Samui Thai in Düsseldorf

Samui ist wahrscheinlich mein liebstes Thai-Restaurant in ganz Düsseldorf. Es ist nie überfüllt und ich muss nie auf einen Tisch warten. Das Essen war insgesamt gut, allerdings sehr scharf, also Vorsicht! Die Inhaber waren immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Manchmal schmeckte das Essen etwas komisch, deshalb nur 4 von 5 Sternen. Trotzdem würde ich wiederkommen, wenn ich Lust auf authentisches Thai-Essen habe. Und ihr Thai-Grüntee ist einfach fantastisch!

Das Essen sah nicht so aus wie auf dem Bild, es war teuer und hat nicht geschmeckt :))

Leider war ich sehr enttäuscht. Das Essen hat nicht geschmeckt und wirkte nicht frisch. Der Service war unfreundlich und wenig aufmerksam. Auch die Atmosphäre konnte den Besuch nicht angenehmer machen. Insgesamt keine Empfehlung.

Das Essen war nicht mehr so ​​gut wie früher. Die Zutaten waren nicht frisch und rochen schlecht. Ich habe den Besitzer informiert, aber der Koch war unzufrieden, meinte, das sei normal und wollte die Wahrheit nicht wahrhaben.

Eines, was ich bei diesem Besuch bereut habe, ist, dass ich mir vielleicht doch vorher die Bewertungen hätte durchlesen sollen. Über Geschmack kann man natürlich diskutieren, aber unserem Geschmack (5 Erwachsene) entsprach das Essen leider nicht. Der Service wirkte zudem etwas von oben herab: kein „Bitte“, keine Nachfrage zu Beilagen oder Supplements, sondern eher Kontrollgänge. Es wurde nicht einmal gefragt, ob wir fertig mit dem Essen waren – stattdessen wurde einfach stumm abgeräumt.

Wir waren spät noch auf der Suche nach einem Thai-Abendessen. Essen war sehr gut, schön angerichtet, mit schneller Bedienung. Authentisch und sehr empfehlenswert!

Ich habe schon oft in diesem Restaurant gegessen und normalerweise ist es immer gut und lecker. Heute war ich mit meiner Familie dort, um ihnen mein Lieblings-Thai-Restaurant in Düsseldorf vorzustellen. Leider war der Kellner unhöflich. Ich bestelle dort immer Thai-Tee mit Milch, aber dieses Mal war die Qualität einfach nicht mehr dieselbe. Er schmeckte fade, fast wie Wasser. Das Essen an sich ist gut und schmackhaft, aber normalerweise ist der Reis im Hauptgericht inbegriffen (1 Hauptgericht, 1 Portion Reis). Wir bestellten sechs Hauptgerichte, darunter einen ganzen Fisch, und der Kellner berechnete mir vier zusätzliche Portionen Reis! Da ich mit meiner Familie unterwegs war, wollte ich das nicht ansprechen. Deshalb muss ich meine Bewertung für dieses Restaurant senken. Ich bin vom Service sehr enttäuscht.

Für Thailänder ist das wirklich authentisches thailändisches Essen. Ich gebe 5 Sterne!

Früher habe ich dort immer gerne gegessen. Heute habe ich zum ersten Mal bestellt: Statt Pad Krapao wurden zähe Hähnchenstreifen geliefert. Kaum genießbar. Papaya Salat war zwar lecker aber steht mit den zwei Gabeln Inhalt in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis! Pad Thai wurde mit Garnelen bestellt, kam aber mit Hähnchen. War damit leider vorerst meine letzte Bestellung. 😔

Für mich das beste thailändische Essen in Düsseldorf, allerdings könnten die Portionen größer sein (und damit meine ich nicht mehr Reis). Ansonsten super!

Wirklich ein authentisches Pad Thai. Das Essen war super schnell am Platz und es war sehr lecker!

Normalerweise vergebe ich sehr ungern niedrige Bewertungen und freue mich, wenn ich 5 Sterne geben kann. In diesem Fall war ich jedoch leider sehr enttäuscht. Wir haben eine Suppe sowie ein Reisgericht bestellt. Bei einem Preis von jeweils 15,50 € waren die Portionen ausgesprochen klein und standen in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zum Preis. Geschmacklich konnte uns das Essen ebenfalls nicht überzeugen. Es fehlte deutlich an typischen Thai-Kräutern, und die Würzung war insgesamt sehr schwach. Wir reisen regelmäßig nach Thailand und sind mit der authentischen thailändischen Küche gut vertraut – leider hatte das servierte Essen damit kaum etwas gemein. Es wirkte eher wie europäische Küche mit einem angedeuteten, aber nicht gelungenen Thai-Einschlag.

