This was the best food I've ever tasted! We ordered a platter – it was excellent. The taste of "Kashk-e Bademjan" was particularly unique – I will definitely order it again. The service was very friendly and welcoming, especially the lady who took our order.

I was invited by some of my Persian colleagues to eat with them there and DAMNN it was so good, the grilled meats were fresh and delicious as heck , the beef was delicate yet DAMN juicy. The safran infused rice was good and I felt pretty full after the whole meal including a lil starter.

Not particularly special or experiences that remain in memory in a positive sense.

It's an incredibly great restaurant that you should visit when in Stuttgart. Very tasty and authentic food, knowledgeable staff and a calm atmosphere. They've been here for over 10 years and for good reason! I can highly recommend their safran lemonade, eggplant appetizer for two and both vegetarian and meat options. They also cater to people who have gluten intolerance!

Great restaurant!!! Very friendly staff. We had a lot of fun and the children even got to feed the fish. The delicious and authentic food speaks for itself. We are already looking forward to the next visit.

It takes a relatively long time for the food to arrive after you order, but what is conjured up in the kitchen during this time is really top class!

When we arrived there was no one in the restaurant and we were a little worried... after seeing the menu we realized that we have a real restaurant here, we ordered meat dishes and they were large and delicious. The mango lassi is very thick. Recommended as a restaurant after Mount Hofek.

Wonderfully delicious food! All dishes are absolutely delicious, I've tried a lot of them. Saffron lemonade is to die for... saffron ice cream and baklava too. Service staff often don't understand you perfectly, but it's okay. Thanks! Come back 😊

The best meal I’ve had in Stuttgart! Sooo flavourful! Warm and friendly service. The restaurant was a lot larger than expected but also relatively calm on a weekend at 7 PM. We had the Grilleplatte! Great portion for 2 people and all the food was incredibly delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

If you really value yourself, don't eat here. Everything is a disgrace, in every sense of the word. Look at the picture of the kebab. You will feel sick. The leafy kebab is like a toothpick, raw, colorless, soulless, tasteless. When you pound it, it tastes like anything except kebab.

A great little restaurant! Reservations are definitely advisable on busy days. Atmosphere: Stylishly decorated, but overall there's still room for improvement. However, you still feel very comfortable! Service: Super friendly and very quick – drinks take a maximum of 5 minutes, maybe even less. The food also arrived promptly. Always a smile on their faces. The billing was also very customer-friendly and took their time. Food and Drinks: Classic selection of drinks with two Iranian specialties (unfortunately, we didn't try them) – alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks The food was excellent – the eggplant paste for starters was a dream! The rice, vegetables, and bread were sufficient as side dishes. Everything was also very well seasoned. The meat skewers could be larger. But the taste and doneness were also excellent. I'd definitely go back!

Run away!! They didn’t tell me that they don’t accept the credit card. The owner became very aggressive when he realized that I don’t have cash. I didn’t feel safe, I really advise to not go.

We (7 people) decided to visit the restaurant because of the many good reviews. When we entered the restaurant, we first had to look for a waitress who could show us our reserved table. After she wanted to lead us to our table, other guests who came after us simply sat down at the long table in groups of four. Instead of making the other guests aware that we had reserved for this table, we were shown to another table that was much smaller and we couldn't imagine that we could all have eaten at this table. (After we got the small plates, for an Iranian restaurant, we understood how we would have fit squeezed together at the small table.) When the waitress noticed our displeasure, we were offered a longer table. Until the food came, everything was very pleasant and nice. When the food came, half of the dishes could actually have been sent back. We had ordered various grilled plates and in almost all of them at least one skewer was not cooked through. It wasn't just a shame about the meat, but also about the money, since you pay a lot in a Persian restaurant and this restaurant was also in the usual price range for an Iranian restaurant. P.S. If you're hoping for a good dough, don't get your hopes up.

Safran has a very interesting selection of dishes that are deliciously prepared! The pomegranate sauce was to die for! The atmosphere is very nice, I would also like to highlight the courteous service! The price-performance ratio is more than okay! We would be happy to come back, thank you very much to the entire team!

My family and I have often traveled from another city just to enjoy the delicious food at this restaurant in Stuttgart. Every dish you order here is simply incredibly delicious – no matter what you choose. The taste of the food is unique and of the highest quality. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and the prices are absolutely fair. I have visited many Iranian restaurants in various cities in Germany, including Munich, Frankfurt and others, but the Safran restaurant in Stuttgart cannot be compared with them in any way - it offers an incomparably high level of quality.

Lovely restaurant with a goldfish tank, which is unfortunately a bit too small for the fish. The vegetarian dishes and the eggplant appetizer were great. I'd gladly go back.

According to the menu, the meal contained saffron rice. I got a lot of white grainy rice (barberries) with a few yellow spots on top, which didn't give the dish the typical saffron taste. Unfortunately that was just decoration, a fig leaf. For a restaurant named after this admittedly expensive spice, that's simply not enough.

I went to this restaurant for the first time, the quality of the food was very low, and the amount of food was extremely small, the meal for two was less than a normal meal, the food was extremely spicy and salty, and we were not satisfied at all, the price was expensive compared to the food. And we waited a long time for the food. I hope the quality of the food and customer service will be better in the future, or you should not visit the restaurant with this bad quality.

