Alles top hat uns super gefallen.

Riesige überdachte Terrasse, mit absenkbaren Seitenfenstern. Schnelle Bedienung, Essen kam zügig. Preise ok. Schade, dass es zum köstlichen Salat mit Ziegenkäse kein Brot gab. Das Brett, auf dem der Flammkuchen serviert wurde, war noch ziemlich feucht. Das war nicht so appetitlich.

Waren heute zum essen dort. Der Service war super, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns "Hamburger" bestellt. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. Kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren schon sehr oft dort. Inzwischen sind wir mit dem Restaurant auch per Du. Die Besuche und das Ambiente haben uns so gut gefallen, dass wir dort sogar unsere Hochzeit gefeiert haben. Insbesondere der große Wintergarten bietet ausreichend Platz für eine solche Veranstaltung. Wir hatten insgesamt 80 Gäste eingeladen, und die Größe inkl. Tischanordnung haben perfekt gepasst. Bei den Vorbereitungen auf die Hochzeit hatten wir mehrere Termine mit dem Restaurant. Unsere Ansprüche waren sehr hoch, und trotzdem hat es uns an nichts gefehlt. Das Restaurant hatte alles im vorhinein vorbereitet, wie wir es uns gewünscht hatten. Uns wurde sogar das Appartement zur Verfügung gestellt, um dort unsere Gäste unterzubringen. Es hat uns an unserem besonderen Tag dort an nichts gefehlt. Selbst kurzfristige Aktionen wurden wie gewünscht umgesetzt. Wir kommen nach wie vor sehr gerne dort zu Besuch und können das Restaurant und sein Personal definitiv weiterempfehlen! Kommt einfach mal vorbei und schaut es euch selbst an. Großes Lob an den Saloon!

Auf der Suche nach einem griechischen Restaurant (das wir nirgends finden konnten und das sich zufällig direkt neben dem Bahnhof befand) landeten wir hier. Und wir haben es nicht bereut! Es war Montag, also schön ruhig, und wir bekamen einen tollen Platz am Fenster. Wir bestellten beide das gleiche Gericht: Cowboy-Schnitzel mit Zwiebeln, Speck und Spiegelei. Natürlich gab es dazu einen leckeren Salat und Pommes. Es war wirklich köstlich. Die Bedienung war super freundlich. Sie schauten regelmäßig vorbei, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung sei. Ein Kellner kam sogar extra vorbei, um zu fragen, ob wir etwas bräuchten, obwohl er gerade Pause hatte und aß! Das fanden wir bemerkenswert. So stelle ich mir Gastfreundschaft vor! Dieses Restaurant war, wie fast ganz Altenahr, komplett überflutet. Offensichtlich wurde viel Arbeit in die Restaurierung gesteckt, denn es sieht innen richtig gemütlich und schön aus. Auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

War hier am Samstag essen und leider sehr enttäuscht Schnitzel Jägerart 20€ positiv: -Bedienung 5 Sterne - Ambiente Bestuhlung 4 Sterne - Pommes 4 Sterne - Beilagen Salat 3 Sterne - das Essen war "schneller da als in einem Imbiss". 3 Sterne negativ: - Formschnitzel aus der Fritouse - Tütensoße mit ein paar Dosenpilzen 3.Wahl Tut mir leid aber dafür muss man nicht essen gehen

Dieses frischrenovierte Restaurant befindet sich zentral am Bahnhof in Altenahr Gute Parkmöglichkeiten und Aussicht auf die Ahr. Grosser Wintergarten. Die Speisen sind gut und ausreichend. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und man wird schnell bedient. Kurze Wartezeiten.

Gute Lage. Bedienung ok. Essen leider qualitativ nicht gut. Schnitzel ohne jeglichen Geschmack. Sauce ebenfalls. Fleisch definitiv kein frisches. Formfleisch TK. Bei Rückfragen ob alles ok ist, auf die absolut fehlenden Gewürze hingewiesen. Pfeffer und Salz wurde an den Tisch gebracht. Damit war das Essen aber auch nicht zu retten. Das Schnizel Cowboy ist mit roten in fett schwimmenden Zwiebeln. Wirkt dadurch sehr tranig und süss. Der Salat scheint im Gegensatz zu vielen andernen Lokalitäten kein Tüten Salat zu sein, sondern frisch. Man muss allerdings Dill sehr mögen. Also für uns das erste Mal nach Neueröffnung. Und erstmal das letztemal.

