They weren’t extremely friendly. We were a group of six and they didn’t let us put two tables next to each other even though both tables were 1,5 meters apart. The food to so long. We waited for more than 30 minutes even though the restaurant it wasn’t at all full. BUT the food was excellent!!!

Top-notch. Friendly service, a lovely ambiance, and superbly delicious food and drinks. They also offer dishes that are a little different from the run-of-the-mill. My chicken schnitzel in nut breading was simply fantastic with the accompanying topping. I followed it with a vanilla espresso, followed by the Flensburg rum cream. Everything was first-class 👍🏻 Easily deserved 5 stars.

To finish, we shared the churros, which were truly fantastic. Highly recommended if you like good taste and a cozy atmosphere!

Not really my thing: Due to her disability, my friend needed a chair or bench outside, as the inside was fully booked long in advance. That was a major drama...

If waiting 45 minutes plus for your food is something you love, then this place is for you. To be fair, the waiters said the food would take 45 minutes to prepare due to organizational challenges. But it actually took an hour. The food was nothing spectacular and the atmosphere was okay.

A place to return to. All the dishes were well presented and tasty. The service was very friendly. The place was nice, warm, and clean.

We arrived without a reservation, but were still greeted very warmly, with a brief warning that the wait might be a bit long. However, it was absolutely reasonable for the freshly prepared food. The menu is very extensive and the prices are absolutely great. A cozy courtyard, friendly service, and the most delicious food of our entire vacation!

There were several free tables outside the restaurant (at least three tables for four and several tables for two), so there was plenty of space. Our request to sit together at one table and add two additional chairs was declined, even though there were enough chairs available. We were told in no uncertain terms that we, as a group of six, were not allowed to eat together in the restaurant. Instead, we were simply offered the option of splitting up between two tables and receiving our food at different times. When we questioned this, the waitress reacted extremely unfriendly. When we pointed out that such a procedure was neither customer-friendly nor economical, she simply looked dismissive, shrugged her shoulders, and showed no interest. There was no explanation or consideration, nothing. In the end, she simply said, "Then you can leave." This is no way to treat guests. Anyone wanting to dine with more than four people is apparently not welcome at the Roter Hof, even if there's enough space. For a restaurant that supposedly prides itself on hospitality, this behavior is absolutely unacceptable. We've been there several times in smaller groups and had good experiences. Today's experience was a complete letdown. That's it for us in the future!

We arrived for dinner around 6:00 PM and were immediately asked to leave because we couldn't get a table for six people. It wasn't busy, with plenty of free tables inside and outside...they could have pushed two chairs in for me. But we were very rudely asked to leave. The staff was very unfriendly. They obviously don't want to make any money, let alone want to work there.

Breakfast before the "Eat the World" team day in Flense! Rich and delicious! Of course, a "beach camp" is also part of the experience! Always happy to come back!

The food is delicious, and I think the prices are very reasonable! However, preparing such good, fresh food takes some time, so that's something to keep in mind. Towards the end, we had to wait quite a while for the bill. So, it's not a big loss of stars. But it was probably just busy. And unfortunately, there are no children's dishes (small portions). But otherwise, the service was excellent! All in all, it was great. Definitely recommend it!

The cozy, backyard-like charm of the courtyard, partly rustic, partly romantic, is a popular retreat away from the pedestrian zone. Even in good weather, the terrace invites you to linger. Very friendly, attentive, and dedicated staff, often with a loving willingness to explain the dishes. Service is professional and hearty, without being intrusive. Large, varied menu with German classics such as currywurst, fried fish, pan-fried fish, schnitzel, and burger variations, as well as many vegetarian and vegan options.

I googled 'Best schnitzel in Flensburg', and this one came in on one, and was close by where I was planning to go, and I must say, it didn't let me down! I had the Schnitzel with Bratkartoffeln, and everything was spot on. Almost like I was back in Vienna. My wife had the same, but with fries, and my kid had an amazing Currywurst. Definitely a good idea to dine here!