I've recently been in the Safran restaurant in Stuttgart, two days after the Christmas 2025, I was disappointed by the quality of the food, the quality of rice was terrible, they've used Indian rice instead of Iranian rice for 30 euro food it is shameful. Moreover it takes one hour untill they served the food! We were both angry and exhausted by their disrespect towards us. Overall I wouldn't recommend it to everyone one, specially my Iranian countrymen. If they disrespected us in such a manner what do they would to others!

My first visit to Safran in Stuttgart. Parked near the Liederhalle, just a few minutes' walk away. The ambiance is pleasant. The staff was very friendly. Since some of our group hadn't arrived yet, the friendly lady started by ordering our drinks. The appetizers were delicious. Something completely different. The main course was truly a culinary delight. Kudos to the kitchen/chef. After this first visit, it's clear I'll definitely be coming back. Recommendation: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Atmosphere: 4/5

Fantastic food especially the eggplant starter

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Safran in Stuttgart, and it was truly a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was outstanding—the staff greeted me warmly, were attentive throughout the meal, and clearly took pride in ensuring that every guest felt welcome. The food itself was excellent. Each dish offered authentic Persian flavors, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. Everything I tried, from the tender kebabs to the fragrant rice, was both delicious and satisfying. The only small suggestion I have is regarding the drinks. It would be preferable if the restaurant served canned or bottled fizzy beverages instead of pouring them from a large family-size bottle, as the soda quickly lost its carbonation. This is a minor point, however, and it didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal. All in all, Safran provided a fantastic dining experience. If I find myself in Stuttgart again, I’ll certainly return for another great meal and warm hospitality.

The best Iranian restaurant in Germany that I know so far 🤌🏼✨

We ordered Kobideh, Sultani, and Berg. The meats tasted great. We were very satisfied. It was really delicious. The yogurt, cucumber, and mango yogurt were very attractive and fresh. It was also great to have a saffron drink. The behavior of the female staff was very respectful and friendly. The environment was also good, but the restroom was not at all neat and clean. Overall, the food was really great and delicious. And interestingly, we were the only Iranians there. Everyone was German. This was very interesting to me and the reason is that the female German staff spoke their native language and were very professional.

We always enjoy coming here and are more satisfied each time than the last. The food tastes fantastic, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The wait time is communicated from the start, which we really appreciate – because if you want fresh food, you're happy to wait. I love the atmosphere here and the music playing in the background – it makes the visit even more enjoyable. Highly recommended!

All around, outstandingly delicious Persian cuisine at fair prices. A small point deduction for the ambiance (they made the most of the place) and the fact that they don't accept card payments. However, the delicious food and friendly service more than make up for it.

Don't come to this stupid place! They close at 10pm on Sunday. I came at 8:45pm and they said they are closing and no food for us. They should close down the restaurant if they don't want to do business.

Been there for the second time today. The vegetarian dish with beans was delicious and the service was also attentive and explained things on their own. The only complaint about the service is that the starters were served before the drinks. But in this case that is complaining at a high level. Unfortunately I didn't like the baklava.

We have been visiting this restaurant for a long time and every time we feel like we are at home in Iran. The kebab is grilled to perfection – juicy and not overcooked. It's a great choice for both Iranians and anyone who appreciates good kebab. The owner is often on site, goes to great lengths to provide the best and speaks Persian, which is particularly valuable to us.

On the way, I entered Stuttgart because of the desire for Iranian food, and at the suggestion of the lady in charge of the restaurant, I ordered a battered kebab with bread. Less than two minutes later, I requested that it be served with rice instead of bread, but the gentleman who behaved very disrespectfully told me that it was not possible and that the rice should be served. Order separately!!! The kebab was of very poor quality and a bit raw, the bread with the kebab was obviously not that day's, the behavior of the female staff was respectful, but the behavior of the male manager was very arrogant and rude. The price of a single skewer with bread without drinks is about 17 euros, not recommended at all.

It is an excellent place with warm and friendly owners and staff. The owners, Manju and Sumit are very friendly and take good care of the clients. The food is delicious and they have a lot of variety to choose from. If you like to enjoy good Indian food, it’s the place to be.

I recently ordered the platter for two at Safran, and I must say, it's one of the best dining experiences I've had in Stuttgart. The food tasted incredibly authentic, and I can definitely see myself coming back again and again. The only downside is that they don't accept card payments, which can be a bit inconvenient. Nonetheless, the quality of the food and the overall experience more than make up for it!

Very nice food with nice atmosphere, they have changed many of the recepies, so you get a modified version of original iranian disehs but the qualty is still good.

The restaurant offers very poor service, very unfriendly and slow. The food was relatively expensive. Kebab was dry, salty and very small portion. You can't be full with just one portion. Afterwards I had to order two more things to make sure I was full. I would never go again, it was very disappointing. I definitely do not recommend this restaurant!!!

We decided to eat here on the spur of the moment this afternoon. The waitress provided information about the dish and very kindly informed us that the preparation of the food might take a little longer as it was quite busy. The food came very quickly and was a real culinary delight :) Well-seasoned sauces, tender chicken, fluffy rice and vegetarian dishes that worked well even without meat We will be happy to come back!

We had a very nice evening at Safran. The food was very tasty, starting with great starters, the eggplant, onion and feta cheese dip was a taste explosion. The main courses were also very good, very seasoned, nicely presented and all the meat skewers were tender and not dry. Very friendly, courteous service. The host gave us wonderful advice when ordering, as it was the first (but certainly not the last) time we were there.

We were there as a group and had a fun evening in a cozy atmosphere. The food was very tasty and the innkeepers were friendly and accommodating. Very happy again!
