I have known the restaurant for 5 years because it is close to my former training center. I find it so tasty and cheap that last time I booked a hotel nearby and ate there on both evenings. I also feel comfortable when I usually eat there alone. Some things are simple (numbers on the counter, etc.), but there is a great vegetarian and vegan selection and so far I have found everything very tasty. Sometimes the wrong dish is brought and I am asked if I would like to eat that too (no...), then the next time I am given a papadum. For me it's always worth a visit, unfortunately I'm not in Berlin that often.

Actually authentic South Indian food. I cried when I was able to eat dosai here for the first time again.

Favorite Indian in Berlin! Mango paneer is unsurpassed 🙏 and the buffet on Sunday is also great, huge selection and everything without meat. And you can have whole grain rice with every dish

There is great food and it cannot be compared to a normal Indian restaurant. And the fact that it is vegetarian is irrelevant, because it tastes good.

I was there with friends on an early Saturday evening. We had reserved a table for four, but when we arrived the vegan restaurant was almost completely empty, later in the evening we sat there alone. The food was good, but not very attractively presented, which was often the case with Indian restaurants. Unfortunately, the service staff was often not even visible. Several drinks that were ordered (lychee lassi, lychee spritzer and a house specialty) were not available and a dessert that was ordered was also not available.

Vegetarian cuisine quite stable.

I checked out this place because the vibes seemed immaculate and I was right. Healthy food next to a temple. I had a cheese dosa & tea. Good price and good service.

We sat alone in the delicious restaurant, completely astonished. As vegans with two omnivores, we all found it very pleasant, the staff were extremely friendly and the food was very tasty. We will definitely go there again. Thanks so much

Before you go in there are bunch of stickers saying cards are accepted (wow Berlin is modern!). So we went in and had our food which was just ok. At the end we asked to pay with card and they were like no you cannot! And we didn’t have any cash! Guy was like the PoS is not working (oh really????) and we said ok we don’t have any. And suddenly he was like oh let me see maybe it works!!! And magic! Indian god helped it to work!! Wow! The point is people live in this society benefiting from tax payers but they don’t want to contribute. To me, the fact is the Pos was working but he didn’t want to record the number of sales he makes. Ridiculous and disrespectful. My take is that I won’t go again when the costumer is not treated with honesty.

A great option for vegetarian people. They will find a lot of variety with the budget (15-25€). The environment was also pretty good. Although I am not a vegetarian, I enjoyed the meal. However, I wanted a better service, but somehow it was not perfect! Overall, it is worth a chance.

Went for lunch. It was quite full and everyone was overwhelmed. The service was really impatient and not so kind, getting our order slightly wrong. Didn't get our drinks either. The food was very basic and not so tasty. The dessert on the platter looked and tasted like it was standing in the fridge for days. When paying the guy at the front was visibly stressed and rude to us yelling "cash cash cash cash or pay together" gesturing at not only us but also other people behind us that were not even part of our table, also saying "I don't have time for this". Not gonna come here again. I try to have lunch to escape work and relieve myself from stress in a nice atmosphere with good food. I got the opposite.

Ein mageres Buffet, und dann nicht mal besonders schmackhaft, und kalt war es auch. Vielleicht wär a la cart besser gewesen.

This vegetarian restaurant always offers consistently good dishes. Unfortunately, the service is always a bit overwhelmed and it often takes a long time.

I used to eat here very often...it was almost always full. I've been coming here sporadically over the last few years. The food tastes less and less good each time and the quality has also deteriorated significantly. Vegetable soup with completely overcooked vegetables, which also looks gray... you can count the lentils in the lentil soup. Bhatura like not properly baked. Main courses also taste bland and carelessly prepared. The guest room has been renovated over the years and has new colorful seating. The toilets have always been a disaster. I used to love this place, not because it was cheap, but because it tasted good. Unfortunately, I can no longer say that. A little more freshness and quality, I would happily pay more for that...and yes, the service has gotten worse in recent years. I've never been asked in this store if everything is OK. Even though I was sometimes the only guest...if you want to order something, you have to go to the kitchen counter. Then just do self-service...when the food is ready, vibrate. Well... it's best to have an ordering station at the entrance, then you won't have to deal with guests anymore.

