A house that stands for high quality. In contrast to the old facade of the building, the atmosphere is rather modern, and the service is very friendly and attentive. The tartare that I enjoyed was very well prepared. The roasted capers were interesting. Anchovies and mustard were not missing either. Very nicely done. Unfortunately, the beef broth wasn't made in-house, which is rather incomprehensible for a house like this. The range of open red wines was also rather limited and not convincing. The prices are high.

I was there recently with my wife and I have to say we really enjoyed it. Great food but nothing really comes close to the service. Very attentive. Thank you very much for the lovely evening.

A fantastic evening with brilliant cuisine and service. We visited Walhalla for the first time and were not disappointed. The starter and main course were very high quality and perfectly prepared.

Ein sehr schön eingerichtetes Restaurant mit hervorragendem Essen. Ein zusätzlicher Pluspunkt ist die Saisonalität der angebotenen Speisen und die angenehme Portionsgröße. Der Service ist sehr freundlich, sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Ich würde uneingeschränkt wieder zurückkommen.

Wir waren in dem Restaurant Walhalla für ein kleines Familienessen. Das Essen war vorzüglich und der Service bis zum Dessert auch. Danach wurden wir allerdings kaum noch beachtet, was ich zum Abschluss des Abends sehr schade fand. Daher auch die mittelmäßige Bewertung für den Service.

Mit der ganzen Familie (7) speisten wir im Restaurant Walhalla und wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. An einem großzügig bemessener Tisch und ruhige Atmosphäre genossen wir ein 3 Gang Menu bei dem auch auf die 3 Vegetarier in vollen Umfang eingegangen wurde. Das Servicepersonal war sehr bemüht und hat den Abend zusammen mit der Küchenleistung zu einem Erlebnis für uns alle gemacht.

Nach langer Zeit waren wir mal wieder im Walhalla. Ohne Reservierung haben wir einen Tisch für 2 Personen bekommen. Sehr freundlicher und professioneller Service. Überschaubare Speisekarte und sehr guter Auswahl der Gerichte. Gute Weinempfehlung. Das Essen wurde nach einer sehr angenehm empfunden Zeit serviert. Ausgezeichnet! Sehr gut von der Optik, dem Geschmack. Portionsgröße exakt für unseren Appetit. Leckerer Nachtisch! Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die umfangreiche Weinkarte des Restaurants. Wir ließen uns von den Empfehlungen des Sommeliers leiten und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Weine ergänzten die Speisen perfekt und rundeten das kulinarische Erlebnis ab. Das Romantik Restaurant Walhalla bietet nicht nur eine exquisite Küche, sondern auch einen erstklassigen Service. Das aufmerksame Personal sorgte dafür, dass es uns an nichts fehlte und alle unsere Wünsche erfüllt wurden.

Das Restaurant ist sehr empfehlenswert. Tolles Ambiente, hervorragendes Team, köstliches Essen. Wir haben den gestrigen Abend sehr genossen und kommen wieder.

Ich war mit meinen Kindern am 4.Mai im Wallhalla speisen und möchte neben dem ausgezeichneten Essen die super Leistung vom Service hervorheben. Vor allem die beiden freundlichen jungen Damen! Das ist der Hauptgrund meiner Rezension. Wenn ich das mit den meisten anderen Lokalen vergleiche ist das hier absolut herausragend. Einer meiner Söhne arbeitet selbst in der Gastro (Koch). Ihm ist sogleich aufgefallen, dass hier nicht einmal jemand vom Service mit dem Geschirr geklappert hat ;) Insgesamt eine top Leistung! Das Essen hat allen gut geschmeckt. Ich hatte das Spargelgericht. Der Spargel war auf dem Punkt perfekt gekocht, die Kartoffeln etwas zu salzig, was jedoch die Hollandaise wieder wett gemacht hat. 2x das Menue mit Rinderfilet soll sehr köstlich gewesen sein. Das Vegetarische Gericht und Dessert war ok. Immer gerne wieder!

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Freundliche Mitarbeiter, höflich, aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Wir hatten ein leckeres Romantik Menü mit korrespondieren Weinen. Alles stimmig. Wir haben den Abend sehr genossen und können dieses Restaurant ohne Einschränkungen weiterempfehlen.

Wir waren am 05.01.2023, nach langen Jahren, einmal wieder im Walhalla und es war ein Genuss in jeder Hinsicht. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert war alles perfekt. Aufmerksame, unaufdringliche Mitarbeiter, ein gediegenes Ambiente, der Abend war jeden Cent der Rechnung wert.

Die Qualität der Speisen war einwandfrei. Leider wurde beim Service nicht das selbe Level erreicht wie noch vor einigen Jahren, wobei das Team durchaus motiviert war.

