Hier Meine Meinung zu Sattgrün: Wer gut den Teller voll stapeln kann ist hier super aufgehoben, die Speisen sind schmackhaft, die Suppe war mir persönlich zu scharf was aber Tagesabhängig sein könnte. Service gibt es eigentlich nicht, nur an der Kasse, Fragen werden beantwortet.

Heute das erste Mal dort gewesen. Bin begeistert von dem Essen und der Auswahl. Alles appetitlich und frisch angerichtet und so lecker. Man versucht so viel wie möglich vom Buffet zu probieren. Auch die Tofu-Varianten, wenn man schon mal die Möglichkeit hat. Es hat alles unglaublich gut geschmeckt. Service schwierig zu bewerten, da Selbstbedienung.😉 Auf jeden Fall eine klare Weiterempfehlung ☺️

Bei dieser Auswahl am Buffet bleibt kein Wunsch unerfüllt… Die Gerichte sind ansprechend präsentiert. Die Auswahl ist riesig, geschmacklich hervorragend!

Mega leckeres Essen und toller entspannter Vibe! Und auch endlich Mal schön einfach zu Zugreifen und nicht dreimal nachfragen zu müssen ob es vegan ist. Durch die Selbstbedienung und das selbstständige abräumen des Tisches hat es natürlich etwas den Kantinen feel aber nichts was mich stark stören würde!

Eine große Auswahl mit verschiedenen Veganen Gerichten als Buffet. Kalt und warm. Sehr vielseitig, für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Sehr zu empfehlen! Man sucht sich einen Teller aus in Größe S, M oder L, den darf man sich einmal mit allem voll machen, was drauf passt.

Ich war zum ersten Mal hier. Eine nette Dame vom Service hat mir am Anfang geduldig erklärt, wie das Konzept funktioniert. Ich habe mich für einen großen Teller (es gab noch klein und mittel) entschieden, weil ich Alles probieren wollte. Man kann sich auch Kartonboxen ToGo (ebenfalls drei Größen) befüllen. Das vegane Buffet bietet sehr viele warme Speisen, aber auch diverse Salate. Es wurden auch zwei verschiedene Suppen angeboten, die ich aber nicht probiert habe. Mein Teller war schon voll genug. Ich fand fast alle Gerichte sehr lecker. Hier und da hätte ich mir etwas mehr Kräuter oder Gewürze gewünscht. Es störte mich aber nicht allzu sehr. Das nächste Mal würde ich keinen großen Teller mehr nehmen. Die Portion ist wirklich riesig und man sollte viel Hunger mitbringen. Mir hat es jedenfalls geschmeckt, ich empfehle Sattgrün gerne weiter.

Veganer - Selbstbedienung - Buffet- sehr gute Auswahl an leckeren Speisen von gekocht bis roh. Allergrne sind ausgezeichnet. Ruhige Atmosphäre und skandinavische Einrichtung. Sehr zentral in der Innenstadt.

Jedesmal ein Genuss, veganes Essen kann so lecker sein

Es war alles so lecker! Ich glaube, ich habe jedes Gericht und jeden Salat probiert, und meiner Freundin hat es auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Desserts waren mir etwas zu süß, aber die Hauptgerichte waren sehr abwechslungsreich und unglaublich lecker. Ich war total begeistert, dass alles vegan war!

EXTREM schlechter Service Meine Freundin hat einen iced Latte, einen Kaffee bestellt und ein Stückkuchen bestellt Am Ende bekam sie zwei iced Latte und als sie schüchtern darauf aufmerksam machte dass sie nur einen bestellt hat und das Stück Kuchen fehlt (wofür sie bereits abkassiert wurde) wurde sie angepampt dass sie lügen würde und zwei bestellt hätte? Es ist voll ok eine Bestellung zu vermasseln aber so unfreundlich zu sein ist gar nicht ok…(es war nicht mal voll)

Sehr leckeres Essen, die Preise sind für gelegentliche Besuche in Ordnung. Ich würde definitiv wieder hingehen. Allerdings sind die Stühle nicht besonders bequem.

