The food was very tasty and we were absolutely satisfied with the service. Unfortunately it was quite loud and the music was too loud... that's why only 4⭐️ for the ambience.

ATTENTION: When I look at the application here in advance, there are a lot of reviews from the Mexican Rondell. I can't quite understand why the reviews are mixed up. We fell for it, just like many others. We were there with several people on a Saturday. Luckily there was a little less going on at this time. Unfortunately very quiet as there was no music playing. But let's get to the food. - Steak wasn't cooked as desired and it was rather lukewarm for everyone. The steak should be 200g. Unfortunately I didn't have any cars with me, but we all agreed. That wasn't 200g. The taste was below average. - Salt and pepper were missing at the tables because there was hardly any pepper on the steak. - Knives were too blunt - Baked potato was also rather warm and not hot. - The fried mushrooms still deserve the name. They only consisted of onions. - Beer was warm on tap. - The staff was rather neutal. We were often not seen or the drinks took a long time Conclusion: For a steakhouse, Rondell simply offers nothing special. There are much better restaurants in the area that can also call themselves steakhouses :) So for us it was the first and last visit.

We were here for the first time and were very excited!!! Pleasant, cozy atmosphere, very nice, communicative service, excellent food, large portions… We'd love to come back! Thanks for the nice evening!

Das Essen war super lecker und auch sehr appetitlich angerichtet. Portion ist völlig ausreichend. Der Service war gleich null. Wir sassen Draußen das war schön.

The restaurant is located on a roundabout in the middle of Oldenburg and offers seating outside and on the first floor. The ambience is nicer on the first floor, but the outside seating is also acceptable when the weather is good. The menu is very diverse and there is a large selection of different steaks, but also fish and vegetarian alternatives. The steaks taste amazing and are cooked perfectly. This impression is underscored by the very tasty side dishes. In addition to the highly recommended potato wedges, there are fries or a baked potato as a side dish. In addition, our steak came with a grilled onion and tomato, both of which were not only there for the look but also perfected in terms of taste. I have never tasted such a delicious grilled onion. The staff is attentive and friendly. The prices are good from a price/performance point of view. I can recommend this restaurant without reservation and will now eat there regularly.

I've been pretty happy so far, but this time the fries were completely soaked in fat and inedible. The staff simply replied “it’s always like that”. No compensation whatsoever. The portion isn't exactly big for the price.

Were there on a Monday with 4 people, table pre-booked online at 6:45 p.m. Friendly welcome, free choice of seating, the restaurant is very cozy and has a great ambience, it exudes a certain calm that is also transmitted to the staff. The process of ordering drinks and food and preparing the food was optimal. The food we ordered, steaks, was cooked to perfection and the side dishes were all excellent. What we really liked is that the staff isn't pushy - just a little wave and someone is there straight away to take care of your request. The price-performance ratio is also okay. It was a very nice evening, we would love to come back.

We had an excellent meal, from starters to dessert. The service was always present and pleasantly reserved and discreet. The price-performance ratio is excellent.

Since I often went to the Mexican restaurant in the past, I also visited the steakhouse once. The service was nice, the ambience is a matter of taste. When my starter soup came I was looking forward to my goulash soup. And then... Unseasoned, 3 pieces of meat but half a cup full of potatoes. I could have ordered a potato soup straight away. The steak afterwards was good average. However, the subsequent price of €63 for the two dishes plus a Diet Coke is completely unfounded given the quality. So this will remain a one-off visit. Oh yes, and I find the fact that the toilets are downstairs at the exit (the restaurant is upstairs) very annoying. It was a shame from my point of view.

As a starter we chose buratta, which was very tasty. The main course, I had the flank steak, was also good, but I've also had better ones. What I can highly recommend are the homemade potato wedges. The service was very nice and attentive. You didn't have to wait long for the service to come. The ambience is nice, the building is very special. It's on a roundabout. The tables are small and close together. This is due to the fact that the building is round and there is not much space on the first floor. As a result, the noise level is correspondingly high. We were there at 6:30 p.m., it's not that busy at that time and therefore quieter. All in all, highly recommended.

