Food good, service attentive, but the ambiance is unpleasantly loud due to insufficient soundproofing.

It was very cramped and the food was extremely oily.

Excellent food and cozy atmosphere. It's busy on weekends so you need to book in advance if you want to get a table.

Unfortunately, it wasn't quite that good. The potatoes with the Königsberger Klopse (meatballs) were too hard. And the baked potatoes with topping – the topping was straight from the fridge. Absolutely unacceptable. The very friendly service almost made up for it.

We were there with a group. The food was okay, but nothing special in my opinion. The fried potatoes were swimming in grease; I would have preferred them crispier. The staff seemed stressed and rather indifferent. But what really annoyed me was that we had a table from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. At 7:18 PM, the bill arrived without us even asking. There was no chance of enjoying a leisurely dessert. Quantity over quality...

Good evening, unfortunately I can't give a review. We wanted to come to the restaurant on Tuesday with 10 people, but it was closed. Other restaurants weren't open until 5 or 6 pm. We were traveling with a bus company and unfortunately had to leave again at 6:15 pm. No stars.

It was very tasty, the customer service was pleasant and courteous, and the atmosphere was cozy and warm.

Food was great. Location was great. Service was okay. In the future, please pay attention to the fill line when pouring wine. We ordered three different wines, and each time the glass was filled well below the fill line. When we pointed this out to the staff each time, we would have appreciated a bit more friendliness. And we also felt that an hour and a half was far too short for a large group to eat.

Despite having booked in advance, our group was rushed through in 1.5 hours; unfortunately, there was no time for a longer, leisurely meal! The food was delicious!

There were four of us there on Saturday. The Herrenhäuser Schnitzel is absolutely delicious! However, we all agreed that the portions were a bit too small. A shame! Otherwise, 5 stars!

I happened to walk in to this restaurant on a busy night, without a reservation. The waitstaff were very polite and informed me they could find me a seat, but it will be limited to 45 minutes because of existing reservations. I took a chance, and was glad I did that. Great tasting food and amazing service.

We had... Grandpa's Pan: Overall, okay, but the fried potatoes were too soft and undercooked. Baked Potato: Tasted good, but the portion was significantly too small for the price. Sweet Potato Curry: Tasted good, but pumpkin was used instead of sweet potato. Also, €20 for this dish is too much.

Today, after a loooooong time, we ate a Hungarian potato pancake again. We were totally disappointed 😞. Lots of sauce, not much ground meat, and somehow everything just tasted like paprika powder. For the price...which has also gone up significantly...a huge disappointment.

⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Delicious food, great beer selection, and cozy atmosphere 🍻🥔 We visited the Kartoffelhaus in Osnabrück and were very satisfied overall. We tried "Grandpa's Potato Pan," the Argentinian rump steak with chanterelle mushrooms, and the napkin dumplings with chanterelle mushrooms. Everything tasted very good; the steak was cooked to perfection, although a bit tough to the bite. For starters, we had the fried potato slices with aioli. They were tasty, but could have been a bit crispier. The large beer selection is particularly noteworthy: six different beers on tap, including a lager – really great. 🍺 The atmosphere is quaint and cozy, with traditional decor, so you immediately feel at home. The only minor drawback: it was quite loud at times, as a large group was having a party. After they left, the volume returned to a pleasant level. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food arrived quickly. The prices were absolutely fair: the steak was just under €30, which is reasonable, and the potato pan was a large portion at around €15, offering very good value for money. All in all, a lovely evening in a restaurant that I definitely recommend. 👍

Everything there was delicious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice and centrally located. It was quite busy, though, so it was a good thing we called ahead.

The food was actually always delicious... Unfortunately, due to today's experience, we can't eat there anymore. I don't mind if I find something in my food that doesn't belong there... But when you're working in a kitchen, you should definitely make sure there aren't any dead moths in the salad. We paid full price today anyway, and I put the rest of my meal on my partner's plate because I'm not that sensitive. Things are different for other people.

Service was great, but the food was unfortunately mediocre. My side salad was old (brown and wilted all over) and covered in a strong pre-made sauce; the rest was okay. My mother's entire meal tasted strangely musty/old, and some of it was burnt. It's a shame; I'd only heard good things about it.

Went here for lunch on a Sunday, and it was practically empty. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and the restaurant and terrace were beautiful. The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. I 100% recommend the gnocchi; the baked potato is also delicious, but there are better options.

After years, I returned to the Kartoffelhaus. And it's still as good as it was back then. Sat outside under the oak trees in great weather. Absolutely hearty and fantastic 😎. The service was perfect 👌 by two young girls! Attentive and courteous! Thank you 🙏 to you! The food 🥘 was rustic. I had chili con carne, which tasted great! For dessert, vanilla ice cream, which wasn't on the menu, was arranged accordingly at my request. Thank you 🙏. The beer 🍺 was delicious and the vodka, which is very good and made in Osnabrück, is delicious. All in all, a wonderful evening. Thank you 🙏

One of Osnabrück's best restaurants! Banana beer and grandpa's fried potato pan are an excellent combination! A spontaneous visit with eight people, and we still got a table relatively quickly.

Sorry, I can't help it. A bit cramped, but for me, it's totally comfortable and cozy. The employees are so nice and helpful, of course, only if you're nice and ask. People, please be nice, they're working when we normal people want to have a good time. The grumpy boss is a unique character who deserves credit for his profession, as it happened due to a small ordering error, no big deal. We got a surprise at the end. I didn't understand it because the food was so plentiful and truly delicious, not because we were challenging him, but because we had a good chat, great. Still, even though I expressed understanding, he insisted on making amends. Respect! I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I feel comfortable here, and where I feel comfortable, I want to share my bread with others!

We had a lovely evening here. We had the wild salmon steak and the "Schickimicki" (spicy burger), which were truly delicious. It was difficult to choose just one dish from the amazing menu, but we still made a great choice!
