Santa Maria in Grömitz

Very tasty food, super delicious pizzas. Can't understand the comments. People expect too much, self-service is everywhere...if you don't understand that, you should go somewhere else. The boss has a nice sense of humor, but apparently not everyone understands it! I'd love to come back!

Why were all the very bad reviews given by people who have hardly ever rated anything?

Were there for dinner yesterday (September 20th, 2024) the boss or whatever he is supposed to be is totally unfriendly and only gives stupid answers, he doesn't even say hello or good day in return, it's simply inhumane and you can tell that he doesn't want to do his work And on top of that you have to pay an extra €1.80 for extra onions on a pizza that you could count on your hand, it's absolutely overpriced and the spaghetti Bolognese was probably a bad joke, it didn't taste good at all and it wasn't a homemade sauce, it was hon from a ready-made can and the supposedly boss saves where he can, hardly any meat in the spaghetti... So you can really save yourself that and go to the pizza machine which is only a few minutes walk away. So even one star for the food and service is too much, I would give it minus stars.

Unfortunately, this is only something for quick hunger...

Hey, We went there for pizza yesterday after our walk. The pizza was very tasty, maybe. A little oversalted but still delicious. In terms of price it was rather cheap, compared to the expensive Grömitz. (Margherita for just under €10, Tonno for around €12, small Sprite €2.50) The restaurant itself was very full with all sorts of stuff... (empty boxes, refrigerators...) What really bothered me was that there were fruit flies buzzing everywhere... I would also recommend that the owner do a major cleaning of the place. It's very nice outside, with beach chairs and a view of the sea/harbor.

Terrible service. It seems bankrupt that they are doing you a favor by serving you.

Pizza and pasta OK, the rest is frozen. Always very stressed and unfriendly. Children are also not very welcome here

Santa Maria am Hafen Grömitz wanted to eat on site, no service, self-collection without a tray, carelessly pressed into the hand, you can't recommend that the food was inferior, pasta was in the boil, just sad!!!!

We can understand the bad reviews. The pizzas were tasty and ok. The prices are normal today. However, the staff is very unfriendly. The sound makes the music. So there was no tip. We won't be coming back.

We were also hungry and unfortunately neglected to check the Google reviews beforehand. What a mistake! Don't do this to yourself, even if you are hungry. We have never eaten such bad pizza at completely exorbitant prices. You can also throw your money directly into the sea. The completely unfriendly employees complete the overall picture.

As soon as we ordered, people rolled their eyes at the request for less cheese. Unfortunately, two of the four pizzas we ordered were badly burnt and tasted that way. It can happen... The complaint and the request for a replacement were only rudely dismissed because it was shortly before closing time. In this context the sentence was also used: Then they sue me…. But the money was then refunded. Unfortunately, customer friendliness is very important here!!! Basically we like the pizzas here, but the rest should also be good, so only one star :(

We looked at the reviews here beforehand and I really have to say: I don't care whether the owner is friendly or not. The pizza tastes great! That's what matters!

Just terrible!!! Absolutely not recommended! The store had best close; Such people are completely out of place, we can only agree with the previous comments. Dirty and unfriendly service, pizzas not cut (otherwise they didn't taste particularly good either); We and our children were yelled at because they didn't know what they wanted to eat. It's unbelievable how you treat potential guests. Self-service...no problem...so I went in to ask if we could put two small tables together to dine with a total of 8 people. There are two larger tables next to the entrance area, but since one was occupied, we wouldn't have been able to fit in with such a large group of people. After the pizza chef initially ignored me, I briefly interrupted his work to ask if it was okay with the back of the table. He explained to me that we could sit at the large table, to which I replied that we wouldn't fit. Then he acted like I was stupid and explained to me that it doesn't make a difference if I put two small tables together or take the big one and said in one Incredibly arrogant and unfriendly tone: “Stop” and went back to topping his pizza. We didn't eat there and I wouldn't give a cent to a restaurateur like that. It's a shame that he can apparently allow himself to behave like this. We received incredibly friendly service in a great restaurant a few meters away and still had a wonderful evening.

