Safari in Heidelberg

Da merkt man die Aufmerksamkeit zu Details, zur Sauberkeit, zur Vorbereitung. Diese Leute sind des Metiers gewachsen!

Wir hatten zwei mal den Schawarma Rap mit Käse bestellt und ein Mal die 6 Chicken Teile. Beides war sehr lecker, aber bei den Chicken Teilen war zu viel Panade dran. Da muss jeder entscheiden, wir er oder sie es mag. Die Wraps waren aber echt perfekt! Der Service war nett und sehr schnell. Im Endeffekt ist es hier eine der besten Restaurants - für den Preis! Drei Getränke, zwei Wraps und eine riesen Portion Chicken waren unter 35€.

Absolutely fantastic food. Was not expecting it when walked in as we had chose the place randomly as we walked along the street. Huge portions of food for reasonable prices, and every bite was delicious. Good service as well from the staff.

A wonderful institution in the center of the city. We tasted Manakish Lahem Bilajil - a large portion, the fillings were not spared, very tasty and filling. Only the best impressions, we will visit again for sure! Thank you!

We had a quick lunch there today and it was incredibly tasty. Shawarma with cheese and falafel plate, everything freshly prepared, staff friendly and ambience also very nice. Looking forward to the next time.

The kofta and fried chicken were both delicious. The server was very patient and friendly. If you are looking for a place with great food and an authentic experience, this is the place for you.

I had an excellent vegetarian mixed plate with salad, falafels, rice-stuffed vine leaves, a pocket with tasty cheese and spinach and maybe one other thing. It was all super delicious and the tahini sauce and 2x dips were yummy and healthy tasting. There was some pita bread too. Nice vibe. Highly recommended. Good value.

The food is good. Was delicious. But nothing special. Shawarma but bad.

Starters were good, but the breaded chicken pieces and the coleslaw were unfortunately unseasoned. I found it annoying that an additional coleslaw in a ridiculously small portion was charged at €4. The service was very inattentive, starter came at the same time as the main course. After the meal, the plates were neither cleared nor asked if we would like anything else. To pay we had to get up and go to the counter. Would I eat there again? Probably not as there is still a lot of room for improvement in the overall package.

Discovered by chance, as one food temple follows the next on the main street.

A very cosy restaurant with great staff and service. The food is good and they hygiene is also present. Highly recommend for anyone passing by.

Because there was no space in the store, we had to sit outside. Despite asking several times whether there was a space available inside, we were turned away - we had to wait outside. However, people who came after us were accepted and we were not. In addition, my food arrived incorrectly. I also told the waitress that, but she said that it was what I had ordered, which is why I thought that it simply looked different in the picture, but that wasn't the case. I personally didn't like it at all and neither did my friends; unfortunately we couldn't finish our plates. When paying, I pointed out that I had been served the wrong order, which was also more expensive than the one I actually wanted. There was no apology and because the order was taken that way, I had to pay the amount for the wrong order. Absolutely not good customer service. If you had apologized, it would still be okay - mistakes happen, it's human. But none. Conclusion: no recommendation from us.

Good and cheap food in the old town. Nice and friendly staff. Gladly again.

The baklava at Safari tasted terrible. It tasted like a deep fryer and was extremely dry. The portion was ridiculously small for the price. Really outrageous!!

Wir hatten in diesem Restaurant in der Vergangenheit schon einige gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Heute Abend haben meine Frau und ich zwei Falafel-Wraps bestellt. Diese schmeckten diesmal überhaupt nicht, geschmacklos und versalzen und auch irgend wie "seltsam". Nach einiger Zeit merkten wir, dass uns beiden aber nach dem "Genuss" der beiden Falafel immer übler wurde. Zu Hause musste meine Frau sich übergeben. Der Apettit auf dieses Restaurant ist uns gründlich vergangen. Nie wieder. Ich ziehe in Erwägung, diese Erfahrung beim Gesundheitsamt zu melden ...

Always passing through but today was the day to go in and taste the Lebanese food. Taste yummy and delicious for the first time being here. I will come back again. Recommended.

Das Lokal bietet libanesische und arabische Gerichte an. Das Essen war lecker. Die Toiletten sind ok.

الطعام ليس سيء بس ناشف ومو مدعوم بالمقبلات او حتى بالصلصة. الخدمة ناقصة مثلاً اجتنا الشوك بعد الاكل. وبالنسبة للنظافة كمان مو تمام وخاصة الحمامات. بس التعامل اكابر ومحترم جداً نظراً انو كان يوم سبت وزحمة.

Its not bad but not good at all

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt vegetarische Gerichte. Personal freundlich. Preise sind mehr als in Ordnung

da wir nicht wussten wie das Fleisch gewürzt ist haben wir Pizza bestellt es war sehr lecker ganz ganz freundlich aufgenommen würde wieder hingehen und mir ein schawarma probieren

I enjoyed a nice shawarma plate and a tabouleh salad and was served by a kind young woman that seemed to be part of the family running the restaurant. She was very helpful and spoke English well. My salad was prepared with very fresh ingredients and I found the prices to reflect a good value for the quality of the food. If you want a quick bite to eat as you are busy sightseeing in the old town, Safari is a great option.
