Ich kam nach einer langen Reise völlig erschöpft hierher und bestellte ein Gericht. Daher war mein Urteilsvermögen beim Essen etwas getrübt. Geschmacklich war das Essen in Ordnung, etwas scharf, aber auf eine angenehme Art. Die Qualität ließ jedoch zu wünschen übrig. Mir war nach etwa zwei Stunden sehr übel.

Wunderbarer Ort für köstliches indisches Essen

Mir wurden abgestandene Soßen/Chutneys serviert, die bereits verdorben waren. Als ich das Personal darauf hinwies, zuckten sie nur mit den Schultern und machten einfach weiter wie immer. Das sagt alles über die Standards in diesem Lokal. Meiden Sie es!

Ich habe kürzlich in diesem Restaurant gegessen und war wirklich begeistert. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, besonders samosa als Vorspeise und dann tandoori chicken das wirklich hervorragend schmeckte. Die Zutaten waren frisch, und die Zubereitung war perfekt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, preiswert und schnell was das gesamte Erlebnis sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Ich werde definitiv wiederkommen und kann dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen.

Ich habe kürzlich in diesem Restaurant gegessen und war sehr beeindruckt. Das Matar Paneer und das Bhatura waren geschmackvoll und perfekt zubereitet. Der Service war schnell und zuvorkommend, und das gesamte Esserlebnis war äußerst zufriedenstellend. Ich freue mich schon auf meinen nächsten Besuch.

Wie in Indien! Original indische Küche und Ambiente! Ohne Touristenschick!

Das war das schlechteste indische Essen, das ich je gegessen habe, und dafür auch noch viel zu teuer (10 Euro für ein vegetarisches Gericht). Der Laden ist außerdem sehr schmutzig.

Meal was not that great. Chicken was highly processed and it was definitely not a butter chicken. Surroundings not that great either. Like local takeaway. Overpriced overall. Only positive point was the friendly staff.

Delicious Food! It's an open kitchen where you can see the whole cooking. Every dish is freshly made and the staff is very nice. I will come again.

Over the past four years, we've eaten or ordered food here exactly three times. Our recent experience was so disappointing that I finally decided to write a review. Don't waste your hard-earned money here. Maybe this restaurant once served good food, but sadly, that's no longer the case. The chicken dish consisted of highly processed, salty pieces of meat (like you'd find in a supermarket...), and the dish in general just tasted unappealing. The chana dish was okay, but it tasted strongly of a spice box mix. What's labeled as paneer here is a disgrace... The bhatura was freshly prepared and tasty, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it.

Nice little corner and very traditional kitchen that brings me back to the 70s in a coffee shop in Asia. Food is ok. I like the flatbread. Chicken tikka is a tad salty.

The staff were very courteous and the service was quick, but unfortunately, the food didn't taste good at all. We had two vegetarian dishes. Both tasted of little other than chili; the soy cubes were completely tasteless and moist (water oozed out with every bite). Otherwise, there weren't many vegetables, some of which were old and tasteless (especially the carrot), served in a sauce that wasn't very colorful or flavorful, and presented in an unappealing way.

I don't know how to describe this place with other words than "shady". The prices magically go up by 30-40% from what's written just because it is Saturday/Sunday. They don't mention it anywhere until you order already. I'm shocked that this place is still in business

It's a shame that I didn't take a closer look through the shop window into the unclean, shabby-looking dive bar before entering. It wasn't until we were sitting on the worn chairs that I looked around... If the place were in India, I wouldn't have been surprised. I have to admit that the service was very nice. The food was mediocre and relatively overpriced. Slight intestinal problems afterwards... Not recommended. We were the only guests... at 6:00 p.m. on Friday... The Pizzeria Peppino in the immediate vicinity was packed...

