A few months ago the quality-price ratio was better. They're still good pizzas with the original dough, but the price is now excessive.

A little disappointed. The pizzas are okay, but nothing special, especially considering the prices. My tuna pizza was quite bland, lacking any real flavor, and €22 seems really expensive for that quality. A shame, I expected better.

The pizza was quite tasty. Unfortunately, one of the eight pizzas had a completely black base and was inedible, and another pizza had major problems (hence the 3 stars). We had ordered a vegan pizza, but it came with fish on top. We pointed this out to the waitress, which was no problem, and she brought us a new one. Shortly after, she came with a "new" pizza, but we're 99% sure it was the exact same pizza and the fish had simply been removed by hand. There were still tiny bits of fish here and there. Additionally, the waitress was so bold and verbally claimed, "Sorry, the order was mixed up with another table, this is a new pizza," which was a complete lie. So we complained again, and the waitress denied everything (the thing you see on the pizza is herbs and not fish, but of course 😂) and this time brought us a completely new pizza. They "gave the old pizza to another table." We had already poked around in the old pizza with our forks; you can't just serve it to someone else! Very unhygienic! Bottom line: The fake pizza didn't bother us, but the cover-up and the lies certainly did. When we confronted the waitress at the end, there wasn't even an apology. We wouldn't eat here again.

It's a real shame what this pizzeria has become... Unprofessional, unfriendly, and one of the worst service experiences I've seen in a long time! As a guest, I can't know how things are going; the pizzeria's management needs to communicate this. They should treat guests differently, make them feel comfortable, and not chase them away!!! Absolutely disgusting! Never again

Bad service. Unfriendly staff. We hadn't even finished our meals and a member of staff tried to clear the table.

Unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. When I sat down, I wasn't told that my table was only available for an hour. After a short while, I was suddenly asked to vacate my seat, and my things were even simply put away. In my opinion, this is not how guests should be treated. Transparent communication and respectful interaction are urgently needed here.

The staff were very unfriendly. In the restaurant industry, you expect more customer service and respect. We were indirectly kicked out after what felt like an hour, instead of simply telling us that the next reservation was in an hour and we didn't have much time. Incidentally, I also had the receipt thrown in my face.

Delicious Italian Neapolitan pizza; I've been back several times. The place is truly authentic, so it's well-attended, so it's worth making a reservation, as it's not large. As a Tipp, the more toppings on a pizza, the more mushy it is in the center, making it difficult to eat even with a fork.

We were there for a birthday party. We ordered seven pizzas for nine people. The pizza wasn't what we'd hoped for. Unfortunately, it was completely unsuitable for sharing, as it fell apart. The prices were also very high. It's okay to do it once, but you don't need to do it again.

I arrived at the restaurant around 5:30 p.m. and ordered immediately. The guests at the neighboring table arrived at the same time. Their pizza was served after about 10 minutes, while mine took about 40 minutes to arrive – by which time my neighbors had already finished eating. The restaurant was almost empty during this time, and even new guests after me received their orders within less than 10 minutes. Why my pizza took so much longer is completely beyond me – especially since it wasn't a complicated order. Unfortunately, the pizza was also a disappointment in terms of taste: The base had many burnt spots that tasted bitter, making the pizza barely edible for me. Overall, given the high prices charged here, it was a very disappointing experience.

I had lunch at Rosso Vivo in Mannheim and really enjoyed the experience. The pizza I ordered was very good. Perfectly baked with a nice balance of flavors. The waiter was friendly and attentive, which added to the relaxed vibe. The interior is on the simple side, but that doesn’t take away from the overall atmosphere. What really stands out is the big variety of pizzas, offering plenty of choice, all at fair prices.

Quality pizza, my wife is Neapolitan and she doesn't compromise. Excellent selection and top of the line everything, easy-to-digest dough, and high-end ingredients make for an excellent pizza, and can we mention the olive oil? Exceptional!

The dough is excellent, but the quality of the toppings is disgraceful. The pizzas are very sparsely topped, as if they'd only serve 3-4 slices per pizza. I bought a bottle of wine for €60, an older vintage, and they didn't even let me try it beforehand. And unfortunately, the service was perfunctory and not very friendly. Never again, not recommended.

I ordered pizzas for pickup there twice and both times had to wait about 40 minutes in addition to the agreed-upon time. Unfriendly service, constantly fobbed me off with "just a moment." This was the last time I went there.

Rosso Vivo serves some of the best Neapolitan pizza in Mannheim. Authentic sourdough crust, high-quality Italian ingredients, and a proper wood-fired oven make all the difference. The place is small and can get crowded, so reservations are a good idea. It’s a bit pricey, but if you’re after real Napoli-style pizza, it’s worth it.

Abbiamo fatto un percorso di assaggio e tutte le pizze provate erano TOP. Cortese anche il cameriere e il pizzaiolo rigorosamente napoletano. Straconsigliato.

A top-notch pizzeria, with excellent, carefully selected ingredients, including the flours. Giuseppe, the chef and working-class man, was immediately available and extremely knowledgeable about his recommendations. The pizza was much better than many of the top Neapolitan pizzerias; the pizza chef, of course, was originally from Naples, but now lives in Germany. The Genoese puzza is a must-try.

