Delicious food, freshly tapped beer, free football small talk Top Greek snack bar: Delicious food, super friendly staff, seating, and freshly tapped beer 🍺. I've tried the entire menu – everything is top-notch. The owner? Greek, but a Bayern Munich fan – actually unusual, why not Athens or Thessaloniki? 😅 He likes to tease BVB or Schalke fans when they drop in wearing their jerseys. All with humor – and as long as the food tastes good, it's absolutely forgivable.

This snack bar is really great. The tall blond man is especially great; he's quite funny and easy to chat with.

Delicious, delicious. The food is great. We definitely recommend it. We were there again. We're actually from Wanne-Eickel, but we come here every now and then. We're absolutely thrilled. Excellent food, top-notch service. Everything was fantastic. If we're ever in Castrop-Rauxel again, we'll definitely go to Thessaloniki. 😍 We found out about it through my parents. We're regular customers. Keep it up. Really great. We were there again. I feel like it tastes better every time. The journey from Wanne-Eickel to Thessaloniki isn't too far for us. Keep it up.

Okay, but nothing more. We had a reservation for four people. What was noticeable was that the long line of takeout pick-up customers was always handled quickly, whereas at the table we waited 45 minutes for our food, and even then it wasn't prepared until we asked. The service was friendly, but the food wasn't that great; for example, the gyro was very, very dry. All in all, not the Greek restaurant I'd make my regular; Rhodos is far better.

Absolutely not recommended.... We ordered on-site. My husband ordered number 17 and I ordered number 8 (gyro? pita). Customers who ordered after us got their food earlier than us. When we got home, we immediately unpacked the food. My husband was happy with his plate, but the so-called gyro pita, if you can even call it that, was a flop...it should have been called pita bread with coleslaw and a hint of gyro...and why do they put fries (about 10) under the coleslaw? Sorry, but that doesn't make the friendly service any better....

I have to honestly say I don't understand the positive reviews. The food was inedible. The gyro consisted almost entirely of fat and was absolutely inedible. Not to mention the marinade on the gyro – I've never experienced that at any other fast food restaurant. The fries were soggy, and the mayonnaise was the cheapest salad mayonnaise you can buy in a supermarket. I still feel sick thinking about this meal. My conclusion: Never again at Saloniki Grill in Castrop-Rauxel.

I was visiting here today and actually wanted to order for 4 people, so far so good. So I ordered 4 Gyros Pita, open on the plate, and now it happened. I told the waitress that I'd like to add meat for 1 euro 💶 per portion. She showed me with her hand how much meat I would get for an extra euro; she basically showed me about a teaspoon. Honestly, people? I could name several restaurants that offer much more. But I won't because I'm getting to the point here. If you want to eat there, you can expect a lot of things: unfriendly, scarce, and short-tempered, and the worst is what you get. Yes, it's edible, but not filling. Bring a wheelbarrow of euros there and you'll even be full. Disappointing how they treat customers there. In my opinion, you can find better restaurants in the Ruhr area, and especially here in 44575 Castrop Rauxel. Where you're greeted properly, an extra €1 doesn't mean a teaspoon of meat, and, above all, you feel comfortable. In this case, the comfort factor is less than 15 percent. It's a shame, really, because what they prepare is delicious. Still, it's not a place you'd want to eat there again. Go there and experience for yourself what's going on. Unbelievably unbelievable 🤐

They have the best gyros in town!

The first time, everything was super crispy and still juicy. But last night around 7:30 p.m., we unfortunately had the worst meal of the day: a gyro plate with some raw meat... and the gyro was baked and completely oversalted. And why the tzatziki was added to the fries remains a culinary mystery.

I was there with my family today and can wholeheartedly recommend the restaurant to anyone. The service is super friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, too. We left feeling full and, above all, completely satisfied.

The best gyros and the best (extra-thick) fries in town, but also the salads and the Greek national quark with cucumber and garlic are exceptionally good! ;-) Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to eat it as often as I'd like ;-(

The food and service are perfect. The portions are extremely large and at the same time delicious. The prices are very satisfactory. Very warm and beautiful environment and the service is excellent. I highly recommend!!!

As a native Greek, I visited the Saloniki Grill today with my boyfriend - what immediately struck me was the warm, friendly way in which guests are treated. They take the time to respond to requests; there is no rush, rather it is organized, and above all you can see that you enjoy what they do. Hygienic and structured.

