The burger was great, but unfortunately the fries were not very crispy and very soggy.

My first visit to Ruff's in Nuremberg in 2026 was just as disappointing as my last one a few years ago. Back then, the pulled pork burger had lumpy meat. This time, the so-called bun on the smashed burger was far too thin. The patty broke through the bottom bun the moment I picked it up, forcing me to eat the burger with a knife and fork, and making dipping into the exorbitantly priced cheese sauce impossible. The waiter asked if I was satisfied with my meal, but he wasn't the least bit interested in my comment about the far too thin bun. My next visit to Ruff's in Nuremberg will be a few years away.

We had a table reserved for 11:30 am on Sunday. Unfortunately, we stood in front of a locked door for 20 minutes, along with several other people. A couple who were also waiting then called and were told that "due to technical reasons" they wouldn't open until 12 pm. There was absolutely no communication despite our reservation. No thanks – we'd rather eat somewhere else.

The three of us ordered burgers from you. Unfortunately, the meat didn't look good, and shortly after eating, all three of us felt unwell with stomach pains.

A run-of-the-mill burger, nothing special. We also ordered fries with raclette cheese, and what was least remarkable was precisely the most important thing: the cheese. But in the end, the waiter kept pressuring us for a tip—an unbearable habit.

Absolutely delicious! It was our first time at this burger restaurant, and we were completely satisfied. The wait was pleasantly short. The homemade lemonade deserves special mention – wonderfully refreshing, fresh, and truly delicious. The fries were perfectly crispy and stayed that way even after a few minutes. The burger itself was also fantastic. Everything was prepared very fresh. We will definitely be back. The only downside is the slightly higher price. Also, the cheese dip is definitely too much for one person. Nevertheless, we highly recommend it!

Black List We ate there last Sunday – and never again. You get better service at McDonald's. We didn't want mayo, but it was in the burger anyway. Even the burger didn't look fresh. Everything fell apart; the burger didn't hold together at all. There were no napkins at the table. We've both had swollen gums ever since eating there.

The burgers tasted good, they were quite small and could have had more meat in them, but they went well with the fries.

December 26, 2025 / 4:30-5:30 PM: I encountered the friendliest, most courteous, and fastest staff in the restaurant. The burger meat was absolutely top-notch (I requested well-done meat when ordering, and received it). The toppings were also top-notch, super fresh (1+), and the drinks/glasses were spotless (1+).

Almost €20 for a cheeseburger is outrageous. You'll soon be closing down like everyone else with prices like that. Update: I've added a photo showing the price of a burger to order from you.

The staff are very friendly. The food tastes great and the drinks are excellent. There were six of us, no reservation was needed, and there were no long waits. We ordered the Ruff's BBQ platter and the various burgers on offer, along with cocktails and sodas for those who didn't drink alcohol.

Simply awful. The burger was unsalted, the meat completely tasteless, and even the supposedly spicy sauce had absolutely no heat whatsoever – no flavor whatsoever. The fries were undercooked, not crispy, and some were even cold. The coleslaw tasted like it came straight from a can; even KFC's is better. The ingredients, overall, were a complete disaster. If you can't even get the basics right, you can't expect much from the rest. BurgerHeart, Hans im Glück, and Peter Pane are noticeably better in every aspect than this restaurant. Even McDonald's offers a better overall experience than what was served here. The only positive thing about this visit was actually the Coke.

Awesome food, friendly personnel. The location accepts credit 💳 cards. The menu card marks the vegan food with an icon, but better discuss with the waiter the dietary options. The location is well suited with tourist attractions. If you're coming by car parking can be challenging. We parked in a nearby parking garage and walked a bit.

We've never actually been disappointed by Ruff's before. But yesterday we ordered food that took almost two hours to arrive. The fries and burgers were completely cold, and the fries were just mealy, soggy, and tasted like they were from two days ago. The mayo we ordered was never delivered. The burgers were just carelessly thrown together and completely fell apart; the meat was dry, and there was hardly any sauce. It was a complete disaster. That was the last time we'll order from there. Reply to your reply: You do know that you can track when the courier leaves your premises, right? We were able to see exactly how long the food was being prepared at your place. When the courier picked it up, he was there within 10 minutes, so he's definitely not to blame for the food being so bad.

We were pleasantly surprised. Eating here was a spontaneous decision. From the outside, it looked completely unassuming. The service was friendly and not as stressed as you'd find elsewhere. Our food was fresh, delicious, and piping hot. (JUST THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!). The cappuccino at the end was also really GOOD! The prices were reasonable too. We'll definitely be back!

Best burger restaurant in Nuremberg

What a pity about the story and the idea... I ate here for the first time last week with high expectations. I made the reservation because the online pictures, the menu, and the look of the place seemed very appealing. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted by a listless young man who showed us to our table. After about five minutes, another young man approached us and said, "Do you know what you want now?" Note: One ingredient for the burger I wanted to order was out of stock. When our food arrived at the table, we noticed: We hadn't received any cutlery or napkins. We only received them upon request. The sour cream sauce we ordered tasted like sour cream mixed with garlic powder (or random, strange-tasting spices)—that's it. That's what sour cream sauce tastes like. The honey mustard sauce I ordered actually tasted like pure mustard, which, in my opinion, is completely out of character with what honey mustard is supposed to be. The burgers were okay overall, although I would have liked to try them with all the ingredients, as the chef certainly put some thought into their preparation. In conclusion, the staff simply weren't in the mood that evening, and the overall experience left a lot to be desired. I honestly expected more. It's a shame.

