Sakura in Kassel

I've been to Sakura many times and have always been relatively satisfied. The staff is friendly and the owner is super nice. But it has become more and more expensive and the food is getting worse!! €28.80 for an all you can eat is quite a bit, but you expect something for it. However, due to tonight's dinner, I will no longer set foot in the restaurant. All the food: COLD. You could live with it for a few dishes, but it's not very pleasant for meat dishes, croquettes, salmon and shrimp. If it had been a handful, what would have arrived cold or lukewarm... okay. But EVERYTHING? 70€ for two people and then everything cold… I'm super disappointed.

The sushi was okay, but not outstanding. The Aperol Sour was good. We ordered tofu which wasn't seasoned. The beef and noodle soup had coriander, which I think MUST be mentioned on the menu. The fried pack choy was good. All in all, I wouldn't recommend the store and wouldn't go there again.

Always happy to go there. The all you can eat offer honestly never disappoints me. The lady is one of the nicest service workers! Great for sushi lovers

I can't rate the food because after 25 minutes there was still no one to take my order, even though the shop was completely empty. I think it's a cheek, we made eye contact several times, but still no success.

I couldn't eat because after more than 20 minutes, after the seat was assigned, no one wanted to take the order. There was only one other person in the restaurant besides us.

The boss is super nice and the food is fantastic. The selection of sushi was impressive and every dish was freshly made and full of flavor. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for quality sushi!

I was there on a Saturday, DISASTER!! My orders didn't arrive. I had to point out to the waiter several times that my orders hadn't arrived. The only thing that was tasty was the vanilla ice cream. The people who gave 5 stars were tricked into doing so because you get 5 surprises for 5 stars.. Better go somewhere else...

Relaxed atmosphere with very good food 👍

The food is generally delicious, both the sushi and the other dishes. We were there for the buffet in the evening and the restaurant was probably half full. The ambience is quite nice and the seating is also quite comfortable. However, it seems like many Asian restaurants quite full. For example, at the upper entrance there is a large table that is filled to the brim with a mix of decorations and ashtrays, vases, etc. That really doesn't seem very inviting. The service was friendly and quick. Ordering the all you can eat buffet is done via tablet. You can order up to 6 small dishes per person in a maximum of 15 “rounds” and the “delivery” to the table is quick. For each round, a 10-minute timer runs down on the tablet, after which you can order the next round. We really ate a lot and only managed 4 rounds before we were stuffed, so despite the theoretical limit it is considered all you can eat. The warm dishes usually arrived at the table lukewarm, sometimes rather cold, which is also due to the small portions, as they cool down quickly. It was tasty nonetheless. The evening buffet costs just under 30 euros per person. (just under 20 at lunchtime, but less choice). With drinks you end up p.p. So quite quickly between 40 and 50 euros. The price-performance ratio here is really borderline but just acceptable for the “overall experience”. However, we won't repeat this very often or regularly due to the costs.

The food is ok but the boss is very fresh and not nice at all. There was an employee who was lovely. The service is bad to be honest.

The quality has gone down a lot, little variety in the buffet. We ordered Tako Yaki and were served surimi balls. Terrible quality-price ratio. Anymore

Once upon a time, I was a regular at my favorite restaurant for years. The male Asian employee was always unfriendly and the woman was super nice. The food is always fresh, including the sushi Would give 5 stars for the food. 0 stars for the service, today was the last time I was there and I was treated so badly by the male employee (Asian). I wasn't listened to. I couldn't excuse myself and then he just ignored me and threw us a card. Unfortunately I had to leave and let my companion eat there alone because we always drive 40 minutes there.

I've been going to Sakura for over a year now. Unsatisfied ? I've never been! Can only recommend Sakura!

Ambience nice and appealing. You choose the offer on your tablet and you don't have to wait long for it to come to your table. Choose wisely, I, a first timer, was full after five orders. I can do that better

Wir waren dort zum Mittagslunch. Es war mit Abstand das schlechteste Sushi was wir je gegessen haben. Ich schätze das Sushi war vom Vorabend. Der Reis war hart und trocken. Die Füllungen genauso trocken und sehr geschmacksarm. Die warmen Speisen waren kalt. Interessierte aber alles scheinbar die Mitarbeiter nicht. Wirklich schade fürs Geld und absolut nicht zu empfehlen. Vllt. Ist es abends besser und es gibt keine Reste vom Vortag aber das werde ich nach dieser Erfahrung nicht mehr testen.