One of the best restaurants of Greek cuisine (and not only) in the area. We have tried everything but our favorite is the schnitzel with Metaxa sauce and the delicious gyros! Fast service, friendly staff and very good prices. Clean shop, neat decoration and generally nice atmosphere. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Pita: bread, 5 pieces of cold and dry meat, you had to imagine tzatziki because there was nothing on it, 3 fries, tons of cabbage that made everything soggy, a few onions. All this for an impossible price. Everything is getting more expensive - okay. But with the same quality. Unfortunately not for you. Unfortunately, you hear it more and more often.

Unfortunately, I have to look for a new favorite snack. The portion size is simply not enough for the price. I think the plates have become smaller and therefore they don't fit as much. The photo shows a portion of fries with a hunter's meatball. However, the photo was taken 2 years ago. You still got enough of that, but today it feels like only half of it. After the last three visits I had to eat some bread at home. Even the filling side dish of fries has become less and the pieces of meat have become smaller. Increase the portions again and it will be 5 stars again I think there are too many employees working behind the counter for the size of the restaurant. Of course, the salaries of the employees also have to be financed. This means higher prices AND smaller portions

Unfortunately disappointed. Me and my family really didn't like the food at all. I had had Bifteki. This usually always includes a salad. I then decided on the cucumber cream salad. I know from other restaurants/snack bars that this is always served separately on a plate. Unfortunately, in this case it wasn't so that the cream ran all over the plate, making the fries really soggy. The meat was also calf. The only thing you could eat was the gyros. Hence the 2 stars. I won't eat there again. Especially since I really didn't think it was good for the atmosphere Too bad

The food was very tasty and cheap. The ambience is a mixture of restaurant and snack bar, so it's quite loud while eating. So not really suitable for a quiet meal with the family. But when you're traveling through with friends, where peace takes a back seat and fun is more important, you can go out for a meal. Were here at Rammstein in Gelsenkirchen.

This is my first time here. It's nice that something like this still exists. Friendly people greet you. You will be asked politely what you would like. Since I'm always totally indecisive, I'm happy to take the advice about a taxi plate. The waiter also advised me to take the pita bread with tzatziki. That would be great and hardly exists anywhere else. Good, I think to myself. I'm hungry and can take the rest with me. The portions are generous and really too much for me. The bread is a dream. The bread is fried again and served with tzatziki. Hammer! In terms of price, everything is within the norm. For the quality, really good. Come back next time.

Came here spontaneously and didn't regret it... the welcome was very warm and the food tasted very good... the rice is just great... but everything else tasted very good too... The various musical instruments are also very interesting...on the wall!!! They also asked if everything was OK... I can recommend the restaurant 100% recommend...

Wir haben schon öfter hier gegessen oder auch nur abgeholt. Das Personal inkl. Cheffin war immer freundlich-trotz gestiegener Energiepreise muss auch dieses Unternehmen wirtschaftlich sein. Die MWst-Erhöhung ab 1.1.24 tut sein übriges dazu. Ich hatte einen Gyrosteller inhouse und einen Bifteki Teller zum mitnehmen. Alles super lecker. Leider bekomme ich nach ca 2 Stunden einen niemals endenden Nachdurst durch Gewürze und Gemüse etc (ich habe nur den Gyrosteller gegessen; es war die Sache wert ;-)). Empfehlung. Saubere Toiletten vorhanden.

Gemütliche Atmosphäre, sauber, freundliches und umsichtiges Personal. Die Portionen waren aber mal größer und mittlerweile 13,00€ für einen Gyros-Teller finde ich schon happig.

Man sitzt hier super, die Leute sind sehr herzlich. Bestellen an der Theke, Essen wird aber gebracht. Günstige Preise. Sehr schmackhaftes Essen. Den Krautsalat hätte ich mir lieber in einem Extraschälchen gewünscht, da Flüssigkeit ins Essen kam. Ansonsten alles super.

Eigentlich haben wir die letzten 20 Jahre dort regelmäßig und sehr gern gegessen , aufgrund der aktuellen Öffnungszeiten wurde es dann weniger , dank der aktuellen Preise nun gar nicht mehr , über 42€ für 3 MINI Portionen Gyros auf einem Kinderteller a 9.30!!!! , 3 Pitabrote + 3 Getränke ist trotz des guten Geschmacks zuviel . Immer kleiner werdende Portionen bei mehr als gehobenen Preisen passen für eine Pommesbude nicht !!!

Essen ist sehr nah an Restaurant Niveau. Der beste Taxi Teller der Stadt und näherer Umgebung, vor allem wenn man ihn vor Ort isst.

Preis Leistung stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. Gekauft haben wir zwei Gyros Teller für jeweils 13€ und sind nicht mal satt geworden. Da zahle ich lieber 3€ weniger und fahre zum nächsten Griechen, da bekomme ich wenigstens ein vollen Teller der genauso gut schmeckt.
