We visited the Greek restaurant Poseidon because of the good reviews and really loved it. Cozy furnishings, very friendly staff and by far the best Greek food in the area. There is a very large selection of delicious dishes and special specialties, everything is beautifully prepared, decorated and served on special dishes. The quality of the food is excellent. We have been here regularly since our first visit and it is always an experience. It's nice that such special restaurants still exist.

Rarely eaten so well. A free starter and a free dessert were served. After the meal, a free schnapps was offered. We ate there with 4 people. The portions were large and high quality. The price/performance ratio is right here. We enjoyed it very much. We'd love to come back. There is sufficient parking space in front of the restaurant.

There are many good Greek restaurants, but what is on offer here is exceptional! It starts with great service and continues with the chic table decoration (including stylish patience and puzzle games). But the food itself surpasses everything. Haute cuisine meets gyros! Not only is everything super delicious, the food is also prepared like in a star restaurant. The experience is rounded off with one or two tasty “greetings from the kitchen”. Given the relatively inconspicuous facade, I would never have expected that. I would even give it 6 stars.

Mega tasty and large portions. Homemade dips and salads are excellent. So 5 stars without hesitation. Dessert is also included in the price.

I was here for the first time today based on a recommendation. All I can say is it was great. The staff is super nice and sweet. The food was excellent. I was almost full from the starters and desserts. I would love to come back.

A dear friend took me to this restaurant today and I am so excited!! The food is incredibly delicious and so beautifully prepared with so much love! Everything was so harmonious and an absolute delight! Of course, I don't just have to praise the chef for this art on plates - the service team is also super friendly and attentive! I am happy and grateful that I was able to get to know this great restaurant today and, despite the distance, it will certainly not be the only visit. We'll meet Again!! Absolute recommendation!

Stopped by the Poseidon by chance and went home more than very impressed. The food was simply great, price/performance was great, the service was super nice and attentive. We recommend! We will definitely come back.

We've been there several times now and it's always amazing. A small starter, bread with herbs, then a salad that is second to none. Then the main courses, always very tasty and filling. Afterwards a greeting from the kitchen, which always varies. Then an ouzo on the house... and everyone is always very friendly. Keep it up! We'll come back often!

I am absolutely thrilled! (And I rarely write reviews) The food was super tasty and actually surprisingly cheap for what you get. The main course is accompanied by a small starter and a really spectacularly prepared dessert (both also incredibly tasty). As well as the individual components of the dishes were coordinated both in terms of taste and appearance, I assume that the kitchen here definitely knows what it is doing and puts a lot of love into it. Even the side salad was a masterpiece. The service staff were also very warm and quick. All in all a really great restaurant, I would recommend it to anyone who loves good Greek food!

Super delicious food. Price-performance is right. The most beautifully presented and delicious Greek food I have ever eaten. Finally no monster portions with a heartburn alarm, but good portions that fill you up deliciously. 🤤 Always with ouzo, starter and dessert on the house. Simply great 👍

Excellent food. There are really big portions and a fantastic salad. Almost a main course with toasted bread. It was our first time here but we will definitely come back.

I have never eaten so well at a Greek restaurant! Even the “greeting from the kitchen” was amazing! A kind of foccacia with 3 delicious dips. The side salad for the Socrates plate puts all other side salads in the shade with its unusual ingredients (including pomegranate, raisins, yellow carrots, sunflower and pumpkin seeds). The meat was also very good and tasted excellently with various sauces. I had the stuffed mushrooms (warm starter) as my main course and I was simply thrilled. At the end there was a straciatella cream on the house. One should not forget that all the dishes were beautifully prepared and served. We'll definitely be back!

Even though the restaurant was full, we still got a place for two with a small dog. Eat good. Service friendly. Gladly again.

Food very tasty, staff very nice and friendly

By far the best Greek restaurant we know of. We drive there especially from Lünen. Although we haven't had much opportunity to come by recently, we have always been warmly welcomed and recognized. And be it through small gifts like a Sprite instead of Ouzo Pinnchen for my wife while she was pregnant last year. We are always happy to come back and can only recommend it to everyone!

The food was very tasty, but the service could have been a little more attentive. If you wanted drinks you had to draw attention to yourself very urgently, the preparation of the starter also took a very long time. However, it was quite full and we were more than happy with the delicious food. Gladly again.

There is nothing to complain about. The dishes were very attractively presented on beautiful plates. The meat was grilled well, the rice wasn't quite to my taste, but I can't blame the chef for that. The service staff attentive but unobtrusive. We weren't here for the last time. Thank you!

A very good Greek restaurant with very friendly service and food that differs pleasantly from the "standard Greek". Gladly again at any time. However, the portions are so large that it is probably the exception that someone can eat everything. Therefore a star deduction, unfortunately!