Was there for the first time yesterday because friends said it was good there, but unfortunately I have to say it was a complete disappointment. The price is not acceptable, unfortunately it is far too expensive. There were 4 of us and we each chose 6 dishes and instead of everything being put on the table individually, unfortunately everything came together, with 4 ducks there was a plate with 4 portions on it and no one knew what they had ordered, it was hard to say what who had. The sauces were forgotten so that you had to eat it dry. Unfortunately, it wasn't until the second time that the sauces arrived upon request. Never again for the first and last time.

It used to be better, service was very bad. Were there on Saturday evening and our tablet was empty, so we couldn't order anything for a while. Especially since the tablet was shattered and you almost cut yourself on the display. Food is ok, used to be much better. The ambience is actually nice, unfortunately there are a lot of leftover food around you on the wooden paneling. We won't be coming back for a while...

My absolute favorite sushi restaurant in Kassel! The food has always been fresh, arrived super quickly and the staff is always very friendly. When it's very busy, a little thing can of course be forgotten, but here too the staff is always approachable and very friendly. I am now a regular here and will continue to come here for meals.

Food was okay. For an all you can eat buffet you can't complain, but you can't really add anything good either. Service was partly partly. The boss was super unfriendly - in a bad mood (that's what he looked like anyway) The politeness of the staff was significantly better and food was brought quickly. Since the boss was unfriendly, I won't go there again.

Went as a couple for the dinner all you can eat. Service was a little confusionary but overall ok. The real problem is the food, very bad quality and some ingredients were definitely not fresh. On many plates there was this sauce that was absolutely horrible and ruined the whole dish. Dirty bathrooms and overpriced water. Do not reccomend

We were there a couple of days ago. We ordered a set of cold rolls and a set of hot ones. The rolls were falling apart, both cold and hot. They did not keep their shape, it was impossible to eat. When they called the waiter and said that this was not the normal appearance of the dish, he responded with dissatisfaction. He proved that everything was fine. They changed the set of hot rolls for us; it differed from the first course in its size. We were not offered to change the cold set. The dishes differ from the picture on the menu and do not hold their shape, the rice crumbled.

We are here regularly. We just really like it. The food comes very quickly and is of great quality. Sushi comes in all sorts of variations and is always lovingly prepared on the plates. Simply a one-stop affair - for the whole family

Very nice restaurant, but unfortunately the food doesn't taste good at all. A few sushis were okay, but unfortunately the warm food wasn't good at all. The salmon & chicken skewers were very dry, the mushrooms and noodles were soaked in oil. It's a shame, we were really happy.

I really enjoy eating sushi... Unfortunately it didn't really appeal to me in terms of taste. A lot of things were too dry and the sauce was the cheap one from Rewe. Of course, All you can eat always has its weaker points in terms of quality, but unfortunately it wasn't good here.

Great atmosphere with very tasty food

I had the vegetarian miso soup and it was really disappointing. I didn't even have an egg with me, so I had to order it separately and so I paid the same as my friend with her meat version including egg. About half of my vegetables were raw onion. Since it was cut very roughly, it didn't cook in the broth. The broth didn't taste like anything special either. Like soup out of the bag (the one with the stars) But the ambience was the worst part of the whole situation. There was absolutely loud and terribly inappropriate music playing, namely pop and techno/pop mix. I don't understand how the atmosphere in a restaurant can be ruined so much when it's so easy to leave it alone. Sometimes the songs were so shrill that I covered my ears in the hope that the waitress would see it and turn it down... In between, the volume was even louder. The service also seemed very annoyed. We wanted to sit out and they didn't say no very politely and there was no explanation either. (There were people sitting outside when we went in, but I don't know if they ate) The chairs are not made to lean on either. All in all bad.

A 0.5 liter drink costs €5 per person and dinner costs €28 per person as an all-you-can-eat option. Six dishes are served in 15 rounds, all of which are offered tapas-style in smaller portions. The sushi was very tasty, with a large selection of different types. There are also various veal, lamb and chicken dishes, which are also served tapas style. Dessert, including ice cream, mochi and other Japanese sweets, is also included in the all-you-can-eat offer. Overall, you'll definitely get full here - we were already more than satisfied after 4 rounds. Definitely worth it!