War heute zum ersten Mal da und hab fast alles probiert außer die Sachen mit Soja und es war soooooooo lecker und besonders gewürzt, ein tolles Erlebnis. Hab den großen Teller gerade so geschafft aufzuessen, obwohl ich große Portionen gewöhnt bin. Es wurde uns auch neues Besteck gebracht obwohl welches am Tisch stand, das Wasser mit Gläsern wurde auch gebracht. Super liebe Mädels da. Komme gerne wieder ❤️

Bin sehr begeistert. Mega lecker, Essen ist super gut gewürzt. Kompliment an Kochpersonal. Buffet mit guter Auswahl. Es gab auch mehrere Suppen. Ein Restaurant , wo großteils "clean eating" möglich ist. Wünsche mir auch eine Filiale in Stuttgart, nach dem das Iden in der Eberhardstr. geschlossen hat. ;)

Seeehr leckeres Essen und schönes Konzept. Alles ist vegan, es gibt 3 Suppen zur Auswahl und viele unterschiedliche Gerichte, die je nach Tellergröße kosten. Zudem gibt es diverse Kuchen und viele Kaffeespezialitäten. Softdrinks und Alkohol gibt es auch, also kann hier jeder/r glücklich werden. Auch das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit -also: gerne wieder😍

Sattgrün wirkt insgesamt wie ein sehr stimmiges veganes Restaurant mit einem Kochstil, der geschmacklich überzeugt. Die Speisen sind teilweise deutlich herzhaft abgeschmeckt, machen gut satt und stellen auch Menschen zufrieden, die sonst eher fleischbetont essen. Ein expliziter Gesundheitsanspruch steht dabei aus meiner Sicht eher nicht im Vordergrund, denn hier geht es klar um Geschmack. Das Angebot ist handwerklich durchgehend konsistent gut. Ich habe keine tiefen Kenntnisse der veganen Küche, daher weiß ich nicht immer genau, was mich erwartet, aber bisher bin ich ausnahmslos zuverlässig abgeholt worden. Die Gerichte sind durchweg lecker und ohne Ausreißer nach unten. Gleiches gilt für die Desserts, die in der Regel ebenfalls sehr gelungen sind. Ergänzt wird die Auslage durch zusätzliche Rohkost. Die Auswahl wechselt, was ich eher als Abwechslung denn als Nachteil empfinde. Das Servicekonzept ist jugendlich und freundlich angelegt. Die Selbstbedienung funktioniert gut und die Abrechnung nach Tellergröße statt nach Gewicht ist fair und kundenfreundlich. Portionsgrößen und Preise stehen in einem stimmigen Verhältnis. Der einzige wirkliche Kritikpunkt betrifft das Mobiliar. Stühle und Bänke sind recht hart und wenig bequem, was eher zu einem kürzeren Aufenthalt einlädt als zu längerem, gemütlichem Verweilen. Insgesamt hinterlässt Sattgrün bei mir einen verlässlichen und qualitativ konstanten Eindruck mit einem klar umgesetzten Konzept der Kette. Ein positives und ernst zu nehmendes Angebot, das auch über die vegane Zielgruppe hinaus überzeugen kann.

Sicherlich eine Frage des persönlichen Geschmacks. Für Vegetarier und Veganer sicher ein guter Ort. Den 5. Stern vergeben ich, weil ich die Preise als hoch empfinde.

Nachdem uns sattgrün in Düsseldorf so gut gefallen hat, hatten wir nun die Chance, die Filiale in Essen auszuprobieren. Der Laden ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Und doch hatte uns die Filialen in Düsseldorf (zwei haben wir ausprobiert) etwas besser gefallen.

Der beste Sattgrün weil schön geräumig....

Das vegetarische Buffet bot eine große Auswahl. Die Suppenauswahl war etwas verwirrend. Man konnte nur eine große Tasse bestellen, die für eine vollwertige Mahlzeit gedacht war. Wir teilten uns schließlich die gleiche Suppe. Da man keine Nachfüllungen bestellen konnte, landete alles auf einem Teller, was zu einer Durcheinander führte. Dadurch konnte man den Geschmack der einzelnen Gerichte nicht richtig genießen. Wirklich schade.

I've been a regular at all Sattgrün locations for years. But recently, they've been restructuring the Essen location, and it's not well thought out, which I don't like. It's a buffet restaurant; there's no table service. So why get rid of the trays? Is cleaning them too much trouble? I like to have a small plate from the buffet, along with soup, bread, and a drink. It used to be relaxing, but now it's a logistical challenge. How is this supposed to work in the summer when people want to sit outside? The cutlery and napkins on the table are also pointless if they aren't regularly replenished. Everyone is forced to run from table to table searching for the appropriate cutlery. This only exacerbates the already loud and hectic atmosphere. Sattgrün Essen has lost me as a regular customer for now.