Wir haben ein Wochenende in der Ferienwohnung des Saloon in Altenahr verbracht und waren rundum begeistert. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig geschnitten, modern und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Besonders angenehm waren die zwei separaten Schlafzimmer mit sehr bequemen Betten, in denen wir hervorragend geschlafen haben. Alles war ausgesprochen sauber und gepflegt. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause gefühlt. Das zusätzlich gebuchte Frühstück war sehr lecker und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Auch am Abend konnten wir im Saloon hervorragend essen. Die Speisen waren frisch, lecker und der Service war durchweg freundlich und aufmerksam. Das gesamte Team war während unseres Aufenthalts überaus zuvorkommend, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit – wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder! 😊

Hier gibt es eine riesige Terrasse im Innen- und Außenbereich, und man kann hier gut essen.

Wir hatten diese Woche 3 Tage in der Ferienwohnung verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist sehr hell und für unseren Geschmack wunderschön eingerichtet. Es hat an nichts gefehlt und es kommen mindestens 6 Personen unter. Vor dem Saloon Altenahr gibt es genügend kostenlose Parkplätze. Innen und außen ist das Restaurant ebenfalls sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Es gibt einen schönen Wintergarten, wo man auch noch sitzen kann, wenn es draußen kühl wird. Im Sommer ist er offen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen. Danke für die schöne Zeit liebes Team vom Saloon Altenahr und weiterhin viel Erfolg.

Tolles Frühstück, sehr nettes Personal 🤗

Das Schnitzel war sehr trocken und klein, wirkte wie ein Tk-schnitzel. Die Pfeffersoße hatte kaum Geschmack und die pommes waren trocken und lasch. Für den Preis erwarte ich doch ein frisches Schnitzel und auch Pommes und Soße qualitativ hochwertiger, außerdem war die Portion sehr klein. Einzig der Beilagensalat war lecker und hatte ein gutes Dressing.

Ich war mit dem Motorrad unterwegs und habe dort Mittag gegessen.Schattiges Plätzchen,gute sehr leckere Burger.Das war der Beste,den ich je gegessen habe. Alles Hausgemacht

ich hatte einen Burger, das Rinderpatty war trocken und eine dickes Endstück Tomate lag drauf. Einfach lieblos genauso die BBQ Sauce war so ungleichmäßig das manche Stellen nur nach BBQ geschmeckt haben. Dazu gäbe es eine Mini Portion Pommes. Reichte nicht zum satt werden

Wahnsinnig freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Essen war ebenfalls hervorragend.

Wir waren am 13. Mai zum Abendessen mit 4 Personen plus Hund im Saloon in Altenahr, den Tisch hatte ich telefonisch reserviert. Sehr schöne Einrichtung im Wintergarten. Gegessen haben wir die Spareribs und die Mandelhähnchenbrust. Portion bei den Spareribs war gut, Qualität der Spareribs hatte ich schon besser. Die Portion beim Mandelhähnchen hätte größer sein dürfen, geschmeckt hat es aber. Service war in Ordnung, aber da ist bei dem jungen Mann noch Luft nach oben. Insgesamt gesehen müssen wir sagen das es uns in anderen Restaurants besser gefallen hat.

Absolute Empfehlung! Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Gastgeberfamilie ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend! Auch der Wein und die Cocktails haben super geschmeckt. Wir haben das Wochenende in der zugehörigen Ferienwohnung verbracht. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Auch das Frühstück war auch sehr gut. Wir kommen wieder!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Saloon in Altenahr. Die Steaks waren top und auch die Burger und Sparerips können wir absolut empfehlen. Der Service war aufmerksam und super freundlich, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Besonders gefreut hat uns die Überraschung zum Geburtstag unseres Sohnes – es gab extra ein Soufflé aufs Haus, was wirklich eine schöne Geste war. Sehr empfehlen können wir auch den Kaffee-Schnaps aus dem eigenen Haus. Zusammen mit dem tollen Blick auf die Ahr aus dem Wintergarten hat das den Abend perfekt abgerundet. Ein gelungener Abend, der uns noch lange gut in Erinnerung bleibt.

Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und kundenfreundliche Öffnungszeiten. Es ist schön zu sehen, dass Altenahr nach den verheerenden Überschwemmungen wieder zur Normalität zurückkehrt.

Das Gebäude wirkt frisch renoviert. Es ist gediegen und stilvoll eingerichtet. Im Außenbereich gibt es eine große Sitzfläche. Leider ist der Lärm der Straße sehr präsent. Der Service, eine junge Dame ist wirklich schnell, charmant und freundlich. Das Essen ist der Knackpunkt... die Gerichte sind eher hochpreisig. Die Leistung für den Preis bleibt die Küche allerdings schuldig. Die Region rechtfertigt nicht alles. Das Schnitzel war frittier und leider nicht in der Pfanne ausgebacken. Aber es war ok. Die Pommes - daran kann man nicht viel falsch machen. Die Jägersoße schmeckte leider wie in vielen Pommesbuden. Es scheint als wäre die Soße einem Eimer entsprungen aber essbar. Der Salat war frisch. Das Dressing war mies. So schlecht kann man es nicht selbst machen. Insgesamt wirkte das Essen ampitionslos. Dafür war der Preis deutlich zu hoch.

