Everything was great, unfortunately it depends on the time how well the food is served.

Food is usually cold, service staff clearly have no idea what they are doing and how service works. Not knowing German and being extremely unfriendly is probably the order of the day. When asked what kind of dessert the answer was: yes. Plates were thrown listlessly onto the table. It also happened that there was paper lying/sponging in the food which turned out to be an order slip. The service staff walk around with a no-nonsense attitude and don't respond to the guests. A foreign language is spoken. Let's just say the restaurant had better times.

Impossible the condition...I was eating there with a friend and was shocked. Not only does the food arrive extremely late and carelessly prepared... the service was a disgrace. The food was slammed on the table, zero friendliness or any greeting and the highlight was when I asked what kind of mochi it was because it wasn't anywhere. The first waitress didn't understand German and the second cheekily said he didn't know and that I should just try it instead of just asking in the kitchen. The experience was completely thrown away by such incompetent service. You won't see me here anymore!

Unfortunately I'm totally disappointed.. I saw so many people eating there, I ordered myself and I'm totally disappointed.. Unfortunately it doesn't taste fresh at all. Avocado partly brown and the sushi leaves totally old, only cartilage in the chicken..

Terrible service, we sat down, all people in the restaurant were given tablets from the menu, we were brought a paper one. But before that, we waited for him for 10 minutes, then when we were ready to order another 10-15 minutes, no one came to us, the staff simply ignored us. We had planned a weekend trip to Kassel, and it's a tradition for us to go out for sushi in every city we go on a trip to. We weren't disappointed, the sushi was great and we both really enjoyed it, the service was always quick, and the kitchen was also very fast, we hardly had to wait for our food, even though there was a lot going on, the ambience was also very nice.

We often go to Sakura because we love the decor and the food there. Unfortunately, you can tell that things have really slowed down in the last few months. Some dishes have to be ordered several times before they reach the table. Wasabi and ginger are no longer part of the place setting and must be ordered individually. Ginger often doesn't arrive and we received as much wasabi for four people as a 10 cent piece, so it's a joke. The toilets look bad, even when the soap was empty, no one was refilled, the trash cans are overflowing, and unfortunately that wasn't just the case yesterday. We think it's a shame because it was our favorite sushi restaurant and don't know if we'll come back, even though we actually like the food :(

Nicely furnished, but unfortunately that was almost it. The food was cold, the rice was rather sticky, and a different sauce was smeared on the sushi every time, which didn't taste good and wasn't tolerated because it was spicy. Only half of what was ordered arrived. And the ice cream, which was stated as a different flavor (which you couldn't choose yourself) was just vanilla. When we asked, we were told that there was only vanilla. So both the selection and the food itself can be had better elsewhere. Too bad

Reservations made over the phone were not implemented and the reception was very unfriendly. The food tasted ok, but there was very little choice and it wasn't really what you ordered. The waiters are very rude, they don't say what is being served or ask if everything is good or if it tastes good. The waiters continue to talk loudly at the counter and are very annoying. As a guest you don't really feel comfortable there. Order is not a priority there, as there is chaos behind the preparation station, packaging material is lying all over the place, folders are dusty and unsorted, papers are flying around. There's all sorts of stuff lying around that the staff doesn't seem to care about. They definitely haven't heard anything about hygiene. When I went to the toilet before I wanted to leave, it just smelled like shit on the way there, there was garbage all over the place, the squat toilets were full of urine and hadn't been flushed and the sink was completely dirty. More appearance than reality! I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone and I won't be visiting this restaurant again.

That was really delicious. Fresh - plentiful and it feels like every bit of sushi there is! 👏 I didn't know the ordering principle at all... but I think it's great. Will definitely come back! Yes, the toilets should be overhauled - but even there, everything that needs to be done can still be done - and it's usually the customers' fault - that really can't and shouldn't detract from the overall impression of the ambience, service and food!

Once and never again. Point 1. The all you can eat was sometimes a disaster. My son then became sick and vomited. The reason was probably the squid rings. Point 2. The name and the ambience are advertised as Japanese, as is the food, but the staff is absolutely not, so you can imagine what the outcome is. Point. 3 they have toilets that not only smell awful but won't be repaired for months. One of the two sinks is still covered, no soap came out of either soap dispenser, the flush buttons were torn out and in general it looked unclean. I'll save myself pictures because others already have the same ones. Some of the toilets have holes or mold on the walls and the paint has also been rubbed off. When it comes to wasabi I have to say that it is old and already dry and dark and not fresh and light. The green tea I ordered had leftover leaves in it. So it wasn't made traditionally Japanese.

