We were here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. We were served courteously by sometimes two people. The 3 of us ordered 5 different plates and were pleasantly full. The ceviche dishes came first and then the other non-fish dishes with fresh place settings. We kept checking how far we were and the table was kept tidy. The menu sequence was well timed. There was nothing to complain about in terms of taste, but the price was still a bit too high for the quantity. We missed bread to neutralize the acidity of the ceviche. Nevertheless, clear recommendation.

The food is excellent. An unforgettable blend of flavors and pleasure. When I return to Berlin, I will definitely come back.

Fantastic food! As a group, we ordered the entire menu and were thrilled with every dish. We were particularly impressed by the various ceviches. The wine selection was also excellent; for the cocktails we opted for the classic Pisco Sour. Overall, we had a great evening at Chicha and the service was also very friendly and accommodating. A small negative point, unfortunately: the ambience. Basically we liked the furnishings but it lacked a cozy atmosphere and more comfortable seating options. Unfortunately, the restaurant doesn't invite you to linger. But we would still come back for the service and the food. :)

I really love this restaurant. The food is delicious and worth the price. Big highlights are the ceviche and pork belly, but don’t miss on the yuca fries and the delicious pisco sours! The staff is really friendly as well. I can only recommend.

Ate at the restaurant for the first time and the ceviche dishes exceeded my expectations. I lived in South America for a long time and ceviche was my favorite dish. I was looking for a restaurant in Berlin for a long time. to be able to enjoy the Peruvian national dish ceviche again but it was always a disappointment. Luckily I discovered Chicha. Here you can have the most authentic Peruvian culinary experiences and enjoy the best fusion CEViCHE in town. In my opinion, the restaurant with top-class cuisine deserves a Michelin star. I can highly recommend both ceviche dishes, Ceviche Casero and Ceviche Tempeh, a delight for the eyes and the palate! Bavo por el cocinero!

The portions are too small for the prices: each dish is between 20/25 euros and they recommend to order 2 per person! It’s also too much for the type of restaurant: it’s not chic… It’s just a normal restaurant. I gave it 3 stars because it was not amazing but also, it was not a disaster. I don’t know… I felt very disappointed with this place. I won’t go back.

The food there is absolutely amazing. Protion sizes allow to try two or three dishes per person, depending on the appetite, but it is a bit pricey for a regular visit.

The food was pretty good, but it really isn't at the top of Peruvian food I've tried around the world. For having a Michelin star, I had high hopes and was left feeling a bit disappointed. We sat outside and there was nothing about the space that made it feel very unique or comfortable. Not the restaurants fault that people were coming by asking for money or trying to sell us newspapers, but it definitely didn't feel like a Michelin restaurant. We tried everything on the menu. I liked the ceviche and the pork, but overall it just didn't stand out.

Absolutely great experience. I have rated restaurants 5 stars for less. Every dish was a discovery and a success. The service was very welcoming and friendly. Freat vibes. Don't miss the desert.

Chicha is a gem among Berlin's culinary scene, offering an authentic taste of Peru. My visit was marked by both impressive flavors and outstanding service. While the menu is somewhat limited, the quality of the dishes more than makes up for it. The ceviche dishes were a highlight, bursting with fresh and vibrant flavors that transported me straight to the coast of Peru. The pork belly was equally delightful, cooked to perfection and rich in taste. However, the quinoa dish fell a bit short of expectations and could use some improvement. What truly set the experience apart was the exceptional service provided by Connor and the rest of the staff. Their attentiveness and warmth made us feel welcome and well-cared for throughout our meal. Chicha’s patio is the perfect spot to unwind with a well-crafted cocktail, accompanied by a great playlist that enhances the relaxing ambiance. Overall, despite a few minor drawbacks, Chicha delivers a fantastic dining experience that I would gladly recommend to others.

Very tasty food, great taste, perfectly cooked, great presentation, the recommendation for 2 courses makes sense to fill you up. Ultimately, the price was around €60 per person including drinks (2 beers, 2 picos) and the quality was absolutely reasonable.

