Salinas in Rüttenscheid has become our regular Valentine's Day restaurant. The food is very tasty at a very good price. The owners and the whole team are very accommodating and super nice. Will come again❤️

I was here for the first time yesterday and I'll definitely be back!!! The food was fantastic, I like the atmosphere and the service was good.

We were here for the first time. Reservation is strongly recommended. There is a large selection of food. When it comes to tapas, you should always know that it will be a little more expensive in the end. The staff was friendly and attentive at all times. The volume is sometimes unpleasant due to the size and number of guests. But you can still have a conversation. All in all, a delicious and successful evening.

Dear Salina team! Thank you for the feedback and the information about the later reservation period, which we also saw on your website. Unfortunately, an extensive (tapas) meal from 7.30 p.m. is far too late in the evening for us. It doesn't appeal to us anymore - as might other guests of older age? - That's why we always like to make reservations for the late afternoon/early evening. We always enjoyed the food and the evenings in your restaurant (5 stars for this!!) and always left a lot of money - and we were happy to do so! Unfortunately, with the current regulation, this can no longer be implemented for us, which we really regret and find extremely unfortunate. By the way, there are one or two restaurants that are happy to extend the period upon request from the guest. You might want to think about such an alternative. Maybe it will pay off in the bottom line and in the long run. Of course it's unfair in a way to only give one star, but we - as guests - weren't treated fairly either. If we hadn't called you again, we probably wouldn't have been the only ones making a “stupid face” that evening... It was also anything but easy to get a table elsewhere at such short notice, which stressed and annoyed us... Disappointed… We had reserved a table by phone on Friday for Saturday in a week and were really looking forward to visiting Salina after a long time. Full of anticipation, we looked at the menu on the website the Thursday before and only saw by chance that a table can only be reserved for two hours. We were not informed of this when we made our reservation by telephone. To be on the safe side, we called the restaurant again and they confirmed our fears. When we pointed out that we weren't told about this when we made the reservation, they didn't even go into further detail, so we canceled the table with a heavy heart. These limited time periods always seem like a check-in to us, but we want to enjoy a culinary evening without having to look at the clock or even rush because the next guests are already waiting for us to vacate the place. We are really disappointed that this regulation has now also been introduced for our (previously) favorite Spaniard. We don't know yet whether we will go again. Not as of today... :((

Good tapas. The dishes from the daily menu were very good. Fast service. Unfortunately, the beer garden is a bit noisy from the traffic.

Food very tasty, portions perhaps a bit small, service good and friendly, competent. Acoustics suboptimal, especially when there is a loud group at the large next table. We would be happy to come back.

Simply a wonderful experience! We were at Salina for the first time today and we are really impressed with the restaurant. We had a lovely evening as a couple, with delicious food, delicious drinks and warm service. The audience was mixed from young to old and even very young guests were there. Nice! It's not exactly cheap, but it's okay considering the quality. Thank you for the monastic evening that felt so beautiful in Spain. See you soon. Unfortunately, prices here have continued to rise over the last 3 years. However, the portions have become smaller in many cases so that the guest can order a little more. A business policy that I don't like. It's a shame because most of the dishes taste good, but the price-performance ratio and the portion sizes are no longer appropriate. And the fact that everything has become more expensive is unfortunately also due to the fact that many industries are jumping on this bandwagon in order to generate even more profits. But I also see keeping the portion sizes quite smaller as a hidden price increase.

We were really excited, everything was delicious, very seasoned and the meat was of top quality! Service was also really nice and the place was very cozy. We will definitely be back and are happy to have discovered the shop

Wir waren mit 5 Personen Essen. Bin hungrig und mit schlechter Laune aus dem Lokal. Die Portionen zu klein. Der Laden ist überteuert. Bedienung und Qualität ok. Es ist eher ein Beilagenrestaurant wo die Leute verarscht werden..Ich war übrigens eingeladen.. Tut mir leid für meinen Freu d. Überteuert... Nie mehr dahin.. Wir werden mittlerweile überall verarscht. 220 Euro. MFG

Very tasty tapas with good service. Interior a bit too rustic and 'Dear Ones' always hurts me a bit when spoken to, seems to be a current waiter's wording - once 'Dear Ones' is enough - if it has to be that way at all.

