Pizzeria Al Ponte in Grömitz

The pizza arrived super quickly and was a normal size :) Nice place, nicely decorated. Friendly service. It's the most expensive pizza on the street. The taste was very good. Slightly spicy (I had a salami pizza).

We stopped here by chance, as the pizzeria looks rather unassuming from the outside. It's located near the promenade, and parking is available. The ambiance was fine, albeit a bit dated. The service was fast and friendly. The food was incredibly delicious and absolutely reasonable. The selection surprised us. One criticism is the lack of card payments. We will definitely return here and recommend the restaurant.

We were here for the first time today and definitely won't be the last. The food was incredibly delicious, whether it was pizza or pasta. The service was excellent and very child-friendly. Sure, the decor is a bit dated, but that's definitely complaining at a high level. After all, you come here for the food, and it's absolutely fantastic!

We took pizza to the campsite in Blisdorf. The pizzas were very good. An Americana and a calzone, as well as a capricosa salad. Pizza rolls were also included. Everything was delicious 😋 5 stars👍

I've ordered takeout several times. The staff was friendly on the phone, and the food was ready in less than 20 minutes. The pizza was delicious, and the salami on the kids' pizza was excellent, as were the salad and antipasti. Highly recommended for a city center spot, and while you wait, you can go to the delicious ice cream parlor right next door, which is fantastic.

The food is a 5/5. Every time you visit Grömitz, you have to try at least one pizza and at least one of the pasta dishes "Rigatoni dello Chef" at Al Ponte. It's now a must for any Grömitz vacation. This pasta dish is unique; I haven't found anything as delicious anywhere else. Here, you'll find excellent value for money for the food. Unfortunately, card payments are not accepted.

Great value for money. The menu offers a truly wide selection of Italian dishes, especially the selection of pasta dishes. Everything tasted excellent. The service was very friendly and prompt. It's nice that there's quiet outdoor seating as well. The interior of the restaurant is a bit dated but still cozy. However, you can't pay by card, so please remember to bring cash.

This is our second time here. The food is good and not too expensive. The only downside was that the first time, there was a small, inconspicuous sign indicating that card payments were not accepted today. But that must have been at least two years ago.

Auf Empfehlung sind wir dort essen gewesen und ich kann nur Positives berichten. Das Restaurant ist zwar klein und man sitzt etwas dicht an seinem Tischnachbarn. Das ist aber nicht dramatisch. Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr nett. Das Essen (drei verschiedene Sorten Nudeln in einer Sahne Hacksauce, Tortellini mit Schinken Sahnesauce und Penne in Schinken Ei Sahne Sauce) war total lecker. Es war zwar sehr voll in dem Lokal. Trotzdem mussten wir nicht lange warten. Das selbstgemachte Tiramisu rundete einen tollen Abend ab. Knapp über 60 Euro hat die Rechnung betragen für 3 Essen plus einem Nachtisch und vier Getränke. Absolut akzeptabel.

These were the most flavorless and driest pizzas I've had in years. Absolutely disappointing and not recommended. For the first time in my life, I added salt to a pizza just to get some flavor.

Actually tasty, but the lasagna was a complete cheese bomb. It was too much, simply way too much cheese. We were still throwing up the next day. Maybe we should have gotten a pizza instead 🙈The lasagna tasted delicious, as were the salad and onion soup.

Dear El Ponte team, We were recently guests in your restaurant in Grömitz and would unfortunately like to make a complaint about the service that evening. Although your opening hours are officially stated until 10 p.m., we were informed around 9:15 p.m. - shortly after we ordered another drink - that you would be closing in 10 to 15 minutes. This information came surprisingly late and also contradicts the stated opening times. What was particularly disappointing, however, was the waiter's tone. He interrupted us rudely, turned off the music without any consideration and clearly gave us the feeling of being unwanted - even though we were still legally and temporally completely within the scope of your regular operations. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable for us as guests. Friendliness, communication and respectful interaction should be a given - especially in the catering industry. We ask you to take this feedback seriously and take appropriate action. Unfortunately, such an experience not only spoils the evening, but also the image of your restaurant.