The restaurant makes a good impression from the outside. The menu is sufficient. My menu “Schnitzel with fried potatoes” was unfortunately disappointing. The asking price of €20 seems a bit excessive to me. The meat was 3mm thick and was difficult to see in the breading. For visitors who are exploring Flensburg and would like to get to know the ambience of this restaurant, I recommend it. Order a drink and dine somewhere else. 😉

Das Restaurant macht einen guten Eindruck. Die Speisekarte ist ausreichend. Allerdings waren meine Ansprüche an das von mir bestellte Essen "Schnitzel mit Bratkartoffeln" wohl etwas zu hoch. Das In der Panade versteckte Fleisch hatte eine dicke von ca. 3mm. Für Bratkartoffeln mit einem Hauch von Fleisch war der Preis von 20€ schon beeindruckend. Für Besucher der Stadt Flensburg ist der Flensburg Hof schon sehenswert wenn man sich bei seiner Bestellung auf ein Getränk beschränkt. Gut Speisen kann man ja auch an einem anderen Ort.

Vi fik frokost bestående af en Hamburger med pommes, og en Panini med kylling og mango. Det var ikke decideret dårligt, men ud fra de to retter vil vi kalde stedet et cafeteria. Det var billigt.

Atmosphere and service good as always. The taste of the food was ok, but the breaded pork schnitzel was pounded so thin that it mostly consisted of breading. The following unpleasant night I had stomach pain, heartburn and acid reflux. I suspect this has to do with the oil or frying fat used.

Really sweet staff and delicious food. We were looking for a restaurant in the courtyard next door, but chose to stay for a sandwich and curry wurst.

Quite good pork schnitzel, could have used some sauce with the onion mushrooms. Was a little dry. Don't understand why braised potatoes have to cost 2.5 euros more than fries, that's a bit excessive. But all in all a nice experience.

Vi fik en frokost hos Roter Hof, hvor vi valgte henholdsvis en gullaschsuppe og en klassisk burger med sød kartoffel-pommes frites. Burgeren smagte godt. Det var en spændende og anderledes bolle, som gav lidt udfordringer for den sløve kniv, der var til rådighed. Men en udmærket burger. De tilhørende pommes frites af sød kartoffel var fantastiske. Sprøde og med en uovertruffen smag. Vi blev enige om at det var de bedste pommes frites af sød kartoffel, som vi har smagt. Gullasch suppen var til gengæld en tynd fornøjelse. Hyggelige omgivelser med en god atmosfære. Et godt sted til et hurtigt måltid eller en kaffepause.

Stopped for a currywurst with the Family. Food was very nice. However. It took about 1 hour to serve 3 wursts with fries. During lunch, with children, without informing of this insane time to serve - not ok. The food was first server when sdkef for. Sad that a Nice place like this has such horrific service... Update: Ok they are a bit slow. However, excellent food (curry wurst) and great location so all in all worth it! Stopping by everytime I travel through Flensburg.

We really loved this cafe/restaurant. We thought it was just a cafe, but when we saw the menu we were proven wrong. This time it was just a cocoa and a delicious dessert, but we will definitely come back for dinner sometime. And with Böhmi, the super nice service person, you felt like you were in very good hands. What's a bit of a shame is that you can only get a table for up to 10 people, as we are sometimes a larger group.

Located in the popular Rote Straße area, in the charming backyard. The furnishings are somewhat sober, reminiscent of a canteen with a slightly industrial look. The service is very courteous and friendly. Also very fast. The food is delicious and the price-performance ratio is definitely good. The selection of dishes is absolutely sufficient with different variants.

From the outside, the place looks a bit boring and maybe even a bit dingy. However, it became something of a different story when we entered the restaurant - it was an old building with an industrial look that had its charm. Food and service were really good. Proper German food, simple, delicious, reasonable portions and not too greasy into oil, so we avoided heartburn. One could easily come here again when visiting Flensburg.

Good food. Nice, clean surroundings. Very helpful staff. Homemade fish n' chips. 2 large pieces of cod in homemade dough. Homemade currywurst for my wife. Chips Washington warm and crispy, but more rustic chips would have suited the dishes. Our son got a plain burger with chips and he was happy for it.

Today we followed a Flensburger's tip and went to eat at the Roter Hof. The service was very nice and friendly, the food came quickly and tasted very good. A really nice restaurant with lots of places inside and outside in the historic courtyard. We will definitely come back on our next vacation in Flensburg.

The red courtyard is a nice place to stop. You can sit comfortably in the courtyard and the interior is very attractively designed. However, my meal...pasta with pecorino sauce...was a disappointment. The sauce was simply a béchamel mash without any cheese taste and the dubious experience was topped by a raspberry sauce spread over the entire dish. The currywurst was delicious. We ordered with a side salad. A note that you also have to order the fries separately would have been nice. When ordered again, the fries came very quickly. Conclusion. Currywurst goes well. Update: we were there again for breakfast. That was really good.
