The food is very good. There's always a welcome drink from the chef before each meal.

Yesterday we went there 7 people problem start soon as we eat they didn’t care we were there 5-6 times we flag down and finally one of the waiters came we gave our order we all order kebab French fries and shrimps and drinks 10-15 minutes we got everything what we order then show start I can’t describe there are no words how bad was kebabs horrible salty no taste what so ever French fries was seriously salty shrimps was same I will add bread picture they bring pita from fridge cold pita unbelievable okay long story short we paid 250 euro for cold salty taste less food anyway even if they give free food I won’t go there For food even 1 star is too much For service again 1 star is too much

I recently visited this restaurant. During my visit, I gathered a few impressions: The main course was delicious, the starter tasted different than I expected, and the portion seemed a bit small for the price. The service was less than attentive for me personally, but overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. These are my personal experiences, which may help other guests make their decision.

The minced meat skewers are great!

“Unfortunately, this restaurant has several issues. 1 – Poor Service The cleanliness of the table was not good, and the placemats were dirty. After requesting to have the table cleaned, a staff member simply wiped it with a damp cloth and left it wet. Before the food was ready, the restaurant offered a complimentary starter of bread, herbs, and cheese, which is a nice gesture. However, for a group of five people, the portion brought was barely enough for three. After I asked again, another plate was brought a few minutes before the main dishes arrived — which felt too late to matter. Throughout the meal, and even after we finished, no one came to check if everything was okay or if we needed anything. It seemed that the staff’s attention was more focused inside rather than on the customers sitting outside. 2 – Poor Food Quality Unfortunately, it’s becoming common in some Iranian restaurants to serve smaller portions with fewer sides, often with the excuse that “foreign customers don’t eat much, so we adjust to that.” But the truth is, most of your main customers are Iranian, and the portion sizes and presentation should match Iranian culture and expectations. If you look at American restaurants, for example, they always provide generous, complete portions and take responsibility for the value they offer. Here, the amount of rice per plate was small. No whole grilled tomato was served — usually just half a tomato per plate. The salad, served without any dressing, felt low in quality and not fresh. The taste of the meat was unfortunately weak, although the portion size was decent. The “Zeytoon Parvardeh” (marinated olives) had no resemblance to authentic Iranian style. While they tasted okay as flavored olives, they were far from the traditional recipe. To be fair, when we expressed dissatisfaction with the olives, the restaurant kindly offered us a yogurt and cucumber dish free of charge. Overall, the experience was not pleasant for us, and I cannot recommend this restaurant. Positive points: • Located in the city center, so it’s easy to visit after shopping or sightseeing. • Outdoor seating is available, not just indoors. • Complimentary traditional Iranian starter (bread, cheese, and herbs). • Reasonable prices

The restaurant is very beautiful and the food is very clean. Regardless of the price, it is worth every penny. I thank the owner of the restaurant, Chef Amjad, for his warm welcome and informality. He is a kind-hearted and cheerful man.

We ordered two portions of chelokebab, a kebab platter and a chicken fesenjan. Unfortunately the kebab platter wasn't available, which left us a bit disappointed. But overall the taste was very good and the food was fresh. I'm only deducting one star from the service because we had to wait a long time - and not without reason, because the man was the only person who took the orders. Nevertheless, I will definitely come back again.

Authentic restaurant and offers delicious tea on the house at the bedside table.

Hidden restaurant but with a huge menu. I had a mixed special plate. The meat was top and everything tasted good. I can only recommend the tea.

We've been coming here at least once a year for our anniversary for six years now. And the food and the hosts never disappoint! The leg of lamb with rice is a dream, and the other grilled dishes are always excellent, too. As long as Nirvan is around, we'll remain loyal customers!

We had a class reunion in Nirvan. Our expectations were met. The food was really tasty. However, there is not much choice of wine. Although it wasn't busy, we had to wait about 40 minutes, but it wasn't intrusive. The music is oriental, which is normal in a Persian restaurant. Overall, we all went home satisfied.

I visited this restaurant with my freind. There were too many issues including service, low quality food and strange manners of staff. I had food poisening and suffered for 2 days after the dinner. While my freind and I were talking there was one of staff sitting in next table who would intrupt us and engage in our conversation without invitation!! It was very strange and uncomfortable for both of us, I asked him politely multiple times to stop interfirering in our private conversation but it didn’t work. I has similar expetince with the waitress who always is there, she tries to listen and looks at your conversation and table curiously which is unpleasent! I asked the waiter for napkins and she took a tissue paper from a box on her desk and handed it to me. She could have offered the box so I can pick it myself, what she did was not hygienic specially she was touching notes and cash money before handeling my so called tissue. I not going back ever again .

