Restaurant Poseidon in Flensburg

Lured by a few good reviews, we tried the buffet at Poseidon. We found the food on offer to be rather average. However, the value for money wasn't right. The staff, however, was friendly and prompt.

It was simply fantastic! I don't know when I last ate so well. Not only was the food incredibly good, but the staff was also super friendly and attentive. The small seating areas complete the experience. We drove home full, relaxed, and super satisfied.

We went to the buffet at Poseidon on Sunday with seven people. We all enjoyed the food. The buffet is extensive. Beef fillet in sauce, gyros with or without Metaxa sauce, calamari, Greek pasta, chicken in a delicious sauce, fries, rice, cheese, garlic potatoes, liver, bifteki, and much more. Well-seasoned. The mini-dishes were also delicious, prepared to bite-sized pieces. There was sometimes a slight delay in refilling, but in my opinion, absolutely acceptable. Service was very friendly and attentive. As a farewell, all guests in the restaurant were given a takeaway bowl for the buffet!! Free! Great! I've never experienced anything like it before! Everyone was allowed to take what they wanted. So the next day, I had a delicious Greek platter with everything else from the buffet, for free. Top! One star deducted for the bottle of water (€8)

A cool mix of classic and modern decor. Highly recommended, especially for the buffet, with excellent value for money. That day I chose a dish from the menu, the fish platter. You really can't complain. The service was also excellent, and I'd recommend it again and again. You can sit comfortably, even with larger groups.

A very nice restaurant with good food – and really super friendly and attentive people who work there. We were there with a total of nine people, including several people with disabilities. Every request was patiently attended to, and everyone was extremely friendly. The food is also highly recommended; everything is fresh and the portions are more than adequate. Highly recommended!

We visited some good restaurants on our vacation trip. But we were really blown away here: great ambience, friendly staff and, most importantly, delicious food! The coleslaw and feta are amazing and our main courses (gyros, plaice and Greek pasta) were fantastic! Big recommendation!

Went to the buffet meal with 4 people and we were really excited. Everything was very freshly prepared, good quality meat, well seasoned and deliciously presented. The service was also excellent. We kept asking whether we wanted to reorder and whether everything was OK. The buffet is really recommended. So you have the opportunity to get a little bit of a lot and there is something for everyone. Great concept

This is the second time we have had a delicious meal here as a family. Due to the weather we sat inside. All four of us had fish and chips (made from cod) with homemade tartar sauce and all four of us found it very delicious. It wasn't too crowded since we were there during the week. The staff was very friendly and spoke three languages. The food was freshly prepared and of course took a while. For Danish standards you also have a good price-performance ratio here. We can We would recommend this restaurant and would eat here again on our next vacation to Denmark.

Poseidon has been our favorite restaurant for many years. Sedat and his team are always very friendly and accommodating! Depending on whether we chose à la carte, the buffet on the weekend, or the newly offered table buffet for two, it was always super tasty and of very good quality!!!

Two of us went there for dinner in January, relatively spontaneously. We called at lunchtime and got a table in the evening. The food was very good – the only downside was the absolutely dry Djuvec rice – you can see it in the photos. It's a real shame – I always look forward to that the most. Otherwise, the service and food were excellent. We'd love to come back :)

We can only recommend the Poseidon again and again. The buffet on the weekends in particular is a real treat. Very good selection, high quality and very stylishly presented. Vegetarians also get their money's worth here. Price-performance appropriate. We would love to come again 😍

You can't see from the outside what a beautiful restaurant is hidden there! It is cozy and the staff is very attentive and friendly. We ate the buffet for €27.90 and it was very tasty. Fresh, something for every taste. It was continually replenished so we could try everything. Clearly a recommendation 👌

We were there on Monday and unfortunately the food was from the day before. The Giros was dry, cold and black. Likewise the spit. It's a shame that Monday is used for leftover food.

Absolute disgrace, it was hardly or not at all refilled the entire evening and the buffet was almost empty throughout... I asked several times, but still no change. And when you paid you were taken for a fool... It's a shame what this once really great restaurant with great service has become. My conclusion, never again! Simply a tragedy. Edit: That's not right. The guests at the next table completely confirmed me and my opinion but probably didn't dare to tell the service. However, the lady laughed and told me that she had been waiting for pineapple for an hour... Neither the liver nor the meatballs were refilled in about 1 1/2 hours. The rice noodles only after repeated requests. If you noticed it several times during the evening, why didn't you respond in any way to my repeated criticism? Just because not everyone is as honest as me doesn't mean that everyone was super happy. The fact is that many dishes were simply not refilled and my criticism was not taken into account in any way.