Food used to be excellent or just significantly better. In this case, Christmas buffet on December 25th, 2022. A year later I can say that I was a bit shocked at how worse the food was. Hopefully it was just one time, but it was too far off to drive around town.

I haven't eaten so well and cheaply in a long time! On Sundays there is a great buffet for € 15.90. It's also worth taking a look at the menu, Palak Paneer for 7.90! Unbeatably delicious!

Leider nicht zu empfehlen. Ich sowie meine Begleitung hatten am nächsten Tag Durchfall. Zum Kochen werden viele Fertigprodukte verwendet. Es war gerade eine Lieferung mit verschiedenen Packungen angekommen. Meine Portion Vadai war auch so klein, dass man davon nicht satt werden konnte.

The food was very delicious. 10/10 in terms of taste and quality. However, the staff was not very friendly neither welcoming. Furthermore, when I wanted to pay with my German debit card (which was clearly marked outside that it was possible) I was asked unfriendly to pay cash. I wasn't able to pay cash and their card payment system was clearly working. In the end I paid with my debit card, but the whole interaction in addition to the very unwelcoming interaction during our stay, left a bad impression. Nevertheless, the food was great, but the service needs improvement.

War positiv überrascht, so leckeres Essen und das als Fleischfresser;-) Die Thalis mit mehreren Gerichten waren sehr lecker und das Dosa mit Käse einfach Klasse. Die Preise sind für das essen perfekt! Nächstes mal kommen wir Brunchen!

This is my favourite restaurant in Berlin. Luckily enough I live in the same street, so I can come very often and enjoy tasty Indian food. Their palak paneer is the best I ever had in the whole world and I always order it, every time I go here. I truly recommend this gem to anyone who likes good quality food.

I came to Berlin to run the Berlin Marathon with my friend living close by. Both of us ate here frequently. The employees and the owner are down to the earth people. The owner even gave us large portions of food that we usually eat/order because we were hungry after the marathon run. Taste is excellent. I recommend this restaurant to others trying to eat Indian food. I str veggie biriyani and my friend ate palak paneer. We totally enjoyed the food.

Sehr gute vegetarische Gerichte

Ich finde es super, dass es dort nur vegetarische und vegane Gerichte gibt, daher war ich schon mehrfach dort und habe mich durch die Karte probiert. Es sollte für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei sein. Das Essen war immer sehr lecker und die Portionen ausreichend groß. Im Sommer kann man angenehm draußen sitzen, weil die Straße nur wenig befahren ist, auch wenn die Tische etwas hoch sind. Der Service ist ok, nicht besonders freundlich, aber auch nicht unfreundlich. Es liegt ein bisschen daran, wer einen bedient. Was allerdings die Freude über das leckere Essen trübt ist die Tatsache, dass man mit Karte bezahlen kann, es aber nicht gewünscht wird. Erst, wenn man sagt, dass man kein Bargeld hat, ist es OK mit Karte zu zahlen. Wenn man die Bezahlart anbietet, sollte man diese meines Erachtens auch ohne Kommentar, wie bspw. Kartenlesegerät funktioniert nicht, ATM um die Ecke etc. akzeptieren.

The food was good, the service was quick. I enjoyed the vegetarian meal, it was different than I thought, it was rice with five different curries, ranging from palak paneer to lentil and soya. The food was not too spicy for my palate, but still enjoyable.

If there was an option to give zero stars, I would have gone with that. The staff behaviour was very worst and rude towards their customers. Dosa's doesn't tastes like actual Dosa should, rather it tasted like rice batter phulka. Coco chutney and sambhar was completely sweet. Why advertise as indian restaurant and give nasty foods and treat customers bad.

