Unbelievable, simply top-notch every time. The food is delicious no matter what, but here, it's been simply delicious for years.

Halebi kebap and babaganush and Arabism Moka and Lebanese 🇱🇧 Wine 🍷 was delicious

I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the attention to detail in the preparation. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely fair. Very tasty vegetarian appetizer platter. The meat (veal) was also of good quality. It makes sense to reserve in advance, there was no space left.

The food tastes simply amazing!! We ate here on Ramadan. There was free lentil soup, a salad, bread, dips and a bottle of water. Our main course was also excellent! Always happy to come

Once eaten, never forgotten! The shawarma plate was really outstanding. The meat was tender, perfectly seasoned and super juicy. The side dishes were fresh and the sauce rounded the whole thing off perfectly. The portion was generous, so you'll definitely be full. Overall, a great restaurant with delicious food at fair prices. Four of us ate here yesterday. Due to the month of fasting, there is rush hour between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., so plan for a lot of waiting time. Apart from a couple of mix-ups in the order, the service was fine. Our service was super nice and very accommodating (individual rating 5 stars!! :-)). Very solid in taste. Price-performance ratio is OK. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not suitable for larger groups. Still worth a visit. We'll be back.

We ate a chicken chawrma plate but it was not overcooked

They use the flag and name of the Lebanese restaurant but there is nothing Lebanese about them, the shawarma is a simple Turkish kebab and the tabbouleh has nothing to do with the Lebanese taste and you have to add olive oil and not cooking oil to the creams

The Sahara on Heidelberg's main street is a real highlight for lovers of oriental cuisine. The kabab is absolutely perfect – juicy, spicy and grilled to perfection. The falafel and shish tawouk are also great, and there is also a refreshing homemade lemonade. Friendly service and fair prices make the visit worthwhile!

Had a great experience at this Lebanese restaurant! The ambiance is lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The portions are generous, and the flavors are absolutely amazing, the best falafel i have ever tried in Germany. The menu is huge, offering a wide variety of options. Definitely worth a visit!

The food portions, taste, design, and price were great. We ordered a two-person plate plus a salad, and we were very satisfied and full. The waitress at our table was super friendly and nice. The only thing they could improve is cleanliness because the table we sat at was still wet, which was unpleasant.

Went here for the second time today and it was delicious again. The food was consistently fresh, tasty and well portioned. The “Sahara Plate” is highly recommended, here you have a little bit of everything. The service was very friendly and polite. Two small points of criticism: 1. You can save yourself the halloumi salad. It was a bit disappointing because it was almost all iceberg lettuce. It still tasted good, but it was too expensive for what you got. 2. it was quite cold in the restaurant and therefore a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise everything was great, we'll be back.

I was there today with my almost 2-year-old daughter and we were welcomed in a very child-friendly manner. Even though the little one didn't always sit well, it wasn't perceived as a nuisance, thank you for that!!! The food was excellent and a large portion. At lunchtime we got a free seat without having to wait. The garlic sauce and a spicy sauce with the 2 meat skewers were fantastic... everything was simply delicious. Gladly again.

So let's be honest... that was by far the worst Turkish pizza of my life... and I've already eaten quite a few... the dough was as thick as a pizza... tasted like old mutton... no way... the Adana Dürüm were just as nasty... and the bread out of the bag is a disgrace given the expensive price... 2adana and a Turkish pizza for €24 so I'd rather go to Yufka and get a classic one drunk kebab... never again Sahara... really a cheek... whoever goes there will definitely be lucky to eat a burger with Hans...

We came to eat in the evening. There were many people and we queued for a long time. We ordered a set meal for two. At first, the order was wrong. Later, the waiter was so nice that she gave us the wrong order. The food was delicious, the barbecue was very tasty, and the service attitude was very good. Highly recommended!

The three of us went to the Sahara Restaurant on a Saturday evening, without a reservation. Had to wait a short time, but received a very friendly welcome. Overall, the service was attentive and warm. 👍 The shawarma plate wasn't huge, but enough to fill you up. The meat was seasoned deliciously, although not exceptionally so, and I particularly enjoyed the fries. 🍟 The price was just okay for the amount on the plate. A small detail: If we had had children with us, their eyes would probably have been glued to the big TV - there were music videos playing, sometimes more, sometimes less adult-friendly, with quite loud music. 📺🎶 Maybe disturbing for some, but overall the atmosphere was still pleasant. The restaurant was busy, which is always a good sign. We had a lovely evening and would come back! 🍽️😋

This oriental restaurant is absolutely recommended! The food is delicious, fresh and full of flavor - you can tell that the cooking here is made with love. I'm particularly enthusiastic about the drink: lemon with mint, which they serve there as a smoothie. It's incredibly refreshing and perfectly prepared. I come here specifically for this smoothie because it is simply unbeatable. A wonderful place to enjoy delicious food and drinks! 😌

Chips and wraps are not allowed to be eaten indoors. I had to leave the restaurant with my children in sub-zero temperatures because these dishes are only sold to take away. Not a nice experience for us.

