We had reserved a table for three people three weeks in advance, only to end up alone in a remote corner of an annex – simply unacceptable. The service was very helpful and friendly, but the rude and arrogant owner refused to seat the three of us at a table for four in the main area. The food was very good, but the portions were far too small for the relatively high price. After the (highly recommended) cabaret show with Sigi Zimmerschied in the same building, we stayed for a drink, but the cocktails weren't particularly good. We're giving the stars for the very friendly service. If the owner were different, or if his poor organization and the food were more in line with the price, we would gladly eat there again. However, we will certainly be happy to return to Sigi Zimmerschied's cabaret show.

Yesterday, I had dinner with my wife at ScharfrichterHaus in Passau. As always, it was a culinary delight, with a great atmosphere and excellent service. Even when I was at school more than 40 years ago, I loved going to the ScharfrichterHaus. I'd especially like to recommend the Bohemian-Bavarian classic, Svickova, on the menu. The only culinary shortcoming is that there is no Bavarian beer.

A very pleasant atmosphere. A cultural pub with a very nice dining room and a great courtyard with seating. Friendly and competent service. The food and drinks are good and creative. Definitely recommended.

The food wasn't bad, but the service was hopelessly overwhelmed and ill-informed. The dish we were supposedly out of was then served to the next table. We actually wanted dessert, but it took so long that we decided not to bother.

We popped in spontaneously without a reservation and weren't turned away despite the restaurant being full. Thanks to the proprietor and some friendly guests who made room for us at their tables, we were able to stay and eat very well. I'd been there a few years ago and was satisfied then, too. It's nice that the quality and friendliness have been maintained.

When we went downstairs, we met a waiter who reacted very aggressively and was very, very unfriendly and immediately kicked us out. An absolute must-visit during a stay in Passau: a very winding building with excellent dishes (e.g., pheasant, wild boar, lamb, Duroc pork, fish) and a large bar (the selection of gin and spirits is particularly noteworthy). A covered courtyard invites you to linger, and outside there's a terrace with a view of the fortress towering high above the Danube. Competent and friendly service.

Known for its long tradition of Bavarian cabaret, we decided to have dinner there one evening. We were truly impressed by the quality of the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the ambiance. This is the kind of place that really deserves six stars. We'd love to come back.

Very attentive, friendly service. We enjoyed our meal. However, we waited an hour for our food. We weren't sure why, as the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we deducted points.

A definite recommendation in Passau. Great food, great atmosphere. The restaurant downstairs was full, so we had to move to the wine bar. This impresses with its great ambiance and peaceful atmosphere, with a fireplace adding to the coziness.

Ate super tasty venison burger, super tasty carp. The asparagus portion was a bit small. The fact that the waitress didn't know what cooked ham was was a bit strange; It's a bit of a shame that she wasn't so attentive.

I can do that 100%! If you want to have a great, pleasant evening and go to a cabaret or concert, then you've come to the right place!!! You just have to be quick, good things sell out quickly!

The service staff is friendly, but there are too few waiters for the size of the restaurant. We waited 20 minutes for three drinks, which is unacceptable. However, the vaulted ceiling is very beautiful and overall it feels very cozy. We didn't eat because we were there for a performance.

There are no blues here; at least not on the menu, top dishes - whether a little more unusual or classic. Products, mostly regional and of excellent quality, are presented on the plate in a very pleasant atmosphere, both to the eye and to the taste buds. Attention to quality and detail that you can taste and feel. A courteous service and a host who knows how to be an excellent host: a place to feel good and enjoy!

Reservierung online perfekt geklappt und am ersten Werktag bestätigt worden. Gemütlich im Kellerlokal platziert worden. Warme Atmosphäre. Steirisches Backhendl und Ente zweierlei waren hervorragend von Portion und Geschmack. Dazu leckere Stiegl-Biere und Pilsner Urquell vom Fass. Sehr angenehmer und freundlicher Service

Sehr akkurate und trotz vollem Laden, aufmerksame Kellner. Die Speisen waren allerdings unterdurchschnittlich. Der Rahmbraten war absolut trocken, Gottseidank war die Rahmsauce dabei. Bei der Leber waren wir uns nicht sicher bis es sich um die versprochene Kalbsleber handelte da sie deutlich nach Schwein schmeckte.

Pizza quite good. The cake was good, although my husband had half of it really burnt. The accessories are poor! I was looking for olives, not to mention ham. She would probably have been richer during the Communist era. Personally, I buy ready-made pizza and add whatever my heart desires at home! Ie pay 15 euros! If someone is very hungry, it's ok. They can eat and overpay.

We went to the cinema and saw a very nice film in a wonderful atmosphere. A small, cozy cinema with a very good selection of films, gladly again.

The girl who served us was very friendly and professional . The pumpkin soup was delicious . The fries that came with the deer burger were cold but tasty . The fish was also very nicely cooked .

The saddle of venison in pumpkin breading with cabbage pastries was a dream.

Im Scharfrichterhaus, das lt. verendeter Glasuntersetzer Lust an der Kopflosigkeit machen möchte, macht Lust auf (Achtung Wortspiel!) Gerichtsbarkeit. Die Karte ist - Gott sei Dank - übersichtlich (es gibt auch eine Saisonkarte), und das, was auf den Tisch kommt, ist wirklich richtig gut: ob Rehburger oder ein Kotelett vom Duroc. Richtig Klasse! Auch die Beilagen: Top! Man kann gerade bei den Kleinigkeiten so viel falsch machen, aber hier stimmt alles. Auch der Preis sowie der Service. Vielleicht liegt’s an der Angst vor dem Scharfrichter ;-)

Sehr nette Location! Personal freundlich und schnell. Essen war leider nur teilweise zufriedenstellend. Forelle war etwas lieblos zubereitet um nicht zu sagen geschmacklos. Krapfen hingegen eine Empfehlung.

