Sabor Latino in Berlin

The restaurant was very well attended. The only waiter made an effort. The appetizer platter was delicious. The main courses left a lot to be desired, which is why I'm surprised at the positive reviews. The beef was tough, the chicken dish was tasteless and unfortunately the civiche wasn't good either. Unfortunately, we didn't like the biscuit for dessert either. Too bad

The beef hearts and the Amazon with chicken strips were very tasty. The corn biscuits and caramel pudding were delicious.

Nice restaurant and friendly staff. But the food could be better; for the prices, slightly larger portions and more side dishes would be appropriate. The quality of the fish from the ceviche was not good, the taste of thawed fish clearly stood out. The presentation of the plates seems a little careless

A very busy restaurant, without a reservation it would be difficult to find a seat. The cerviche is excellent and tastes very tasty. Overall, there were many interesting flavor nuances that were very exciting.

Locale dall'atmosfera piacevole, raccolto in non molti metri quadri, collocato a un minuto o poco più di cammino dall'uscita della metropolitana di Berliner Strasse, con uno staff giovane e gentile. Mi piacerebbe dargli un voto migliore, ma il piatto di cedviche misto che sia io sia la mia compagna abbiamo mangiato, pur avendo pesce e polpo molto morbidi, era poco saporito e un po' troppo liquido: mancava di un adeguato tempo di macerazione e di un pizzico di sale. Molto buona la crema di maracuja, discreti i pisco sauer, buona la cicha morada. Ma, avendo ormai una lunga esperienza di ristoranti peruviani, non posso collocarlo sopra la media, così come nella media sono i prezzi. Nel nostro caso, per quanto descritto più un calice di vino, 78,50 euro. Comunque, un'esperienza positiva.

Latin flavor better said Latin failure. A chicha morada so bad if you serve it to a Peruvian it will kill you, it seemed Spülwasser direkt zurück gegeben. Fish CHICHARON 4 Pieces of fish with some old potatoes. It is normally served with yucca and a delicious sauce. The Salsa looked like REMULADE from Aldi THAT FOR 20 Euros you can say Chicaron from Frechheit. The Seco was cooked more or less delicious but for a dish for more than 20 Euros you cannot put peas and carrots from the can. It was cold in that place. Go to Köln to the Inca and get a taste of how Latin cuisine works. Kann man nicht empfehlen. It seems that it is so difficult to provide something good for more than 75 Euros for two People. As a Latino I felt robbed. Bad Berlin Latino Experiment. They ruined my night with what they served me.

Very good restaurant! The dishes were very tasty but a bit salty for me! Beef heart and lamb shank each have their own flavors, which is great! Recommend~

I really liked going to this Peruvian restaurant, I personally love Peruvian food and it was delicious to eat here. As an observation it would be that we waited a long time for them to give us the menus and for the food to arrive, we had to ask the waiter for the menus.

I have been several times and the truth is that the food is very good. I highly recommend the yucas, the fish ceviche is delicious! I also recommend the empanadas, the chicharrón and the sautéed loin. To drink, pisco and chicha morada.

A little piece of Peru in Berlin - that is probably the most appropriate description for this restaurant. The taste transports you straight to the coast in Lima. Not the cheapest meal, but definitely worth it. Extremely recommended!

A very authentic Peruvian restaurant a little off the beaten path. The food is very tasty and prepared quickly. Of course, the ceviche in all its variations is particularly recommended. Of course, you should definitely order a Pisco Sour with it, which is available in large numbers over the counter. The service is obliging but also rather neutral and friendly. Interestingly, changing a side of fries for the very tasty mashed potatoes that was often served was not possible. 🤔 I would also have liked a little more attention in general. 😒 But admittedly the restaurant was well booked. That's the best sign of good quality👍🏼.

It was my first time trying Peruvian food, recommended to me by a Peruvian friend, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect. I was genuinely surprised by how delicious every dish was! I highly recommend this restaurant—it’s fantastic.

Great atmosphere, lovely staff. And delicious dishes! Don't miss out on the cevice! And treat yourself either with a pisco sour or a chicha morada (non alcoholic beverage juice) to complete your dinner. I'll come back!