Dieses Restaurant wurde nach der Flutkatastrophe wunderschön wiederaufgebaut. Es gibt bereits wieder Touristen, aber noch sind nicht alle Schäden behoben. Sie würden sich sehr freuen, wenn alle vorbeikämen und beim Wiederaufbau helfen würden.

Nette Bedienung und die besten chicken mc Nuggets, die ich jemals gegessen habe. Allerdings war es die Kinderportion und nur auf meinen Wunsch hin, wurde eine Ausnahme gemacht, vielen Dank dafür, ich bin 63 Jahre alt. Es gab keine Seniorenportion. Wir sind eine Gruppe und alle sehr zufrieden mit den Speisen. Weiter so! Und vielen Dank.

Von der Terrasse aus hat man einen wunderschönen Blick auf die Ruinen am Berg.

Ärgerlich war es, dass es nur einer Winterspeisekarte vor Ort gab. In Internet wurden eine Vielzahl von Speisen angeboten, da wäre für jeden was dabei gewesen, aber so sind wir wieder gegangen. Es wäre mein Geburtstagsessen gewesen. 🤷‍♀️

Wir waren vor 1 Woche dort und das Ambiente hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt viel Platz, sowohl im Innen-, wie auch im Außenbereich. Die Servicekraft (Mann) war sehr freundlich, geduldig und aufmerksam, das Essen war gut bis sehr gut und alle wurden satt. Die Cocktails (auch alkoholfrei) sind zu empfehlen. Ich finde es gut, daß auch Hunde in den Innenbereich dürfen, das sie aber auf der Sitzbank sitzen und ihre Köpfe auf den Esstisch legen, finde ich eher unhygienisch und nicht richtig, auch, wenn ihre Besitzer evtl. Stammkunden sind.

Wir waren letztes Wochenende dreimal dort essen. Es hat uns super gefallen! Köstliches Essen! Reichlich davon! Tolle Atmosphäre und superfreundliches Personal! Wir können dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen! Auch unser Hund war herzlich willkommen.

Wir waren in der Weihnachtszeit für ein verlängertes Wochenende in der Gegend. Nachdem wir am ersten Abend hier essen waren, sind wir an den weiteren Tage auch hierhin gegangen. Das Personal freundlich, das Essen lecker und das Ambiente hat sofort eine weihnachtliche Stimmung verbreitet. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl und werden sicher wieder hier herkommen, wenn wir in der Gegend sind.

We stumbled upon the Altenahr Saloon today by chance during a drive and, although we only had drinks, we were very pleasantly surprised by everything. The ambiance was very tasteful and inviting. The service was very polite and friendly. A glance at the very appealing menu has definitely convinced us to visit the Altenahr Saloon again on our next trip to Altenahr. Good restaurants are sadly rare these days, but yours is definitely one of them.

Inedible Food – A Disaster! I really can't recommend this restaurant! We were there with a group, and the evening was a complete disappointment. The beginning was chaotic: Two meals were simply forgotten and didn't arrive until much later. That was just the beginning. When my main course – the spare ribs – was finally delivered, they were stone cold. I sent them back in the hope of a fresh portion. What happened next was a disgrace: They came back "quickly," but it was obvious that they hadn't been recooked, but had simply been carelessly reheated and "dressed up" with a bit of parsley. The result was shocking: The meat was extremely fatty, and the rapid reheating had rendered it completely inedible – dry in some places, mostly mushy in others. The side dishes, potato wedges and corn on the cob, also suffered from the reheating process and tasted stale. I pointed out to the server that the food was unacceptable. They then offered me a couple of drinks on the house. The most outrageous thing: Even though I only tried a small bite, I had to pay for the entire, inedible meal! They refused to remove it from the bill. In summary: Forgotten orders, ice-cold/reheated and greasy food, and inflexible service.

It's beautifully located with a large outdoor area, very comfortably furnished, and the service has always been very friendly. The food is top-quality and incredibly delicious. We eat there every time we're in the Ahr Valley.

A truly lovely restaurant, with very friendly staff and excellent food. Prices are reasonable. The only thing we didn't like was the smoking in the conservatory. We quickly moved inside and were very satisfied. We'd be happy to come back.