I would summarize: There is only one star for the great location. Because of the situation, you can probably have the arrogance to treat your customers so unkindly. We never felt welcome!!! Opening hours are not declared anywhere and when we entered the store at 9:10 p.m., he apparently took our order after closing time. However, we had to fully accept his mushy, annoyed and collected bad mood!!! We can only agree with the previous negative comments about child-friendliness. We will no longer enter the pizzeria. P.S.: If you still want to dare, you should take your own pizza cutter with you. No takeaway pizzas are cut here.

A number of restaurants, including those on the promenade, now have this principle. At no time did I experience any unfriendliness or long waiting times. Ordering and paying at the counter - what's the problem? If I don't like it, I'll go somewhere else. E.g. to the promenade. But please be careful, the same principle exists there too. Only then did the pizza cost €16 and the Aperol spritz €8.50. There is simply a lack of staff. Food: We had pasta dishes and pizzas. The noodles were very well cooked and, depending on the dish, tasty. The base of the pizzas, i.e. dough and tomato sauce, were delicious. The pizzas were very well baked and well topped. No complaints whatsoever. Service: What was still necessary was taken care of promptly and in a friendly manner. Ambience: Very nice outside. Bruschetta for €5.50 2 small pieces with tomato and basil were very shocked when we saw this. Ordered to take away. Salami pizza was OK. There are better and worse. The waiting time was OK, but both people behind the counter were very annoyed and had to see for themselves what it cost.

Twice and never again! Were recently there under Corona conditions and attributed both the unfriendly manner and the feeling of being “cashed off” to the special situation. Two years later... No improvement at all! We were treated unkindly from the start. Anyone who orders something during peak times in holiday areas should be aware of the long wait for food, but why guests who initially ordered take-away but then decided to eat on site due to a storm are scared away from their seats inexplicable to us... It's a shame that the operators don't make more of the great location and are simply ripping off the guests here. For us it was definitely the last visit to the restaurant!

Small pizzeria, only 4 tables inside, lots of outside seating, self-service!!! Grumpy, unfriendly owner. It's probably no longer necessary to be nice to the guests. Food nothing special. Red wine bad but expensive. There are far better Italian restaurants in Grömitz! We were there in the afternoon and were the only guests. Nevertheless, we had to pick up our things from the counter in a demonstrative way, As the only guests, we still felt like we were a nuisance. As he leaves, the boss says he is expecting 60 more people, he has enough to do. We live in Grömitz and will definitely not come back to eat here!!! How can this Italian be so out of touch?😩

Very good location, sunny outside even in the evenings. Ordering is done at the counter, self-service was okay for us. The boss was a bit grumpy at first, but was very happy about the praise for the very good food and was then very friendly. We had pizza, lasagna, mixed salad and fresh, homemade tiramisu. The pizza dough is to die for and baked crispy. Perfectly seasoned pizza sauce and beautifully topped. The lasagna was homemade and was also very tasty. The large mixed salad could have been a bit larger, but was fresh and crunchy. The tiramisu was a successful conclusion. We would eat there again at any time!

Not suitable for families… We wanted to have pizza in the evening with 4 adults and four children. When asked if we could exchange normal chairs for the children's chairs next door, we were asked whether we would prefer to order take-out. Our inquiry as to whether the restaurant would be closing soon was answered in the negative, but they would appreciate it if we didn't eat there... We then left with hungry children. In any case, we won't be seen again in Santa Maria...

We were there as a family and ordered takeaway. We waited about 35 minutes. Since the weather has worsened in the meantime, we ended up eating the pizzas at the tables in the (empty) outdoor area. After 5 minutes we were asked to leave because we had ordered take-away... In the meantime our children were insulted by the boss. Children's pizzas cost 7.50 euros and are about 1/4 the size of an adult pizza, which costs 9.90 euros... All in all, you get the impression that guests tend to be a nuisance...

We ordered a small salad, which was okay, as well as two pizzas and a Viennese-style pork schnitzel. Unfortunately, the pizzas were rather soggy and only just baked through. The pizza crust was acceptable. When ordering, the gentleman behind the counter wasn't particularly friendly and seemed quite annoyed. The drinks fridge was leaking, which meant all the drinks were very warm. Despite these circumstances, we grabbed two lukewarm bottles of Coke Zero and a Sprite. The schnitzel plate was a disappointment: a handful of fries and a schnitzel, without lemon or side salad, which made the presentation seem very bland. Overall, this was our first and last visit. The restaurant may be acceptable for a quick pizza order, but it is not a suitable address for a leisurely stay.