Rejected! The restaurant is in various prestigious culinary guides but unfortunately it doesn't deserve it! The food is affordable but nothing amazing, the service is of a medium level restaurant and the waiter/manager after welcoming us with the dogs, at the end of the evening, after we had paid, told us that they were bothering us and kicked us out go.he could have been nicer but he wasn't. I wouldn't go back again.

It was a culinary experience that I didn't want to miss! The food is of high quality and tastes very good. It's not an everyday taste for me as a native whose palate is trained to eggs with mustard sauce. The service is courteous. The rooms are nice, but nothing special.

We tried everything on the food menu except the desert and the pork belly. The cocktails (mamacita, and pisco slap) were nice. The service was friendly but we were missing frequency. Despite the restaurant not being full it was hard to get the attention of the service. The manioc sticks and chili sauce were - for my taste - a bit bland/too salty; the chili sauce underwhelming. The ceviche with fish and the version with tempeh were great - lots of different tastes came rushing in. This was followed by the grilled fish and the portobello mushroom. Nice but nothing special, salt was a bit dominant and the mushroom was a bit one dimensional. Overall, interesting food but not exceptional. The plating is pleasing to the eye.

Upscale quality and beautiful presentation. Pisco sour was tasty and strong, in the good way! Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine.

Very good restaurant with good cooks. The Peruvian beer is very delicious to drink, they serve it cold and it is perfect to accompany lunch or dinner. For dessert they have some pisca cocktails that you have to try.

Inattentive to unfriendly staff - menu not recommended in terms of price, food started well but also deteriorated considerably, the first four courses were very similar - overall there are definitely many better options in Berlin for the price.

Fantastic food, but a small menu, but still something for everyone...unless you don't eat fish... But even more recommendable are the different piscos and great cocktails they make with them. And don't miss the vegan chocolate mousse!!! Thanks for the nice service!

Très bonne adresse pour déguster des ceviche. Présentation soignée des plats. Portions à partager dans une ambiance soignée (musique de fond qui permet tout de même de discuter tranquillement). Nous avons aussi bu un très bin vin naturel italien (après un excellent pisco sour) et le dessert est excellent.

The price range here in Google is not correct. Every dish is around 17€, but they are small portions so one meal would at least be 4 plates per person. With these prices I was expecting much more. The food was good, but the service was poor and the place is also not so comfortable, like any other regular bar in the city. Fine dining should be about the whole experience, not just the food. Another Kreuzberg hip place that doesn’t meet my expectations by far.

It was a big disappointment. The portions are not even comparable to a starter and the taste totally average. You pay for fine dining but the place is just another simple place in Kreuzberg.

I definitely don't want to join in with some reviewers' predictions of doom. Saltado Pescado was excellent, the corn dish was incredibly creative, with pork belly you have to be in the mood for fat but that's always the case. The service was polite, courteous and quick.

The ceviche was delicious and so were the yuka fries. The portion of ceviche was only small. The dessert was ok. The dessert was different and unfortunately not to my taste. The service was really good.

I have to start this post by saying that I am a Peruvian national. After seeing the pictures online I was expecting a high quality experience - but as the stars I am putting to them you can already pre assume what was the experience. First of all I understand they have an abusive systematic modus operandi of taking all margins from the little to nothing amount of food and drinks they offer. Chicha is a sacred drink from the Inca empire and what they are doing with it is a sacrilegious act. They give you 10ml of chicha drink and 40 kilograms of ice. The glass looks full until you remove the ice. I complained and they did not know what to say - they are abusing from foreigners by doing this practice. People don’t know how chicha - the drink of the ploretariat being served as an aristocratic drink. They might be telling people that is how it is served but not- and the prices are extremely high for what you get. The quality is not as great as they claim to be. In the end it is not chicha with ice but ice with a bit of chicha. You should be ashamed for this nasty practice. I am really disappointed as a Peruvian, taking advantage of poor Germans and foreigners coming to the restaurant… not fair… not fair… life is like a boomerang 🪃 you throw it, then it will come back to you stronger.

