Rüyam Gemüse Kebab in Berlin

My stomach was fluttering with delight! Gentlemen, if you want a combination of flavor and euphoria, this is the place for you!!!!

Very tasty doner kebab, unfortunately, when it's busy you have to wait a long time for your food. The music is also sometimes very loud. Overall, though, it's always delicious.

The crew is super friendly. The doner kebab is amazing! A real mouth-pleaser, especially with the three-sauce combo! But: It's different from others! (Special vegetables) We waited at least 20 minutes for the dürüm. PS: The sauce distribution could be a bit better. The bottom third was as dry as an old lady, the Sahara. Still, worth the experience!

After seeing the number of reviews, everyone's recommendations, and seeing the sticker from a renowned Polish kebab "expert," I thought it would be the best of them all. The line was enormous, with a 30-minute wait to order. The wait for the kebab itself was shorter; the place was so packed that we had to take it to go. The kebab itself is simply good, but nothing extraordinary. The first random kebab we tried had a much better quality of ingredients. Maybe I just got lucky or it was because of the high traffic, but there are generally better options in Berlin, cheaper, with shorter lines.

Great place, really like how busy it is and with music on it gives great vibes. We had kebab wrap and it was overwhelming with taste and amount of meat (in a good way of course), however super delicious. Definietely place to eat in whenever in Berlin.

The doner kebab was really good. The bread was fresh and crispy, the meat juicy, and the coriander perfectly seasoned. The place has its own charming atmosphere with lots of stickers, but the music was a bit too loud. The tables could have been cleaner—there was an empty ayran glass sitting on our table before we sat down. Fun fact: When you leave a tip, everyone thanks you loudly in unison. It was a nice gesture, but I was a little overwhelmed and decided against it.

I’ve generally enjoyed the Rüyam dürüm here and used to look forward to stopping by, but the quality has slipped recently. Over the past few months, I’ve visited three times, and each time something basic went wrong. Staff have repeatedly misheard my order (confusing “dürüm” with “döner”), and the last few dürüms I received had little to no sauce at all and barely any effort to wrap the stuff together- eventually the filling just falls! It feels like there’s less attention to detail than before, which really affects the experience. I hope they get things back on track, because the food used to be reliably good.

What was once, in my opinion, the second-best döner in Berlin, now rarely lives up to its former glory. Over the past 12 years, I've certainly eaten well over 100 döner and dürüm kebabs at Rüyam, and there were times when it truly was the best döner in Berlin for me, or at least on par with what I (and a majority of others) consider the best. I'd like to explain my star rating. Since the middle of this year, due to the constantly changing staff, Rüyam no longer feels like a family-run, authentic place, but rather like a chain restaurant. Previously, the chorus of "thank you" seemed genuinely heartfelt; now I feel sorry for the employees, who are clearly forced to participate. With so many "new" people involved, the taste of the döner is inconsistent, despite potentially identical ingredients and recipes. After my friends and I repeatedly received subpar doner kebabs by Rüyam standards, I took a long break. Then I finally ate one again and got a "better" one, but it's still a shadow of what it was a year ago. It seems to make a difference who makes it, how and when the meat is sliced, how much seasoning is used, and how much of each ingredient. The sauces are often poorly distributed this year, the bread falls apart in 4 out of 10 cases, and you end up with a huge mess while eating. I wish it would taste like it used to, even if that means longer wait times. In the last few months, unlike the previous 12 years, there was often no queue, and I could order immediately. I've never experienced that in 11 years, so it seems several people are in the same boat. It's a shame, and I'll take another break, but maybe it will go back to the way it used to, and then I'll be a regular customer. There is definitely someone there who knows what they're doing and how it needs to be made and taste like to achieve this great overall rating, and I hope they can fix it and make it what it once was.

The doner kebab is always super delicious

Well it's no wonder that this place has so many great reviews. The quality, the quantity and the taste of the food are top level. Not very cheap though. Sometimes the queue can be very long (Saturday night or Sunday afternoon) and I feel the locals are just obsessed with the place. I mean it's great but not something you wouldn't find anywhere else. Anyway, to the team behind the bar: dankeschön! for your service.

We took our children to Rüyam Gemüse Kebab in Berlin-Schöneberg and had a really lovely time. The team is very customer-oriented and exceptionally friendly. You feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The food was delicious, especially the doner kebab—fresh and well-seasoned. We also loved the atmosphere: a cozy ambiance, good music, and a pleasant feeling. A particular highlight is the "CREATIVE wall" where guests can write or stick things. Our children found that especially exciting. We also really appreciated the charming, almost choral thank you after we left a tip. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. We'll definitely be back!

The doner kebab is very tasty and the portion is reasonable for the price. They don't have a children's doner on the menu, but they still managed to make everything my son wanted, so in the end, everyone was happy. We were just passing through and were looking for a doner kebab near the highway, but we were pleasantly surprised. The shop's rating is justified. It could be a bit cleaner.

We traveled from the Ruhr area and had heard a lot about Rüyam Gemüse Kebap. Many people who say they've eaten the best döner in [location omitted] have no idea what a culinary experience this döner in Berlin is. While you should expect a long wait, the friendly staff made it bearable with falafel snacks and free tea. Highly recommended!

You usually have to plan on waiting a bit. Today we were visiting Berlin again, and of course, a doner kebab at Rüyam was a must 😉. It was relatively empty today, so we were able to order right away and had our food after a five-minute wait—so you can see how fast it can be 😜. The doner kebab is simply amazing...everything tastes fresh and well-balanced. You have to get the baguette; it goes perfectly. We highly recommend the doner kebab, and we'll definitely be having another Rüyam doner kebab when we visit Berlin again. Keep up the good work 👍👍👌