We haven't experienced such unfriendly service in a long time. The food was really not bad, freshly cooked, but from the first second the service was passive aggressive towards us and made us feel that we were simply not welcome as guests. After this experience, I really can't recommend the restaurant.

Good food, nice ambience and nice service. We had a gazpacho, a schnitzel with potatoes and a fried chicken salad. The executioner is known for its schnitzel and once again it was first class. The gazpacho was good, as was the fried chicken salad, although I would use a little less dressing because it ended up getting really sour, otherwise it was great. In the end we paid €59.10, which is absolutely ok.

An excellent song evening with classically evil Kreisler&Co songs, performed with remarkable charm by Anna Veit accompanied by Michael Gumpinger. The previous meal in the executioner's house was VERY GOOD with draft beer accompaniment. The entire ambience has been very tastefully renovated on different levels. We will be back soon!!

I heard this is an Austrian-style restaurant🍴 The best one recommended by a friend is Schnitzel, which is indeed well-deserved. The steak🥩 is also delicious. It comes with French fries, salad and grilled vegetables. The portion is very generous. There are many choices of drinks, but the seats are a bit small.

I hope the main course of the season menu “Duroc crown steak from Styria with wild garlic and potato gratin with grilled vegetables, salad, herb butter and jus” will be included in the classics, I have rarely eaten so well! I had nothing to complain about during my visit. 100% recommendation! (The pancakes usually come with ice cream, I ordered without)

About the two starters: Beef broth with liver dumplings The liver dumplings were not suitable for a restaurant. Almost no taste, no spices. Beef broth with fried dumplings The fried dumplings were okay, but not tasty. You didn't taste much of it. I didn't taste any beef KRAFT broth in either soup. All in all very poor About the two main courses: Pink fried deer burger with juniper sauce, red onions and tomatoes, with French fries and a small salad The fries were good. The burger itself was okay. Unfortunately the amount of juniper sauce was too much. This took almost all of the flavor away from the rest. The best part of the dish was the salad. Styrian fried chicken and cream cucumbers with pulled lettuce in homemade salad dressing and pumpkin seed oil Unfortunately, only individual fillets were taken out of the chicken, as if it were chicken schnitzel/fillets. The meat was dry. With (Styrian) fried chicken, the whole chicken is actually rinsed, dried, divided into several pieces and, if necessary, skinned. The chicken pieces are seasoned with salt, rolled in flour, dipped in beaten eggs and then rolled in breadcrumbs. We didn't order a salad but instead a fried chicken. The Styrian fried chicken salad is prepared in the same way, with the difference that the chicken pieces are cut slightly smaller. The breading was delicious. The best was the salad again. We generally expected a little more. The ambience is really nice

Great place with a lot of history

Schönes Ambiente, leckere Cocktails, freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen der anderen Gäste sah auch gut aus. Wir hatten einen schönen Konzertabend und kommen sicher wieder.

Sehr privates Ambiente, bei Vorstellungen. Dieses Mal habe ich auch dort gegessen ein toller Abend, schnuckelig und romantisch. Trendiges Publikum.

Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut, jedoch leider nur lauwarm. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, wenn auch etwas eng.

Wir waren die Ersten um 17:00 Uhr im Lokal. Der Empfang war total herzlich und nett. Da fast alle Tische bereits reserviert waren, brachte uns eine der netten Kellnerinnen an einen freien Tisch. Die Atmosphäre im Lokal war sehr nett, trotz vollem Haus war es nicht zu laut, man konnte sich sehr gut unterhalten. Das Essen und die Getränke sind hervorragend aber den Vogel schoßen die beiden Kellnerinnen ab. Die Mädels haben ihr Geschäft voll in der Hand, obwohl Studentinnen, also kein gelerntes Personal, konnte Sie nichts aus der Ruhe bringen – einfach klasse! Immer wieder gerne –– sehr nett!

So, als erstes das Essen war ok, aber der Service absolut unterirdisch. Arrogant, keinerlei gastronomische Erfahrung und lügnerisch, da der zuerst in Besitz genommene Tisch ,lt. Bedienung reserviert gewesen wäre, sich dies jedoch als falsch heraus stellte. Auch zu Zeiten von Personalknappheit sollte man als renommierte Passauer Institution darauf achten, dass das Personal der Qualität der angebotenen Produkte entspricht.

Achtung: Die Internetreservierung wurde um 11:30 für 18:00 nicht angesehen, besser ist der Anruf oder entsprechender Vorlauf. Wir haben trotzdem einen Platz bekommen 👍. Wiener Schnitzel und veggieburger waren sehr gut. Schön angerichtet und auch für hungrige ausreichend. Dazu ein süffiges alkoholfreies Weizen 👌der Service schnell, aufmerksam und sehr freundlich und kompetent. Übriges lokal und dann noch 2 Std. Zimmerschied. 👌🤩

Sehr freundliche Bedienung, und obwohl alles reserviert war, bekam ich noch einen Platz an einem kleinen Tisch. Der Wildschweinburger war hervorragend, das helle Bier, was ich dazu trank, ebenfalls. Es wurde immer wieder nachgefragt, ob ich noch etwas benötigte, das ist sehr guter und aufmerksamer Service! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut, gerne wieder!

Ganz große Empfehlung! Wirklich sehr sehr leckeres Essen zu einem guten Preis. Alles frisch und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Ambiente war auch toll. Tipp: auf jeden Fall noch Platz für ein Dessert lassen!