Absolute balls-up. I came here two years ago and had a very nice evening, the service was superb. Last night though was a complete calamity. First off after we had sat down, we hadn't received any service so we were trying to catch someone's eye. My friend waved at the cocktail waiter behind the bar and said "hi" hoping that he would come and take our drinks order and he responded with "did you just oi me?" I found that quite an offensive way of communicating with customers and not a good way to start the meal. My friend has a gluten allergy and she made it very clear. The waiter told us what she can and can't eat. One of the dishes could be made gluten-free he said, so we asked for them to do that. After the food was served and halfway through eating the waiter came over and told us that the dish that was made gluten-free actually wasn't gluten-free. They had made a normal one with gluten by mistake. Then he went on to say "oh and by the way the chicken isn't gluten-free either". She was halfway through eating it. To top it all off - I have a nut allergy and despite the menu having no mention of the chicken containing nuts, whilst I was eating it I began to have a reaction. When I questioned the waiter he said "yes, it's cooked in peanut oil" Three huge errors that left two people ill. I can't remember a restaurants messing up this badly in all my years of dining out. The staff comped our table so we didn't have to pay, but that doesn't make up for a night ruined. And on the way out the waiter said "it's a two-way street, he should have told us about his nut allergy" which is completely not the case - All restaurants in the EU are legally obliged to show all allergens on the menu and have been since 2016. It's crazy that I don't work in the hospitality industry and know this, but Chicha do not.

Die Speisekarte bestand nur aus wenigen Gerichten, weshalb wir nicht lange für die Speisenauswahl benötigen. Allerdings wunderten wir uns über den ersten Satz auf der Speiserkarte, in dem jedem Gast die Bestellung von 2 Gerichten pro Person empfohlen wurde. Das haben wir nicht getan, da der Preis nicht gerade gering war und wir erst schauen wollten, wie groß die Portionen sind. Als die Speisen serviert wurden, waren wir zuerst entzückt über die schön angerichteten Teller, die von einem hohen Nivea zeugten. Doch dieser erste sehr positive Eindruck hielt nicht lange an, nachdem wir merkten, wie klein die Gerichte waren. Obwohl ich eine zierliche Person bin und große Portionen nicht alleine aufessen kann, war ich nach meiner Hauptspeise noch ein wenig hungrig. Geschmacklich fanden wir alle 5 bestellten Gerichte interessant, jedoch nicht überragend.

The food was not bad, but neither the food or the place justify the high prices (or small portions). The pork belly was not tender. The ceviche was fine but nothing extraordinary.

The place is pleasant in terms of atmosphere. The staff is incredibly sympathetic and caring. The drink selection is a bit limited. The food is great! All the ceviches are delicious. The banana pork belly is really an orgasm. The caramelisation around the meat, the softness and juiciness of the meat. Seriously, it's so delicious that it will blow your mind. If you are in Berlin, you should definitely try this place.

Not what it used to be, especially the veggie options taste rather plain these days. Service is still ok but the atmosphere and taste do not match the prices at all. It might be „so Berlin“ but the smelly bathrooms and super loud music only add to the experience of a cheap restaurant which it certainly is not. Also not appreciate receiving a bill without asking for it after just 1h and just having replied once while finishing the main dishes that we do not want anything else right now. No way it would be positively mentioned by Michelin nowadays, feels like a fast food restaurant almost.

We love Peruvian cuisine and had to give this place a try. Where some dishes might be Peruvian inspired, I would not call this cuisine Peruvian. The menu was way too small. The place does not match the pricing of the food and the luxurious branding. It looks like a punk rock bar and not a Latin fine dining place. There is also no Latin music playing at all.

We had a very nice food experience in Chicha tonight. The staff was very nice and the drinks came fast. The Pisco Sour was delicious and the bartender did an excellent job. Shortly after the Ceviche was served and was inhaled by us right away. The different textures and the rich and sour tasting dish was perfectly accented by the fish. After that we had the 2 main dishes and both were delicious. The fried fish was extremely tasty and a good portion. The pork belly was great as well! We finished our meal with a tasty chocolate mousse with lucuma. The ambiente was cosy but could use more coat hangers for the winter

Das Chicha ist ein Besuch wert! Vom Service über den Sous Chef bis zum Chef alle geben sich, mit Liebe zum Detail, größte Mühe bei der Arbeit. Wer bereit ist Qualität über Quantität zu setzen, ist hier definitiv richtig.