We ordered Djujeh kabab with ostekhan. It was just bone and very few amount of chicken meat!!!the beef was very hard and not good cooked. Just kashke bademjan as the appetizer was tasty. We will not go there again in future, it was very expensive for the poor quality of food.

Very friendly service and nice decor. But it is very loud. The restaurant is in the basement and every time customers come down the stairs there is an unbearable noise. The motion detector is so clumsily attached that it continues to ring tirelessly as customers wait to be seated at the stairs. The food is good and the portions are pleasant. But it is very expensive. A plate of simple vegetables with rice and a bottle of water costs around €30. There were two of us, we each shared a starter and dessert and only had one drink each. Total: 100€ The relationship isn't right. Was it tasty? Yes. Are we going there again? No. The food and service weren't worth €100.

I have been there several times, the staffs are really kind but the quality is not as good as previous. The atmosphere is also good.

A very authentic restaurant with delicious dishes. It was our first time there and we were thrilled. The appetizer was delicious, and the main course was nothing short of amazing: INCREDIBLY delicious 😋😋 The service was friendly, the ingredients were of excellent quality, and the meat was tender as butter. Service - nicht sehr aufmerksam Preis/Leistung - absolutes nogo! Ein Vorspeisenteller für zwei, ein kleines und ein noch kleineres Gericht. Zwei Bier drei 0,2 Hauswein, dafür fast 100€, geht nicht! Preise für Getränke hab ich nirgends gefunden. Warum wohl ...

Vegetarian options are absolutely overpriced and not particularly tasty. Almost €20 for some zucchini or eggplant with rice? Certainly not a second time!

5 stars for the appetiser and dessert. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see the variety in the menu. We tried the Dolme Barg starter of stuffed wine leaves with joghurt, and it was really tasty. For the main course, I ordered the okra stew Khoreschte Bamieh. The lentils were not completely cooked and spoiled the texture of the curry because it was very watery then. The overall taste was also so-so, though the safran rice served with it was perfect. Lastly, we ordered the faloodeh as dessert, and it was amazing. Would definitely recommend it! The service was okay; the waitress seemed to keep nudging us to order our next course without waiting for us to finish. But otherwise the place has a nice ambience. Perhaps meat-eaters will enjoy the main courses more.

The restaurant is excellent, the dishes are very varied, the staff are friendly, and the price is reasonable. The best restaurants in Stuttgart, Switzerland, have international ones.

Herbst 2022 Warnung: Dieses Restaurant erfüllt leider nicht die grundlegenden Erwartungen an Service und Qualität. Voller Vorfreude besuchten wir dieses Restaurant, doch leider wurden wir bitter enttäuscht. Von Anfang an herrschte eine unfreundliche Atmosphäre, und die Bedienung zeigte keinerlei Interesse an uns als Gäste. Die Bestellung gestaltete sich schwierig, und die Vorfreude auf den Nachtisch, Baklava mit Sahne, schwand schnell dahin. Statt der erhofften Sahnetörtchen bekamen wir lediglich zwei lieblos angerichtete Baklava-Stücke zum überzogenen Preis von 5,90€. Auch die Hauptspeisen waren bestenfalls durchschnittlich. Doch der Höhepunkt der Enttäuschung kam beim Bezahlen: Ohne jegliche Vorwarnung erfuhren wir, dass das Kartenlesegerät defekt sei und es keine Möglichkeit gäbe, einen Rechnungsbeleg zu erhalten. Auf unsere Nachfrage hin erfuhren wir außerdem, dass ein Techniker bereits unterwegs sei – allerdings an einem Samstagabend um 19 Uhr eine mehr als fragwürdige Aussage. Verwundert und skeptisch kehrten wir am nächsten Tag erneut in das Restaurant ein, um einen Salat zum Mitnehmen zu bestellen. Erstaunlicherweise war der Kassenbon vom Vortag plötzlich wieder aufgetaucht und auch die Kartenzahlung funktionierte reibungslos. Doch die Freude über den vermeintlich guten Service währte nur kurz: Statt des bestellten Shrimpssalats bekamen wir paniertes Hähnchen – für Vegetarier wie uns ein absolutes No-Go. Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass dieses Restaurant in keiner Weise unseren Erwartungen gerecht wurde. Der unprofessionelle Service, die mangelnde Kommunikation und die gravierenden Qualitätsmängel bei den Speisen machen einen weiteren Besuch unmöglich. Wir hoffen, dass das Restaurant seine offensichtlichen Defizite in Zukunft behebt, um seinen Gästen eine akzeptable Erfahrung bieten zu können.