Bad, little, expensive! I ate the worst Indian food of my life in this restaurant today. My order: lentil soup, palak paneer (spinach with cream cheese) and mineral water. The soup smelled and tasted so strongly of vinegar that I had to complain. Luckily I got a new one without any problems. There was still vinegar in it, but little. Portion is quite large after all. The main course for EUR 11.90 (!) was a total disaster in terms of appearance and taste. A rather small amount of lumpy rice on a plate, next to it a bland grey-brown-green mush that contained no spices other than salt and (at my request) a little spiciness. The dish could hardly have been stretched any further. It had the quality of the worst cafeteria food and was just barely edible. No Indian would willingly eat something like that! At the Indian restaurant I trust, the Yogi Ashram in Friedrichshain, I get a beautifully seasoned fish dish served in copper bowls for the same price. Oh yes, and the water for EUR 2.90 was from the REWE house brand “Ja”! and came in a plastic bottle. The beer for EUR 5.50 was too expensive for me. The last time I ate something at "Buddha" was in 2020, which I remember was okay. For me it now means: never again.

There are only a few places like this left. Nothing has changed here for decades and I think that's wonderful. A real pearl. It's not fancy or classy, ​​but delicious and unique

Indian restaurants on the Continent are often of a lower standard than in the U.K. This one is pretty good so by German standards it is a five-star place! The portions are good, the menu very extensive, the prices reasonable and the food tasty and genuinely Indian.

Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant. Food: Rice was cold, but otherwise okay. The sauce was lukewarm. Food was mixed up (there was a request to leave out an ingredient and the person got exactly the dish with the ingredient he didn't want, even though the waiter specifically asked), and tea was forgotten. In one meal at least 1 piece of meat was bad. Generally little meat in all meat dishes. Mineral water from "yes". ... Price performance is definitely not right. Service: The waitress doesn't seem to understand German very well. Had to say everything x times. Ambiance: dirty glasses. Really, really dirty. Not just a few spots. Tables sticky, ceiling is broken, paint is peeling off wall, men's toilet right next to the table, but locked. We had to direct every guest to the women's toilet.

Fantastic food! I will gladly come again

If I wish to give zero star for Atmosphere and Food I would love to do that. I really spoiled my evening by choosing this restaurant. I ordered the "Subji" and it was mixture of spoiled vegetables and cold basmati rice. As soon as you enter the hotel u get pungent smell and dont try to enter even the inner room. The menu what u see over is here is the old one. The prices are actually much more than you see. I couldnt take a photo of menu as we left the food half the way (even though i dont waste food. I was forced to do it or else i would have puked) Sorry for the harsh review but please maintain some cleanliness and change the vegetables in "Subji" as it was full of carrot and cucumber.

Our favorite Indian restaurant in Mitte! It always tastes great and authentic. We have never been disappointed so far. The selection is also great and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. It's a small, cute restaurant, but we usually order take-away by phone. The service was always friendly. We'll be back 😊

The price-performance ratio is great here. The food is freshly prepared and you can even watch it being made. The lady of the house is very friendly and attentive to her guests. If you want to eat something quick and cheap, this is the place for you.

I have been a regular customer for over 20 years. As a vegetarian, I am particularly enthusiastic about all the vegetarian dishes at Buddha. My highlight is the palak paneer with basmati rice. I have never eaten such good food from other Indians.

As an Indian, I am ashamed that they are selling such bad quality food. Even though I saw the bad reviews about selling stale food, I ordered Tandoori chicken and got rotten chicken and with curry smelling so bad. I am surprised they are still able to operate given strict regulations around food quality. A gentle advice, of you are not able to run it profitably, better to shut it down and do something else instead of giving a bad impression Indian food. I challenge the owners to eat their own food and remain healthy.

Essen war komplett unterwürtzt und die Suppen haben geschmeckt, als wären sie mit Wasser verdünnt worden. Wer klassisches indisches Essen erwartet ist hier falsch.

Schön ist anders. Das Essen ist aber ganz lecker. Drinnen muss man wirklich nicht sitzen, lieber ein Tisch außerhalb.