Strongly not recommended! The ingredients are stale and all the meats are extremely salty. I can’t eat them. I’m always thirsty for drinks. The food is made salty just to sell drinks... Generally speaking, it’s not cost-effective. The ice cream tastes like non-dairy creamer and cost more than 70 euros. It was so salty that I went home with two buckets of water. At that time, the landlady gave the foreigners various drinks. When we paid the bill, there was nothing. We don’t know if we spent too little or something. I will never go there again in my life... mainly because the food is not satisfactory.

It used to be so much better. We were there three weeks ago and were so disappointed. The sushi absolutely doesn't taste good anymore! Unfortunately, it's actually really disgusting... I gave all the sushi back because I and no one else wanted to eat these nigiri leaves... They're totally dry and just plain bad! I've really lost my appetite... That was probably the last time...

Sushi is delicious and in good portions and the homemade sodas are great! The only sticking point was that every now and then something didn't come that we had ordered and then the other way around something came that we hadn't ordered. It can happen, but we still found it delicious. :)

Worst "sushi" I've ever eaten. Completely over-seasoned, undercooked warm rice, warm fish, dry nori sheets. This pink ready-made sauce on all rolls. Really inedible. The first thing you have to do is make me refuse to eat anything. Even the sushi at Rewe down the street has more cuisine. Since the waiter said "we always taste it like that", that was the first and last time we were there.

The restaurant is solid and has potential for improvement. Lunch buffet: Very salty, but reasonably priced The staff works very professionally. Most of the dishes have little to do with "authentic" Japanese cuisine, but that doesn't matter to me personally - I also relatively enjoy eating international dishes. The beef soup is particularly recommended, it is slightly reminiscent of Pho. The fried udon noodles are also great. Constructive criticism: The images in the system urgently need to be updated and adapted to the more cost-efficient reality (keyword: Inari sushi). This also applies to the different images for some salads etc. Otherwise the guest may be disappointed. When it comes to sushi, it's a shame that sauces are spread on some rolls that don't show any sauces on the tablet. However, some people may like the blob of Sriracha mayo, so you could simply update that in the system, for example. You could do a few small repairs because the lamp covered with tape at the front of the table by the door looks a bit strange.

We were just eating there. We were really disappointed. When we ate here about six months ago, it was absolutely great. Very bad today. You can only eat here if you really, really love teriyaki sauce. Everything is covered with it. If you don't like sushi, but the teriyaki sauce will make you happy here. Because everything tastes like this teriyaki sauce. And if it's not teriyaki sauce, it's Japanese mayonnaise. If you are brave enough to dip/dip your sushi in soy sauce, you sometimes end up with unbelievably bad tastes. This is extremely annoying. It's hard to describe what's happening in your mouth. Some things were forgotten when ordering and a napkin that we would have liked didn't arrive either.

I've actually heard good things about the store, but: The worst sushi I've ever eaten, I'm feeling really bad right now. Non-carbonated Coca Cola and probably not original either…. Spritzer was warm... Ginger ale also without carbonation and no real taste, probably not original either or everything diluted with water. The two of us paid €71.80 for warm, really bad sushi with sauces that didn't even go with it and we couldn't even cancel... Never again!!!

There were two of us there and it was really disappointing for the price. The selection is not as good as elsewhere, the sushi has a lot of (sometimes dry) rice and little fish and there is a sauce everywhere that almost completely covers up the taste of the sushi. What was really good: the service.

A nicely decorated shop but unfortunately the food is not good. It has little to do with East Asian cuisine and a lot of ready-made products are served. The peanut sauce was by far the worst I've ever tasted! Sushi from the supermarket tastes better. The food is overall totally bland!

The quality of the food is mediocre to poor. The noodles are greasy and not edible. The mushrooms were completely unseasoned and the dessert was inedible. The dough for the baked bananas was raw and the banana sushi seriously involved wrapping rice around a banana and putting chocolate sauce over it. What you can eat there are the baked chicken and the chicken teriaki sushi. However, it was also noticeable there that no effort was made. The first time we ordered the sushi came with mayonaise and soy sauce, the next time I just ordered the sushi without topping. Unfortunately absolutely not recommended for the price. Overall, I would have liked more choice.
