Always a pleasure - including the best fish far and wide! And very nice service, especially from the very polite Alex, who repeats an order so that nothing wrong is served and also gives interim notices - great! But everyone else is also very nice and friendly. Thank you ! Plus the great location and the fact that you have the entire selection even at 4 in the afternoon.

Es war bereits das zweite Mal, dass ich dort mit meiner Familie gewesen bin. Ich habe nur Getränke dort ausprobiert und keine Mahlzeit, aber die Atmosphäre, den Service hat mir gefallen. Ich gehe gerne dort hin.

Simply disappointment! We ate there for the first time, the food wasn't at all acceptable considering the price, I expected fine cuisine given the prices. Service was okay. Every now and then you are asked everywhere whether everything is OK/whether it tasted good/would you like anything else from MA. The toilets looked really bad. Never again!

On June 19th we had the pleasure of visiting the Sansibar restaurant in Stuttgart on business. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the manager and were allowed to look around the entire restaurant. We had the opportunity to take both photos and videos, which was extremely helpful for us. We were particularly impressed by the stylish design and high-quality furnishings of the restaurant. The interiors are almost enchantingly designed, which makes the ambience very inviting and unique. The terrace is also beautiful and invites you to linger - perfect for enjoying outdoor dining on a warm day. Another plus point is that the restaurant is barrier-free, making it accessible to all guests. The staff was consistently friendly and accommodating to us, which made our visit a completely positive experience. Overall, we can highly recommend Sansibar to anyone looking for a first-class restaurant in Stuttgart. We are already looking forward to our next visit!

Many thanks to Anja for the friendly service! My godmother (Christa Muser) and I are still thrilled about what we experienced last Saturday. The food (currywurst, fries and fruit ice cream for dessert) tasted excellent!!!😋 Simply great!👍👍👍We would love to come back!🙂😉

There were two Spritz and one Kaiserschmarren. Prices are quite high, but the Ksiserschmarrn was more like a baked mare. Were very disappointed and they still charge €21 for it.

The food is usually very good, and alcoholic drinks are always very tasty, but in my opinion the prices are a bit too high for the service offered. You definitely pay for the location, ambience and feeling here. Audience is commensurate with the prices. In the summer it's nice to sit outside and watch people walk by. Perfect for a cool drink or a small snack after a busy day of shopping.

Ambience and food great! Service staff grade 1. Quality of the food was great. But you really have to say that the prices have gone up a lot. For fries that we used to pay 9 euros we now pay 15 euros. Are truffle fries. Thanks for Saturday to Mr. Branko (sorry if the name was spelled wrong) We enjoyed ourselves very much there Felt!

A bland imitation of herself... For us, “Zanzibar” means dunes, the North Sea, fresh wind and very fine food. So it was definitely our mistake to sit there in front of the Breuninger with these feelings in mind after a successful day of shopping. BUT: with the same prices as in the main store, you can at least expect approximately the same quality. Not at all: the fries with truffles were lukewarm, the sauce for the currywurst was a bit dried out (yes, it was warm yesterday) and the sausage skin was hard and difficult to cut, the taste was “ok”. The Maultaschen had almost more roasted onions on the plate, some of the potato slices in the potato salad were still hard and the taste was like that (an absolute no-go for Maultaschen in Swabia. With the cola and the water everything was OK (although not much can go wrong). Conclusion: only the original please, there are plenty of very tasty alternatives in STG)

Wir haben diesmal nur etwas getrunken. Es war an einem schönen Sommertag viel zu tun. Der Service war nicht gerade aufmerksam, wir haben ca. 15 Minuten gewartet bis man die Bestellung aufgenommen hat. Ganz schlimm fand ich das alle Getränke in der Hand getragen an den Tisch gebracht wurden. Sind der Sansibar die Servier-Tabletts ausgegangen? Ganz besonders entsetzt waren wir vom Zustand der Gäste-Toiletten. Schon auf dem Weg zur Toilette Wiesen weggeworfene Papiertücher den Weg. Die Toilette schmutzig und zum Teil defekt. Das ist einem Restaurant im Breuninger NICHT würdig! Und ich muss meinem „Vorredner“ recht geben: Es riecht recht penetrant nach Fisch.

The prices are very high for the quality offered. Truffle fries cost €15, but they are frozen fries drizzled with truffle oil. Don't fall off your stool. A spritzer costs €5 - so there is no relation. Only the location is nice and the service is very nice.