I've been to Salina twice so far and I was thrilled both times. The quality of the food and the preparation is really very high, each of the dishes was really delicious and served with love. The service and friendly staff are also worth mentioning. A very good and authentic tapas restaurant!

I arrived at the restaurant at 4:50 p.m., but wasn't allowed in, even though I just wanted to wait inside! - at 5:00 p.m. there was only one bar table left! - I understand, but not with the type of communication! - simply unfriendly and inflexible! - I had ordered 1 small salad (orally), but was charged for a large one!- I was there twice within 3 days, but definitely not again!-

Were invited to a birthday party there. There is also a medium-sized hall that was rented for the celebration. The ambience was very appropriate. There is a small stage in the back. A selection of tapas was served, which we enjoyed together at several long tables. The tapas were almost all vegetarian. I think as a host you can choose these yourself in advance. It was all actually very tasty. It could have been just a little more. The drinks mostly came quickly, but occasionally it took a little longer. But everyone was friendly. In addition to the birthday party, restaurant operations continued as normal in the front part of the restaurant. The back part was signposted for our closed company. However: In order for the guests from the restaurant to get to the toilets, they had to go through the private space.

Super friendly, great quality food, not too greasy as we usually know. Reasonable prices, very clean and cozy. Definitely again, live around the corner now ;)

We tried out all the Spaniards in the area up to Moers! Here is my TOP recommendation! The sauces are unique, the tapas are traditional and simply delicious, the staff is very accommodating and friendly! All around the perfect tapas restaurant! If the price wasn't so exorbitantly high and the portions were correspondingly larger then you could give full points. The price is unusually high e.g. The gambas 5 small baked gambas with dip €9. Paid 180€ with 3 people!!!!

Auf Empfehlung haben wir diesmal die Tapas Bar in essen ausprobiert. Die Bilder sprechen für sich. Tolles Ambiente mit hervorragenden finger-food. Bestellt wurde aus der Wochenkarte, leckere Tacos! Drinnen als auch draußen eine tolle Atmosphäre und der Service ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Apart from a few small drawbacks, not enough truffle aioli with the bread, the sheep's cheese gratinated could have been creamier and the prawns in pure olive oil with garlic would have been great and would have been good for dipping with the bread, we were completely satisfied. Delicious, nice atmosphere, nice staff. We felt very comfortable. 4.5 stars would be appropriate.

A nice evening for four with really nice waitresses. As we all know, prices are not that low. When paying for a table for 4 people (approx. €200 in total) you notice that 2 large water bottles were charged, but only 1 was ordered and drunk. Price €7.20 When I was told about a male person who wasn't suitable for me in the customer catering area, I came straight back. After waiting for about 10 minutes he came back and slapped us €7.20 in 50 cent pieces on the table with the words I didn't have it bigger. An absolute disgrace No sorry or anything, the store was packed and of course all customers paid with 50 cent pieces - as usual. Maybe it was Hard Money Monday. As I said, it was good but not cheap, the girls were in a good mood as always but the only gentleman was a cheek. Keep your eyes open when choosing a career because the customer pays your bills!

We were there for the second time today and were very impressed. Very tasty, very garlic-heavy food with some good spiciness. Very friendly service, although it took a long time to bring the food today. That wasn't the case the first time, so it wasn't the norm. We'd love to come back.

The potatoes and bread were good. Unfortunately, we weren't so impressed with the tapas with meat, fish and seafood.

A really good tapas bar. We finally got there. And we always test the aioli first. And it was really good. The four of us had a lot of tapas and they all tasted really good.

I don't understand the hype. Priced for the performance in the upper segment. Service overwhelmed, but always friendly. Our bacon-wrapped dates were burnt and didn't need to come out of the kitchen.