Watch out!! We ate 2 complete different meals, Dahl and veggy byriani, we were both sick the day after!! We even didn't eat meat! But in the end, I found an old bone in my rice dish. Berlin service for food safety, please pass by! 🙏 Would it be possible that they serve spoiled food to tourists? Locals seems to be quite happy with the food......?

Deutlich unterdurchschnittliches indisches Essen. Wirkt alles etwas schmuddelig. Obwohl Brot oder Reis als Beilage möglich und das auch nur als Beilage gewünscht wurde, wird einem noch zusätzliches Brot aufgedrängt. Preis-Leistung meilenwert unter dem nahe gelegenen Amrit. Nicht zu empfehlen!

Serving stale foods only... Tried two different menus and the curry is totally stale and gives a rotten smell. Even the naan served also stale. Think before going.

S'il vous plaît ne venez pas ici ! La personne qui gère ce restaurant n'est pas méchante mais elle n'a rien à faire dans la cuisine je suis désolé. C'est le pire indien que je n'ai jamais mangé, plats réchauffés sans goût vraiment pas bon. Bière servi avec un verre sale bref un cauchemar. Tout ça pour des prix pas beaucoup moins cher qu'ailleurs. Essayer les autres Indiens dans le quartier à mon avis.

Le pire indien que j'ai testé. J'ai pris un poulet Korma et le poulet avait un goût fort et mauvais impossible de le manger. Mon copain a pris un poulet butter et il avait le même plat que moi avec un bout de beurre en plus posé dans la sauce.. Même le riz est raté.. Les plats sont chers pour la qualité proposé. 13/14€ le plat.

I've been on other indian restaurants around the globe and this was the worst, preheated food and tasteless, the portions were too little, the chicken portions almost inexistent. Bathrooms were not clean and the waiter didn't want us to pay with card, don't know why. They gave us a coke in a glass without the bottle we didn't know were it come from. Later we paid but they didn't gave us the bill, we don't know whether the price was correct or not. This is the first thing to do in a business.

I ordered Veg Biryani and Shahi Paneer, both dishes were decent but were not the right ones. Biryani was more like rice khichdi and Shahi Paneer was same gravy that was used in biryani with some Paneer. Easy to get fooled here.

Zufällig dieses indische Restaurant gefunden. Ein freundliches indisches Ehepaar bedient einen und kocht live und das seit 26 Jahren! Preislich völlig ok! Falls ich mal wieder in Berlin bin, schaue ich gerne wieder vorbei!

Furchtbar! Ich bekomme eine falsche Bestellung. Kann es nicht essen, da nicht vegan und bezahle noch mehr als meine ursprüngliche Bestellung. Dazu muss ich argumentieren und es sei alles mein Fehler. Daran bin ich dann auch satt geworden. Nie wieder!

The three stars are given only because they were friendly and shown a welcoming attitude. This restaurant needs renovation desperately.

Seit über 25 Jahren verlässlich gute Küche. Mittags schnell, preiswert und gut. Abends gibt es eine deutlich andere Karte und selbstbewusstere Preise. Die Currys haben eine gute Wucht und reichhaltigen Geschmack. Auf der Schärfeskala spielt man aufrichtig moderat, mehr als ein kurzes Schwitzen ist nicht drin. Dafür bekommt man schnickschnack-freies Lammcurry, oder Kochbananen, Palak Paneer.. und immer bodenständige, ehrliche Küche und herzliche Bedienung. Für diese selten gewordene Preisliga unerreicht gutes Essen. Es ist fußläufig zur Humboldt-Universität und jetzt im unscheinbaren Rücken von Hipster-Mitte. Ich sprach kurz mit der Inhaberin heute. Sie haben 1996 das Restaurant eröffnet! Ich war 1997 das erste Mal hier, bin Stammkunde seit einem Vierteljahrhundert. Ich wünsche noch viele gute Jahre!