Das Essen ist ok – es kommt in äußerst kleinen Portionen zu horrenden Preisen. Dazu die typisch süffisanten Kreuzköllner Kellnerinnen und Kellner, die einem das Gefühl geben nicht willkommen zu sein. Die Weinkarte war gut.

Das Essen ist weiterhin super,der Service toll... aber mir ein wenig zu laut. Macht nix, die ersten beiden Punkte machen das wett.

Wow, ich war richtig beeindruckt (und das passiert ziemlich selten). Wirklich sehr empfehlenswert! Einziger kleiner Downer: den Pisco Sour gibts nicht in vegan und insgesamt waren die Drinks nicht so überragend wie das Essen. Was man wissen sollte: Wenn es voll ist wird es sehr laut und die Sitzmöbel sind eher für die junge Generation. Finde diese ungemütlichen Hocker schrecklich und sie laden auch nicht dazu ein, zu Verweilen. Aber das ist ja auch nicht das Konzept…

Péssimo atendimento. Ambiente barulhento. Confusão. Comida boa mas certamente não vale o valor e a confusão que é esse restaurante.

Locale carino e accogliente, servizio perfetto, cibo ottimo. Cucina peruviana rivisitata che offre un mix di sapori inaspettati e deliziosi. Consiglio assolutamente il ceviche ed il risotto con polpo, ma anche gli altri piatti sono buonissimi. Buona scelta di vini. Prezzi in linea con la qualità del cibo.

Small portions and bit on the expensive side. The pork belly was super small and I left hungry even after ordering another dish with it . The taste on the other hand is amazing !!

Obviously it really depends what you are comparing with. So let's focus on the Peruvian establishments only. This is my second time here and I took the same dishes (of which there is a limited and constant quantity on the menu). probably in 2020-2021 this was really a big discovery for the previously poor and sexy city and I can understand the Michelin recommendation. but in 2023, when the city is not poor anymore and full of interesting authentic establishments opened by Peruvians themselves. it no longer seems special to me. which probably explains the subsided fame and the lack of new awards. Looks like it's time to change the menu!

I went to Chicha for a second time after a year. Food was once again delicious - my favourites were the fish ceviche and the watermelon ceviche. I was a tiny bit disappointed with the tamal de mais which was a bit blend in my opinion. Octopus was good, although not the best I've had, but the risotto which it is paired with was delicious. I would skip the dessert and order one of their great cocktails instead. Price is a bit high in my opinion, but it's still a pleasure to come for a treat. Staff was a bit busy, but very professional and friendly.

Insgesamt Essen in Ordnung. Die Weine, die wir hatten, waren gut und fair kalkuliert. Der Service sehr entspannt, für einige sicher zu entspannt. Würden noch einmal hingehen, die Preise sollten aber nicht weiter steigen.

Ce lo avevano consigliato ma in realtà non siamo rimasti soddisfatti ad eccezione del personale molto attento e gentile. Abbiamo ordinato tapioca fritta, polpo con riso e fagioli (il nome era sicuramente più accurato), un piatto di carne di maiale una birra piccola e un bicchiere della bevanda peruviana analcolica, un dessert assolutamente mediocre. Nessuno di questi piatti era memorabile e le porzioni davvero ridicole a prezzi esagerati, il polpo era solo un tentacolo e la carne un rettangolo 5 x2! Tutto molto ben presentato.... Abbiamo pagato €76. Troppo direi!

Tasty but extremely small portions for the price. For some (unknown) reason the restaurant is in the Michelin guide which sets a higher expectations. But none of them where met as they served warm wine and didn’t have even a proper wine cooler.

Ein bornierter Hipster-Laden. Extrem eng. Unaufmerksames Personal. Man darf max. 2 Stunden sitzen bleiben, auch wenn man a) ordentlich Geld liegen lässt und b) das Essen erst nach 50 Minuten kommt. Da gibt es in Berlin reichlich Konkurrenz mit dieser Art Speisen und netten KellnerInnen.