The “restaurant” is completely overcrowded! There were five of us and we were seated at a table with other guests. We had 1.5 hours and then the table was reassigned, which was still okay. The waiter came and took the drink order and at the same time he wanted to take the food order. I hadn't chosen yet, he said I had to hurry up and other guests would also be waiting 🤨 He walked away....... After a while I asked if I could order too. Then I did that. The guests in the restaurant changed and new ones arrived. EVERYONE who came after us got their food before us. We were completely ignored! When I asked why everyone but we didn't get their food, I was told that we would have to wait. That was probably the punishment………. We got our food at 7:20 p.m. Starter and main course together. We no longer accepted the starter. If you want to eat comfortably in a pleasant atmosphere, you should avoid this restaurant. The waiter, or whatever he is, is beyond rude!! The food mediocre. We then ate our dessert in another restaurant. This is how New Year’s Eve ended beautifully😃

DISASTER! I could write a novel here, but I'll just summarize: -You are seated at strange tables without being asked, despite a reservation and without any agreement, neither with us nor with other guests. -You have one hour to stay in the “restaurant”, this is clearly stated when you “throw the menu on the table”, there are only 4 cards for 5 people. - you have about 2 minutes to choose your food. If you don't make it in time, the waiter will scold you. - if you don't make it in time, you won't have anything to eat for a long, long time. Pretty fatal, after all, time is running out! - You don't need to order starters either, they come with the main course. This is something that still needs to be discussed. But there is no time to discuss, time is running out! - You wolf down the food quickly, and the food itself was delicious. - while we were eating, I suddenly woke up at the next table. There the gentlemen had eaten and chatted and drank. Suddenly the waiter came to them and literally said: “You've eaten now, you have to go now!” The guests replied that they still had full glasses and their time was far from over. You can see all of this because the store is quite small. Embarrassing: while the finished meal is still being discussed, the new guests are already standing behind the waiter. The new guests were also immediately stunned by this approach. CONCLUSION: Leave it alone, go somewhere else where you are welcome as a holidaymaker. You are definitely not welcome there and if you read other reviews here, then our experience was not an isolated case.

Service was bad. Everything had to happen as quickly as possible. The family was not even allowed to sit at a table next to us for long after dinner.

Today, January 1st, 2025, it was pure mass processing. You were literally rushed through the meal and ultimately the waiter said: the next guests were literally thrown out. Even the good food is of no use. It was absolutely rude from start to finish and not worth a tip. We had to drink the last glass of wine in one go so we wouldn't have to leave it alone.

Crowded and cramped place, but you know that from Italy. Accordingly, the volume. But really delicious food (homemade pasta) and very nice service and friendly staff even when the shop was packed. We liked it a lot.

The ambience is fine, but I wasn't even remotely convinced. My pizza mista was delicious, I can recommend it. Unfortunately, the service wasn't convincing at all. The employee only ever responded when asked to do so. He was interested in all sorts of things, but hardly ever checked on his guests' well-being. That seemed pretty disinterested. Card payment was not possible. I didn't feel comfortable there. I would probably get a pizza to take away there again.

Very tasty Italian food and very good service

We were very happy that we spontaneously got a table for four people after a sporting event. And when the cards were half thrown on the table and the waiter was gone again. I didn't think this was nice either, but the shop was very full and the waiter was probably very stressed (and perhaps still "new"). I also overlooked the greasy menu... On the first page there was a note saying that if you have any questions about a dish or would like a change, please feel free to speak to the staff. I thought that was nice. The waiter (with short-shaven hair), as mentioned several times in the other reviews, was so unfriendly and annoyed. I had a question, and he replied: he didn't have time for something like that, after all, everything was on the cards and he was gone! At first we thought he was joking... we canceled my friends' order and left the restaurant immediately. There are so many other options for delicious food in Grömitz. This behavior is a “NO GO” these days!!! Unfortunately I had to give it one star.

If I could give 0 stars, I would, we couldn't even enjoy eating there because the service staff was so rude that we left immediately! My friend just wanted to ask a question about the food and was immediately told she should read it herself; He didn't have time to answer questions and took the card away from her! Impossible! A male service worker with a bald head pointed out to us as soon as we sat down that the kitchen would be closing in 5 minutes! When he said that there was enough to do today, unfortunately he did that to every guest! Food was great, you should rethink the service!

First I have to say that we find the food itself delicious, so we usually came to eat every holiday. During our previous visits, however, we have repeatedly noticed that the restaurant is only interested in money/profit and that customer service is completely unimportant. During one visit, we put together our own pizza (ham, salami, onions, pepperoni) and therefore came to a price of over €20, as everything was billed as an extra request (the most expensive pizza on the menu is under this amount). We have never experienced anything like this in a pizzeria. Today we were in the restaurant again and ordered a salad, but we weren't asked about the dressing, the salad came to the table with vinegar/oil and we asked for a yoghurt dressing, again an extra request for €2. Unfortunately, my wife didn't quite finish the pizza; wrapping it also cost another €1. We have never experienced all of this in any holiday destination. But you can do it with tourists. Despite the food, we will avoid the restaurant in the future.

