I've wanted to go to the potato house for a long time because, according to "veganfreund.org", there should be "more and more" and "changing monthly" vegan dishes there. We were there on a Saturday and were greeted with 1 vegan dish that - as you can see from other reviews - has been available there for a long time. Upon request, we were given a vegan version of the gnocchi, which three of us then ordered. The 4th person took the curry. The latter was very good, if we had all ordered it it would definitely have been 1 star more. The gnocchi, on the other hand, were a little bland, for one of us they were too crispy, for the other two they were swimming too much in a cream-like liquid. The tomatoes, mushrooms and nuts added flavor, but were relatively lacking. The portion was so small - also compared to the curry, but especially with the other dishes we saw - that we had to order potatoes ("Sticky Fingers"). Before our next visit, we would first make sure that the vegan offering has improved - we think there should be 3-4 dishes, because not everyone likes curry. The potato house in particular would have it easy, because vegan sausages and casseroles are really easy. The price was ok, apart from the additional costs for the potatoes. The curry was recommended. The two types of gnocchi, not so much.

Absolutely, nice staff, tasty food and visually very appetizingly presented. The prices are still reasonable. However, I find the drink prices extremely high. e.g. B. A rhubarb shorle for € 4.90!!!! Such a small bottle costs a maximum of €0.60 to purchase. It's the same with all drinks - they spoil the acceptance of the prices for the food. So you eat out less often.

Was great! It went quickly and the food tasted delicious. Waiters were nice too. We had a good time here! The only thing to complain about is the parking options, especially since after 7 p.m. only residents are allowed to park directly in front of the restaurant.

Ne pas chercher des plats raffinés mais propose des spécialités à base de pommes de terre, portions généreuses, les jeunes ont adoré. Prix très convenables. Yesterday we had dinner at the potato house and were particularly impressed by the friendly service staff. The young people did a great job. Extremely friendly. Big compliment. The food was delicious as always. Great casseroles. However, the seating outside is not that comfortable and back-friendly. Otherwise everything is great!

Vi togs emot på ett fint sätt när vi önskade bord utomhus. Det fixades snabbt och vi kunde byta till en skuggad plats efter en stund. Maten kom snabbt och smakade väldigt gott. Stora portioner. Vi åt Zweierlei Gnocchi och Hunherdiep samt drack vin respektive öl. Otroligt prisvärt, god smak och fin service . Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

The food was good. Tasty and large portions. However, the service was poor. First a drink was forgotten and then a main course. In general you had to wait quite a long time for the food, even though we were there during the week and there wasn't much going on.

The staff on reception in our hotel suggested we try here when we asked for advice on somewhere we could get typical German food. Really good tasty food at a very reasonable price. My husband had the potato pizza which was the potato in sauce base with "pizza" ingredients arranged on top. My vegetarian dish was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would come again. Recommended!

Nice restaurant, what I think is very nice is that you don't have to sit so cramped. In many restaurants it is now the case that you can almost eat with the person sitting next to you😂 Here you still have a pleasant privacy Food is great too! I'd love to come back

Nice and fairly quick service, despite the store being full. The food wasn't cheap in terms of price, the taste was okay, but it wasn't great (I didn't notice any pepperoni in the Turkish potato casserole). Nice rustic atmosphere.

Sat at the bar and ate a wonderful dinner. Service was great. We got lucky and there were seats at the bar, but I’d recommend a reservation on the weekend.

De porties zijn overdreven en daarnaast zeer machtig (veel room gebruikt). Smaak is saai en eentonig. Kip in geschnetzeltes gerecht was droog. Weinig tot geen groenten.

Very nice place, great vibes, kind and knowledgeable bartender. Our dog was welcome to join us, when asked for a doggybag there was a positive response to not throwing the food. Charming, attentive service, good, classic cuisine. Rustic atmosphere. The three of us were there at lunchtime, enjoyed the delicious schnitzels and good pork fillet and were thoroughly satisfied. Beer prices could be a little more moderate - but overall the price-performance ratio is good.

Delicious food and a good atmosphere after a long day out with the family! Gerda persevered and Brechje couldn't stop laughing at the parking lot. It is so different from the Netherlands. I couldn't understand them and neither could they understand Dutch, but that shouldn't spoil the fun

Absolutely a lovely time - we reserved a table in advance, and despite being a bit later as expected due to traffic, they were more than happy to still accommodate us (a party of 6)! The staff was very kind and the food was delicious I got the Potato Pizza, and it was worth every bite ;) The atmosphere is splendid, the table we sat at was a bit tighter so less room to get up, otherwise the vibes were great and it definitely gives off a very rustic German energy! NOTE: The table we had was only available for an hour and a half, due to the popularity of the location and time/day we visited.

When I'm in Germany, I want German food in a German setting. Good large schnitzel and a nice mug of beer in a traditional cozy gaststatte. That worked out great here! Friendly and warm service in a beautifully authentically decorated building. Completely satisfied and satisfied!