Unfriendly waitresses who didn't even let us put the dishes together. The sushi was just as good as that from Rewe and anyone who even dares to try the all-you-can-eat of the person sitting next to them will be rudely attacked. Unfortunately not a good experience, there are better alternatives for good sushi in Kassel.

By chance we ended up at Sakura today and we are thrilled! Great sushi and hot, delicious food! We'll definitely be back!

Nice service and delicious food again and again

Sushi is ok, but there is still a lot of room for improvement. The service is also ok. It all takes a very long time and dishes were completely forgotten, so some points are deducted. For the prices you can have solid food here.

Unfortunately, the food wasn't satisfactory and we didn't particularly like the sushi. After we had finished eating, we only received the ginger we ordered, even though we had pointed out several times that it was missing.

Food was just stale. The noodles were the best. No sushi leaf could be broken by applying pressure with a fork. Warm things were never warm. Half of the dishes were not brought. The mochi was a rubber bullet and could not be divided with a fork. The wasabi was old and stale. The drinks aren't even good enough to make you look like a godless Roman in armor...cocktails are simply not drinkable... The toilet is an imposition. Although you can find something to eat here for little money, the taste is pretty average and nothing special. The service, on the other hand, is an absolute disaster. We were sat down and had to wait forever for the menus, then another half hour until someone took our order. I was there with my partner, and this is how it went until we got our food: my partner's starter came first, then the drinks, then both main courses, and my starter came last. In between, food was brought to us that we hadn't even ordered. The atmosphere is anything but inviting. The owner (?) constantly shouts at the staff and also talks to the customers in an incredibly harsh way. Overall, not a good atmosphere, not good service - absolutely not recommended!

The food was delicious. But we didn't get everything we ordered. We had to ask for wasabi four times before a small dollop for seven people came. We didn't get any ginger at all. The service employees preferred not to be spoken to and were virtually unavailable.

Very disinterested and annoyed staff. Orders that took a little longer came with the next course, so you no longer had an overview. Soy sauce and wasabi were only served after several requests or not at all. However, the food was very good!

Everything looks great, but the employees are unfriendly and mostly short on words. We waited 50 minutes just for our drinks and the food was really bad for the price. The sushi tasted good but the rest of the menu didn't.

The all-you-can-eat sushi is wonderful and the price is super in line with the amount of food that is included. We've been there about 5 times and it's very reminiscent of the rotation in Brazil 🇧🇷 I highly recommend it and go fasting 🤪

The employees didn't react happily to questions or other things in general, they weren't very friendly. I waited 1.5 hours for my food because they "forgot" it. Not highly recommended, plus the last course didn't come for the people who had the all you can eat buffet and sometimes the iPads didn't work and you got it twice, which wouldn't actually be a bad thing, but for us it was the drinks and so we had to pay 10€ more. In addition, the people who ordered with the card were very neglected, for example I had to wait 20 minutes before I could even order, while the people with all you can eat had already had their second course. Not recommended

The waitresses are very friendly and accommodating. How is tipping handled? I'm asking myself this question after noticing the last few times that one of the owners always comes to collect the money instead of the people who served you so kindly. Are tips split among employees? I imagine that to be complicated. I always thought that everyone had an extra compartment in their wallet in which the money was collected and at the end of the shift the waiter or the waitress was allowed to take the money because it was his too? I'm anything but stingy, but the tip should go to the person it's intended for and if you're served by different people, it would be ok to split it up. But is that also done?

Unfortunately, we didn't receive all orders, even though we asked several times. For example, we ordered rice 4x over different rounds and never received it. Afterwards, our group was mocked in the presence of other guests. Service very unfriendly. Not all orders received until the end. Definitely NOT justified the money of 28.00.

Great service, the times from ordering to serving were kept short, the warm dishes were served hot and this time nothing was missing.