Not quite the original, but almost. It would be the icing on the cake if sand waves and beach chairs sweetened your time while eating. Food 🔝 There was about too much arugula for my taste today. Otherwise, as always, brilliantly good.👍

Nachdem wir öfters in der Sansibar in Düsseldorf waren, sind wir davon ausgegangen, dass wir hier denselben Standard antreffen. Leider war dem nicht so. Schon am Eingang kam uns ein penetranter Fischgeruch entgegen. Vorab baten wir um etwas Olivenöl, das wurde auch gebracht aber kein Brot. Deshalb nachgefragt, hieß es, bei den bestellten Austern wäre Brot dabei und die kämen sofort. Es war also keine Zeit, vorher etwas Brot zu essen. Leider waren die Austern auch nicht von der Qualität, wie wir es gewohnt sind. Die Currywurst war nur lauwarm und die Pommes sahen aus, wie wenn das Reste waren. Wir baten, uns neue zu bringen, die aber auch nicht viel besser waren. Die freundliche Bedienung entschuldigte sich mit einem Espresso, das war eine nette Geste, kann aber den insgesamt eher schlechten Eindruck nicht kompensieren.

Food got wrong 3 times, Wague steak was ordered medium sized and then was eaten despite being raw... rump steak and burger rock hard and the point is for the tartare because it was really great.. we don't come here anymore

Last night in Germany after a weeks holiday. Had walked past a few times and had drinks before but decided to eat. Great friendly staff - our waiter was excellent (he looked like a famous cricketer from the 80s Viv Richards), made some great suggestions. Had the Cesar salad - great and lovely sharing dessert. Hard to fault. Would come again.

We were back in Zanzibar today to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Short conclusion: We won't be coming back. After many years in which we visited the Zanzibar and judged it very well, we have now reached the lowest point. Not only, that the “daily menu” feels like it has been 95% unchanged or recurring for years, and the quality has now reached brewery standards. That may not be bad, but not for these prices... Example: Wiener Schnitzel for 32 euros... absolutely ok for veal, but please with a crispy breading. Cranberries would have been nice too. I don't want to comment on the oysters on offer. At first I thought someone had already eaten them. Comment...they are just that currently like that. Maybe one of those responsible will stop by the nearby fresh food paradise to see what an oyster looks like. Also nice: We wanted to take a leftover schnitzel with us and have it packed up. Unfortunately, that wasn't possible because we no longer had any packaging materials "to avoid waste because of the environment." Everyone can decide for themselves whether it is better to throw away the food. We helped ourselves because the alternative offered to buy a box for 5 euros was, to be honest, too bad for me. Service was very attentive. All in all very disappointing. It's a shame, I actually always enjoyed being there. P.S. With a tip of 14 euros, I would have been happy with a “thank you”. PPS. The toilets are limbo. This is the lowest level of the station!

The Boullanaisse fish soup had a taste as if a fish stock had simply been poured in, not the broth from boiled fish. In such a high-priced restaurant I expected more and hoped for more from the food and taste. The cappuccino was good.

Great location, great restaurant. I'm always there when I'm in Stuttgart. That is often. Usually the service is great. I've already given it five stars. Yesterday we had a bill of €400 in a group with some bottles of wine but the worst service we have ever experienced. In this price range it has to work better. Even if there is a lot going on on the first sunny day of the year. Being completely ignored by the waiter, getting the food but no cutlery despite asking three times, waiting over an hour for drinks. The waiter repeatedly forgot things, but never wrote them down. Unacceptable.

The request for a window seat was accepted, thank you very much for that. Burger was okay but for the price it could be more original. But the monkfish was a culinary delight! Carpaccio is a dream and worth the money! Buffalo curry sausage is original, but you expect more compared to the original. Kaiserschmarren delicious, enough for 2 people for 4. Great service. Please buy higher quality glasses, 2 burst and a colleague scratched his hand.

The cappuccino is really very good. The restaurant manager is always very pleasant and hospitable, which unfortunately does not apply to all employees.

My Lady is a big fan and the two times I have been there it was nothing to complain about at all. More on the expensive side but pretty much about right from what's being delivered. Super fast service almost too quick but hey is that something to complain about .

For a quick little breakfast - ideal! We arranged to meet here for breakfast on Saturday morning. The menu is small (approx. 4-5 dishes) but we quickly agreed ;) Portions absolutely fine - good price/performance ratio. Service very attentive and friendly! We had the Zanzibar's fish pot. What should I write: Average taste. The soup was only lukewarm on both plates. The fish was also very clearly distributed in the soup. For the entire portion, the price is extremely “sporty” at 21.50 euros per portion. Service was ok.