Gai Pad Grapau bestellt. Lieferung kam sehr schnell. Das Essen war frisch, heiß und himmlisch lecker. Perfekte Schärfe. Ich bestelle bald wieder.

Die Hauptgerichte waren wirklich gut. Wir hatten Hühnchen mit Basilikum und Nudeln – super lecker und ausgewogen. Der Nachtisch war okay, aber nicht der Hit. Ich komme aber auf jeden Fall wieder, um die Hauptgerichte zu probieren.

Immer frisch zubereitet! Original Thailändisch essen.

I am not the best when it comes to handling spice, but at Samui Thai you get the perfect balance of flavor and spice! I started with a delicious raw prawn with chili and the Pad Thai was spot on with its sweet, sour and savory notes. Their Thai milk tea was a refreshing and sweet pause between dishes. The staff was also very friendly and thoughtful about adjusting the spice level to our liking.

Everything was really delicious, and I liked that the seasonings were authentic Thai, rather than tailored to German tastes. Even the dessert was really delicious.

One of the best Thai food experiences in Düsseldorf. I had Som Tam and Pad Thai, both were amazing.

Visited Samui Thai for lunch. The food was flavorful and nicely spiced – quite similar to what you’d expect in Thailand. The staff was friendly and accommodating with special requests. However, the portion sizes were rather small, especially considering the relatively high prices. Soft drinks were only available in 0.2 l servings, which felt a bit stingy. A major downside was the payment policy: only cash or EC card accepted – no debit or credit cards. That was inconvenient and really not up to today’s standards. Overall, it’s an okay spot for Thai food with authentic taste, but not without its drawbacks.

Small Thai restaurant with delicious and authentic Thai food. If you like iced tea, you should try the Thai Iced Tea. :) Unfortunately, they only accept cash, but it's recommended.

We've been searching for a long time for a Thai restaurant where the food tastes like it does in Thailand itself. We've found it here! The food tastes authentic, the prices are more than reasonable, and the atmosphere is friendly. The portions are generous, too. Highly recommended!

Ordered tom yum, beef noodles and fish with lime & chili. The tom yum and beef noodles are very authentic. You can taste the herbs from the soup base and it is very legit. I would say it is the only place in Europe so far that I ate and found such similarities with the ones in Thailand. The fish however is not very tasty. The chili & lime itself is very good but i don’t think they cooked the fish with the herbs long enough to absorb the taste. Hence, I needed to eat the fish with a bit of the herbs to have the flavors. The fish & tom yum noodles are super spicy tho. Beware if you can’t handle spicy food

Absolutely brilliant. Unfortunately, far too little is known. Pure Thailand feeling and super attentive service! The food was incredibly delicious, traditional and authentic. We'll definitely be back, that's for sure!

Careful, the owners serve raw chicken and when you ask them about that, they say there's nothing to worry about because apparently they don't know what a salmonella infection is. Very awful service and bad manners, never go there.

Super delicious Thai food. I was desperately looking for a good Thai restaurant in Düsseldorf and found it here. My aunt is originally from Thailand and it tastes just as good as it does at home. The service is friendly and the food is simply good. All in all 5 stars

An authentic and well-priced Thai in Düsseldorf! The selection on the menu is great and also illustrated. There are numerous Thai drinks and original dishes at reasonable prices. Main menus cost around 15 euros. The Thai soup was very tasty and authentic, the duck with green curry was one of the best I've eaten so far. The starter, on the other hand, is unfortunately a bit off, the prices sometimes seem like they've been diced, you can see very clearly where you have added value and where you don't. The two of us paid just under 50 euros with two main courses, a starter and drinks, which is definitely top for authentic cuisine at this level. Staff was very friendly and real Thais, overall a small location and a lot of Asians go here. The ambience could be made a little more homely, but it was okay, some authentic Thai furnishings.

A little out of the tourist line, so not overcrowded. Service comfortable, friendly and interested. Red curry sauce with peanuts very fine, slightly spicy on the finish. Super! Fruit juices are a bit sweet, that must be the case. Thai beer was great, not too bitter. I recommend the shop, especially since it is not too expensive in comparison (main course 12 to 18 euros)

Really good Thai restaurant. Tastes as it should. Papaya salad, beef salad. Had chicken with garlic and pad Thai. Then sticky rice mango. Everything tasted equally delicious! Highly recommended! Would definitely go back!

I have been visiting this restaurant for several years. I am always very satisfied with the quality of the dishes. The atmosphere is typically Thai and the service is very friendly. There are parking spaces on the street, but if there is no gap there is a small parking garage a few meters away. Card payment is possible here (but it's best to ask beforehand, I've had the device break down a few times) In the back area of ​​the restaurant there is also plenty of space for celebrations such as birthdays or similar.