The vegetarian and vegan selection is good and fresh. The prices reflect the quality. The staff at the self-checkout are friendly. The ambiance is very pleasant. Accessibility note: The restroom is in the basement. The food was tasty, but unfortunately only lukewarm and then quickly became cold. If a hot buffet is offered, the food should be kept warm. Especially here, one looks forward to enjoying a complete vegetarian or vegan restaurant experience and finally being able to eat more than just a cold salad and a few side dishes. Cold main courses are then a bitter disappointment. This seems to have happened quite often. The buffet, with its pay-per-plate system, is quite nice. The shallow plates are divided into low sections, which unfortunately make no sense at all. Deep plates or bowls would be much better. This creates a complete mess of hot and cold dishes and sauces. Everything slides, drips, or falls off the plate. It's really impractical with dishes that have sauces or salad toppings. But since you eat from a tray, it's manageable. If you want salad as a side dish rather than a main course, there's hardly any room left for hot food. So I skipped it altogether, which I found disappointing. In the evening, there was only one dessert left; everything else was sold out. Therefore, I went to a different restaurant for dessert and coffee. The trays, on which you carry your own plate to the table and cover it yourself in a tray cart, give it a bit of a cafeteria feel. The tray cart was very full of old dishes. During my approximately 2.5-hour stay, the tables weren't cleaned between guests. The restrooms should be checked for tidiness and cleanliness from time to time; I didn't find them well-maintained.

Everything we tried was lovely. Its always a treat to find a vegan buffet restaurant on day trips or holidays and this one did not disappoint.

My girlfriend enthusiastically dragged me in, but the food left me utterly disillusioned. The buffet was overflowing with beans, chickpeas, corn, and onions—a noisy aftermath was guaranteed. Tofu in every imaginable form, tasting somewhere between textured wallpaper and a horrifically swallowed turmeric regret. Mineral water with a world-saving label—eco, fair trade, and yet just... water. Service is beyond rating; you have to clear your own table. Political slogans in the restroom—larger than the menu and decidedly left-wing, of course. Food should unite, not divide. I was full, but not happy. My girlfriend loved it—I'll be looking for something with real flavor next time.

I've been here several times recently. I find most of the food delicious, no question, although some dishes are a bit too seasoned for my taste. But unfortunately, it's always quite messy. The tray trays are often overflowing, making it nearly impossible to put your own tray down. This was the case last week, when there were only two other guests besides me. If they can't even find the time to take care of things like that, it speaks volumes to me. Even last Saturday evening, when the restaurant was busy, the chair next to mine was still covered in sauce from the previous guest, and the tray for bottles and glasses was also overflowing. The restroom is practically always untidy, with bits of paper lying around and a full trash can. This unfortunately detracts significantly from the overall experience. The food tastes good to very good, but cleanliness and tidiness definitely need more attention.

I love the rich green color. Simply delicious food. 5 stars, even though there are two things that are a shame: - Why aren't you available in Bavaria? - A cake without wheat flour (gluten-free or with spelt flour) would be fantastic 🤗 I'll definitely order again.

A quiet and pleasant place, somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of the city center. A simple concept – different plate sizes, each serving one helping from the buffet. Everything is vegetarian, varied, and absolutely delicious.

We escaped here from the newly opened market hall in Essen and were extremely satisfied. Of course, it was lunchtime in this office environment and therefore quite crowded, but that's also a 5-star review from the other guests. I, an omnivore, was delighted with the taste of my fried potatoes and the "meat substitute." And it was bright inside, too, unlike the market hall. So: we'll definitely be going back.

Stay away. It's dangerous!.It was tasty, though very fatty. But I felt really bad afterwards and had to throw up. I normally can eat everything with no problem. Also the fatty food. I suspect, it was the oil they use.

A nice surprise! You can put together your own meal. There are many options: salads, tofu, curry, and noodles. At the end, you'll find sunflower seeds, peanuts, and sesame seeds as toppings.

It was very busy on Friday evening. There are shared tables and individual tables. You walk along the buffet and help yourself to whatever you want. You pay by the size of your plate. The apple cherry crumble cake was fantastic.