Very expensive and poor quality, I don't recommend it at all

One of my favorite places in Stuttgart. It is on the expensive side. So not for everyday. I have tried almost everything they have on the menu. The meat is exquisite. Just delicious. I would recommend this 100%.

I have visited Nirvan several times now and I have to say. The food is good and authentic Persian. In the small rooms we succeeded in bringing the Persian style to the guests. I have the feeling that Nirvan is constantly improving and learning. Service, food and the feel-good factor have improved significantly in recent years! We'll definitely be back.

An Iranian restaurant with delicious food. Iranian food is known for grilled meat, chicken, shrimp, fish, rice, salads, appetizers, ayran yoghurt, soft drinks, juice, red tea, and the rest of the drinks. The restaurant is tidy, but as soon as you enter, you go down to an underground floor and there is outdoor seating above. I advise visiting the restaurant and I advise the staff to be courteous and professional and to be welcoming to the restaurant’s customers. The restaurant's location is vital in the center

A tasty small Persian restaurant in the heart of Stuttgart. We had a wonderful lunch, mostly with Persian kebab and delicious entries. The prices are a little high, but still ok.

The food was of extremely poor quality, it was not pounded at all, it was more like mud than pounded and that it was raw. I really don't know how they can be so irresponsible. We visited this restaurant, as I wanted to invite two Turkish friends of mine to have Persian dishes. I made the decision based on the reviews here on Google. I thought it would be a pleasant experience, unfortunately it was pure disappointment. Do not fall for the positive reviews you read here! Here are a few points from our experience: 1. Our meals were not hot when they were served to us. 2. Quality of Kubideh kebabs were terrible. It was made of very low quality minced beef mixed with too much onion. 3. Tomato's were unripe, raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. 4. There was a ring, which I assume was to notify the waiters to pick up the food from the kitchen, and it was so loud and would get triggered every few minutes several times in a row in an annoying manner. To put it in a nutshell, quality and experience do not match the price you will have to pay for the check at the end. Stay away from this restaurant with it's low-quality food, loud and annoying atmosphere, and expensive prices!

I was really looking forward to this place. Unfortunately, they didn't even attend us, we waited there for 30 minutes. There were two staff members who seemed to be available but did not care enough. So we just got up and left.

As an Iranian I was really disappointed tonight, we ordered Kabab Makhsus but it really wasn't Kabab Makhsus, it was dry, salty and much smaller than before, Supe Jo was delicious but half of it was just oil!!!! Prices have become incredibly expensive, a 0.7 Meniral water €7.90 for this service??!!! The waitress only came to us once to take our order, no more, a snack bar would have had better service?!?!!!! And in the end I ordered an ice cream for €9.90 but it was worth €0.50, so what you see here is not available in the restaurant, neither in terms of price nor quality :(((( Sorry, no longer recommended 😔😔😔

I have eaten in many Persian restaurants and have to say that this one was the best of them all. Quite difficult to find at the beginning because it's in the basement. Inside, however, there is a pleasant atmosphere, friendly service and a menu with pictures, which is particularly good for people who may be trying out Persian cuisine for the first time. The food tasted very good, the meat was juicy and the rice was really good too. Card payment is also possible. I'll definitely be back!

We were at Nirvan last Saturday evening without a reservation. Luckily we got there early, otherwise we wouldn't have gotten a seat. Although the restaurant consists of a single room and is located in the basement, it is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant. The decor is modern, but with Persian touches (carpets and paintings on the walls). The meal was excellent. We ate Kashke Badenjan as a starter and Kebap Sultani and Khoreshe Gheyme as a main course and homemade saffron ice cream as a dessert. The service was very friendly and the food was brought to the table very quickly. We drank a large glass of dough and a Diet Coke. We paid around 95 EUR for everything. We can absolutely recommend Nirvan. Interestingly, the guests were not only Iranians, but probably half of the guests were Germans, who obviously appreciate Iranian cuisine - just like we do.

Other Iranian restaurants come in terms of taste and are not as pricey as this one. But overall I was satisfied.