The pizzas were very tasty. Had an asparagus pizza. The pizza base was nice and thin and baked well. We arrived late to Grömitz and got pizza at Santa Maria at 8:40 p.m. (even though, as we discovered afterwards, it was already closed at 8 p.m.). Gladly again.

When I'm here I often order a pizza to take away. You can do it

The ambience itself is OK. It's a vacation spot. Unfortunately, the price for a mini schnitzel, which could have come from a bag, was completely overpriced. That was at most an expensive snack for €11.90 Then the opening times are not correct. It would close for one hour from 4 p.m. According to the menu, warm food is available every day from 12 p.m.

Pizza Hawaii and Pizza Santa Maria were super tasty, totally fresh, well topped, nice service, pleasant outdoor area. We'd love to come back.

We have known this pizzeria for many years when we had a boat in the marina. We went there again for the first time in 7 years and we still really enjoyed the pizza. Self service has always been there, and the prices are accordingly, at least for the pizzas. It is small and the atmosphere is not like that of a normal restaurant. Anyone who doesn't like it is free to go somewhere else. We once again had a good meal with you and will definitely come back when we visit Grömitz again.

Gutes Essen und freue Bedienung

Wir hatten eine Pizza Salami und einmal Garnelen Pasta. Die Pizza hat sehr gut geschmeckt, ausreichend Belag, nicht labbrig und ein sehr guter Rand. Die Garnelen Pasta war ebenfalls sehr lecker, gut gewürzt, al dente, aber es hätten ein paar Garnelen mehr sein können. Trotzdem sind wir mit dem Essen wirklich zufrieden gewesen. Das Ambiente außen ist okay. Die Lage am Yachthafen und die Sitzmöglichkeit in den Strandkörben haben Flair. Innen sieht es allerdings weniger gemütlich aus. Wir waren überrascht von der Selbstbedienung, da nicht wirklich viel los war und das Personal nur rumsaß. Der Kracher war allerdings die überhaupt nicht vorhandene Freundlichkeit des Personals. Sehr grimmig, schlecht gelaunt, scheinbar keine Lust auf den Job. Der Pizzabäcker hat den Pizzaschneider mit voller Wucht in die Pizza gerammt, dass uns angst und bange wurde. 🙈 Eine Mitarbeiterin hat, als wir das Geschirr zurückgebracht haben, immerhin ein "Danke" über die Lippen gebracht.

Netter Chef, Super Lage am Yachthafen, komme immer wieder gern zum anliefern :)

Schmeckt, Chef war bissel genervt, war aber nichts los

Wenn man bar bezahlt, keine Rechnung benötigt und einigermaßen anständig gekleidet ist dann sollte der Besuch ohne Probleme verlaufen ;) Achtung in einer Rezension die mir angezeigt wurde war die Speisekarte abfotografiert. Diese ist zwischenzeitlich nicht mehr aktuell; die Preise wurden bei den meisten Speisen um 1,00€ angehoben.

Äußerst freundlich, schnell und schmeckt gut

Wir kamen um 21 Uhr, der Besitzer sagte, dass sie eigentlich seid 20 Uhr zu haben. Aber netterweise hat er uns trotzdem noch unsere Pizzen gemacht und den Abend gerettet. Die Pizzen waren super lecker und ich kann die Pizzeria nur empfehlen, am besten aber dann innerhalb der Öffnungszeiten ;). Sehr freundlicher Umgang!!! Wir kommen wieder :)

Die Pizzen waren heiß und sehr lecker, der Salat war frisch und knackig. Der am Telefon angegebene Zeitraum für die Abholung wurde eingehalten. Wir können die schlechten Bewertungen nicht verstehen.

Die Pizza Margarita war okay, relativ dicker Boden und sehr fertig. Die Pizza Brokkoli/ Hähnchen/ Hollandaise war wässrig, der Brokkoli war nicht besonders lecker und die Qualität des Hähnchenfleisches war auch nicht so gut. Der Boden war auch nicht richtig durch. Schade, da die Lage echt schön ist.

Sieht aus wie ein Imbiss, ist aber ein richtig guter Italiener! Ich komme seit es ihn gibt und bin noch nie enttäuscht worden. Die Pizza ist perfekt, die beste die ich in Grömitz probiert habe. Mein Favorit, die Pizza "Diavolo". Die Pasta und die Lasagne sind sehr gut. Ich komme gerne immer wieder.