Chicha is hands down the best Peruvian restaurant in Berlin! The ambiance is incredible, and the owner is one of the most pleasant people to talk to. We had a delightful culinary experience trying their mouthwatering dishes. The Ceviche was bursting with flavors, and the Pulpo Perucho was a perfect blend of octopus and chorizo. Not to forget the delectable Yuquitas Fritas served with the flavorful Pachamanca sauce. The prices are reasonable, and it's definitely a must-visit spot in Berlin! Nice Peruvian dishes with attention to detail. Reasonably priced wine menu. Authentic service. All good so far…. But the size of the dishes is rather the one of an appetizer or starter. Means you need to order at least 2 portions of Yucitas Fritas to fill your belly a little bit! Kreuzberg style interior with cool electro sound in the background completes the experience together with the cigarette smoke coming into the restaurant from the outside tables…

Very tasty, but you need to be willing to spend a little more. 45€ (incl. 1 alcoholic drink) still left me hungry. To get a perspective: the plates pictured below are ~25€/ each.

Como peruana, debo decir que la comida y la atención del personal estuvieron buenas. Sin embargo no le doy 5 estrellas por la relación calidad/cantidad- precio. Un plato de fondo está muy caro para lo que te sirven. Se tomaron lo de Gourmet demasiado serio.

I went there a month ago but wanted to write a review anyway. They mixed up their order with another table. But they handled it very professionally. The staff is very friendly. Also I did not want to eat the octopus because restaurants can never get it right. My girlfriend ordered it for me by accident. It turned out to be perfectly cooked. The whole dining experience was a gastronomic expedition. I highly recommend this place! Oh and the bathroom is cool because you can leave a message with crayons! Great place!

Super expensive for the portion and taste. Place a bit dirty, small and very loud. + i don’t know if it was a scam or a mistake but they tried to charge twice the bill.

To tell the truth, we were more than a little disappointed. And here come our reasons for it: as visitors to Chicha for more than 6 years, we have to state in general - it seems to be very overrated by now! Having lived in Peru for a number of years, we claim to have some expertise in Peruvian cuisine. The appeal of Peruvian cuisine is essentially - at least in our perception - rural, rustic cooking with "honest" portions and flavors. When we discovered the restaurant, we were initially pleasantly surprised by precisely these qualities. Over the years - and especially during our visit yesterday - we found ourselves in what we can only describe as a "touristy" state: Ceviche for 19 euros (would be ok but..), hidden under two tiny lettuce leaves, less than a tablespoon of fish drowned in a rocoto-based sauce. The camote/sweet potatoes listed on the menu were not to be found at all. When we kindly pointed out the entree size of the maincourse and the missing camote to the waitress at checkout, the response was just a more or less uninvolved "yes...everything has gone up in price" and "yes, it could be that the potatoes were forgotten". No compensation of any kind, that was all. For us as visitors to this restaurant, it was certainly also the last time we were there. Restaurants of that kind show the general status of quality and personal involvement where Berlin arrives nowadays -sad but true.

Unbelievable food, one of the very best in Berlin! Simple menu done to perfection, the tasting menu is even more special. Very friendly staff, and a great wine list. Would highly recommend! 💯

pork belly with banana purée is really good, in general lovely place for dinner to try something new. I’m not really fascinated by food serving but let’s say it was casual. friendly reminder: always ask for ice with your pisco !

One of my favorite places if you are looking for something special. Though a bit costly the dishes are delicious and especially the fresh fish starter is a recommendation. Drinks are also really good and staff is friendly.

The food was really nice, well balanced flavors. The ceviche was amazing.

This restaurant is SO GOOD. Every plate tastes as beautiful as it looks and the menu changes often. The ceviche is always incredible and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere- the walls in the bathroom are made of chalkboard and they have subway tiled walls that they write on with dry erase markers. Don't miss out on the pisco sours and leave enough room for dessert 😋 Edit: have to admit that about a year ago, i thought it was better. The menu has changed a bit

We had a lovely dinner here, very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. We ordered the recommended amount of dishes for 2 people- 1 cold 3 warm, which was exactly right as the portions are not too small and not too big. The ceviche was very fresh although a bit spicy for my taste. I would definitely recommend!