Excellent pizza, it's practically like being in Naples. Excellent and fragrant, well-leavened and doesn't go back during digestion.

It's a shame. We've always enjoyed our visit. After the appetizer, the water we ordered didn't arrive, and the pizza took a long time to arrive. After asking, we were told the pizza had just finished (it was already at the counter) and was now being prepared. The pizza arrived lukewarm. We immediately complained. Initially, they said that couldn't be right. They would be happy to reheat the pizza. We ate it, but it wasn't good. Things can always go wrong, but my expectation is that they'll admit to the mistake and not serve the pizza at all. A restaurant should have that kind of decency. They didn't offer to remake the pizza, but charged the full price for the cold pizza. When we expressed our dissatisfaction with the cold pizza again when paying, they dismissed it even further—the pizza couldn't have been cold at all because it had come straight from the oven. It's a shame, a really nice restaurant with good ingredients. But they lack honesty towards the customer.

So let me start like this. We wanted to eat pizza last week evening and wanted to try Rosso Vivo. No sooner said than done. My wife wanted to sit outside. So we sat in front of Rosso Vivo...or so we thought! We ordered food and wanted a glass of wine. The waitress told us, even though wine, beer, etc. were listed on the menu, that they were waiting for their license. Strange! More likely, the restaurant had its license revoked and the guests were being deliberately lied to! So, no wine. When the food arrived, the drama began. The food (an antipasti plate and a pizza) was abysmal. The cheapest ingredients and almost inedible. We paid and swore we'd never come back. Absolute rip-off! Mannheim doesn't need a place like this! When the bill came, we realized. The neighboring "smart restaurant" had placed its seating directly in front of Rosso Vivo's winter garden extension to create the impression that these seats belonged to Rosso Vivo. Outrageous! Yesterday we were finally in the right seats in the right restaurant. They only serve pizzas, and they were incredibly delicious. All top-quality. A delight for the palate! We'll be back! So, everyone, be warned. Don't fall into the same trap as we did, accidentally sitting at a table that belongs to the rip-off restaurant instead of the original.

I think Rosso Vivo is the best for Neapolitan Pizza in Mannheim because I have tried many other places. After i had been to this place- it became my regular. I have been to this place more than 20 times within few months. All my friends loved the pizza here. I think this place needs a big board in front because this place can easily be confused with zittos next to it.

A great little restaurant in a fairly central location. Reserving a table online was super easy, so we were able to get a seat right away. We were just at MySpa and stayed at the Leonardo Hotel, and this restaurant is right in between. The pizzas were truly delicious, and you could definitely taste the fresh ingredients. There's also a more affordable Italian restaurant right next door, but we chose Rosso Vivo and didn't regret it. Very friendly service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Mannheim :o)

The pizza tasted good. However, when we ordered, we weren't informed of some serious errors in the menu, even though the waiter was aware of them beforehand (which we only found out afterward when we asked about them). I specifically chose a "red" pizza with tomato sauce and was given a "white" cheese pizza instead because it was incorrectly listed on the menu. Apparently, there's also a vegetarian pizza on the menu, which isn't really one. Mistakes can happen, but if criticism isn't even taken seriously, that's a different matter. Furthermore, not once was anyone asked whether we liked the food. Unlike the table next to us, who were constantly served and entertained (among other things because of the numerous expensive wines that had been ordered). It's a shame to experience such stark unequal treatment when visiting a restaurant.

A cozy little restaurant in downtown Mannheim. The Neapolitan pizzas look very attractive here and taste good too. Unfortunately the service needed improvement. The guests experienced long waiting times and a lot of hectic pace. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant.

As a Neapolitan I would say a very good pizza, with excellent raw materials and above all Italian. The pizzeria is located right in the center of the city, a stone's throw from the pedestrian area.

I am absolutely disappointed and shocked. My pizza was very salty and dry. I was only able to eat a piece of it. They didn't even ask if the food was tasty after the almost full plate came back. Unfortunately, the service wasn't good at all and wasn't attentive either. It's a shame because I had heard such good things about the pizzeria.

One of the best Pizza's in Town, and amazing service! We had the Margherita and another (which I can't remember now) Pizzas. The server forgot my Cola, but gave the drink on the house - a mistake was saved! And, the chilli oil is the best, especially if one loves spicy food! I would come here again, and again, and again!

Absurd spatial concept and underground service. As a group, the outside temperature was around 5 degrees and we were placed in a kind of winter garden that doesn't even have a lockable door (!) and is only heated by radiant heaters on the ceiling. Hard to bear in the long run, even with blankets and a jacket. I ordered a bottle of Barolo from the 2017 vintage - the waitress uncorked the bottle and THEN pointed out to me that the 2017 vintage was out and she opened it for me in 2020. In general, quote, “the vintages on the wine list are no longer current.” This is supposed to be a wine bar?! Apparently the staff is not trained and the wine list is not maintained. I can't comment on the food as I left early because of the freezing cold.