Leckere Kartoffelgerichte auch für Vegetarier. Wir haben uns das Gericht mit Rosenkohl und Schafskäse - eine echt tolle Kombi und den überbackenen Auflauf mit Spinat und Champions geteilt. Beides war lecker und reichlich. Gemütliches Ambiente mit bequemen, gepolsterten Bänken, wenn man Brauhäuser mag. Auch das milde Bier, das mir empfohlen wurde, hat gut geschmeckt. Sehr gut besucht - Reservierung ist vermutlich erforderlich.

I don't have to say much. After 20 minutes the food was at the table, the waitresses are very friendly and it's just a really nice restaurant. We really enjoyed it, we'd love to come back!

Very tasty food. The best schnitzel with fried potatoes I've had in years. Thanks to the chef. The staff was super friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and the music was pleasant. Only the space was a bit tight, if one person had to go to the toilet the others had to get up. But I'm glad we got a spot so spontaneously and it was all worth it. Didn't hurt the mood. After an eventful day at the Osnabrück Zoo, we, my wife, our daughter and I decided to visit the first Osnabrück potato house Dominikaner to end the day with culinary delights. The journey from the zoo to the restaurant was an interesting experience - we have rarely encountered so many traffic lights on such a short route in a city. Luckily, we quickly found a cheap parking space in a nearby parking garage and after a short walk we reached the restaurant. As soon as we entered, we were pleasantly surprised by the rustic and cozy atmosphere both inside and out. The staff greeted us in a very friendly manner, and to our relief there was a table available for us despite not having a reservation. However, I would recommend future guests to reserve a table in advance to ensure you get a seat. The food was a real highlight of our visit. My wife enjoyed “Grandpa's Fried Potato Pan” - an appetizing combination of bacon, fried potatoes, fried eggs, pickles, mustard and sausages. Our daughter had the same dish in a child-friendly version, without pickles and mustard. I chose the “Herrenhäuser Schnitzel” with bacon fried potatoes, fried egg and salad. The special panko breading gave the schnitzel an exceptional crunch and an excellent taste. The portions were generous, so no one left the restaurant hungry. In summary, our visit to the first Osnabrück potato house Dominikaner was a completely successful experience. Delicious food, a cozy atmosphere and the extremely friendly staff make visiting this restaurant a great experience. I give it a full 5 stars without hesitation and can highly recommend a visit to anyone traveling in Osnabrück.

Hatten ein tollen Familienabend mit Platz Sitzecke an der Theke. Die Renovierung ist voll gelungen, geschmackvoll und gemütlich. Das Essen kam innerhalb 20 Minuten. 8 verschiedene Gerichte und alle sehr lecker. Das Personal sehr nett und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Gemütliches Restaurant im rustikalen Ambiente. Unser Techniker Trupp geht regelmäßig dort essen am letzten Abend vom Seminar. Das Essen ist super lecker und man wird richtig satt. Der Service ist super nett. Man sollte allerdings einen Tisch reservieren, da es dort oft voll ist. Was aber nicht stört.

Hammer Essen. Ich hatte Opas Bratkartoffelpfanne und war sehr zufrieden. Die Creme Brulee im Anschluss war geschmacklich super, leider gar keine richtige Karamellkruste oben drauf und die Früchte z.T. auch nicht wirklich frisch. Alles in allem aber sehr gut

Das Personal ist sehr nett und hat für uns spontan noch Plätze an der Theke organisiert. Essen war auch wirklich lecker. Und wir konnten einige verschiedene Biersorten probieren. Tolle Atmosphäre im Restaurant.

Wir waren eingeladen. Unser erster Besuch. Leider sehr voll. Es wurde für uns reserviert. Leider nur an einem sehr kleinen Tisch. Lokallautstärke so, dass wir uns auch sehr laut verständigen mussten. Essenauswahl: Fa ist für jeden was dabei. Schmakhaft, gute Portion, preislich akzeptabel. Service aufmerksam. Getränke erstaunlich flott. Wir haben uns trotz der Enge gut aufhehoben gefühlt. Wichtig: reservieren ist wichtig.

Leider hatten die ein Problem und hatten nicht geöffnet. Wäre schön gewesen das im Netz zu erfahren. Mal eben 50 km fahren und vor geschlossenen Türen zu stehen:-(

Wir waren zu zweit ohne Reservierung ( Spontan) am 9.12.23 dort. Ich war mit Rollator unterwegs was in diesem Restaurant gut funktioniert hat bezüglich Platz. Wir hatten leider nicht reserviert trotzdem bekamen wir ein Zeit begrenzten Platz. Ich möchte aber darum bitte wenn möglich vorher zu reservieren, dem Restaurant zu Liebe Personal war super nett freundlich und selbst die Köchin kam kurz an den Nebentisch um Fragen zu beantworten.
