wines and other spirits, such as ouzo, is also diverse. The meze variations start at around €10...of course, they're delicious and a feast for the palate. To have a good, sufficient selection of dishes on the table, you should expect to spend around €100 per person. The dessert selection is also very good. We'd be happy to come back.

We visited Kritos for the first time based on a recommendation. We immediately felt very comfortable. A small, fine restaurant with a Mediterranean flair. Everyone was greeted with a handshake. The service was attentive and fast. The menu stands out from the classic "German" Greek restaurant. Very authentic dishes, just like we experienced in Greece. The taste is simply delicious. We rediscovered Greek cuisine for ourselves in Germany. This restaurant is a must-visit if you value good food. We give it 5 stars+

A wonderful Greek restaurant with excellent meze (Greek tapas). The welcome is very friendly and warm, and you immediately feel at home. We had a lovely evening with family and can wholeheartedly recommend Kristos.

A restaurant where you can ignore the menu and tell the owner you'll leave the decision to him. I don't do that often, and it's often not accepted. Here, we didn't regret it. The food was excellent in terms of taste and quality, and the value for money (approx. €85 for two people including four glasses of wine) impressed us, as did the wine selection. If you're looking for a Greek restaurant with a difference, far from gyros and fries, but the equivalent of Spanish tapas, this is the place to be. The interior design is also very special and perfectly rounds off the great overall concept. We've been here several times over the years since the first review in 2022 and have always been very impressed (last time in June 2025).

We have spent 7 years since moving to Germany (my husband moving back to Germany) looking for a good Greek restaurant. Finally we have found a GREAT one. From the minute you enter Kritos the warm hospitality and fantastic ambience greet you and make you feel so welcome. The food is outstanding. Greek Meze with fresh and wonderful ingredients, beautifully presented and full of flavour. Will definitely be back.

This Greek restaurant definitely stands out from all other Greek restaurants in Mannheim. They strive for elegance and sophistication. The aging cabinet and the presentation of meat directly to the guests make a statement, no question. For starters: We had CHTAPODI SKARAS | Grilled Octopus G,D FLAT PEA PUREE | BEETROOT MOUSSE CARAMELIZED ONIONS €24.50 This was truly magnificent. The flavors were perfectly balanced and beautifully presented. However, the portion size and price are debatable. We thought the price was too high for the portion. The moussaka portion was also manageable. The flavor was bland and otherwise not worth mentioning. I've had better. €22.90 for this small portion, solid. The only thing that's a bit pricey is the price. My crispy chicken drumsticks in a Greek cheese sauce with kritharaki pasta were again completely unseasoned, the sauce was tasteless, and the chicken drumsticks were anything but crispy. The owner is a great guy. Funny, friendly, and accommodating. But that unfortunately doesn't make up for the disappointment of the food. If you're going for something fancy and special, it has to be reflected in the taste. With tip and two glasses of Coke (0.2l) for two people, it came to €85.00. It was an experience. Despite the friendly service and the owner, I won't be going back to Kritos. Thanks anyway for your kindness.

This was our first time at Kritos Meze & Wine Bar and we were warmly welcomed by the chef himself – a wonderful start to the evening! Even though the kitchen was already closed, an exception was made for us – exceptional service that is rarely experienced these days. The rump steak was grilled to perfection and tasted simply divine – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The recommended wine was also an absolute delight and perfectly rounded off the culinary experience. The ambiance of the bar is sensational – stylish, cozy, and designed with great attention to detail. Everything is just right here: hospitality, quality, and atmosphere. The best Greek restaurant in Germany!