We almost didn't go in because one of the waitresses (unfriendly by the way) said there was no table available. Fortunately I went in and there was another person who found space. Recommendation: the drinks (soft drinks) are too small (200 ml I think) and it is not correct that they charge like a 350 ml one, which is already expensive in any restaurant

We decided to have dinner in this restaurant. The pizza was excellent and really good. The only thing I still loved was that we had to wait 45 minutes for a platter of cold cuts and cheeses since the waiters had to do it. 45 minutes was a bit too much even if the waiters were there loading the fridges for the next day they weren't that hungry.

We had 2 pizzas. They were okay, but not worth ~21€ and ~24€. Service was quite slow and a bit confused at times about which table ordered what or already placed and/or received their order.

The waiter made our reservation for an outside table in the windy cold weather without telling us. Although we initially thought the heaters would be sufficient, we soon realized they would not and wanted to leave. The waiter tried to charge a 10 Euro table fee even though there was no order.

In winter, outside tables are not recommend. Heaters does not help you. We tried to sit outside for a while but it was impossible. We asked for a table from inside. But there is none. Then they offered for us just to pay drinks if we want to leave. 2 beers and 1 lemonade(12 €). After I have paid the bill, i asked to see it. They charged me 22€. Woww. Ich bin überrascht über manch wirklich extrem negatives Kommentar hier. Ich habe das Rosso Vino erst im Jul 2024 entdeckt da ich nicht aus Mannheim komme und war nun schon 3 mal dort Essen. Das Ambiente ist nichts besonderes. eng, teilweise draußen (überdacht) . Pizzeria / Winebar Style eben. Die Pizzen sind teuer aber auch EXTREM gut. Ich habe selten so eine Komposition aus Zutaten probieren dürfen. Die Kartte ist auch sehr vielfältig und kreativ. Auch war meine Pizza nie durchnässt, labrig, oder klebrig wie bei einigen anderen Kommentaren hier zu lesen. Ich nehme an das es sich hier um ein einmaliges schlechtes Ereignis gehandelt hat das zumindest ich bei meinen 3 besuchen so nicht bestätigen kann. SERVICE: Oft recht beansprucht aber sehr freundlich. 4 von 5 Punkten ESSEN: Überragende Pizza! Ein Erlebnis für den Gaumen mit Besten Zutaten. 5 von 5 Punkten PREIS LEISTUNG: Die teuerste Pizza die ich je außerhalb Nordamerikas gegessen haben. HiWe were here on Saturday and ordered two pizzas. Both were delicious and the dough exceeded our expectations - one of the best pizzas in Mannheim! The waitress was attentive, quick and always had an overview. You feel comfortable here and can enjoy your meal in peace. We'd love to come back!

Somehow dismantled? We used to come here so often and it was by far the best pizza in Mannheim. Every now and then it would get badly burned at the bottom, but there was always a new one. Lately, however, the pizza has been topped very sparingly, hardly any fresh items are used for decoration and everything is topped much more sparingly. The dough is also not as nice as it used to be, but somehow hard? It's still okay for pizza but definitely not what it used to be & since the cheapest pizza costs €18.90 and the others are between around €22-25, I would definitely not recommend the pizzeria. You sit right on the street and the service takes a disproportionately long time.

What was particularly impressive was that we arrived 40 minutes before the official closing time and were still greeted with extreme friendliness. This idea of ​​service ran through the entire visit and left a lasting impression. The menu is deliberately kept clear, which not only makes the selection easier, but also allows you to concentrate on the essentials: starters and pizza. The quality of the products used is outstanding and is reflected in every bite. Fresh ingredients and craftsmanship go hand in hand here. A small downer was the rather limited selection of drinks. The restaurant could make some improvements here in order to reflect the variety and quality of the food in this area too. Special praise goes to the boss, who proved to be extremely courteous and friendly. His hospitality and professionalism complete the overall experience and contribute significantly to the positive atmosphere. The price of the restaurant is more than fair. Given the central location and the high quality of the food, the price-performance ratio is excellent. All in all, this Italian restaurant in Mannheim is a clear recommendation. Best pizza, well more tolerable pizza.... Dough is great if you like it crunchy and soggy. It's not mine. For me, pizza is crispy on the edge and the dough is baked through in the middle. Unfortunately, I didn't taste the crushed truffle either. The burrata starter was truly one of the best I've ever had. That's what you would expect given the price. But why add cherry tomatoes and not good tomatoes with flavor....? Then we took half of it with us because we didn't think it was that great and there is a pizza box with aluminum lamination. Makes sense with such a soupy pizza, but then it's hazardous waste... For us it was disappointing but if you like flabby crumpled pizza... TOP

If you really want to eat high-quality pizza, this is the place for you. No industrial cheese is slapped on the pizza here, but lovingly topped with real buffalo mozzarella. Every bite is a pleasure!

We were passing through to eat pizza here. The place is nice but not too big. There were some negative points for which I leave my two star review. I have one criticism to improve for them, the first is the price is a little too high, when talking about pizza Margherita we are talking about a classic pizza and I understand that in Germany they want to charge more, but not that much. According to the staff, sometimes talking too much and "bragging" is not good in front of the customers.