Unfortunately the visit to Salinas was very disappointing. This wasn't due to the quality of the food or drinks that we didn't get, but rather it was due to the manager's lack of ability to deal with stressful situations. My daughter had made a valid reservation and we were also seated at a table. There was no entertainment. The manager personally came to our table and repeatedly asked my daughter for the reservation confirmation, which my daughter had already shown at the entrance. But that wasn't enough for the young lady and she asked us to leave the restaurant. After about 25 minutes of annoying discussion, we left the restaurant. There were already other guests waiting at the exit, who from our point of view could obviously be described as regulars. The situation probably speaks for itself. Asking guests who have already been seated at a table to leave the restaurant deserves the word: unprofessionalism.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this restaurant and was immediately impressed by the quality of the food and the charming ambience. Unfortunately, I had to witness an unpleasant situation at the next table. Despite repeated requests, the guests there were unable to show a valid reservation and reacted extremely tensely and disrespectfully. It was unfortunate to see her verbally attacking the staff and the guests behaving in an unacceptable manner. However, what really impressed me was the calm and professional way the service staff handled the situation. Despite the challenges, they remained patient and polite and ultimately managed to politely but firmly ask guests to leave. Despite this incident, I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. The food was excellent and the service first class. I can fully recommend this restaurant and am sure that anyone who visits will have a similarly positive experience.

Unfortunately I can't give a good rating. After we showed our reservation confirmation we were seated at our table. A few minutes later the less friendly boss came to the table and wanted to see our reservation again. We had shown these, but unfortunately the lady suddenly no longer had enough of them. After a long discussion we had to clear the table and were literally thrown out of the restaurant. If the restaurant is overbooked, you can solve the situation differently, for example with a round of drinks at the counter. We would have liked to wait for a table there until something became available. Unfortunately, the operators here acted very unprofessionally and therefore the restaurant is unfortunately not recommended.

Been here several times and it's always delicious. The staff is friendly. Price performance is completely okay. The four of us always pay around 200 euros including drinks and tips. With tapas you probably always eat a little more than if you only ordered one dish per person.

We ate very well, the food was high quality and very tasty. The service was good and very accommodating. Ordering via the QR code also worked well, with a few small complications - but the whole thing was still new. I made a small deduction for the ambience for the chairs, which I didn't really find comfortable. All in all, we would of course come back and eat Spanish tapas. :-)

Table reserved for a group, it was supposed to be a nice evening, unfortunately the number of seats was not suitable for the reservation, the order, the service was good, the food was very tasty, but the friendliness of the service person and the resulting discussion, loud, unfriendly, which other guests also noticed, I don't understand that by service, I think this situation could have been made much friendlier, it's a shame, at the end there was still 1 dish open that didn't find an owner, overall summary... never again, that's how you scare away your customers, then a "friendly" final sentence from the employee - now you've probably achieved everything, I was shocked by such a lack of empathy and service towards the guest. Salina's feedback should also be honest and correspond to the true facts, service to the guest would be an excuse for such cheeky, impudent behavior.

Good food, portions are also okay, the price is a little higher. That's why it's only enough for 4 stars for me. Still a recommendation.

I am disappointed and horrified: wrong reservation, instead of apologizing we are insulted because we added a table. We are asked to eat quickly because we need the table. In the end we were thrown out with 17 people!!!! Customer service is very important there. This answer from the owner speaks for itself! Without words!!!

This was a fantastic place, I really enjoyed every dish we tried and I 100% would recommend coming here 🙌 my phone died so I couldn’t take photos but I can promise you won’t be disappointed

The staff was unfriendly, the reservation was recorded incorrectly, we didn't have time to sit comfortably together after dinner and were asked to leave. Never again Salina!!!!!!!! There are many restaurants in Essen that are better.

Maybe it's the Barraquito speaking, but the chef who puts the tapas on the table here is an absolute master! If you want tapas you just have to go here. We have only eaten so well in Tenerife! Rarely have I had so many taste explosions in my mouth!

Salina is one of our favorite restaurants! The diverse and high-quality tapas are a pleasure every time. The attentive service and the welcoming atmosphere make every visit an experience. Definitely worth five stars!

Unfortunately we weren't there until 10 p.m., but we were still able to order food until 10:30 p.m. The service was quick and totally friendly. Thank you for the lovely evening with you. We will be back definitely!