Let's start with the positive: the food looks very good, and there's a fairly large selection. The taste, however, was quite mediocre, and that's certainly not due to the lack of animal products; I've also tried numerous MSG-free alternatives from Asian cuisine. The prices are also rather steep. When paying, we were only offered disposable cutlery, and only after asking. It's nice to try something like that, but still not really great.

I've been going here for four years now. The food is freshly prepared and healthy, with something for everyone. I'm not strictly vegan, but the food here is delicious. I've even managed to win over meat-eaters! My absolute favorite cake is here: the peanut chocolate cake!! 😍😍😍

For me, Sattgrün is one of the best places in Essen for good vegan food. The ambiance is modern and stylish – a bistro where you feel at home. The buffet concept is particularly fun: you choose your plate size and combine your favorite dishes from the cold and hot buffet as you please. Whether it's sweet potato and coconut soup, colorful salads with fresh herbs, or curries and soy medallions – the selection is large, varied, and of high quality. There are also homemade cakes and drinks, most of which are organic. The seating inside is comfortable, and outside would be too – if it weren't for the problem of the very pushy beggars. During my stay, there were several disruptions, which is a shame, because the outdoor area would otherwise be truly inviting. The staff themselves are friendly, attentive, and clearly enjoy their food – you can tell right away. In conclusion: A thoroughly vegan bistro with fresh, creative cuisine and a great concept. For me, this is a clear recommendation for food – but it’s best enjoyed indoors.

Everything is always delicious and the restaurant is very clean. The service is also very friendly :) I'd happily come back anytime.

Unfortunately, it's not like it used to be. I used to eat here often and I enjoyed it, but now it's become too expensive for me. Furthermore, the loyalty point card is only stamped on weekdays – but there's no indication of this on the card. I also found it unpleasant that an employee answered me in English even though I addressed her in German. She then spoke to another customer in German as usual.

Sattgrün has a fantastic selection of exclusively vegan dishes, both with and without meat substitutes. There are three different buffets, with salads, soups, and hot main courses. The concept isn't all-you-can-eat, though; instead, you pay per plate, with different sizes available at different prices. Cakes are also available. You can also pack your food and take it with you. The food is always fresh, well-seasoned, and I get the impression that many omnivores also enjoy eating here. There is seating both inside and outside, and so far, I've always found a spot without a reservation. One star deducted for the unfortunately high prices, but I do enjoy treating myself every now and then, especially since I definitely think vegan restaurants are worth supporting.

We had dinner at Sattgrün to try it out. I particularly like that it's a vegan restaurant. The selection was large and the service friendly. There's a buffet where you can put together your own meal, which is fresh and delicious. We definitely recommend it.

Even for me, as a complete meat lover, it's a great place when I'm craving a delicious salad bowl for lunch 🙂 The varied salad buffet always has tons of delicious things to discover! A lovely atmosphere and a consistently friendly staff!

The food is very good, unfortunately the prices are constantly increasing. The limit will soon be completely crossed. UPDATE 05/25: And the prices have been increased again. When it comes to salad, it's even up by more than 10 percent!

Food was super tasty, you choose a plate of a certain size and you pay for it and then you fill that plate with whatever you think would be tasty. Don't be stupid like me. You shouldn't wait at a table until you are helped, you have to go get your own food 😉

Rich green, a now well-known gastro concept. At this location, however, it is super clean, the buffet is perfect and visually appealing! 3 employees at lunchtime, a bit thin, so the payment process takes longer, but with a little time and patience still acceptable at lunchtime. It's a shame, and therefore a point deduction: here too, they didn't take into account that there are still mothers who visit the lush green area with strollers; cramped tables and chairs and other unfavorable combinations make it difficult.

Unfortunately we didn't think it was that good. The warm dishes were all cold, a total no go for me. When hot food is cold, I find it pretty disgusting. I found the buffet impractical to get to, as spills can hardly be avoided. It's canteen style, but you pay a lot for it, and the dishes are all quite similar. We just somehow had higher expectations based on the photos and presentations we had seen online. The tray tray wasn't emptied regularly and so you didn't know where to put your trays. Personally, we won't come back a second time.

We actually really enjoy coming to the café but today we were very disappointed. The young lady with the black braid this morning was very unfriendly and not at all hospitable. We paid with the card, the payment was authorized. Your comment that the payment hadn't gone through came like a shot, without even taking a look at the EC device. A very unpleasant experience. If it had been the first time today, it would have been our last visit.