Food was OK today, January 25th, 2024. , but the portion of Matjes Hausfrauen style with 21/2 fillets at a price of 23.50 per portion is disproportionately small, almost outrageous with a bunch of cheap salad and fried potatoes. Due to increased demand, several portions must have been made from one portion! My tip: just say, for example, there is only one portion left and don't just go through with the order despite the manhel being available!

Zwei Frauen bekommen den schlechten Tisch. Zwei Männer den am Fenster. Wirklich? Euer Ernst? Der Cesar’s Salat war lecker. Der Preis dafür zu hoch. Unser Servicemitarbeiter hat sich mehrfach vertan. Vielleicht müssen sie besser bezahlen, dann wird die Qualität hier auch besser.

I was here on December 28th, 2023 and I have to say it was really tasty and the service was great. After a wonderful day in Stuttgart, we found a place here and enjoyed a delicious meal. Despite the high number of guests, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. So we would love to come back.

Wow, dear readers, In the ZANSIBAR there is a small elevator with which you can get to the DISABLED toilet with a wheelchair. PERFECT. AND FOOD, DRINK and everything else is also TOP. PERFECT.....

Super essen! Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Steaks und der Burger. Sehr freundliches Personal. Wenn viel los ist muss man zwar etwas länger warten aber durch die schöne Atmosphäre ob drinnen oder drausen problemlos aus zu halten. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu euch. ————————————————————— Nach 5 Jahren muss ich leider meine positive Rezession, etwas verändern. Und dass leider zum negativen. Wir waren in den letzten beiden Wochen 2 mal zum Essen dort und wir finden dass die Qualität der Speisen sehr sehr nachgelassen hat aber dafür die Preise angezogen haben! Dass Burger Fleisch hat nach einem billigen fertig geformten Fleisch geschmeckt und war eig ungenießbar - die Pommes bekommt man nur noch kalt oder lauwarm, die Fischsuppe ist genauso fade und lauwarm. Auch die Toilette bei beiden Besuchen war in einem desaströsen Zustand und sorry stand vor Dreck! Und sowas geht gar nicht! Auch bekommt man langsam den Eindruck dass sich manche unter dem „Namen“ was einbilden aber sorry wenn die Qualität nicht mehr stimmt dann kann der Name noch so groß sein. Die „Kunden“ sind nicht blöd und es gibt wirklich genug Restaurants in umliegender Nähe die genauso gut, wenn nicht besser sind.

Seit Eröffnung der Sansibar Stuttgart sind wir Stammgäste. Die Küche - verantwortlich Chefkoch Götz Rothacker - und somit die Qualität der Speisen - ist hervorragend. Götz Rothacker ist ein absoluter Spitzenkoch, ohne Starallüren - kurz gesagt, es schmeckt sehr sehr gut. In welchem Restaurant in Stuttgart oder Umgebung findet man eine solch umfangreiche Auswahl an Fischgerichten ! Wermutstropfen - ja, den gibt es. Wir sind in Württemberg, warum dann nicht auch mal einen Rostbraten, Sauerbraten oder Gaisburger Marsch, - oder andere schwäbische Gerichte mit anbieten. ? Vielleicht kann als Schwabe (Calwer) Götz Rothacker diesem Wunsch Sympathie entgegenbringen ! Andre Greven ist Betriebsleiter der Sansibar Stuttgart. Seine freundliche, offene Art überträgt sich auch auf die Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter im Service . Meine Frau und ich wurden hier nie enttäuscht. Eine Bitte an die Betriebsleitung - auf der Weinkarte gibt es so gut wie keine Württemberger Weine - weiß oder rot. Viele Württemberger Weine haben eine hohe Qualität mit zahlreichen Auszeichnungen. The food is way to overpriced for what is served. I had the Currywurst and the Kaiserschmarrn. The skin of the sausage was very thick and the sauce was good but not worth the price. The Kaiserschmarrn on the other hand was very well served (3 person can easily divide it) with 3 accompaniment that fits the dish very well. For the service: the waiters are always under stress and very unpolite. Not costumer oriented at all. If you want to sit outside prepare yourself for waiting. We waited 10-15 min just to get the information that we would have to wait around half an hour to get a table outside. For that we chose to sit inside, to have one of the worst services I have ever had. The waiter didn't look us in the eye and said that we are not the only costumers in the location and that we should chill handing us the menu after we waited there already 10min. The place inside was almost empty, so that the other collegues had even time to get updated with the latest gossip. The atmosphere of the place is modern german, with a fluch of fancyness but still relaxed. Anyway, for being in one of the most expensive areas in Stuttgart I aspected a different quality and service specially looking at the prices on the menu. Wouldn't recommend this place at any costs