Toller, aufmerksamer Service! Sogar der stellvertretende Hoteldirektor begrüsst entspannt seine Gäste. Toll! Essen war ausgezeichnet. Preise sind okay, aktuell müssen alle Ihre Preise anpassen. Parken direkt in der Altstadt Tiefgarage. Klasse auch der direkte Zugang zur Kneipe nebenan. Gerne wieder.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt , gerne wieder

Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Hauptgerichte, eine gemeinsame Vorspeise und begleitende Weine. Es war alles vorzüglich und kann nur weiterempfohlen werden.

Ich habe ein glutenfreies Brötchen zum Frühstück, das bekam ich auch, genauso wie ein Gast am Nachbartisch. Leider verschweißt und sehr heiß. Das Auspacken war kaum möglich. Das Einzige was das Frühstückspersonal interessiert hat, was die Zimmernummer. Die Teller stapelten sich auf meinem Tisch, es räumte keiner auf .

Angesichts der Qualität des Essens: zu teuer.

Eigentlich bin ich kein Freund von Restaurants die einem beim eintreten gleich die Jacke mopsen, aber dem Salat auf dem Aussteller an der Straße konnte ich nicht wiederstehen.😉 Ansonsten wird einem viel geboten. Eine freundliche Bedienung, gemütliche Atmosphäre und sehr leckeres Essen. Ihr solltet hier auf jeden Fall mal vorbeischauen, ihr werdet nicht enttäuscht sein.

Traumhaft urig und zusammen mit dem Partner/in kann man hier eine schöne Zeit verbringen.Tolle Zimmer und eine Bar in der man versackt.

Had dinner yesterday evening with a friend here, it was simply perfect. The food is fresh and tasty. They have an excellent wine card with wines from all over the world, we had a very good Cabernet Sauvignon from Chile at Eur 46, not cheap but the quality was outstanding. Will certainly come back here.

A lovely historic building with great ambiance, the service was very as was the food. Not too noisy /loud. I was surprised at the vegetarian option which was quite good (mushroom pasta). Portions are well-sized (not too big) and there was a "no rush" service.

I’m an American who is often tasked with treating my German friends to a good ole’ American steak. We have lots to choose from and I pride myself on cooking a top notch filet. Well... I had one at their restaurant that would rival any that I’ve had in the US. If you’re here visiting and want a good steak, you can’t go wrong here. And if you’re from here and think you have to go to the US or Mexico have a good one, you’re wrong. Give them a shot. You’ll be glad that you did.

Had some wonderful food here with a party of over 10 people. The food was very tasty and we were seated promptly at our reservation time. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

If you stay in the more than 300 years old part of the hotel it should be clear that you have to renounce on many modern things.....height of the rooms.....well may be 2,20m , rooms rather small as they were also in the past. But soooooo romantic. Watch out of the small wooden window and find out that you are in the middle of the wooden saints on the facade of the house. Our room was between St John and Saint Lucas......we loved it! Never stayed in such a romantic location. Breakfast was very nice too. Hotel a little bit difficult to find....but you will arrive with patience. Garage space available ...and last but not least one of the best restaurants of Germany ...three M stars rated " La Vie" is just next door. Perfect also for visiting the old part of the city and the fabulous museum of Felix Nussbaum built by Libeskind.

I found it by chance while walking in the city. Traditional -and generous- German dishes cooked with fresh ingredients make this place a clever (but not light nor frugal) option for a nice lunch. Reasonable prices combined with a good service make this restaurant a good option in Osnaburk.

This hotel is located as centrally as anyone could wish for. In a calm neighbourhood (unless you get a room towards the pedestrian area on a Saturday). Professional and friendly reception, spacious rooms with all amenities (although somewhat old fashioned), good restaurant, a fine bar with some nice german wines served by the glass, good breakfast. This is the second time we stayed here, and we are coming back.

Super service in the bar David .... the hotel restaurant close kichen at 21:00 early for south european. But the bar David was a great visit .... nice people servicing us and a GREAT saint emilion wine. We got the junior suite ... great room and perfect bathroom.... We have been here several times - but always good or great service.

Very classy, central, very attentive and profound waiters; a really good wine menu (with one of the best South African wines ever drank), in summary : a perfect evening for families and even bigger rounds.

Walhalla is an old medeval inn. The old building is very nice, but when you don't ask for it epaccially or make a late reservation you are likely to get a table in the adjecant new buillding. The food is okay, but to my likings overpriced for waht you get.

We came here to celebrate a 90th birthday of a relative of mine and apart from having had an excellent meal in a great historical atmosphere, the only downfall was the fact that this restaurant because of it's history was rather crowded and the noise...

This is a very fine restaurant however slightly let down by it's modern interior. However the service was excellent and, as the decor is almost new, everything was clean and fashionable. Rustic German no, but special occasion yes.

If you visit Osnabrück at any time then this should be on your list to visit.. I havn't been here since the renovations but the food is good.

For non vegetarians the menu is truly excellent and the chef (and he truly is a chef) creates delicious meals, beautifully presented.