The food is delicious, the waiter is nice, but my Airpods were stolen. The jacket was hanging on the coat rack and was stolen, but the waiter helped me and provided me with everything I needed.

Food is top. Very good quality. The restaurant itself is very nice. But: make sure that you sit far away from the door (emergency exit). It's drafty and cold. The staff comes and goes here all the time. The service was semi. The food took over an hour and tables that arrived after us had their food much earlier. The waiter came with baseless excuses about the food and the door being constantly open.

Great restaurant, good food and definitely worth the visit. The only thing that didn't convince us was the service. Unfortunately, once you placed your order, you weren't really paid any attention to.

The two of us were there shortly after the evening opening this Saturday and got a table without booking in advance. We had the pulled chicken burger with delicious sweet potato fries and the grill plate Rondell with a small salad - both dishes were excellent. The plates were preheated and the dark König Ludwig beer was perfect. We were very impressed by the friendly and attentive service. We would love to come back and enjoy the great atmosphere with the overview of the traffic jam and Oldenburg harbor and the delicious food! Great praise.

A bit inconspicuous from the outside and the location right on an intersection seems a bit bizarre at first. My steak, a US rib-eye, was cooked to perfection as I requested, medium rare, slightly rare. It was rounded off with great grilled vegetables. Clear recommendation, would love to come back

The service is very friendly, attentive and warm! We ate rump steaks and the gratinated goat cheese and baguette with aioli. Everything came to the table very hot, was beautifully presented and tasted excellent. We would deduct a star for the ambience, although it is probably not easy to fix: the smell in the basement - probably due to the adjacent sewers. Were there for the first time. A very nice restaurant, great menu and drinks too. The employees were great, very attentive and quick. The food was a straight A! The only thing that bothered me was the smell in the entrance area. If this is fixed, it would have been a solid 5 stars.

Nachdem ich jahrelang dem Mexikaner keine Beachtung geschenkt habe, bekam der neue Betreiber auch aufgrund der positiven Rezensionen eine Chance. Und ich habe es nicht bereut! Die Location ist schon was besonderes und wertig eingerichtet. Der Service ist aufmerksam und hat bis auf einen kleinen Fehler (der servierte Hauptgang war für einen anderen Gast und wurde ihm dann ‚übergeben‘ - zum Glück hatte ich noch nicht gestartet) war alles ok. Der Ziegenkäse war nicht wie üblich angerichtet, sondern kreativ und wirklich sehr lecker. Das US-Beef kam auf den Punkt gegart, super zart und saftig! Ein echter Genuss, bei dem die Beilagen zur Nebensache verkamen. Wenn überhaupt ein wenig Kritik sein kann - die Kartoffelspalten hätten heisser sein können und die Sourcreme würziger, aber deswegen war ich ja nicht da. Der kalifornische Wein war super und passte perfekt zu beiden Speisen. Ein Wermutstropfen bleibt der Preis für die Flasche Wasser, das habe ich schon zurückhaltender kalkuliert erlebt. Over all - eine Bereicherung für Oldenburg, sicher eird ein weiterer Besuch folgen.

Das Essen war sehr lecker und auch reichlich für den Preis. Bis zur Bestellung der Rechnung war alles super. Die Rechnung mussten wir 3x bestellen. Nach der Bezahlung und der Aushändigung der Quittung sind uns zwei Positionen aufgefallen, die wir nicht bestellt hatten. Den Betrag haben wir dann auch zurück bekommen, samt einer Entschuldigung. Meiner Meinung nach darf sowas nicht passieren und die Quittung muss vorher ausgehändigt werden (das war hier nicht der Fall, ich musste aktiv danach fragen)

Alles super gelaufen, nette Bedienung, super Steak! Weiterempfehlung!