Very good Thai cuisine with original Thai dishes apart from the usual coconut curry variants with different types of meat. Anyone looking for the original Thai taste will leave the restaurant happy! And at very reasonable prices 👍

I recently went back to this Thai restaurant that I liked before, but this time was a huge letdown, especially since I brought friends. First off, they only take cash—no cards or PayPal. I had to walk more than ten minutes to get cash, which was super inconvenient, especially for a bill over 100 euros. For a place like this, it's crazy they don't take cards. Secondly, the portions were tiny. We ordered five dishes for four people and it wasn't enough, so we had to order another dish. We left feeling still hungry and annoyed. And to top it off, one of our dishes was wrong. When I told the waiter, he was rude and didn’t even apologize. He just said, "Yeah, we got it wrong," like he didn’t care at all. It felt like we were bothering him, not the other way around. Overall, this visit was really disappointing and we won't be coming back. I'd suggest others skip this place too.

Lunch specials could be even cheaper, and payment is only possible in cash, which is why we won't be coming back. As soon as you have sumup, please let us know and we would try it again.

Papaya salad delicious. Pad Thai was okay, but I've had better ones. Overall good, reasonably priced food. Would come again. Unfortunately only cash payment, which is a bit annoying.

It's not authentic. We ordered Laab and Nam Tok, it was too sour. I feel like no real lime was used. Also, glutinous rice was very mushy.

We went to Samuì for the first time this afternoon after this restaurant was recommended to us as authentic. The waitress rather reluctantly gave us the lunch menu, whereupon we were offered curry and sweet and sour chicken with soup. When I asked for the correct card, the lady was amazed. We then ordered Som Tum with sticky rice and pork belly with rice. I ordered Som Tum extra spicy. A plate arrived with some papaya salad, but no garlic, fish sauce or chili. A touch of lime, some peanuts and a few beans. The sticky rice was just regular rice in a sticky rice basket. It also tasted like normal rice. But it was more expensive. Unfortunately the pork belly wasn't crispy at all, but in a very oily marinade with some peppers and beans. We then paid €45 for this meal and 2 Singha beers (0.33 l). All in all very disappointing and not at all tasty. May Aroi! Maybe someone who cooks more authentically will cook in the evening, but we won't try it.

Absolutely not recommended, please don't go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After we ordered we waited over an hour to get our food and we even ordered a salad. Even the most delicious dish does not justify such a waiting time, let alone that every dish is so salty!!!!!

I noticed since the second time that service wasn’t that good but ok because the food was good, so I keep coming there every time I’m craving for Thai food. BUT today I felt like I should not come here again. I told him in Thai(I’m also Thai.) I didn’t order this dish. he didn’t say a word but took it away instead. No smile, greeting or even „Thank you“ word out of his mouth when I paid. If you want to try Thai food. There are so many Thai restaurants in Düsseldorf. Try somewhere else.

Food was tasty, original Thai tasted. Price is okay, normal price for Thai restaurants here but the service was bad. First time I went there with my German bf, everything was good, service was okay but the 2nd and 3rd time I went with my Thai friends the service was very different! The stuff were not friendly to Thai people I don’t understand why. Delicious Thai food with a large variety of dish options.

Food is amazing, very thai authentic. The owner really nice and kind. I really got a good experiences here. Som tum poo pla la is my favorite.

Oh my god the food here is delicious. I had the grilled chicken and prawn fried rice. The serving portion is huge. I will be back to try more from their menu. I felt cozy in here, there was no crowd when I came in the afternoon of a weekday. The server was very nice. The Thai milk tea was extremely sweet though, so if that’s not to your liking make sure to request without sugar.

Das Essen war ausgesprochen gut und ist empfehlenswert. Dafür spricht auch, dass viele Landsleute im Restaurant waren, die dort aßen, was ich immer als Auszeichnung verstehe. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aber hat uns nur auf Aufforderung bedient. Größtes Manko an dem Abend war, dass das Essen sehr lang gedauert hat. Wir haben 40min auf die Vorspeise (Suppe und Hähnchenspieße) gewartet und der Hauptgang (gebratene Nudeln und rotes Curry) kam dann 70min später. Für ein Dessert war keine Zeit mehr, weil es ins Kino ging. Das war schade. Da das Essen sehr gut war, versuchen wir unser Glück noch einmal.

Authentische thailändische Küche. Sehr leckeres Essen, aufmerksamer Service! Der äußere Schein trügt, ein Besuch hier lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Wer schonmal in Thailand war, wird sich freuen mal annähernd gute Qualität in Deutschland zu finden.