Einfach nur super schlecht, um es konkret zu benennen. Es war sehr kalt im Laden selbst. Die Kellnerin telefonierte gefühlt Stundenlang sehr laut und war nicht für die Gäste da. Nur indem man Sie direkt ansprach reagierte Sie. Es wurde Besteck äußerst laut geputzt. Das Personal unterhielt sich lautstark, somit kam keine Ruhe und Entspannung für den Gast zu stande . Man hatte eher den Eindruck ein störendes Subjekt für die Mitarbeiter zu sein. Das Essen selbst hat gut geschmeckt. Für mich ein: nie wieder!!!

Mein Besuch im Restaurant war durchschnittlich, jedoch gab es einige Serviceprobleme. Der Chef war sehr unfreundlich und die Kellner schienen desinteressiert. Das Essen entsprach einer normalen Hausmannskost. Insgesamt war es keine herausragende Erfahrung, und aufgrund der genannten Mängel würde ich das Restaurant nicht noch einmal besuchen.

The Dosa i ordered looked like this. White dosa, old re-heated sambar, and chutney was sweet, cold and not even grinded properly! Not happy.

The food was okay but what disappointed me the most the way they treated me. I felt that they were a bit racist. They treated the people with color a bit rudely compared to others. Despite being their food okay I would not like to go there ever again because of the way they treated me.

Terrible experience. Went there with four other family members who had special dietary requirements but when we ordered our food, the waitress did not write anything down. When we questioned this, the waitress said not to worry, she would remember everything. However, instead of the vegan platter which I ordered, I got the vegetarian platter, of which I could only eat the dhal and the rice. The waitress also completely forgot about my naan and water. Don't know why the waitress didn't just write down our order. To top it all off, the food was average at best but this was a case of the service being so bad that it actually impacted the food itself.

The atmosphere at Satyam is really nice and the food amazing. I specifically go there for the vegan Thali options - they taste so rich and healthy at very competitive prices. The service is also very good and the waiters friendly. It's one of my favorite places in Berlin.

Ich habe hier ein veganes Essen bekommen. Schwierig war teilweise die Verständigung, weil wir unterschiedliche Sprachen sprachen. Die Einrichtung ist zweckdienlich, aber nicht gemütlich. Zu zweit in der Mitte des Raumes platziert zu werden empfand ich nicht schön. Ich hätte es lieber etwas separater gehabt. Die Möbel wirken alle bereits verwohnt.

Leckeres Essen und ausgewogene Würze.Letztes Mal war das Bathura nicht soooo lecker wie gewohnt und auch das Essen zu wenig gewürzt,aber ansonsten schmeckte es immer sehr gut.

Das Essen war hervorragend und der Service ausgesprochen freundlich!

They serve stale food at a much higher price. This is basically a Nepalese restaurant, which runs on the name of Indian Restaurant unfortunately.

Not recommended to try Dosa and Medu vada. Vada, dosa, sambar, chutney all were far below standards. Mango milkshake tastes like mango lassi. I was very disappointed 😞

Went again to this restaurant a couple of days back and have a few points to share both positive and negative. For the positive I just have good atmosphere with comfortable chairs. For the negatives, I have quite a few points. 1. They have just 1 waitress and she is over-burdened with work, making her unpleasant to the customers at times (atleast to me and my friends). 2. I had tried North Indian dishes a few years back and they were good. But this time I went for south Indian food (since they have a large variety of them), and it was just average. Their Masala Dosa and Rava Dosa look and taste the same. Rather, their Rava Dosa did not even have Rava in them. When asked why is it so, the waitress said this is not India, you cannot find the same taste here. To which I agree, but charging more for Rava Dosa and just giving any Dosa doesn't make sense. At least it should have the important ingredients. 3. The owner is super rude. After asking the waitress to cross check in the kitchen if there was any mistake, the owner came out with two Gits packet saying this is how we make Dosa. I was surprised that a restaurant with so many South Indian dishes is using a packaged mix in a restaurant. After expressing my surprise, he said "I cannot make fresh dosa mix for just one customer". This did hurt a bit but that is fine too. 😅 Anyway, the discussion went on for sometime but nothing fruitful so I said thank you for the explanation, completed my food and left the place. I think it would simply be best to state that you use packaged product and not charge so much. These packaged products are not so expensive and very easy to make at home. If I would have wanted that I would have not come to any restaurant and pay at least 5-6 times the cost. Also be nice to your customers!!

