Elrado-House in Oldenburg (Oldb)

A great steak for a long time, the meat was superbly prepared and to the point. The service was friendly and quick. Definitely worth recommending.

We've been eating here for 25 years. The service is great. Oliver learned a lot from his father Peo and developed it excellently. The steaks are cooked to perfection. Simply fantastic. The salads from the buffet leave nothing to be desired. We feel very comfortable here and can fully recommend the Elrado. Petra & Heiko

For a steakhouse the steak wasn't good. Ordered medium and got it cooked through. Carelessly done. Unfortunately, mayonnaise and ketchup in packets on the table have something of a takeaway style about them. Herb butter was only available for everyone on a plate in the middle. Portions were just enough. Then we went somewhere else for dessert.

Not good but not bad either. Don't know the difference between rare and medium, which is what they should do in a Steakhaus. Smaller owes then a drink that everyone already gets😅. Not recommended if you like properly cooked steak. Service is attentive and friendly.

We ate there for the second time without a reservation. This time both had different dishes and like the first visit. There's no reason to complain. Drinks, food and service impeccable. Tiptop, we'd love to come back...

Great modern restaurant. Highly recommend fillet steak. It was super tasty but not medium fried. When we spoke to the staff we were given a delicious tiramisu as an apology. Very attentive. Despite the wrong “brat point” I would happily go again.

The quality of food and service was very good, but the atmosphere was like that of a factory floor. You sit at small tables on stools and it is very loud. There can be no question of a Spanish atmosphere.

This restaurant has been around since 1988 and for good reason. The food is excellent and has been from the start. We go here at least once a year and always go home satisfied. The staff is friendly and very attentive.

The food was great!!! The service? That evening I caught the wrong waiter!!! I was ignored when I ordered before and was told not to light a candle because of the fans, in a tone? Wow, I actually wanted to go there again. There was a free Diet Coke at the end. I didn't give a tip! The food was really good!

As soon as we are in Oldenburg, we will reserve a table. No matter what is ordered, everything has been really good so far 😃 The staff is very attentive and sees straight away when a drink is running low. It's a challenge because the Elrado House is always well attended is . You can't complain about the price, good meat costs a little more. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Definitely one of the top restaurants in Oldenburg. Phenomenal customer service and great food. We held a company dinner there in February and the Elrado team managed to serve all 60 plates almost at the same time and despite the larger group, the meat was cooked perfectly. It was a pleasure :)

Very good food in a quiet environment. There are parking spaces directly at the house or more than enough opposite. There is a bus stop right in front of the house.

We had dinner with 8 people. Everyone had a different dish and everyone was very satisfied. I had beef carpaccio as a starter and a medium rare ribeye steak as my main course. The carpaccio tasted very good and especially fresh. The steak was cooked perfectly even though the restaurant was very full and we ordered food with 8 people. The waiter was always there to inquire about our drinking wishes. Above all, every person who served us was very friendly. Requests were also addressed. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant.

One thing in advance ☝🏻 Definitely the best steak house in Oldenburg 🤤 We were eating in the restaurant with 6 people...we were greeted very friendly at the door 🤩 You're happy to pay a few euros more for this quality of meat ❤️ Lots of children's meals on the menu and they are more than reasonably priced (€5 on average). The kids received a little ice cream on the house and everyone went home happy and full ☺️ Of course, the highlight is that they support our VfB Oldenburg ⚽⚪🔵 We are already looking forward to our next visit with you 😊

Top quality, above all always at a consistent level. Always well attended, which speaks for itself. Appropriate price/performance ratio, highly recommended! The parking lot is a bit small and dark, so it's better to park diagonally opposite the Maco-City shopping center.

An excellent steakhouse with a suitable ambience and competent and friendly staff. The map is clear. A larger selection is not necessary given the quality and delicious dishes.

Unfortunately, a voucher was no longer redeemed and could not be used during the Corona phase and for scheduling reasons. Apparently it has expired, which is a shame!

As always, our food was delicious. We had the Elrado plate twice. The side salad was also very tasty. The service is great. Orders can be placed quickly and the food is served within a short time.

