There were five of us for dinner. The food came quickly, was delicious and the staff was very friendly. I can only recommend it to everyone. We'll be back.

Worst place ever! We wanted to eat shawarma, portions were very small for the price. The person who took orders was aggressive towards us and spoke very negatively. Then he went back and prepared the shawarma with his bare hands without even wearing gloves or washing hands. Completely disastrous experience.

Didn't get a receipt. Above all, I noticed how the Asian tourist who came after me was served very friendly. For me it was quite the opposite. Didn't feel welcome.

Food is juicy and well made with Lebanese spices. I have tried sahara teller,salami pizza and both were perfect.

This restaurant was the closest thing I have gotten to REAL lebanese food in Europe and I have tried MANY restaurants. The service was amazing, the food was outstanding, the place is quite full and the location is in a great place. If you’re looking for REAL lebanese food, dont hesitate to come. It transported me back to Lebanon. I really recommend it.

Undoubtedly, our favorite restaurant while visiting Heidelberg. The portions are great, prices reasonable, and good ambiance. We ordered the Shawarma plates with rice and the chicken burgers, and the flavors were amazing. We did not do drinks or desserts, so cannot comment on those. Highly recommend this place!

There were four of us there and we ate really well. The food was very tasty. The prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, the music was a bit loud and this makes the overall volume a bit unpleasant.

Sahara was wonderful! I had the Outsi and was cooked to perfection! Service was friendly. The dining room looked lovely. I would eat there again!

Für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und wir haben noch nie so gute und knusprige Falafel gegessen. Super preis/Leistungsverhältnis, netter Service also einfach nur zu empfehlen. Und probiert die selbstgemachte Zitronenlimonade mit Minze… auf dem Rückweg mussten wir deswegen nochmal dort halt machen…

Try Sahara Restaurant and their Sahara Mixed Plate (Different starters, Hommous, Babaghanousch, sharp spicy Potato cubes, puff pastry rolls filled with mozzarella soft cheese, Fatayer, Falafel, grilled eggplant, cauliflower, vine leaves, enriched with salad bouquet, sesame sauce and bread). Beverage prices are almost the price of a burrito. Unnecessarily expensive. The portion we ate was very small. We left the table before the whole family could get enough.

We had to eat two shawarma wraps to fill us up. For €7 per piece it should be enough to fill you up. Overpriced drinks like Ayran 0.4L for €4.30 and Cola 0.4L for €4.50. We left without being full. HARAM

I always enjoy coming here. The shop is always busy, but we never had to wait long for a table. The food tastes delicious and the menu offers a good selection (also for vegetarians). What struck me even more positively than the great food was the service. Even though the waitress was very busy, she was very friendly and attentive. Every now and then he asked if we wanted any more bread, etc. I don't think that's a given in a store that's so full. I'm already looking forward to the next time :-)

It's my first time eating Lebanese food and it's delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the ingredients are fresh. It was difficult to order food as it was my first visit, but I was satisfied with everything I ordered.

I've eaten here a few times and have always been very satisfied. The food was always delicious and I never had any reason to complain. Unfortunately, on my last visit on September 29th. a less than pleasant experience. I ordered a grilled plate of chicken, and unfortunately it didn't go well afterwards. It appears that I have suffered from food poisoning. I really hope this is a one-off incident as I have always appreciated the restaurant.

Everything tastes delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we were at Sahara's we discovered hair in our food. Then we ordered something else - it also had hair in it. Too bad. If you have a beard, you should be careful in the restaurant. Unfortunately, that has made Sahara a no-go for me ever since.

Had the chicken skewer platter which was delicious, the vegetarian wrap was good too, all vegetables were fresh, restaurant could have been a lil more clean. The service was alright. There are toilets available in this restaurant which are clean and tidy

Very nice and top value for money

As a starter we had halloumi in flatbread and filled puff pastry pockets with minced meat. Both tasted delicious. For the main course we had grilled minced meat skewers with pistachio nuts and once minced meat skewers with tomato sauce. We had rice as a side dish. Hummus, garlic cream and a spicy paste are also served. The meat is indescribably delicious and the rice also tastes very good. The dips round it all off. Our waitress was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately the food wasn't as expected. The burger didn't even have any sauce, fries were ok. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The price-performance ratio did not match.

Good Lebanese restaurant. You are invited in, given a seat straight away, then given the cards and your order is taken and 5 minutes later the plate with the food is in front of you. Rarely experienced such fast service. Not even the golden M is that fast. The shawarma plate is highly recommended as the portion is very good and not too expensive. Add an Ayran and the meal is perfectly rounded off. The ambience is quite nice, but nothing extraordinary. A restaurant is not there to look cool, but to make delicious food. Gladly again! A Lebanese restaurant in the city center offers a wide variety of Lebanese dishes, including a great selection of kebabs and vegan options. However, the restaurant could benefit from being a bit cleaner. The staff were nice and friendly.

The restaurant is absolutely great in terms of food. The waitresses are also very friendly. The atmosphere is great, but everything is very cramped and there aren't many places to sit... unfortunately. Price wise completely ok.

Das Sahara liegt sehr zentral in der Heidelberger Altstadt und hat einen Innen- und bei schönem Wetter- auch einen Außenbereich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Sehr schön ist die Vitrine mit diversen frischen Spießen und weiteren Speisen und auch das Ambiente ist ansprechend. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich, für jeden Geschmack, auch für Vegetarier/Veganer findet sich eine gute Auswahl. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt sehr gut, die Gerichte sind mengenmässig absolut ausreichend und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Für Liebhaber orientalischer Küche eine klare Empfehlung.

In una vetrina all’interno sono esposte le varie portate che tu sceglierai e poi verranno cucinate al momento (bella idea). A disposizione anche il menù in inglese. Mio marito ha ordinato un main course con riso, carne e quant’altro: una porzione esagerata e, a suo dire, molto buono. Per me hummus, falafel e una ciotola di olive: tutto ottimo. Diverse opzioni veg. Prezzo giusto per la location. Conviene prendere il vino al calice, perché ti fai 6/7 calici allo stesso prezzo di una bottiglia: forse non hanno fatto bene i conti…

I received my food very late. Also, the food was cold when it arrived. It was obvious that the hummus had been in the plate for a long time, it was dry. I was also served kebab instead of shawarma. I didn't like it, I didn't even finish my plate.

Chickpeas were brown and tasted metallic. All the other entrees had by my party were good though. Service was good. Just do not order chickpea dishes

Overpriced. For the price I would definitely go somewhere else. The fries on the plate were counted. Apparently I got two skewers. But for €17.90 I got a mini plate. When it came to the falafel plate, the bread counted. Nowhere does the waiter bring you too little bread like here. My recommendation: eat there only if you're not hungry.

We had a wonderful dinner at Sahara in Heidelberg. We were there five years ago and went back again this week and were not disappointed. The service was friendly. The Lebanese dinner was authentic and delicious. Warmly recommend it!

Took a sharwarma to go last night, really bad, the meat wasn't cooked through, the sauce didn't taste like anything, half of it was thrown in the trash. ONCE and never again.
