Ruffs Burger & BBQ Regensburg in Regensburg

Food good, prices and service ok too. Only the waiting time was a bit annoying. Deliveries are constantly being made to pick-up and delivery services and the people in the restaurant are waiting with (almost) empty glasses for the burgers they have ordered. The restaurant was about 30% full and our food only arrived after about 45 minutes. When there were fewer people picking up food, the kitchen was also able to keep up with the orders better. If you were told about the longer waiting time when ordering, that would be progress. We'll definitely try it again, as things can go wrong...and we'll definitely allow a little more time.

The bottom line is disappointing when it comes to the quality and size of the burgers.

There were two of us yesterday and it was really just bad! It took about 15 minutes before we could order drinks. With the foresight, we ordered drinks and food together. Drinking came after 10 minutes, eating after 45 minutes. So we sat around hungry for about 60 minutes from the time we came in until we ate. The food was rather opposite, the burger was cold, the fries were hot! More exciting than good, especially when you're hungry! This was the last time I was there because we had a similar experience before and we wanted to give you another chance. The waiter wasn't interested in what there was to complain about either, because he didn't even ask if everything was OK. Out of activism, I simply told him that myself. As mentioned before, he just wasn't interested! The only thing that came quickly was the bill because the service seemed to be working somewhat again! Thank you for this repeated poor performance, so the selection is somewhat limited!

Unfortunately the service was disappointing. We had to wait 35 minutes to even order, even though it wasn't particularly busy. The drinks also took a long time to arrive and the food took over an hour to arrive. The staff seemed disorganized and overwhelmed. It's a shame, because the burgers were really tasty - the service simply should have been better.

There was wilted lettuce on the burger. The Garlic fries were swimming in oil. The atmosphere is anything but cozy... The service was non-existent! We waited 30 minutes for tickets to be brought to us. It took forever for the drinks to arrive. We received the food 75 minutes after ordering! You had to get your own salt and you also had to organize your own cutlery from the dinner table. Keller was at the table once after the food came. The drink that was ordered was also forgotten. After another 30 minutes in front of our empty plates and glasses, we ordered the additional drink at the counter and the bill. The change would have been kept by the waiter without comment...

Ladies and Gentlemen the parking options were very limited. The new food that my colleague and I tried was surprisingly not tasty, as was the cheese sauce with the fries. Therefore, I recommend you not to do experiments and order normal things.

I visit this restaurant regularly and can highly recommend the truffled beef burger. The combination of juicy beef, aromatic truffle mayo and melted cheddar cheese is simply delicious. The Belgian double fried fries are the perfect accompaniment. The non-alcoholic mojito with ginger ale is also a refreshing choice and completes the experience.

We were in the mood for burgers and chose this place because of the many good reviews. So first of all, the food was good, no WOW effect but good! The staff was friendly, but we should talk about time management... We got the cards pretty quickly but then waited almost 15 minutes to place the order... By the time we had the drinks we had already been in the store for 3/4 hours! Sry but drinks have to be drunk! When it comes to eating, you have to say that the burgers taste good but are small and the fries are well fried. When it comes to the sauces, I think it's a shame that some of them have to be paid extra. The bottom line is that it's ok if you have a lot of time and not much hunger.

Recommendation!!! If you want really good burgers, this is the place for you! Burger to fill you up and the taste is a 10/10!

Unfortunately it wasn't beautifully presented. The burgers simply slapped together, salad with cheroots on top. Better served at McDonalds.

Ordered food from Lieferando, then it was 15-20 minutes after the stated delivery time, called then said there were problems in the kitchen, they were sorry but the food would be out for delivery in 5-10 minutes. 10 minutes later the delivery was canceled and no one is answering the phone.

I had the giggly smashed burger, which was very good. Combined with fries, dips, and a beer, this was almost a perfect burger dinner. Definitely recommended.

The burgers are delicious, the bun is especially good here! However, it has become significantly more expensive. Now, among other things, every sauce has to be paid for separately.

Wow, nice restaurant with a cozy beer garden in Regensburg. You can spend cozy hours there with delicious burgers, crispy fries and cool drinks. Happy to come back!

About a year ago we were very enthusiastic about the restaurant and the burgers. Today we thought we would pick up some food here again. Unfortunately it wasn't wearable today. The fries were ok, but you had to look for the “Bluecheesecream” on the “Bluecheesecream Burger” to find the “Bluecheesecream”. You definitely can't taste them. Lettuce leaf is definitely from last week, it looks like the roll collapsed on the 3 minute drive home and the most disgusting part, the bacon, was never fried but simply put on it raw. see pictures. Very disappointing, as I find €10.50 for the burger alone to be expensive to pick up. When I wanted to call to complain, no one answered the phone. Wasted money, one can only hope that it was an exception but I had to withdraw my 5* rating from earlier.

Update: Burger was good, unfortunately they still can't do it spicy ;-) __________ Bread is very dry, unfortunately. The spicy burger is 0.0 spicy. Nice loading.