Sakura has become something of a tradition with our friends whenever we are in Kassel again. Simply great atmosphere, delicious food and easy ordering via tablet. You just order what you want to eat, it's so great, nothing is left over. The homemade lemonades are also amazing. Still just as great for 5 years, thank you very much. See you next year :)

We were there on a Monday evening and unfortunately we didn't have a good experience. We had to wait a long time for food and drinks and when the sushi finally came, not everything that was ordered came. When the second round didn't arrive either, we politely asked if our order had been lost. We got the answer that there was a lot going on in the kitchen. Shortly afterwards, part of our order was placed on the table in annoyance. Also in the next round only a part came. We came to Sakura regularly and somehow it was always ok. Yesterday, however, the room was cold, the food didn't come and when it did come it was cold! I haven't eaten so badly in a long time, especially since almost 30 euros isn't a gift! The quality has to improve significantly here. We won't be coming back again

We were there with several people in the evening. Even though some of the things we ordered didn't come, the food was still good BUT !!!!! THE TOILETS... IT STINKED THAT IT WAS BAD AND THERE WERE LOTS OF THICK FLIES THERE!!!! THE WHOLE AREA BELOW STINKED!!!

Can you also give less than one star? The quality of the food is at the standard Chinese all-you-can-eat level, not for the weak stomach. About half of the dishes we ordered simply didn't arrive at our table, despite repeated requests from the waiter. In the end, the handful of snacks dripping with frying grease was enough to make me sick to my stomach. The service was uncoordinated and incredibly slow. The whole thing for just €28 or so, plus drinks of course. An absolute lowlight in the Kassel gastronomic landscape 👎🏼🤮

I've been to Sakura many times and have always been relatively satisfied. The staff is friendly and the owner is super nice. But it has become more and more expensive and the food is getting worse!! €28.80 for an all you can eat is quite a bit, but you expect something for it. However, due to tonight's dinner, I will no longer set foot in the restaurant. All the food: COLD. You could live with it for a few dishes, but it's not very pleasant for meat dishes, croquettes, salmon and shrimp. If it had been a handful, what would have arrived cold or lukewarm... okay. But EVERYTHING? 70€ for two people and then everything cold… I'm super disappointed.

The sushi was okay, but not outstanding. The Aperol Sour was good. We ordered tofu which wasn't seasoned. The beef and noodle soup had coriander, which I think MUST be mentioned on the menu. The fried pack choy was good. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the store and wouldn't go there again.

I couldn't eat because after more than 20 minutes, after the seat was assigned, no one wanted to take the order. There was only one other person in the restaurant besides us.

I can't rate the food because after 25 minutes there was still no one to take my order, even though the shop was completely empty. I think it's a cheek, we made eye contact several times, but still no success.

The boss is super nice and the food is fantastic. The selection of sushi was impressive and every dish was freshly made and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality sushi!

I was there on a Saturday, DISASTER!! My orders didn't arrive. I had to point out to the waiter several times that my orders hadn't arrived. The only thing that was tasty was the vanilla ice cream. The people who gave 5 stars were tricked into doing so because you get 5 surprises for 5 stars.. Better go somewhere else...

The food is generally delicious, both the sushi and the other dishes. We were there for the buffet in the evening and the restaurant was probably half full. The ambience is quite nice and the seating is also quite comfortable. However, it seems like many Asian restaurants quite full. For example, at the upper entrance there is a large table that is filled to the brim with a mix of decorations and ashtrays, vases, etc. That really doesn't seem very inviting. The service was friendly and quick. Ordering the all you can eat buffet is done via tablet. You can order up to 6 small dishes per person in a maximum of 15 “rounds” and the “delivery” to the table is quick. For each round, a 10-minute timer runs down on the tablet, after which you can order the next round. We really ate a lot and only managed 4 rounds before we were stuffed, so despite the theoretical limit it is considered all you can eat. The warm dishes usually arrived at the table lukewarm, sometimes rather cold, which is also due to the small portions, as they cool down quickly. It was tasty nonetheless. The evening buffet costs just under 30 euros per person. (just under 20 at lunchtime, but less choice). With drinks you end up p.p. So quite quickly between 40 and 50 euros. The price-performance ratio here is really borderline but just acceptable for the “overall experience”. However, we won't repeat this very often or regularly due to the costs.

Nice Saturday lunch with delicious food.

Once upon a time, I was a regular at my favorite restaurant for years. The male Asian employee was always unfriendly and the woman was super nice. The food is always fresh, including the sushi Would give 5 stars for the food. 0 stars for the service, today was the last time I was there and I was treated so badly by the male employee (Asian). I wasn't listened to. I couldn't excuse myself and then he just ignored me and threw us a card. Unfortunately I had to leave and let my companion eat there alone because we always drive 40 minutes there.