Das Ambiente ist großartig. Schön eingerichtet und ein toller Blick auf den Hafen. Auch das Essen war gut, nur das ich bei einem 20 Euro Burger nicht Ketchup und Mayonnaise in Plastiktütchen dazugelegt hätte. 🤪

Wir haben super gegessen dort! Ohne Erwartungen sind Diese dann doch übertroffen worden. Kann ich nur empfehlen! Preise sind für ein Steakhouse absolut vertretbar.

Wir waren jetzt dreimal hintereinander in kurzen Abständen dort. Das Essen ist sehr lecker, eine tolle Auswahl an Gerichten, der Service ist hervorragend und sehr nett. Als Gast wird man beachtet. Zudem ist das Ambiente sehr angenehm. Das Restaurant hat NICHTS mehr mit dem vorherigen Mexikaner zu tun. Ich kann es nur empfehlen dort mal hinzugehen.

Vorab: das Essen war gut, leckeres Grillgemüse und Kartoffelspalten mit Dip, Huhn knusprig, leider die Hühnerbrust etwas zu lange gegart. Der Geräuschpegel im Restaurant sehr nervig. Alles sehr eng, man muss Nähe mögen und keinen romantischen Abend erwarten. An winzige Zweiertische würde noch ein dritter Stuhl platziert.....das sah abenteuerlich aus und war es laut unseren Nachbarn wohl auch beim Essen. Supernette Bedienung, die alles im Blick hatte. Unbedingt reservieren.... Samstag war der Laden proppevoll.

Hier stimmt alles, Essen, Getränke, Service, Ambiente, hier ist der Gast König - immer wieder sehr gerne.

Essen war top! Fleisch auf dem Punkt Sehr guter Geschmack!! Bedienung usw sehr flott und nett, freundlich Lautstärke im Lokal sehr hoch, schwierig am eigenen Tisch alles zu verstehen.

Der Laden würde schön eingerichtet, das Essen ist gut, die Preise gerechtfertigt und das Personal ist super freundlich. Auch Hunde sind hier erlaubt. Vegane und vegetarische Alternativen gab es auch.

Sehr romantisches, entspanntes Ambiente. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen groß, die Cocktails etwas klein. Service immer sehr freundlich, ich sehe keinen Raum für Mängel.

Seit der Renovierung sehr schönes Ambiente innen. Den Biergarten konnte ich noch nicht erproben ☺️ Die Steaks sind fantastisch und die Getränkeauswahl genauso. Bis zum nächsten Mal!

If you call this Mexican food, you clearly have no idea what Mexico is about. The location is unique, which is nice. But the food is terrible. The menu reads itself more for Tex-Mex fans - but the outcome is even worse. The food tastes like it just got warmed up in a microwave. Don't fall for it and rather go somewhere else.

Bedienung war sehr nett. Vorspeise und Hauptgerichte waren okay, aber auch nicht mehr. Bei den Preisen würden wir daher gerne etwas "mehr" erwarten.

Toevallig kwam ik in dit rsturant gerecht. het oogt anders, beter, dan ik in Nederland gend bent. De kaart is wat schreeuwerig maar het eten is heerlijk. ik at een groenten-vlees gerecht klaaremaakt in een soort kaassaus, geserveerd met een bescheiden maar lekkere salade.

Mein Freund und ich wollten schon immer das Rondell austesten. Tolle Lage, nette Begrüßung und es roch fantastisch! Wir hatten die Popers vorweg, welche wirklich lecker waren. Vorspeise und Getränke wurden auch wirklich schnell serviert. Unsere Gerichte kamen anschließend auch ziemlich schnell danach. Ich hatte die Nachos Rondell (12,90€) und mein Freund das Mexico Feuersteak (17,90€). Beides leider mehr als enttäuschend. Die Soße zum Steak schmeckte lasch und war sehr dünn, scharf war daran gar nichts außer vielleicht eine kleine Hand voll Jalapeños, die aber keinerlei Geschmack an das Essen abgaben. Dafür waren meine Nachos fast ungenießbar, weil es zu feurig war. Sehr viel Salsa, welche deutlich schärfer wirkte als die, die es zur Vorspeise gab. Preisleistungsverhätnis stimmte hier leider gar nicht. Schade, es fing eigentlich sehr gut an. Die Bedienung blieb aber sehr freundlich, auch nachdem wir Kritik äußerten und vielleicht überzeugen wir uns ein andermal nur von den Cocktails und essen nebenbei wieder Popers, denn das Ambiente ist sehr hip.