We haven't eaten so badly in a long time. Unfortunately the lamb shank was completely over salted and dry. The schnitzel with the champion mush sauce was more parade and frying fat instead of schnitzel. The fried potatoes are a mush like they came from the microwave. The green beans have no taste... From my point of view, ready-made products out of the bag with a lot of glutamate, fat, artificial flavors and a lot of additives :-(((

Despite the late hour (30 minutes before the kitchen closes) and without a reservation, we were still able to convince ourselves of the delicious steaks here in this steakhouse. The service came very promptly and very friendly and took the order. I've never been to a restaurant where the bill is served on a tablet and the waiters withdraw to maintain privacy. This is characterized by very good service and professional manner. If I could judge it, I would like to recommend a Michelin star. 🌟 we would love to come back

The food was very good, but the fillet steak was a little tough. The staff was very nice and friendly, unfortunately you had the feeling that you weren't really welcome because everything was very hectic and the staff bumped into each other several times.

We visit the Elrado several times a year - unfortunately not as often as before because inflation and skyrocketing energy prices no longer allow us to do so. A visit there is always a highlight. We are treated very friendly and it almost feels like a family atmosphere. The steaks, potatoes and lamb are of high, consistent quality and are always delicious. The restaurant is cozy. You sit comfortably at a distance from the other guests on wonderful, padded, high-backed benches. The following was very positive: The Elrado inevitably increased its prices during the Corona crisis, but now that the VAT relief for catering establishments has been eliminated, it has not increased them AGAIN - at least not noticeably. We will happily remain regular guests.

War dort Anfang Dezember Essen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Das Essen war lecker. Es gab zwar einen Kritik Punkt am essen aber der ist ehrlich gesagt eine leicht versalzene Portion Bratkartoffeln. Werde gerne jederzeit wieder dort Essen .

Das T-Bone Steak war genau auf den Punkt, das Essen generell war gut. Das Essen war zügig da. Die Bedienung war freundlich. Das Restaurant ist schön gemütlich aufgeteilt. War sehr schön.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Interieur ist sehr geschmackvoll und bequem, die Beleuchtung sehr gemütlich, die Akkustik gedämpft. Das Personal ist absolut freundlich, flott und sehr aufmerksam ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Ach ja, das Filetstesk war spitze; genau auf den Punkt, wie es sein muss. Herrlich: Dazu knusprige Pommes und Weizenbier vom Fass :-)

Der "Elradoteller" und die "Fitnesspfanne" waren diesmal ausnehmend gut gewesen.

Leider war unser letzter Besuch vom Essen her nicht so der Hit. Steaks waren nichts besonderes, ich hatte von jedem etwas: Rinderfilet, Rinderhüfte und Rumpsteak, die Qualität des Fleisches war nicht besonders gut, dass habe ich sofort beim Anschnitt bemerkt, jedes Stück glich dem anderen, ich konnte nicht differenzieren welches Stück nun welches war, alle hatten die selbe Konsistenz und haben für mich alle 3 nach günstigem Discounter Hüftsteak geschmeckt. Schade, da ich hier sonst eigentlich immer Recht zufrieden gewesen bin. Satt sind wir trotz Vorspeise übrigens nicht geworden, ich glaube auch nicht dass es 300g waren, höchstens 250. Insgesamt gesehen war der Besuch dennoch okay, die Bedienung war aufmerksam und freundlich, dass Ambiente ist gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Wir werden wieder kommen und hoffen daß dies nur ein einmaliger Ausfall beim Essen gewesen ist.

Das Essen ist super Preise sind gut und das beste an allem war der Service!! Man hat sich soo gut aufgehoben gefühlt sobald etwas leerer wurde, wurden wir gefragt ob wir es etwas neues bräuchten. Keine langen Wartezeiten und ehe wir mit der Vorspeise anfingen, kam auch schon das Hauptmenü trotz vollem Hause!!

Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr aufmerksame Bedienung und das Essen war spitze. Die Steaks butterweich, der Lachs auf den Punkt gegart, Kartoffelgratin vom Feinsten und die Bratkartoffeln klasse. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder hin.

Mein Mann ist der beste Steak Griller aller Zeiten! Das Steak im Elrado ist genauso gut. Wir sind wieder einmal nicht enttäuscht. Super lecker!! Bedienung perfekt. Die "Jungs" sind kompetent und unterhaltsam. VRLO DOBRO! Hygienerichtlinien wurden eingehalten. Trotz Corona fühlt man sich sicher!!!! Perfekt! Wir kommen immer wieder.....

Das beste Steak aller Zeiten. Englisch auf dem heißen Stein. Nette und freundliche Bedienung. Mit Familie oder auch mit Freunden.