My wife and I were back in the restaurant after a long time. We were really pleasantly surprised at how much it has changed. We didn't remember the food that well, but the food was prepared much more lovingly. And the staff is very nice and accommodating and always has a smile on their faces. Leider diesmal sehr enttäuscht. Die Vorspeise Peperonispies Grottenschlecht. Die Hauptspeise Rinderleberspitzen. Die Leber war OK. Die Sosse auch nach dem Urteil von Freunden nicht erwähnenswert. Sie schmeckte einfach nicht. Da half auch nicht der extra Quzo auf Kosten des Hauses. Die Pommes leider auch nur -3. Und. Ich wurde nicht satt.:0(( Nur 1 Stern* Und noch was. Wir wurden mindestens 8 x gefragt ob wir noch was trinken wollten. War einfach nur nervig.

Lecker essen, Bedienung sehr freundlich, Preisleistung stimmt immer wieder gerne.

Okay, für das gleiche Gericht bezahlt man ca 20-30% mehr als bei den Mitbewerbern, aber jeder Cent davon lohnt sich sogar doppelt. Alleine der Saganaki ist der Hammer… kein gequitsche beim schneiden wo man das Gefühl hat, man trennt hier ein Stück Gummi… In meinen Augen ist dies der beste Grieche in ganz Castrop-Rauxel, und wir haben einiges vorher probiert.. Leider kein Lieferservice, aber das ist m.M nach kein Kriterium dort nicht zu bestellen.

Unfassbar gut. Mit dieser Qualität und auch die Darstellung des Essens war absolut top. Ich wusste das sich etwas verändert hat in der Küche, aber das ist schon großes Kino. Ich hoffe den Koch hält es noch lange in diesem Lokal. Er könnte mit Sicherheit auch außerhalb der Familie groß rauskommen. Bitte weiter so....

Wir haben essen für 6 Personen vorbestellt. Um 12 Uhr abgeholt. Zu Hause gegessen. Wir hätten noch 5 Personen mit essen lassen können. Alles frisch, heiß und lecker. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Mit Abstand das beste griechische Restaurant in dem ich je gewesen bin! Der Service ist hervorragend, das Essen einfach fantastisch und das schöne, gemütliche Ambiente einfach toll. Waren geschäftlich in Castrop-Rauxel und haben den Tip von einer Mieterin bekommen. Super herzliches Personal, man wird sofort Mega freundlich begrüßt. Wir haben kaum gesessen, da stand schon ein Ouzo auf dem Tisch, direkt gefolgt von frischem Knoblauchbrot mit verschiedenen dips und canapés mit Garnelen und Kaviar. Danach gab es einen leckeren Vorspeisensalat. Die Hauptspeise waren ein Traum, reichlich und super lecker, sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Damit aber nicht genug. Nach der Hauptspeise gab es dann einen traumhaften Nachtisch und nach dem Nachtisch gab es noch einen Nachtisch…wir waren mehr als satt und glücklich… vielen Dank, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder wenn wir in der Gegend sind!!!

Wir hatten gestern dort unsere weihnachtsfeier und waren begeistert. Die vorspeisenplatte war toll, die Hauptspeisen alle sehr lecker und der Nachtisch ein Gedicht. Alles auch sehr schön angerichtet. Ich komme definitiv wieder. Wünsche allen ein schönes Weihnachtsfest.

Die Speisen werden mit viel Liebe hergerichtet. Mir hat es sehr gut geschmeckt, der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wieder einmal wunderbar gespeist. Es wurden wieder kleine Appetithäbchen gereicht. Die Hauptgerichte waren lecker und auf den Punkt zubereitet. Nach dem Hauptgericht wurde ein Dessert im Nebel von Trockeneis gereicht, ein Hingucker. Wir können diese Lokal nur empfehlen.

Wir waren abends hier essen. Das Ambiente war nett und das Personal sehr freundlich. Leider mussten wir teilweise lange warten um noch etwas zu trinken zu bestellen. Das Essen war lecker. Auch war das Essen toll angerichtet. Es war toll das es eine kleinen Appetizer und einen Nachtisch gab.

Kleines Restaurant mit top Service. Das Essen war sehr lecker, wir hatten Leber. Der Nachtisch ( gratis ) war sehenswert. Wir kommen bei Gelegenheit wieder.

Bester Grieche in ganz Castrop-Rauxel. -Größe der Portionen macht selbst Vielesser satt. -Geschmack top, Teller sind schön angerichtet. -Personal freundlich und stets erreichbar. -Man brachte uns gleich drei Grüße aus der Küche als Vorspeiße (Brot, Aperitif und Ouzo) und einen vierten Gruß als Nachspeiße. -Leistung überwiegt deutlich dem günstigen Preis. Nur zu empfehlen! Komme gerne wieder!