Moin, wir waren zum wiederholten Male im Rondell und sind bisher immer zufrieden gewesen. So auch diesmal. Ohne Reservierung hatten wir Glück mit einem Tisch und wurden freundlich empfangen. Normale Auswahl an Getränken und Speisen. Fajitas und Burger waren lecker und kamen recht zügig. Bedienung war den ganzen Abend freundlich und hilfsbereit. Fazit: Kann man machen 👍

Nachos als Vorspeise waren kalt und total zerkrümmelt , die gewählte Hauptspeise ,immerhin das teuerste Tellergericht Fajita irgendwie roch tranig und schmeckte auch so .Auf Nachfrage erklärte die Bedienung , dieses Gericht sei am Vortag wie auch immer frisch zubereitet worden. Seit Montagnacht habe ich bis heute ,Mittwochmittag , Magen bzw. schmerzhafte Darmbeschwerden .Unterirdisch ! Dies ist ganz deutlich keine Restaurantkritik ,sondern eine Warnung! :

Right in the middle of Oldenburg this restaurant offers mexican and american dishes. The waiters have to climb the stairs from the kitchen to where the guests are located,which is sometimes a choreographic challenge as the guests use the same route up and down! We were entirely happy with both the food and the service.

Die Lage des Restaurants ist zentral und echt gut. Innen und außen irgendwie ein Mix aus American Diner und Mexican Restaurant. Irgendwie ganz hübsch und auch passend. Das Essen ...... Was soll man da sagen. Wir haben es ausprobiert um und mal selbst zu überzeugen. Geschmacklich ist es ok. Schlecht ist es nicht. Aber wir würden es einreihen in die Kategorie Dönerladen, McDonald, Burger King und Schnellimbiss. Alles schmeckt ganz ok, aber es ist Fast Food. So kommt das Essen auch daher im Rondell. Wir hatten Tapas. Das was man bekommt darf man eigentlich so nicht nennen. Hat nicht so wirklich mit echtem Mexican Food was zu tun. Alles Fertigsachen aus der Tüte und ab in die Friteuse. Zwiebelringe, Chickenwings, panierte Paprika und zwei andere panierte Sachen. Gibt es in jedem Supermarkt für zuhause und das auch viel viel günstiger. Tapas für 20,-, preislich absolut überzogen und für das was man bekommt absolut nicht ok. Zweite Speise Bouritto. War geschmacklich auch ok aber eher ein Rollo mit Hackfleisch wie in einem Dönerladen. Mit echten Mexican Bouritto hatte das nicht viel zu tun. Fazit: Es schmeckt ok und wird auch versucht schön anzurichten, aber Fastfood aus Friteuse ist und bleibt was es ist. Wer wirklich Mexican Food möchte oder etwas frisches will für das Geld ist definitiv Woanders besser aufgehoben.

Wir waren heute im Rondell in Oldenburg. Oh je... Klar es war wegen des Weihnachtsmarktes einiges los. - Ohne Tischreservierung keine Chance. Das Restaurant beeindruckt durch die außergewöhnliche Lage und den Baustil. Das war’s aber schon... Der Service war bemüht und sehr gestresst. Ein entspannter Restaurantbesuch sieht jedoch anders aus. Essen war soweit ok und nett angerichtet. Aber nicht sehr authentisch mexikanisch und daher nix besonderes. Wartezeiten trotz des vollen Ladens ok. Preise sind nicht günstig aber auch noch ok. Alles in allem für mich nur befriedigend und nur bedingt zu empfehlen. Daher drei Sterne.