Super leckere, frisch gemachte Pizza! Wir hatten eine Salami und eine Schinken Pizza, gute Größe für einen günstigen Preis (je 8,90 €). Das macht einen schönen Urlaubstag perfekt! Vielen Dank!

Ich fasse kurz Zusammen: Deutlich Luft nach Oben: Wir bestellten zum Mitnehmen: Ofenkartoffel mit Sour Creme Pommes mit Mayo + Kurze Wartezeit + Ofenkartoffel war schön heiss + Ofenkartoffel hatte einen guten Geschmack + Pommes hatten einen guten Kartoffelgeschmack - Auf Nachfrage hin, ob Besteck dabei, kam vom Chef? ein Grunzen und dann wurde mir aus einer Box ein Plastiklöffel gegeben. - Mayo bei den Pommes fehlte, obwohl Bestellt und Bezahlt. Hatte kein Lust zurückzugehen, denn dann wären die Pommes kalt gewesen. - Pommes waren leider nicht knusprig und wurden daher nicht aufgegessen. Schade

Für mich was Preis, Qualität und Geschmack angeht, dass Beste was Grömitz an Pizza zu bieten hat. Immer wieder gerne.

Zufällig sind wir hier vorbei gekommen und haben draußen Platz genommen. Pizza und leckeren Salat haben wir gegessen. Nicht teuer. Herrlich ungezwungen und mit Selbstbedienung. Sowas mögen wir sehr und werden nächstes Jahr in unserem Grömitz Urlaub wiederkommen

Sehr öliges Essen, auf jeder Pizza schwamm das Öl auch die Spagetti schwammen im Öl. Ich würde nicht noch mal hingehen.

Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. So eine leckere Pizza und Lasagne haben wir noch nicht erlebt. Gleich zweimal hinter einander sind wir dort eingekehrt und bestimmt nicht zum letzten Mal. Preis Leistung sind super. Wir wurden auch sehr freundlich bedient, liegt vielleicht auch daran, wie man in den Wald reinruft.....

Sehr sehr leckeres Essen! Unbedingt die Lasagne mit hausgemachter Sauce bestellen. Soooo lecker. Die Pizza ebenso. Die beste, die wir im Vergleich zu zwei anderen in Grömitz gegessen haben. Die Preise sind auch total angemessen!

Die Pizzen waren okay, Durchschnitt würde ich sagen. Die Pasta war recht salzarm und somit eher etwas fade. Service (es gibt Selbstbedienung, keinen Tischservice) war auch durchschnittlich. Die aktuelle Bewertung (Stand Juli 2022) von ca. 3 von 5 Sternen ist somit zutreffend.

Haben jetzt schon mehrmals da bestellt, wirklich zu Frieden waren wir nie. Dazu noch extrem unfreundliche, meist einsilbige Bedienung, Kinder sind wohl das schlimmste, was man dem Laden antun kann. Meine Tochter hat sich gestern zum ersten mal dort hinein getraut und kam fast weinend wieder raus, so nett war mann zu ihr. Ich geb den Laden jetzt für mich auf, mein Geld nimmt man auch gerne woanders und ein Lächeln gibts meist kostenlos obendrauf!

Klasse Restaurant mit authentischen Besitzern. Man merkt richtig das da noch liebe im Essen steckt. Ich hatte die Pizza Diavolo mit etwas Knoblauch und einer leichten Schärfe. Auf Grund des allgemeinen Personal Mangels wurde hier auf Selbstbedienung umgestellt. Alles wurde bedacht und man hat einen schnellen und sehr höflichen Umgang mit seinen Gästen. Ganz lieben Dank… macht weiter so.

Lage direkt am Yachthafen sehr schön... Selbstbedienung...ist aber ok...wir hatten zwei verschiedene Pizzen...beide waren wirklich sehr gut, der Teig perfekt, nie besseren gegessen und meine scharfe Pizza mit Knoblauch hat meine Erwartungen bei Weitem übertroffen...sehr, sehr lecker...

Wir haben um die Ecke gewohnt und uns "Essen to go" abgeholt. Pizza (Diavola) und Currywurst/Pommes: super!