Leckeres Essen fühlte mich aufgehoben

Oh Mann. Wir haben gerade sowas von lecker bei Euch gegessen. Das Wichtigste: Super netter und zuvorkommender Service. Wir haben etwas warten müssen, es war halt sehr voll, aber es hat sich gelohnt. Die Aioli? Zum Niederknien! Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal. Kleiner Tipp: Nutzt den QR-Code auf dem Würfel zum bestellen. Ihr spart den Mädels und Jungs einen Weg und müsst nicht warten um eine Bestellung aufzugeben.

Super leckere Tapas, schöne Auswahl. Service war auch wirklich toll, haben uns gestern sehr wohl bei Salinas Tapas gefühlt. Kommen bestimmt bald wieder!

Das Essen war super lecker ,und wurde auch sehr schnell herbeigebracht .Die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr freundlich und insgesamt gibt das Salinas eine schöne Atmosphäre ab.

Die Tapas waren sehr enttäuschend! Ich bestellte Patatas Fritas und bekam TK-Wedges! und das beim Spanier. Der Salat war ertränkt in der Vinegrette. Der Fleischspieß Pincho de Salina für 8,90 € völlig überteuert für die 2 kleinen Fleischstückchen, dafür war der Speck aber groß. Unglaublich! Ich hatte zu keiner Zeit das Gefühl, dass ich beim Spanier speise. Nie wieder!

Immer wieder super lecker bei euch! Wir reservieren Immer einen Tisch im voraus, ist immer ziemlich voll. Es macht immer Spaß verschiedene Köstlichkeiten zu probieren und zu teilen.

An unserer Hochzeitstag viel die Wahl spontan auf das Salina. Gut erreichbar mit der Straßenbahn 105. Ein paar Schritte von der Haltestelle Rellinghausen Rathaus entfernt bekamen wir noch einen Tisch für 2. Die Einrichtung ist rustikal und gemütlich. Wenn es voll ist kann es auch schon einmal lauter werden. Die Tapas waren sehr lecker und die Portionen ordentlich. Das Personal war super freundlich und hat Spaß an der Arbeit dort. Es war ein toller Abend. Eine ganz klare Empfehlung!

Sehr gute tapas, schwierig mit dem parken da kein eigener Parkplatz vorhanden ist, immer gut besucht also besser mit Reservierung einkehren

Das Essen an sich war ganz gut. Der Service allerdings war sehr unkoordiniert. Wir hatten den ganzen Abend über ca. 4-5 verschiedene Kellner. Auf unsere erste Bestellung haben wir fast eine Stunde gewartet und das Hänchenfleich mussten wir zurück geben lassen, weil es teilweise noch Roh war. Das Essen war gut und die Bedienung war auch sehr höflich - nur leider sehr unorganisiert.

Alles super. Essen, Service, Wein und Freundlichkeit. Es war die Hölle los und trotzdem bekamen wir einen Tisch, alle waren sehr nett und alles ging schnell und reibungslos 👍👍👍

Ohne Zweifel die besten Tapas die ich seit SEHR langer Zeit hatte. Alle Speisen die wir hatten war super-lecker. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Es ist immer wieder schön,dort ein gemütlichen Abend mit super leckeren Essen zu verbringen. Schade war nur das eine tolle Wochenkarte auf instagram angekündigt wurde,die es aber gar nicht gab.

Köstliches Essen, freundliches Personal

Wir haben das Salina gerade erst entdeckt und waren sofort zwei Mal hintereinander dort, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Es gibt eine breite und sehr leckere Tapas-Auswahl. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut und man fühlt sich im Salina wirklich wohl. Das Personal ist super freundlich und wir haben uns bei beiden Besuchen sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sicherlich wieder kommen!

Dessert Eis in der Karte als verschiedene Sorten angegeben aber man konnte sich nur 1 Sorte aussuchen.Die kleine Portion dann für 5,90€ fand ich schon sehr happig. Aber sonst haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war super.

und ZACK - da sind wir wieder…….. mein Gott, nettes zuvorkommendes freundliches und lustiges Personal, kulinarisch ein Genuss - es passt einfach alles für einen schönen Freitag Abend. Wir haben gelacht (und nicht nur wir beide zusammen) und fühlen uns einfach wohl. Sehr gerne wieder - DEFINITIV!!!!!!