Das ist so ein schönes, edles Restaurant und man bekommt dort sofort ein Urlaubsfeeling und denkt an den letzten Sylt-Aufenthalt. Das Essen ist ein Traum und liebevoll angerichtet - mehr kann man dazu nicht sagen! Für besondere Momente sehr zu empfehlen. Bedienung ist auch nett.

Essen in der Regel sehr gut. Wenn voll wird es mit dem Service etwas schwieriger. Aber heute mal wieder am Nachmittag 23 Grad und der Außenbereich geschlossen. Sehr schade, ist aber häufig so.

Dienstleistung geht anders ! Essen nach Preisleistung nicht akzeptabel, bei den Preisen erwarte ich als Gast eine gehobene Küche. Service bemüht, aber nicht gut. Die Toiletten sahen Katastrophal aus. Super Ambiente auf der Terrasse, das war’s dann aber schon. Unter der Woche bestimmt ganz gut für einen Besuch und einen Drink.

The restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have been to in the Stuttgart-Tuebingen area. They have a balanced selection of dishes to order from and the ambiance is fancy, yet cosy. Even though their menu is not gluten-free, the waiter confirmed they can make almost any dish gluten-free and in a separate pan. Also, their chef used to be a 3-star Michelin chef.

Wir waren am Samstagmittag zu dritt in der Sansibar. Der Service war unterirdisch. Wir wurden Lange am Eingang vom Personal ignoriert. Endlich am Tisch angekommen kam sehr lange keiner zu uns, erst bei erneuter Nachfrage bekamen wir die Speisekarte. Es hat alle sehr lange gedauert von der Bestellung bis zum servieren der Getränke und der Speisen. Die Trüffel-Pommes zu unserem Steak waren lauwarm und unser Steak hatte nicht die gewünschte Garstufe. Bei den Preisen sind wir als oft ausgehende Gäste anderen Service und Umgang gewohnt. Schade!

I recently visited this restaurant and opted for the salmon which indeed lived up to the expectations; it was excellently prepared, showcasing a great balance of flavors and textures that are a testament to the chef's prowess in handling seafood. However, I found the service to be a tad slow which slightly dampened the dining experience. While it wasn't a deal-breaker, there's certainly room for improvement in that department to truly elevate the dining experience to a level commensurate with the high quality of the food served. That being said, the greatness of the salmon dish itself certainly encourages a return visit. I would recommend this place to fellow seafood aficionados, with a note to perhaps avoid peak hours to ensure a smoother service experience. I hope this helps! Essen war wie immer super. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich aber den Service von John. Ein wirklich sehr zuvorkommender und freundlicher Mitarbeiter. Wir haben uns alle sehr wohlgefühlt bei ihm.

Wir waren gestern Abend zu 4 zum Essen da! Super lecker! Nach der Vorspeise und dem Hauptgang hätten wir um 21.30 Uhr gerne noch einen Kaiserschmarren gegessen. Leider war die Küche schon zu! Finde man könnte das auf die Karte schreiben oder zumindest nachfragen. Sehr sehr schade ☹️

Beim vorletzten mal hab ich noch was gesagt und für den Fehler wurde sich entschuldigt, diesmal hat mich zwar meine Begleitung noch drauf hingewiesen aber irgendwann sagt man nichts mehr... Kommen nicht wieder

Hyggeligt at sidde udenfor. God mad og fin betjening. Specielt deres cheeseburger med trøffel fries var populær hos vores to drenge. 4 hovedretter, 2 små sodavand og 2 små øl blev 110 eur.

Top Restaurant mit einem Innen-und Außenbereich in bester Lage (Dorotheen Quartier). Die Speisen sind sehr lecker und frisch. Der Preis ist etwas gehoben, jedoch bekommt man Spitzenqualität. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Reservierung vor dem Besuch ist ratsam.

Leider die Mitarbeiter oder Türsteher sind nicht korrekt. obwohl man gut angezogen ist und mit paar männliche Begleitung hat, kommt man nicht rein ansonsten ist die Ambiente sehr gut!