Damn tightly packed tables. Any tighter and you would have to crawl over the tables. Pizza is also made a bit too carelessly. Partially until the dough is black... Not so nice. Service, well, what do you expect from a tourist booth? It's just "delivered".... There's room for improvement... But only if you don't want to be like some tourist pizza stall ;-)... I therefore recommend a small Italian restaurant, very close by and within easy walking distance, if you just turn left out of the shop, just before the "Grömitz-Center" follow the street to the right, then you will come across the "AJA" in the Strandallee, corner of “am Strande”, this gem of an original Italian restaurant. Well, the “art” on display is a matter of taste. Of course the food too ;:-))). But everything fits perfectly and is original Italian...

The service is very nice and quick, but the dining room needs a make-over as it seems very old-fashioned and, above all, cramped. It is also very loud in the guest room. The food was okay, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. We had carpaccio as a starter, which was barely edible because of all the lemon juice. This should then be left to the guest themselves. Pizza and pasta were okay, but as I said there is still a lot of room for improvement. And what I see as a big drawback is that you can't pay by card.

We ordered bruschetta, which was served on pizza base instead of baguette. Just terrible. Since we didn't tip enough in the eyes of the waiter, we were shown the middle finger. Below all dignity. We will never enter the restaurant again.

The 5 of us wanted to sit outside and we were not allowed to sit outside because there were only tables for 4 people, there was no other solution, even though there was enough space for a 5 chair. We weren't even offered a seat inside and were basically left standing. I have never experienced such bad service! Super unfriendly & not worth our money.

Service wasn't very friendly. The food was OK. After eating we were immediately presented with the bill, even though we would have liked to have had something to drink. That was a sign we should leave (expulsion). There were maybe 6 people in the restaurant. There can be no lack of overwork.

Unfortunately we can only confirm the bad reviews. We have been here several times and have always been satisfied. But today the plates were cleared and the bill was brought straight away without being asked. No chance of ordering dessert or another drink. The bald waiter (unskilled) was just cheeky and rude. This company cannot be recommended. Despite the good food, you have to give it a wide berth. It's a shame, with decent service this would be a recommendation.

You can't complain about the food, it wasn't particularly amazing but everyone enjoyed it. The restaurant is not very well located, as people are constantly walking past, but it is nicely decorated and you feel comfortable. The employees all seem friendly at first, but (I can only say this about one specific person) they seem quite arrogant and we experienced two times where a tip was simply refused, as if it wasn't enough for him. This of course affects the overall impression. But overall you can't really complain.

The food is always really hot and especially the dishes with the homemade noodles are very tasty. The entire team is always very nice. We like to come back to this pizzeria again and again.

NO CARD PAYMENT!!! Overall the place is getting old. Very narrow guest room with maximum seating. Loud acoustics and music. Service was quick and friendly with a full house. The food wasn't good. On the pizza with anchovies, large areas were not used at all, very sparingly here and there. Also very weak in taste. The olives still had their pits and were not only hot, but also dried dead after baking and without any taste. Conclusion: typical tourist trap with low performance for quick CASH! Not recommendable !

Sales, sales - if you just sit down at the table with your friends and just order something to drink - FLY!! That's what happened, we thought it was a joke, but no, bye, we were allowed to pay and leave. We didn't get enough change back. For the small beers we ordered, our friends also simply gave us large ones. That was the case before. Of course it brings more sales. Anyone who goes there should pay attention to what they order and what they actually get. We have never experienced anything like that in Grömitz. Food was ok, but nothing special. The waiter was a disgrace. Wrong, more expensive food charged. When asked about it, he immediately became mushy and didn't want to correct the bill. "Of course the boss wouldn't be there!" Then we were bid farewell amid Italian insults. Total tourist rip off!

We won't eat there anymore!

We were there around 2 - 3 p.m. the restaurant was pretty empty at the time (pleasant) we ordered bruschetta, a tomato soup and 3 pizzas, plus 3 cokes, we paid €81 for Grömitz, it was limited, the food was plentiful but tasteful Room for improvement, I can still recommend it.

Whenever we are in Grömitz we HAVE to come here. I mean, it's the best noodles in the world after all😉 The employees are always very nice and friendly. The dishes are all very good and of high quality, you can just taste it🫶🏻 Simply a 10/10 again and again🍓🫶🏻

Never go back in. Disaster, the people from Kern are really unfriendly and even send people out who are still eating or want to order a drink, supposedly the tables are reserved.

We took 3 pizzas with us today and enjoyed them on the beach. The pizzas are freshly prepared. We were very happy with everything and even infected other people with it on the beach. :) yummmyy

Had a soup as a starter, I think it was number 33. For my main course I had number 90. Baked spaghetti. Still had 2 cola wheat. So there was no way I was drunk. Apart from the fact that we had to wait a long time for food and drinks, I had a slight urge to vomit after paying. I barely made it home before breaking it all out again. I can't recommend the "restaurant" more.

Spaghetti with shrimp, very tasty. Inexpensive 17.90 and beef fillet with fries and peppers and tomato sauce, also very tasty. Inexpensive 29.90 euros.