I had bad experience. The food was not good (not worth at all the price) and after eating the food this afternoon, I have been having severe headache - its the worst Indian food I ever had! Waste of money and moreso got health issues after eating the bad food - my health suffered very badly after eating the food here and I would not at all suggest this place because of the health issues I had to face.

Wir waren zum veganen Brunch dort. Das All-you-can-eat-Buffet ist nicht so groß und vielseitig wie in anderen Lokalen. Auf der anderen Seite ist der Preis aber sehr gut👍🏼 Es schmeckt sehr gut ☺️🍛 Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Die Einrichtung ist schön und die Stühle sehr gemütlich zum längeren Sitzen. Wir kommen gern wieder ☺️👍🏼

One of the worse restaurants. The naan was flat as my soul. It was no spicy and the service was baddd.

Unauthentic. I ordered a paneer Tikka and Lassie; neither of which tasted good. The ambience of the restaurant is all right but the food barely has any taste. If you are looking for authentic Indian food in Berlin, you may wanna avoid this place. Disappointed.

Schön, dass es sonntags wieder Brunch ab 12 Uhr mit ayurvedischen Speisen gibt. Schöne Auswahl an schmackhaften Gerichten von Suppe bis zum Dessert - alles was mein Herz höher schlagen lässt. Zuvorkommender Service in indischem Ambiente. Wir kommen seit Jahren gern her ❤️

Wir kommen seit Jahren immer mal wieder hierher. Die vegetarische und auch die vegane Platte sind ebenso wie Samosa und Pakora absolut zu empfehlen! Sehr abwechslungsreich und alles lecker und günstig! Bei dem Versuch mit Einzelgerichten hatten wir eher weniger gewürzte Speisen auf dem Teller, die dadurch etwas langweilig waren. Schade. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Das Ambiente im Innenraum ist renoviert und hat sich verbessert. Die Korbsessel draußen hätten besser auch ausgetauscht werden sollen. Die sind einfach nur unbequem, nicht sehr schön, und man sitzt viel zu tief. Aber was nicht ist, kann ja noch werden...

Großartiger Mittagstisch mit Dal, Naturreis und 3 veg Gerichten sowie kleinem Salat - alles sehr ausgewogen gewürzt und zu einem moderaten Preis. Der Chai ist schön kräftig, komme gerne wieder her :)

Hier kann man für wenig Geld gut vegetarisch essen. Dieses Restaurant gibt es seit mehr als 30Jahren .Also ein Besuch lohnt sich auf jeden Falls.

Who knows about indien food,, should go to Satyam! This is absolutely one of my top 3 in Berlin. So authentic, so exotic ! who cooks with topinambours or yams or jackfruit? This is food made with love and passion . thank you so much to the chef and his team.

One of the few treasures of good vegetarian Indian cuisine which is as authentic as it can get on request. Their ayurvedic cuisine is highly recommended.

Leckeres Essen auf welches man nicht lange warten muss. Das Essen wirkte nicht ganz frisch. Es gibt drinnen und draussen Sitzplätze. Die Bedienung ist höflich.

Indische, rein vegane, Küche. Essen war ganz gut. Allerdings sollte hier noch etwas mehr an der Art der Bedienung gearbeitet werden. Ansonsten kann man es durchaus weiterempfehlen.