Buffet costs around 30€ but unfortunately it's very poor, there's only a few things that taste good. About 2 hours after opening the buffet was no longer refilled and looked torn apart, everything was relatively cold. The selection is also smaller than I thought, not so suitable for vegetarians. The service was also rather poor, you didn't feel completely comfortable and more like you weren't welcome. Very unfortunate.

This fine Greek restaurant can only be recommended to everyone, whether a la carte or the super buffet. We drive to this restaurant from Kiel because the quality is simply amazing. The products are fresh and very high quality. Sauces all homemade and much more. Definite tip!!

Seems grossly overrated to me. The "trademark" is (I think) the buffet - I can't say anything about that, I don't like eating Greek that way. Not even in Greece! It's never really hot, it just sits around for a long time, etc. I have had some experiences here À la carte (and away from home). One two good ones, unfortunately a lot more not quite as good. As with many other restaurants - even non-Greek ones - you can't really rely on the cuisine. We had a very good omelet here - and one that simply shouldn't have left the kitchen. Pretty good gyros - and burnt, dry ones. Speaking of which: Souflaki - as so often and in so many taverns - also clearly on the dry side. Highlight: Good, large pita to take away - unusually "filled" with iceberg lettuce. But I don't think it's a bad idea; it doesn't bother you, isn't unhealthy, helps (a little...) with satiety and doesn't spoil the experience. Lowlight: My worst Metaxa sauce experience in Flensburg. Many are not great; This one is the weakest one I know.

We really enjoy eating buffet there. It's a big selection and delicious too. The rice could be a little “juicier” for my taste. The bread was often very dry, as if it had been there for several hours. But otherwise everything is delicious. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We like going there

Went for the first time, at the buffet, the food was okay so far, the dessert was very poor, for the price, unfortunately it's not really cheap. And you should reserve in advance, luckily we got a place for 2 people, great service

Everything was very tasty: grilled Dimi, lamb with rice noodles and, first of all, the roasted garlic bread with garlic and avocado dip But unfortunately too much with the starter (we should have taken bread together first) The meat was juicy and seasoned very differently - a fantastically successful summary of the dishes. This time we ate a buffet: there was a lot of delicious choice in all courses. If something became empty, it was only for a very short time, everything was always and attractively refilled! New: zucchini in cinnamon - super delicious! The conversation atmosphere was very pleasant, despite there being a few guests, we could understand each other very well.

Large buffet where a lot was made of the facility Poseidon is definitely worth a visit and parking is right outside the door.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed Yesterday we went there with the family for the buffet. Starting with the fact that we called in advance and asked whether dogs were allowed, which was clearly answered in the affirmative. When we arrived we were told that dogs are not allowed, after we said we had called and asked, we were told: yes, they are not allowed in the buffet room They then tried to get another table, which was good, but very impractical for a large family Well, after the drinks were ordered we went to the buffet The selection is ok, but the buffet was largely empty by 6 p.m. Neither gyros fries nor bifteki were there, most things were empty. Well, that can happen The food itself was ok, but not great either On the second attempt, after you thought: something must have been filled up, there was even less there, so you had to wait at the table with empty plates. During our stay we were not asked if we could have another drink And the used plates piled up, in the end there were 8 dirty plates and glasses on our table, which stopped us from going for another round because it just wasn't comfortable anymore. We were all very disappointed and will not visit again A pity …

We recommend. The staff always attentive and friendly. The buffet was very tasty. The only thing that bothered me was that the gyros were a bit dry and the yogurt was too warm. But that's my taste, everyone should try it. All I can say is that it was the best Greek restaurant in years.

The selection is great, it tastes so delicious, the food is constantly refilled, the seating is comfortable and the service is the friendliest I have ever experienced in a restaurant. I love the Poseidon. It is the best Greek restaurant in Flensburg and the surrounding area. I have never been disappointed. The food is top, the service is top. At the weekend the buffet is great. I'm already looking forward to the next time.

We were there for a buffet meal (19.50 euros per person) and drank a non-alcoholic Hefeweizen and 0.4 liters of still water. For 45 euros we had a great evening with delicious food, super friendly service, the odd ouzo ;-) There was everything the Greek menu had to offer and we were full and happy as always