Shortly before 5 p.m. I spontaneously went in with a friend. We were greeted warmly and were able to find a place. The service was friendly, not intrusive but present when we needed something. We ordered burgers, fries and the house soda. The burger was smaller than expected, but quite enough to fill you up. The fries were good. They could have just been a little hotter. The raspberry lemonade was top. I would go back at any time

Very friendly staff, the food was super tasty. We recommend the BBQ sauce, which you can choose to accompany the fries. The ambience is really nice. We would be happy to come back here. Next time we'll only have better weather so we can use the beautiful beer garden.

We ordered the salad with chicken strips twice to pick up (as quickly as possible). After we got there after 10 minutes, our delivery was already ready. This is a very big plus point. However, the salad wasn't really good, few ingredients and the chicken strips tasted very cheap. Looking at the other reviews, we should have opted for the burgers. However, salad is not recommended. Above all, for the price (€15 per salad) you could have gotten something better somewhere else (unfortunately it was a holiday and the selection of open restaurants was limited).

I eat at Ruffs regularly, and MOST of the time they are both reliable and tasty. But sometimes you get weird service like recooked burgers and last week the guy in the kitchen in NB told me they had closed down the kitchen at ~ 9:30 already even though the hours say open till 10. I also got a request from Google to remove an old posting because it was negative and I don't really appreciate the censorship.

EDIT 2024: Since I was asked to provide proof that I was a guest, I am editing the review. Because actually this burger store was different. And just because the owners are too stupid to open a new venue, I'm now being accused of lying. So I'm updating the review now. Old review: Sometimes hot, sometimes hot. The first visit was good. Delicious burgers, nice service and above all attentive service. The second visit was a real tragedy. Waited over 15 minutes to even get the card. And that even though the employee came by my corner several times and I should have noticed her. The friendliness seemed fake but at least they acted as if... The burger was good. But I think if you take bison you can't go wrong. :D The beer garden seems somehow uncomfortable and I don't think the interior design is very successful.

Completely content! The food was delicious, the atmosphere in the beer garden was excellent in the bright sunshine and the staff were very nice and attentive. I would like to come back soon

Ruffs Burger is definitely my new favorite place for burgers! The quality of the food is excellent and the atmosphere is simply inviting. Every bite is a taste experience that I enjoy again and again.

Today we spontaneously went for a burger. The service was very good despite being understaffed. Burgers were great. We would come back.

We ordered for 6 people. For almost 100€. Everyone had a burger and two guys had fries. Almost every burger was underseasoned. The fries were not well done. But at least the food was warm.

We ordered 6 of them for just under €100. Everyone only had one burger and a total of 2 fries. For the price the burger was really very disappointing. The veggie burgers were boring, barely topped and not worth €13. Normal fries were not completely cooked. Sweet potatoes were good for that. Beef was poor quality and unseasoned. The sauces (e.g. blue cheese) were very disappointing and tasted like nothing. Generally price-performance very poor. I expect burgers like this at Burger King.

We ordered the Ruffs burger and pulled pork fries, with the homemade lime juice. Very good quality burger, and the pulled pork is very flavorful.

I don't know if the kitchen staff was understaffed, but we had to wait 1.5 hours for the food when the restaurant was half full. My burger was now rather modest compared to other burger restaurants. The meat patty was very small and only filled half of the bun. Some of the lettuce on the burger also had brown to black edges. When I go to a restaurant, I expect fresh salad. My companion also forgot an ingredient on the burger. This was subsequently added after a complaint. The homemade lemonade was good and the staff was friendly too. Maybe we had a bad day, but overall I wasn't impressed and won't be visiting Ruffs Burgers again.

I had lunch in this place, being a little bit in a hurry. It is a restaurant specializing in burgers, as its name indicates. If your expectations are reasonable within the limits of this type of food, if you don't have a lot of time and you are not very picky, then you will appreciate the experience. I didn't like the lemonade because it's made with concentrated juice, it's not directly from the squeezed lemon. There is a slightly disturbing smell inside. Instead, the burger was tasty, and the lady serving was kind.

My husband and I had dinner. It was absolutely full and anyone who didn't have a reservation had no chance of getting in. We waited 20 minutes to be served before they took our order. But they were very nice and apologized. Excellent burgers, homemade buns, properly processed meat, crispy bacon, simply excellent. One of the best burgers we've ever eaten.

Very nice service. Burgers were cooked to perfection (medium is also on the menu). The selection of side dishes is not overloaded, as you would expect from a burger restaurant, and the selection of sauces is great. We were there at lunchtime with children and were really positively surprised by how child-friendly it was: an extra children's menu that they could color out, pens were available, children's menus were tailored exactly to their taste and the right size. Tables and distance to the neighboring table are large enough.

We had reserved a table there as a small group to eat there before a concert. Unfortunately, after 1.5 hours our food was still not in sight. It was busy but the other tables hadn't had their food yet. There were too many takeaway orders that were processed beforehand. The waitresses were very stressed but still very friendly. We then had to give up and just paid for our drinks so we could get to the concert on time. Very unfortunate. 3 stars because I thought the burgers were very good on my last visit.

I have been a guest here for many years when I am in Regensburg. Very tasty burgers - the patty is really great and fried to perfection - and (sweet potato) fries, very friendly and fast service that is also attentive to those with allergies. I'm already looking forward to the next visit.