Honestly the best Peruvian restaurant in Berlin. Without modern pretensions and generous quantities. The ceviche was incredible and the loin exquisite. The service was also a good experience. We will return soon to taste other dishes on the menu.

It's a fantastic place with a great selection of fish dishes and other traditional Peruvian cuisine. Highly recommended, but may try during the less frequented hours, since the place can be a bit crammed when full ❤️ The quality of the food is amazing, which is really nice since I was looking for a nice, high quality restaurant with good seafood dishes 🐟

We were there for the first time today. The food was good and the cocktails too. The restaurant overall is inviting and beautifully designed. Now to the part we didn't like so much. We had made a reservation and when we came to the restaurant we were told the table would be outside (with the outside temperature being 10 degrees). We were perplexed because our online reservation didn't say anything about the table being outside. Then of course we wouldn't have gone to eat there because it would definitely have been too cold for us given the temperatures. We were then seated at a table right at the exit but somehow we found that rude and strange. The table was uncovered compared to the other tables and no effort was made to change anything during the evening. In general we found the service too inattentive. If I make a reservation, I want to have a reasonable table like everyone else. That disappointed us.

Excellent pisco sour and legit ceviche.

Das Essen hat uns als Chilene und Peruaner vollends zufrieden gestellt. Es sind traditionelle klassische Speisen die authentisch und auf einem hohen Niveau zubereitet werden. Ebenfalls sind die Getränke authentisch Pisco Sour 10/10. Ich würde das Restaurant jederzeit weiterempfehlen!

Tastes like I know it from home, very authentic food, with apparently homemade chicha morada, but unfortunately the portions are hardly a fraction of what you know from Peru. For the price I left hungry, which was very disappointing. My mother was also only full of her plate of jalea because it consisted mostly of yuca. Ambiance, service, taste, you can't complain.

Great discovery in the neighborhood. An exciting change from the well-known cuisines and restaurants. Typical Latin American dishes are served that are beautifully presented and taste even better. I'm looking forward to gradually testing all the dishes and finding out what exciting flavors there are.

Como peruana y de visita en Europa quise probar mi comida peruana y me llevé una buena sorpresa comiendo en Sabor Latino, pedímos ceviche, causa, papa a la huancaina y aji de gallina, todo riquisimo y un precio justo. Muy simpaticos los q te reciben.

I had cheese empanadas and cassava fries here, both were delicious. Service was also good, just make sure you have a reservation as it can be full.

A delight from starter to dessert!

The food is really delicious! Just something different. The seafood and fish were cooked perfectly. Not too through. The service was also very friendly and on the ball. The price is a bit higher but justified given the quality of the products. After the visit we thought about taking a vacation to Peru. It was that good We'll be back :)

Cozy resteraunt with well presented food. It looked very appetizing and it tasted also good. What i liked the most is that our taste pallets got to taste something different. The meat filling of the empanadas was awesome. Would have liked a bowl with that filling. The pork belly was somehow dry and chewy and the crust was not existing. Left us with a fatty and chewy bit. But all over i liked the experience of puruvian food. Chevice was great.

I was in Peru for three months and when I returned I looked for Peruvian restaurants because I was so excited about Peruvian food. I didn't expect to find such an authentic restaurant in Berlin. The dishes were so delicious. I was really excited and can't wait to go again! Something to consider: It's better to make a reservation in advance!

Good food, friendly service, nice atmosphere. The food is authentic and the chicha morada is great (the best I've tried so far in Peruvian restaurants). The price is completely normal, I didn't have the feeling that the food was overpriced. The seating and general atmosphere are comfortable and very bright. The only negative aspect I can think of, is that I didn't receive a receipt, even though I asked for it (that was a misunderstanding, not bad intention). Definitely recommendable restaurant!

Delicious food, the Civiche is delicious, the Pisco Sour too. We recommend. It's better to make a reservation, the restaurant is quite small and fills up quickly.

Food is average nothing special. Service is awful be prepared to wait a long time for food and drinks. Service staff all over the place and clueless. My meal was served to wrong table and had to ask 3 times before we managed to finally get a drink.

