If you like good cuisine in a special environment, this is the right place for you. There are weekly changing beers that are recommended. Cozy atmosphere, very special with cult status and a pinch of humor. The Schäfele are really consistently delicious and are worth a visit. You should definitely reserve a table because it is sometimes extremely full, which only speaks for the good quality

The best Schäufele far and wide. I liked it very much. You can have a great meal there, especially with larger groups, if you have a reservation. It is conveniently located not far from the main train station and can also be reached by tram. The staff is very friendly and very good. The food convinces me to go there again.

I was quite happy with everything. Meat tender as butter. Dumplings top. Personally, the Schäufeles sauce was a bit too watery for me and could have used more seasoning. Still a great evening with good beer!

The food is extremely tasty and the portions are large enough (although I would personally prefer to eat two straight away). In addition, the staff is very friendly, it is clean and simply has a suitable and nice atmosphere. My girlfriend and I always enjoy eating here!

Six of us were at Schäufelewärtscschaft on Thursday evening and had a really tasty meal there. There was a large table outside in the quiet beer garden where we were quickly served drinks and then excellent dishes from Franconian cuisine. The boss served us very attentively and friendly, the food was plentiful, reasonably priced and really good. We will definitely be here again the next time we visit Nuremberg.

We were here Friday evening last week. Since there were 7 of us, we made reservations in advance, which worked out great. We were greeted very friendly. We sat outside in the garden. The drinks were brought quickly. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. Everything looked very good and tasted very good. The prices were great. The only thing we missed was the demand for another drink.

The Schäuferle was good but too expensive, as was the beer 🍺 I will go back to the inn in Altenfelden in the future. Excellent cuisine especially the Schäuferle for €13.90 and the beer 🍺 for €3.20

We are here at the NBG for the course and chose this restaurant. Schäufele is very tender, slips off the bone, food was at the table very quickly, service was very friendly, highly recommended.

Classic ambience, super tasty Schäufele, top beers and with the special beer there is always a bit of variety. I like to come here when I'm in the area or if I drive off the highway.

Just outside of the city center. There are Schäufele, large and Resch every day. Dumplings a little firm. Red cabbage tasted very well. Prices OK (approx. 13€). We will be back. And we came back on 7/28/24 and were disappointed. We had to wait over 30 minutes for the drinks. Our neighbors arrived 45 minutes after us, but got their food before us. A waiter said he couldn't help it, the kitchen was divided. Another said it was because of the different foods. Only our neighbors all had the same thing, Schäufele (now 16.50). Sorry, but the organization isn't working either way, although the service is very friendly. Talking to guests about vacation instead of placing their drink orders first isn't possible when the store is full. Others even waited 1.5 hours for their food. No longer recommended.

Everything was great. Price performance a 10/10. The only disturbing factor were the dung flies in the beer garden while we were eating. Otherwise great. Food and beer were delicious.

We can highly recommend the food to anyone who doesn't find an hour and a half waiting time too long. The excuse that the kitchen cannot cope with the onslaught is unreasonable. Then the number of places must be limited.

Very tasty Schäufele. Juicy, tender and very large. Had to deduct 1 star because unfortunately there was no salad for a relatively expensive price. Plus, a beer at €4.50 is almost cheeky.

I ate here at lunchtime. For health reasons, I eat a vegetarian diet and therefore cannot enjoy the Franconian classics from Schäufelewärts. So I can't rate this. After eating, I still had to catch my train at the main station, which is why my facial expressions as a guest were perhaps a little rougher. I would therefore like to use this comment to explicitly praise the service staff for their great work. I was served quickly and efficiently and in a very friendly and attentive manner. The young lady asked me several times if everything was okay or if I needed anything else. I was very satisfied with this service. This is exactly what you want as a guest! Keep it up!!! To be fair, however, it must be said that only three tables were occupied in the entire restaurant. The next time I am in Nuremberg, I would like to visit this traditional, charming restaurant again.

The food was absolutely tasteless and really bad-looking. I ordered a dish with mushrooms and a weird bread ball. It looked terrible and tasted like it looked. DO NOT GO

Finally down-to-earth food again!! We ate Schäufele with dumplings and Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad. The Schäufele with a delicious, crispy crust was excellent. The schnitzel was huge, very tasty, crispy breading. Good potato salad. This portion could easily be eaten by two people. Friendly and nice service. The toilets clean and well maintained. Gladly again

For the prices quoted (€16.50), I think the small Schäufele with thin sauce, sticky dumpling and no other side dish is just average at the moment. Meat quality good. Crust not always good. Service was very nice, but totally understaffed and therefore very slow.

The food is delicious. The Schäuferle has the perfect sauce, but the Klos wasn't my thing but that's a very personal taste. I have to deduct one star because unfortunately there are no fries for children. The service was very friendly but one waitress for the bar and service wasn't enough and so it took longer. Unfortunately I only have to give the service one star for friendliness but give it 0 stars for hygiene. The extremely long plastic fingernails are simply unhygienic in the catering sector.

The expectations were of course high. The food was also very good. All I missed at the end was the final whistle. The crust could have been a little crispier and the sauce could have been a little stronger. This is of course subjective. Unfortunately, the side salad I ordered didn't come. But it wouldn't be charged either. So everything is fine. So test it yourself 🙂

Down-to-earth, tasty, and reasonably priced. If you want to enjoy typical Franconian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere, this is the right place for you. We were very satisfied.

We had reserved for 10 people and were accommodated in the basement. It smelled moldy here, like an old cellar (mold?). The service seemed annoyed and the food was lukewarm. The Schäufele were tender, but half consisted of fat. The roast pork was laced with fatty flax that you could hardly chew and didn't want to. That was kind of gross. When clearing up, the waitress asked us to pass the dirty plates from one person to the other. He was probably too lazy to do his own work. To pay we had to go upstairs and wait 10 minutes until someone was available for us. There are some restaurants in this price range that can do it better. No, we don't have to do that to ourselves anymore!
