We were a big group, kids between 5-14 years old. Everything with perfect! The food was delicious, enough portions, service was friendly and quick.

The food was OK. I had a shawarma plate. For dessert we had Halawet el Jibn. I have to say the dessert was delicious.

It tasted really good. Recommend to everyone.

Beverage prices are almost the price of a burrito. Unnecessarily expensive. The portion we ate was very small. We left the table before the whole family could get enough.

We had to eat two shawarma wraps to fill us up. For €7 per piece it should be enough to fill you up. Overpriced drinks like Ayran 0.4L for €4.30 and Cola 0.4L for €4.50. We left without being full. HARAM

I always enjoy coming here. The shop is always busy, but we never had to wait long for a table. The food tastes delicious and the menu offers a good selection (also for vegetarians). What struck me even more positively than the great food was the service. Even though the waitress was very busy, she was very friendly and attentive. Every now and then he asked if we wanted any more bread, etc. I don't think that's a given in a store that's so full. I'm already looking forward to the next time :-)

It's my first time eating Lebanese food and it's delicious. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and the ingredients are fresh. It was difficult to order food as it was my first visit, but I was satisfied with everything I ordered.

I've eaten here a few times and have always been very satisfied. The food was always delicious and I never had any reason to complain. Unfortunately, on my last visit on September 29th. a less than pleasant experience. I ordered a grilled plate of chicken, and unfortunately it didn't go well afterwards. It appears that I have suffered from food poisoning. I really hope this is a one-off incident as I have always appreciated the restaurant.

Everything tastes delicious. Unfortunately, the last time we were at Sahara's we discovered hair in our food. Then we ordered something else - it also had hair in it. Too bad. If you have a beard, you should be careful in the restaurant. Unfortunately, that has made Sahara a no-go for me ever since.

Had the chicken skewer platter which was delicious, the vegetarian wrap was good too, all vegetables were fresh, restaurant could have been a lil more clean. The service was alright. There are toilets available in this restaurant which are clean and tidy

As a starter we had halloumi in flatbread and filled puff pastry pockets with minced meat. Both tasted delicious. For the main course we had grilled minced meat skewers with pistachio nuts and once minced meat skewers with tomato sauce. We had rice as a side dish. Hummus, garlic cream and a spicy paste are also served. The meat is indescribably delicious and the rice also tastes very good. The dips round it all off. Our waitress was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

Good Lebanese restaurant. You are invited in, given a seat straight away, then given the cards and your order is taken and 5 minutes later the plate with the food is in front of you. Rarely experienced such fast service. Not even the golden M is that fast. The shawarma plate is highly recommended as the portion is very good and not too expensive. Add an Ayran and the meal is perfectly rounded off. The ambience is quite nice, but nothing extraordinary. A restaurant is not there to look cool, but to make delicious food. Gladly again! Highly recommended!

Unfortunately the food wasn't as expected. The burger didn't even have any sauce, fries were ok. The pizza tasted like a frozen pizza. The price-performance ratio did not match.

Das Sahara liegt sehr zentral in der Heidelberger Altstadt und hat einen Innen- und bei schönem Wetter- auch einen Außenbereich. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell. Sehr schön ist die Vitrine mit diversen frischen Spießen und weiteren Speisen und auch das Ambiente ist ansprechend. Die Speisekarte ist sehr umfangreich, für jeden Geschmack, auch für Vegetarier/Veganer findet sich eine gute Auswahl. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis passt sehr gut, die Gerichte sind mengenmässig absolut ausreichend und alles wird frisch zubereitet. Für Liebhaber orientalischer Küche eine klare Empfehlung.

Mio marito ha ordinato un main course con riso, carne e quant’altro: una porzione esagerata e, a suo dire, molto buono. Per me hummus, falafel e una ciotola di olive: tutto ottimo. Diverse opzioni veg. Prezzo giusto per la location. Conviene prendere il vino al calice, perché ti fai 6/7 calici allo stesso prezzo di una bottiglia: forse non hanno fatto bene i conti…

I received my food very late. Also, the food was cold when it arrived. It was obvious that the hummus had been in the plate for a long time, it was dry. I was also served kebab instead of shawarma. I didn't like it, I didn't even finish my plate.

Overpriced. For the price I would definitely go somewhere else. The fries on the plate were counted. Apparently I got two skewers. But for €17.90 I got a mini plate. When it came to the falafel plate, the bread counted. Nowhere does the waiter bring you too little bread like here. My recommendation: eat there only if you're not hungry.

We had a wonderful dinner at Sahara in Heidelberg. We were there five years ago and went back again this week and were not disappointed. The service was friendly. The Lebanese dinner was authentic and delicious. Warmly recommend it!

A fantastic restaurant. It starts with the extremely friendly service and continues with the wonderful food. The menu is quite large and the selection is difficult. I'm sure every dish is fantastic though. At least my dish was the best thing I've ever eaten.

Food tastes good, large portions. Lots of vegetarian choices. Extremely busy on the weekend, very loud (in the middle of the pedestrian zone). Reservation is not honored, you can save yourself. Service was friendly and quick.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Lebanese restaurant and it was an absolute highlight! We ordered lamb skewer and shawarma, and both were really, really tasty. Particularly worth mentioning are the Yalanji (also known as Yabrak), which tasted simply amazing. The spices and flavors were perfectly balanced and each dish was fresh and deliciously prepared. The service was also friendly and attentive, which made the evening even more pleasant. I can only warmly recommend this restaurant and look forward to my next visit!

The food was ok but the waiter forced us to tip. When I paid a 5 euro tip, he said that normally we should pay 10 percent of the meal as a tip, which was about 11 euros. The waiter here is greedy and it is very unpleasant 😐.

Food is good. But i didn’t like their policy that you can order shawarma sandwich only to go but you can’t sit and have one in house.

Beware of the tourist trap! After the turnips were forgotten in the shawarma and we politely asked for them again (we were sitting at the table inside), we were charged another 5 (!) € for them. Discussing didn't help. Motto: the next stupid customer will definitely come.

Awesome experience! Great authentic Lebanese food. Lots of yummy small dishes like grilled eggplant, Kafka or arayes. Must order the lemon-mint juice. Located right in the heart of Heidelberg‘s Main street. Lovely staff!

I was in the restaurant with a group of 7 people and unfortunately our overall visit was disappointing. First of all, our food didn't arrive at the same time. While some of us were almost finished, others hadn't even received their dish yet. This was particularly annoying since we wanted to eat together as a group. The pizzas were also not convincing. Several pizzas had incorrect toppings or were missing important ingredients. This significantly reduced the enjoyment. Another negative was the shawarma. It tasted like an ordinary Turkish kebab and had none of the promised authenticity. Last but not least, the service was poor. Despite multiple attempts to call a waiter, we were ignored. It seemed like the staff were overwhelmed or simply inattentive. Overall, our visit was unfortunately not what we had hoped for. The quality of the food and the service left a lot to be desired. Improvements are urgently needed to provide guests with a pleasant experience.