Best ceviche I've had in Berlin. Great food with generous portions. Friendly staff that perfectly handles German and Spanish. For the price and the quality of the meals, I would say Sabor Latino is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. Sure, there are fancier ones, but this one has always left me very satisfied.

The waiter was not having a day... I hope he improves his customer service, regardless of where it is. Respect and education ahead.

Super delicious and the friendliest staff :) Went for dinner and ordered: Pisco sour, chicha, Inka Cola, Ceviche, Causa and Tagliatelle huancaina with Steak. Even managed to takeaway another causa and Aji de Gallina. Everything was super tasty, and made me happy about eating peruvian food again. Totally recommended!

Authentische peruanische Küche, hervorragend abgeschmeckt, übersichtliches Angebot, dafür jedes Gericht ein Gedicht. Wer seinen Südamerika- Urlaub verlängern möchte, ist hier kulinarisch gut aufgehoben.

I had been planning to come here for a long time when I still lived in Wilmersdorf. Last weekend I finally managed to do it after putting it off for several years. I must say: Very tasty Peruvian food! The ceviche was very fresh and refreshing and I can also highly recommend the lomo saltado. If you would like to try out a cuisine other than Italian and Asian or if you have just returned from the Andes and want to have a piece of the memory of the local cuisine melt in your mouth, Sabor Latino is highly recommended.

Enjoyed the fish ceviche, but some more lime juice would have been nice. The lamb with coriander sauce was alright, altougy salty. The fried cassava with huancaina sauce was well made. The chicha morada was enjoyable, if not a bit weak. Service was good.

the food was very delicious, i will definetly have the empanadas again next time i come. it really is a nice atmosphere and the waiters are kind, but it takes a while for them to notice you when you need something because it gets quite busy. i definetly recommend it here!!

It is the second time we were at Sabor Latino and we were impressed again by the excellent gastronomic quality.

Quality has deteriorated a lot. Apparently you are resting on your name and your former good reputation? The Sabor Latino used to be absolutely top, food, service, quality, prices were all great, there was nothing to complain about. But this time after being there for a long time, I wonder whether the kitchen even knows what they are preparing. The Tallarin Saltado was too fatty, the beef was dry and tough and the Alfajores biscuits were so dry that they stuck to your mouth to deliver such poor quality for 50% of the dishes ordered and at a price of 60 euros is already very harsh. It's a shame it was the last time. The Paracas is far better and offers a fair price-performance ratio.

The food was incredible. 😋 I had three dishes from their menu, all of which were excellent. The pork belly stood out as particularly exceptional, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. Desserts and drinks were also good. They offer both indoor and outdoor dining options, so be sure to specify your preference when making a reservation.

Food very good, cozy and very good accommodating service

Nice restaurant with delicious food and friendly workers. What wasn't so nice was that we had only reserved a table for a limited time without being told this when making the reservation. Nevertheless, we'd love to come back, maybe for as long as we want.

I am in Berlin very often, both privately and professionally, and when I have time I let myself wander around the city. This time it was the final stop of a bus and my hunger that made me spontaneously stop here. I've never had Peruvian food before and that was also a trigger. The food was damn tasty, you can really tell that this is still a family business with heart and soul... This location is now at the top of my internal🔝 10 for Berlin. Addendum, today (04-2024) I deliberately came here to eat again and the food was great again. But the attention and service of the “new staff” leaves a lot to be desired, unfortunately.

Anyone who likes Peruvian food will be really happy here. The ceviche in its different facets is a dream. A great taste experience. But the other dishes on the menu are also impressive. There are also delicious wines on the menu. We had a great evening. The live music was great but since the restaurant is already quite loud we didn't need it. All in all, great food and a great team, but the noise level can sometimes be a little higher.

We ordered take away. Packaging very good, was packed in two bags because we had hot and cold food. In our opinion, price performance is very good for authentic food. Unfortunately the salsa criolla wasn't included with my chicharrón cerdo q_q To recommend.

We had a wonderful night and were very lucky to have made reservations, as this restaurant filled very quickly on a friday evening. The meals are a bit pricey but definitely worth every cent. For beginners and for connoisseurs of the peruvian cuisine I recommend the starter plate (around 25€), which comes with almost all the classics and of course the peruvian national heritage: ceviche!