Das Motto der Lokalität: ‚Der etwas andere Grieche`, DAS BESTE ESSEN - FÜR DIE BESTEN KUNDEN`. Eher: Das teuerste Essen für zahlungswillige/fähige Kunden. Und….nicht nur das Essen ist teuer. Auch die Getränkepreise halten mit. Trotz vorbestelltem Tisch noch 20 Minuten plus an der Theke in engstem Raum aneinandergedrückt rumgestanden. Kein Drink aufs Haus o.ä. währenddessen angeboten bekommen. Die Preise für die Steaks werden per Gewicht berechnet und sind dementsprechend hochpreisig.(z.B. 100 g Rib Eye Steak = € 15,40). So schlug das Rib Eye Steak mit € 46,20 zu Buche. Das gegrillte Gemüse und die Kartoffeln lagen weit unter den Erwartungen. Die Lammkoteletts für € 35,90 mit Kartoffeln und gegrilltem Gemüse (was sonst) waren Durchschnitt und bestachen weder durch Quantität noch durch Qualität….. Tzaziki für € 7,50 teuer (war woanders geschmacklich besser und preisgünstiger), Kolokithakia Zucchini € 13,40, na ja, Sardellen für € 12,90 ),so lala , Kalamarakia (fritierte Tintenfische) € 14,90(,kein Geschmackshighlight). Die Getränkepreise sind auch nicht zimperlich egal ob mit oder ohne Alkohol z.B. 0,2 ltr. Limo für € 3,50, Notios Wein für 0,2 ltr. € 7,50. Das Restaurant ist laut, eng und wenig gemütlich. Service ist okay. Muss wirklich nicht mehr sein.

Wir waren noch nicht mal richtig drin im Laden und wurden schon direkt sehr herzlich begrüßt. Eine Flasche Wein bestellt,griechische Musik im Hintergrund und der Abend konnte nur gut anfangen. Mit den Vorspeisen haben wir uns überraschen lassen.Er brachte uns 5 verschiedene Gerichte und ich hätte mich rein legen können. Geschmacklich absolut top! Das Niveau dort ist wirklich hoch und der Preis absolut gerechtfertigt für so eine top Qualität. Ich würde auch mehr zahlen. Hauptgang und Nachspeise waren ebenso ein Traum. Ich wohne in Marbella und würde mir so einen Top Griechen dort wünschen. Weiter so Kritos!

The completely different Greek. Handcrafted and very high quality preparation. Unusual presentation of the dishes in keeping with the need to bring the details to life. At the forefront of everything, food, olive oil from “Hello Greece” (my absolute favorite olive oil), selection of drinks and the preparation of hot coffee drinks. Stay as true to yourself as you are now!

What to say about Kritos? Don't walk...run to Kritos...it is fantastic. It is our 3rd time dining here and every time has been memorable. First -- Kritos himself and his staff welcome you like you are family. It is clear from the moment you walk in the door that you are part of the family with the warm welcome. Second -- The service level and attentiveness are top quality. The team of waitstaff, bartender and chefs are attuned to your requests and ready to provide recommendations when you need help with the menu and/or wine choices. For tonight, our waiter made fantastic wine recommendations paired wonderfully with our meal. Third and finally -- The food! From the meze appetizers to the main course (steak) we were impressed again with the quality of the menu. We are from Texas and the quality of the steaks here would 'WOW' anyone from our home state. I highly recommend the ribeye custom-cut from Kritos himself. Grilled to perfection as medium rare. We had our oldest son in town (native born Texan) and his first word after one bite was 'WOW.' He loved it. Looking forward to our next meal here. Fantastic food and wonderful hospitality.

An evening with strong service and culinary potential: The service was impeccable - attentive, charming and always present. The starters were appealing, although the taste was rather solid. The main courses were convincing in terms of taste, even if the moussaka was a bit lukewarm and the game goulash was too salty. It's a shame that the dishes came with a delay. There is still a bit of room for improvement in prices here. Overall, definitely recommended! ☺️

Very unusual Greek restaurant for German standards. Focus on dishes that actually exist in Greece, so much more than the typical meat platters. Very nice staff and tasteful interior. Table reservation in advance is definitely necessary.

For people with Greek roots, this is a piece of home in Mannheim. The taste of many dishes reminds me of my grandmother. I read a review here "if you're expecting a classic Greek, you're in the wrong place" and had to smile a bit because that's exactly what you'll find here.. also "classic" Greek food and non-Germanized dead grilled meat.. keep it up! It's great what you offer in terms of service and what you bring to the plate!!

The Kritos restaurant in Mannheim is an absolute discovery for me and undoubtedly the best Greek restaurant in the area. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by the boss personally, which immediately created a very welcoming atmosphere. The service was extremely attentive and friendly throughout the evening, without seeming intrusive. However, the highlight was definitely the food. Every course was a taste explosion - unusual dishes that surprised not only with their excellent quality, but also with creative combinations and new tastes. From classic Greek flavors to modern interpretations, it was all there and simply delicious. If you want to experience authentic Greek cuisine at the highest level, you can't ignore Kritos. A clear recommendation!