Ich bin froh, dass ich jetzt nach langen Wochen der Zurückhaltung mal wieder mit meinen Töchtern essen gehen konnte. Unser Lieblingssteakhouse hat wieder offen, wenn auch mit weniger Kapazität. Die Begrüßung war sehr freundlich, so wie wir es gewohnt sind und der Service vorbildlich. Die Laufwege und Tische waren so vorbereitet, wie man es zurzeit erwarten kann. Das Essen so gut wie zuvor!!!

My wife and I spent a good 67 euros for very bad old unprofessionally cooked steak and a bottle of wine. The wine was good; however, the steak was like a left-over meat that was again cooked. We both love steaks and have had lots in many good restaurants in town and in many places around the world, but this restaurant is not where you should go for steaks.

Price performance: good With a group of seven we tried the Elrado in Oldenburg. I already knew the branch at the Market square in Lüneburg, however, the decoration of the Elrado in Nordstraße in Osternburg has been glued to the late seventies and doesn't look welcoming in any way. We had reserved a quiet table for seven people, unfortunately it was at the draughty passage to the smoking room, where the smell of cold cigarette smoke bothered us. But all Tuesday night there were still many seats available, so they offered us a table for eight at the other end of the premises, where there was also a working heater. Elrado advertises with the slogan "we love steaks", not only with the meat they are putting in the effort. The meat was served on hot cast iron plate and was fresh, free from traces of a deep cooling (burned on the outside, raw on the inside) that one sometimes encounters elsewhere. My plate was so hot, that I had to cover up to protect from the splashing from the juicy rib-eye. Perhaps one reason why the clothes smelled of cooking afterwards. The pepper steak and rib-eye came as ordered medium-rare (English), unfortunately, heavily salted. The meat was good and juicy, and the lamb was tender and plentiful, the sauce unfortunately over salted.The visitors were satisfied with the zander and salmon steak. We were served by a young, friendly waiter and a hectic middle-aged one. Unfortunately, he managed twice to insensibly interrupt birthday speech by a nonagenarian. Addressing the excessive salt towards the end of the meal, the waiter said he would have replace the food if we had told earlier. Conclusion: the Elrado team makes an effort, so always report immediately if something is wrong, even if you have to go to the hectic waiter. Coffee The Elrado uses a swiss Franke Expresso Machine and unfortunately uses UHT long-life milk for it’s Caffè latte. I deduct a point or star in the rating for not using fresh milk. Sanitation The loos are modern and solid, but smelled of urinal cake. Given the few guests in the restaurant, one wonders why they looked so relatively messy. Getting there A bus stop with frequent services is right in front of the entrance on Nordstrasse. During our visit, there was free parking available right by the Elrado-house, which can be reached from Hermmanstraße, but unfortunately there are no safe bicycle parking spaces, so that our bikes had to park on the footpath on Hermannstraße. Note To my criticisms 'cold', 'drafty' and for 'clothes smelling of cooking' it has to be noted that this on an evening in January when it was freezing outside. On warmer days, this may look different. Cost Seven people consumed three soups, seven main dishes, two salads, five beers and two wineglasses and we paid on average per head € 22.40 (incl VAT). A fair price for plenty of meat and fish.

Even when fully booked at a Tuesday evening we were able to get a table for four. Starting with a crispy salad, going into the mixed grill was a pleasure. The dishes for the children would even suit a not too hungry adult. Fast service, great food!

This is another favorite of ours in Oldenburg for traditional German fare as well as a good rib eye steak. Service is very good and food well prepared. Reservations are highly recommended as it usually packed. Dog friendly well.

I've been here with my German girlfriend, (she's my only girlfriend, it's just that she's from Germany), a few times and have never been disappointed. The service is attentive and helpful. The food is outstanding and the price is unbelievable! Previously when looking for steak we would go to Maredo near the Main Street in the city centre but this place blows it out of the water! The wine selection is great and the beer is delicious. I'd thoroughly recommend it. You MUST try the lamb dish. It has a lamb steak, a lamb chop AND a huge leg of lamb, for €14!!! The decor is traditional, it feels comfortable and warm. It's got a kinda 70's vibe about it, with tinted windows separating the booths and old style leather seats and stuff, I reckon this adds to the experience. I dine out regularly and I LOVE meat, if you're the same you've got to go and try this place! Enjoy! (Remember, try that lamb dish!)

I called to order a table for a dinner, the rude man just hung up a telephone when a asked hem if he speaks English... Finally I booked the table via my friends and I came there. What do you think ??? My table was given to somebody else. I've got a small one near entree door. Now time to eat... To be honestly I expected a restaurant but it was like a fast food place... I was very disappointed and of ours never come back!!!