Disgusting meat I have never been so disappointed with a meal in my life as I was at this store. Service unfriendly. Enter at your own risk It's better to go to Mahmouds, where quality is very important compared to these cheap ones.

The waiter brought us a dish that we hadn't ordered, which we therefore sent back. After the meal we wanted to pay, of course only for the dishes we ordered. We were then insulted badly by the waiter and the cashier. Never again!

Food was okay, nothing special. We expected authentic shawarma, but it was more like chicken kebab and the fries were a little undercooked.

The food is very tasty, the service is friendly and the atmosphere is nice. But we really didn't like the position of the burger. I wouldn't advise anyone to take it until they change the recipe. The chicken schnitzel itself in the burger is terrible and so is the bun.

Everything has been perfect, the food, the attention, the cleanliness and the price. And the plus was that the waiter who was friendly spoke to us in Spanish.

Restaurant rating (take-out): Unfortunately, my experience with this restaurant was unexpected. We ordered “grilled flower” for 7 euros, which is a very high price compared to the quantities. Additionally, we ordered two meat skewers, and when I tried to change the order just seconds later to a kebab or chicken breast, I was told it couldn't be changed because the food had been put on the stove, even though the order was for home and they could have easily adjusted that. The positives of the experience were few; The meat was tender and very flavorful. But the fries came without ketchup or mayonnaise and without any spices, which made them dry and unpalatable. In the end, we paid 44 euros for fries, falafel, cauliflower, two meat skewers, and soup, which is a lot of money compared to the quality of the food and service. Although the place looked clean, the customer service and simple details like offering toppings with potatoes were not satisfactory. Frankly, the restaurant needs major improvements in dealing with customers and providing a more balanced experience between price and quality.

Visited there with my boyfriend and had legit some of the best food I’ve ever tried in my life. I had the fajita and absolutely dram about going back to Germany, just to taste it again! Absolutely recommend

Very crowded place and confusing service We went on a Sunday at 4pm and had to wait around 15 minutes to sit down (even though there was a free table, a group walked in front of us and sat at the table without being guided to it) The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent, very fresh and seasoned. Perhaps, on weekdays the restaurant is less crowded

We were there with a larger group. The selection and food is definitely solid. Unfortunately there was some confusion between fries and rice. The hummus and sauces are nothing special. The same applies to the meat. Don't do anything wrong. However, it is not an absolute highlight either. The location is very good centrally located. A stroll through the city is recommended. The ambience is definitely successful. Sometimes a little too crowded.

I loved the atmosphere, it was super cozy. As an Arab, this food was like a warm hug. I loved everything we ordered. The kunafa lived up to the expectations, it reminded me of the kunafa I had in Jordan. Overall, highly recommended ❤️

If you accept a reservation for 12 people, then make ROOM for 12 people and don't be rude because you don't see that it's not normal to allocate 11 places and don't want to change anything about that. Unsympathetic employees, I've never experienced such crap before. Also take the orders properly, every order had at least one error.

Worst place ever! We wanted to eat shawarma, portions were very small for the price. The person who took orders was aggressive towards us and spoke very negatively. Then he went back and prepared the shawarma with his bare hands without even wearing gloves or washing hands. Completely disastrous experience.

Didn't get a receipt. Above all, I noticed how the Asian tourist who came after me was served very friendly. For me it was quite the opposite. Didn't feel welcome.

This restaurant was the closest thing I have gotten to REAL lebanese food in Europe and I have tried MANY restaurants. The service was amazing, the food was outstanding, the place is quite full and the location is in a great place. If you’re looking for REAL lebanese food, dont hesitate to come. It transported me back to Lebanon. I really recommend it.

There were four of us there and we ate really well. The food was very tasty. The prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the music was a bit loud and this makes the overall volume a bit unpleasant.

Undoubtedly, our favorite restaurant while visiting Heidelberg. The portions are great, prices reasonable, and good ambiance. We ordered the Shawarma plates with rice and the chicken burgers, and the flavors were amazing. We did not do drinks or desserts, so cannot comment on those. Highly recommend this place!