Vom Sonntagsspaziergang hungrig durch die Stadt flanierend, kamen wir durch Zufall an der Tür zum Nirvan vorbei. Spontan ging es die orientalisch dekorierte Treppe hinunter in den Keller. Hier sitzt man gemütlich und wählt aus den bebilderten Speisekarte. Getränke und Vorspeise kamen zügig, der Hauptgang wurde auf den Tisch dazu gestellt, als wir die Vorspeise noch nicht beendet hatten. Die Preise sind sicher gehobener. Alle Speisen war frisch zubereitet, lecker und ausreichend groß. Neben deutschen waren auch einige arabisch aussehende Gäste dort. Wir sehen dies als Qualitätsmerkmal. Die etwas zu laute Hintergrundmusik scheint anhand der Werbespots gewöhnliches Radio zu sein. Diese hätten wir uns etwas dezenter gewünscht. Insgesamt ein gelungener Abend mit leckerem Essen in angenehmer, arabisch anmutender Atmosphäre für uns. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Der Service war nett und relativ schnell, leider hat ein Essen gefehlt und wurde ca. 10 Minuten später nach gebracht. Das Essen war aber insgesamt wirklich sehr lecker. Die Preise sind leider mittlerweile etwas teuer, was aber durch die aktuelle Situation verständlich ist.

unprofessional service and overpriced menu My wife and I had a short stop in Stuttgart on our way home and decided to have a late lunch at this restaurant, but it turned out to be a really bad experience. I thought we were lucky that we can still have lunch at around 16:00 on a public holiday day. We ordered Fesenjun to eat there and also Kash o Bademjan to take away with us. Here are the things we liked about the place: - nice menu with photos - tasty Fesenjun and what we didn't like: - unprofessional service (read the story below) - overpriced menu, extremely over-rated (an underground restaurant with normal decorations) I asked for A GLASS of water for my wife who was dehydrated a bit, and the server brought us 2 big glasses of water. Okay, nice! Once we were finished with the Fesenjun, we asked for a dessert (Faloodeh-Icecream) and two cups of tea. We got the dessert but there was no sign of tea. We had a 5 hours drive ahead to home, so decided to leave. Asked the server for the bill, and here is where the story begins: (1) She came to us with a CALCULATOR, and asked us what we had ordered, and she came up with some numbers. She seemed far from being about to apologize for not giving us the BILL, and that she comes to the table with a calculator. For a few seconds, I was under the impression that this is a norm in Stuttgart, or maybe the cashier-machine is broken. I only got the bill (see the photo) when I asked for it. So, she didn't want to bother and print a bill at the beginning? this is unbelievable! (2) When I looked at the bill (see the photo), I realized that we were charged 8.6 euros for TWO 0.4L WASSER STILL. This is where I was offended most. I have been in numerous restaurant where the server brings a BOTTLE of still water, pours half of it into my glass and puts the bottle on the table, giving me the choice to drink at my pace. The server at Nirvan only brought us two GLASSES of water, put that aside that we only asked for one glass of water. A 0.4L bottle of still water serves perfectly two people and I wonder what made them think that we need 0.8L water, and why they didn't show/put the bottles on the table. (3) we also ordered a Kash o Bademjan as takeaway, and a few hours later we opened the box to eat it. It was only then that we realized we got smashed eggplants + yoghurt as Kash o Bademjan. The yoghurt part was okay, we were already told about that. The shocking part was that there was no sign of usual add-ins such as walnut. It was just smashed eggplants for 9.9 euros. Too late but I just noticed that another reviewer had recently mentioned this issue. (4) Overpriced menu! 22.9 euros for Fesenjun!

Das Essen war nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht besonders gut. Relativ teuere Preise, insbesondere 9€ für einen mickrigen Salat aus Gurken und Tomaten. Würde nicht wiederkommen. Service sehr schlecht, mussten zwei Mal nachfragen, um überhaupt Besteck zu unserem Essen zu bekommen!

Edit: Essen qualitativ nicht schlecht, Aber Service und Umgehen mit Kunden extrem mangelhaft. Auf keinen Fall zu empfehlen. Normalerweise reagiert ein Restaurantbesitzer positiv zu der Kritik und versucht sich zu verbessern, stattdessen begrüßt der Inhaber die Bewertung mit einer Bedrohung von einem Rechtsanwalt, das sagt natürlich viel über die Politik dieses Restaurant.