I ordered to be picked up and even though the pick up time was very far in the future, I still had to sit in the restaurant for almost an hour and wait for my order to be ready. I ate it recently and it wasn't really tasty either :/ and a small portion

Very positive impression the first time! Friendly young staff, the order was there in a flash, and it tasted very good (about the portion size: at least there was nothing left 🔍🤤.) The venerable Karthäuserhof has already played an outstanding role (in the truest sense) in the city's older and more recent history played - the current restaurant fits wonderfully into the ambience of the old walls.

Good burgers at a reasonable price. I recommend making a reservation! There are hardly any parking spaces in the immediate vicinity. Parking spaces are at the UNIVERSITY.

Wir waren schon öfter da und haben auch einiges ausprobiert. Die Burger sind immer ein Gedicht. Das Fleisch auf den Punkt, der Bacon richtig knusprig, rauchig, Salat, etc immer frisch. Ich wollte gestern, da ich keine Pommes mag, Süßkartoffel Pommes bestellen, was ich aber leider vergessen hab zu erwähnen. Die Überraschung war groß, denn die Philly Fries waren so lecker, dass ich alles gegessen hab. Preislich ist es für diese Qualität völlig in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne jeder Zeit wieder, vor allem, weil wir auch immer sehr nett und freundlich bedient werden . Parken kann man meistens nicht vor der Türe, aber paar Meter weiter gibt es einen großen Parkplatz.

Am 6.12. einen Tisch für 7 Personen am 25.12. Online reserviert. Dann am 23.12. eine Stornierung erhalten, die nach dem Wortlaut von mir aufgegeben worden sei. Habe angerufen und mir wurde kurz mitgeteilt, man sei ja über Weihnachten sowieso nicht da - die Zentrale habe einen Fehler gemacht. Und jetzt soll ich also zwei Tage vor dem 1. Weihnachtsfeiertag irgendwo einen Tisch finden??? Meinen Geburtstag feier ich dann wieder bei Kullmans...das hat immer gepasst.

Waren erst einmal dort, hatten keine Burger sondern eine BBQ-Platte für ca. 20€. Reicht weit für ein Pärchen, vllt sogar für zwei Männer. War geschmacklich hervorragend und wirkte qualitativ hochwertig. Kommen auf jeden Fall nochmal zum Burgeressen irgendwann 😊 EDIT 12.05.23: Haben jetzt die Burger probiert, Burgerbewertung allein 7.5/10. Damit sogar künftig unsere Nr. 1 Wahl in Rgb was Burger betrifft. Leider gibt es in Regensburg keine 9er oder 10er Burger mehr. Burgerheart, Hans im Glück, etc. kann man da getrost liegen lassen. Bei Ruff könnten die Pommes noch etwas aufregender sein. Vielleicht selbst gemachte Kartoffelspalten, bisschen mehr Pepp in den Toppings.. Alles in allem aber sehr gut

Naja. Brötchen war matschig. Geschmack war ok. Eigene Limo war gut, der Strohhalm war jedoch mangelhaft. Nach kurzer Zeit bereits kaputt. Wenn man nichts Anderes als Option hat, kann man hingehen. Empfehlen kann ich es aber nicht.

Leckere Burger, wir hatten u.a. den Avocado Burger, Cheeseburger oder den Big Mission. War alles sehr gut, die Größe der normalen Burger ist durchschnittlich, nicht übermäßig groß, so dass eine zusätzliche Beilage zum Burger schon Sinn macht, um wirklich satt zu werden. Pommes waren auch sehr gut und auch dass man 2 Soßen zur freien Wahl hat. Service war sehr freundlich und nett, aber nicht all zu oft präsent. Also das wäre noch ausbaufähig. Gut ist auch, dass es glutenfreie Buns gibt, das gibt es nicht überall und ist v.a. für Zöliakie Betroffene sehr gut.

Schöne Location im Regensburger Süden, ganz in der Nähe der Uni. Gute Burger und der Service war auch gut.... was will man mehr!

Wir hatten einen super schönen Samstagabend bei Euch! Service ist absolut top! Super geschult und sehr zuvorkommend! Danke Euch!

Das Essen war sehr gut. Es gab natürlich Burger. Die Limonade dazu war auch top. Wir waren mit über 10 Leuten dort. Daher hat es mit dem Essen servieren bisschen gedauert.

Sehr schönes Ambiente und bemühte Bedienungen. Machten den Eindruck noch neu zu sein und wirkten deshalb ein wenig überfordert. Die Getränke und das Essen haben trotz weniger Gäste lange gedauert. Ändert nichts daran, dass der Service zufriedenstellend war. Fleisch im Burger war etwas zu roh aber auch noch akzeptabel. Hochstühle für Kinder und Wickelmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Alles in allem empfehlenswert.

Super Ambiente. Haben nichts gegen Hunde und das Essen war auch Mega. Sehr lieben Dank dem Kellner für den super Service!

Leckere und preiswerte Burger, allerdings sollte man unbedingt seine Bestellung und Burger überprüfen weil oft Zutaten fehlen oder einfach falsch sind.