Luckily, we managed to get a seat on Friday evening without a reservation. The burger was, as always at Ruff's, very good, and the staff was very friendly.

Such a disgrace! I ordered two burgers and one fries from Ruffs Burger. Both burgers were dry, the chicken was partially raw, and the burger bun was very dry. The fries I bought for €7.90 were cold and tasted like they were two days old. This portion size for €7.90 is disrespectful.

For me, Ruff's Burger is the best franchise burger joint in Nuremberg. Large portions, fresh ingredients, and super-friendly service. The chicken burger is crispy and juicy, the beef burger smoky and flavorful. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. A bit pricey, and the lemonade rather bland, but overall, a definite recommendation!

After visiting the restaurant three times now, a clear pattern has emerged: The beef burgers are consistently delicious and impressive. Unfortunately, this isn't the case with the special chicken burgers. Each time, they were disappointing, especially the disproportion between a large, oversized bun and a much too small chicken patty. This made the burger unbalanced. The service is neutral—you get what you order, but it lacks the hospitality or attention you'd expect. Considering the overall package, especially the disappointing special burgers and the mediocre service, I find the prices too high.

Worst burger restaurant in all of Nuremberg. Upon entering, you were immediately informed that the place is obviously not being run properly. On the menu displayed on the notice board, a comma was immediately missing, which turned €9.40 into €940, which is simply embarrassing. This impression was reinforced by the subsequent service. We were first served by a young woman who unfortunately used rather trashy slang. After a good 20 minutes of nothing, a young man came over and asked if everything was okay. I explained to him that we were slowly but surely getting quite hungry. He then brought out cutlery, and he dropped some of it (which isn't a problem, of course; we're all only human), but then he said to me, "Please pick this up for me." Apart from the fact that this is second nature to me, I wouldn't want to be told by a waitress to pick up the cutlery from the floor for him because he doesn't feel like bending over... The food arrived relatively quickly, but was only average. (Small portions) Since the prices are on the same level as its counterparts at Five Guys, the recommendation here is of course clear.

I was just about to go there for lunch with my family. The lunch menu consisted of a burger, fries, and a soda. So I politely asked if I could have water instead of a soda, and she just rudely said no. When I pointed out to her that I'm diabetic and therefore don't consume sugary drinks, she just shrugged her shoulders arrogantly. Thanks for nothing. Nuremberg can happily do without your store.

Hello burger lovers, I'll get straight to the point. First, I was told I could sit wherever I wanted. I thought, okay, I'll wait for my wife and see what happens. Then the lady suddenly came over and told me I shouldn't sit in front of the bar. Out of curiosity, I asked why, because the place was completely empty. Then she said, because it's easier to see things up front. Hmm, okay. Yes, the baby back ribs were delicious, but they were also a baby portion with a mountain of lettuce on top.

The food was good, the service was excellent, and the fries were absolutely delicious. We sat outside on the patio. The atmosphere isn't very inviting, but the food makes up for it.

The burgers and fries are delicious and very filling. Of course, it's not a diet meal, but it's just what you need after a nice, tiring day at the museum.

5 euros for a tiny portion of fries; you expect something special. What came next was particularly bad: over-salted standard fries, honey mustard dip without honey, and mayo that could have been milk in consistency. Never again!

I visited Ruff's Burger & BBQ on July 20, 2025, with other people in the outside area. I ordered an apple spritzer to drink and the BBQ burger (well-done) with extra Belgian fries and ketchup/mayonnaise. The service, like the food, was fine. The orders went smoothly, and both the food and drinks arrived relatively quickly. However, I have to say that I didn't really feel noticed by the waitress. After asking if I enjoyed my meal, a critical comment was completely ignored. Instead, the question "Can I clear your plates?" came without eye contact. Nevertheless, I felt that as a customer, I felt appropriately treated. As mentioned, the food was also fine overall. The apple spritzer was beautifully presented and refreshing. The fries were also crispy and well-salted, and the ketchup and mayo were delicious. Unfortunately, the burger was served in a wrapper and not even stabilized with a skewer. The bread was soggy, and the patty tasted very dry and rancid, even for well-done. The rest of the burger, such as the bacon, was fine. However, the value for money isn't quite right for me. I think €12.50 for this burger (without fries) is excessive. The burger tasted okay, but wasn't much better than a McDonald's burger served on the side. The fries, medium-sized at best, came with it for €4.90. Although they tasted good, I find the whole thing a bit overpriced. The apple spritzer also seems a bit pricey to me at €4.50, but that's probably normal by today's standards. The ambiance is good. You can't complain. The restaurant is located in the heart of Nuremberg's beautiful old town. Overall, the restaurant is still okay.

Very tasty burgers and fries, even gluten-free! The gluten-free fries were made in a special fries maker.

We ordered through Lieferando. The burger was completely raw inside, as you can see in the pictures. Thus, it was inedible. We called the restaurant and were referred to Lieferando's support team. Three days later, we received an email stating that we would be refunded for the burger. It's unbelievable that they don't check the food before it's sent out. We'll never order from there again!