Last weekend, a group of three girls and I went to the Western Saloon for dinner and breakfast. Even though we only knew the old decor (before the flood) from photos, we can say that we really liked the new furniture, decor, etc. Very harmonious, with warm tones. The service was excellent: the waiters were friendly and efficient, and the owners were super nice (we immediately fell in love with them). Although it was very busy, we didn't wait long for our drinks and food. Quite the opposite. Everything was truly to our satisfaction. We felt very comfortable here – and that wasn't just because of the delicious wine ;-) The evening we were there, a DJ was playing in the restaurant – in keeping with the Altenahr wine festival – so you could immediately associate dinner with a party atmosphere. Therefore, I can't make an objective statement about the noise level :-) We also liked that. In addition to dinner, we also went there twice for breakfast. The breakfast buffet wasn't huge, but absolutely sufficient. We didn't miss a thing. We'll be back next year and spend a weekend in Altenahr, and a visit to the Western Saloon is a must for us. I'll be back in three weeks and stop here after the hike. I'm already looking forward to it :-)

Unfortunately, I didn't like the place at all. No one could explain why the DJ had to play the music so loudly during dinner time. I also find it questionable that he had to smoke while doing it. I found it extremely unpleasant.

What a wonderful meal we had. Thank you for that. After a beautiful hike to the Are Castle ruins, we had a good appetite. We'd love to come back.

The price-quality ratio is poor. The fries were undercooked and the schnitzel wasn't cooked properly. The breadcrumbs were mushy. We did get new fries, but they were barely any better. A shame for such a nice restaurant, but I wouldn't go back.

Very good food and fair prices, and the terrace on the Ahr River is very inviting. PS: Only the side dish portion (great fried potatoes) could be a bit larger.

I've been here several times on my motorcycle tours for a glass of wine – today we first stopped in for a drink and then later for dinner. A very nice shop, tastefully decorated, with a winter garden and currently a beer garden. Service is friendly and prompt, the food came quickly and was very tasty. Prices are reasonable and fair! We'll be stopping by more often! Now all that's left is to make the Ahr Valley and Altenahr region truly beautiful again (unfortunately, it's still very damaged in many places...)

The gentleman told me at the end in a very unfriendly voice that everything is prepared with fresh products, a different statement from the friendly lady, who gave a substantial answer. I hope the waitress doesn't get into trouble.

Hmm, how should I rate this restaurant? I'll actually limit myself to the service and the feeling of welcome. No friendly smile, a rude greeting. A waiter smoking in the winter garden, and a table occupied only by the service staff. Grim faces and no feeling of being welcome. A shame.

I had lunch today at a wonderful new restaurant, Saloon Foods & Drinks in Alenahr. The view from the patio is stunning. The lunch was delicious. I'll definitely eat here again.

Ambiente ist schön und angenehm. Entgegen der Versicherung des Personals bestand das Pfefferschnitzel aus Formfleisch und einer Tütensauce. Bratkartoffeln waren einfache zerschnittene Pellkartoffeln, über die einige Schinken Würfel und etwas Petersilie geworfen wurde. Schade, daß Lokal werden wir von der Liste streichen....

Very nice ambiance despite the surrounding flood-affected area. It's certainly not easy to establish a business base here again. We used to enjoy hiking around the area. Today we overcame our fears, and after a great hike with many views of the beautiful nature and the hard-working helpers in the reconstruction, we were happy to stop by here, as everything seemed very friendly and inviting. We tried the vegetarian burger and were absolutely thrilled. A revelation. So delicious. We'll definitely be back to see if the burger pairs well with wine 😊

What a fantastic visit to the saloon! The food arrived incredibly quickly and was absolutely delicious – every bite was a delight. The value for money is truly outstanding; everything here is just perfect. The service was super friendly and attentive, and you immediately feel welcome. And the wonderful, harmonious ambiance – a perfect blend of comfort and style. We will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend the saloon. A true highlight!

So far I've only had a delicious Kölsch, but with the friendly service it was definitely perfect!

We were there for lunch on Sunday. Unfortunately, the jacket potato with salad didn't impress us. The salad wasn't fresh and wasn't cleaned well. Some of the leaves were extremely wilted, with brown spots on the lighter ones. There was hardly any dressing. The potato was dry with a small dollop of crème fraîche. We complained but had to pay full price. The waiter said he'd pass it on, as one can learn from mistakes. We get a point for that, as well as for the pleasant atmosphere inside. But this restaurant is no longer an option for us. Re: Your feedback. We were definitely not offered any compensation, nor was there a deduction for the salad on the bill.

Super fast friendly service, nice atmosphere and good food at reasonable prices.

We happened to be in the Ahrtal or the saloon on the day of the reopening. The staff was competent and friendly. The food came quickly and was delicious. For me it was the saloon burger. Gladly again.
