I have been a customer of this excellent restaurant for 25 years now. The quality of the food is always at a very high, home-style level. This is only topped by the friendliness of the courteous employees. Here’s to another 25 years!

So I have to say we came here spontaneously and were lucky to get a table as the shop seems to be more than well attended. Small menu, but great selection (I will definitely come back a second or third time because I want to try other dishes) The starter came quickly and so did the main course, which really tasted very good. Come here and see for yourself. Full marks from me. Starter: garlic potato slices + lime alioli Main course: potato casserole pizza 🍕

Unfortunately, the fried potatoes in “Grandpa's fried potato pan” were more like jacket potatoes, and unfortunately there was hardly any bacon or onions. Unfortunately the food was disappointing, the beer was delicious

Impudence! The food was good, 2nd round of drinks were brought at 9:00 p.m. and 5 minutes later we were told our time was over and new guests would be waiting…. Then we saw from the outside that the waitresses sat down at our table… Really never experienced anything like this in any city in Germany... Never again!

A nice restaurant. Only 6 adults shouldn't sit at the tables if the benches were only built for 4 people. This is probably good for drinking but not for eating.

We were back at the potato house after a long time and had fond memories of it. Since the tables are assigned multiple times, we reserved for 90 minutes, which is quite sporty. Drinks and food were served quickly and the price-performance ratio was also good. However, we didn't get a chance for a second round of drinks, let alone dessert or coffee. The waitress was at the table after 69 minutes and "had to" collect because our table had to be cleared for the next guests... It didn't matter that we had only been sitting at the table for around an hour. It would probably be a misunderstanding. The fact that the misunderstanding could probably exist on the part of the restaurant was of no interest either. The table was cleared and we were "gladly" allowed to sit at the counter with our drinks... We have already experienced a lot, but this evening remains a special memory for us - unfortunately not in good...

We came here on a spur of the moment and got a table straight away. Even though it was Saturday late afternoon. The furnishings and ambience immediately captivate you. In a positive sense. The staff is professional and very friendly. The drinks came immediately and the clear menu (for me this is always a sign that something is freshly cooked) makes the decision difficult. The dishes ordered were served very quickly and the portions are plentiful. Really very tasty. Now we have to visit our son in Osnabrück more often because we want to try the other dishes too.

Das Essen hier war wirklich nichts besonderes. Schweinefilet totgegart und Beilagen wie Bohnen matschig. Nach einer Stunde wurden wir dann aufgefordert, den Tisch freizumachen, weil andere Gäste warten. Nicht so toll, besser gleich ein anderes Restaurant aufsuchen.

I've wanted to go to the potato house for a long time because, according to "veganfreund.org", there should be "more and more" and "changing monthly" vegan dishes there. We were there on a Saturday and were greeted with 1 vegan dish that - as you can see from other reviews - has been available there for a long time. Upon request, we were given a vegan version of the gnocchi, which three of us then ordered. The 4th person took the curry. The latter was very good, if we had all ordered it it would definitely have been 1 star more. The gnocchi, on the other hand, were a little bland, for one of us they were too crispy, for the other two they were swimming too much in a cream-like liquid. The tomatoes, mushrooms and nuts added flavor, but were relatively lacking. The portion was so small - also compared to the curry, but especially with the other dishes we saw - that we had to order potatoes ("Sticky Fingers"). Before our next visit, we would first make sure that the vegan offering has improved - we think there should be 3-4 dishes, because not everyone likes curry. The potato house in particular would have it easy, because vegan sausages and casseroles are really easy. The price was ok, apart from the additional costs for the potatoes. The curry was recommended. The two types of gnocchi, not so much.

Absolutely, nice staff, tasty food and visually very appetizingly presented. The prices are still reasonable. However, I find the drink prices extremely high. e.g. B. A rhubarb shorle for € 4.90!!!! Such a small bottle costs a maximum of €0.60 to purchase. It's the same with all drinks - they spoil the acceptance of the prices for the food. So you eat out less often.

Was great! It went quickly and the food tasted delicious. Waiters were nice too. We had a good time here! The only thing to complain about is the parking options, especially since after 7 p.m. only residents are allowed to park directly in front of the restaurant.

The food was delicious as always. Great casseroles. However, the seating outside is not that comfortable and back-friendly. Otherwise everything is great!

Vi togs emot på ett fint sätt när vi önskade bord utomhus. Det fixades snabbt och vi kunde byta till en skuggad plats efter en stund. Maten kom snabbt och smakade väldigt gott. Stora portioner. Vi åt Zweierlei Gnocchi och Hunherdiep samt drack vin respektive öl. Otroligt prisvärt, god smak och fin service . Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!

The food was good. Tasty and large portions. However, the service was poor. First a drink was forgotten and then a main course. In general you had to wait quite a long time for the food, even though we were there during the week and there wasn't much going on.

The staff on reception in our hotel suggested we try here when we asked for advice on somewhere we could get typical German food. Really good tasty food at a very reasonable price. My husband had the potato pizza which was the potato in sauce base with "pizza" ingredients arranged on top. My vegetarian dish was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would come again. Recommended!

Sat at the bar and ate a wonderful dinner. Service was great. We got lucky and there were seats at the bar, but I’d recommend a reservation on the weekend.

Nice and fairly quick service, despite the store being full. The food wasn't cheap in terms of price, the taste was okay, but it wasn't great (I didn't notice any pepperoni in the Turkish potato casserole). Nice rustic atmosphere.

Very nice place, great vibes, kind and knowledgeable bartender. Our dog was welcome to join us, when asked for a doggybag there was a positive response to not throwing the food. English was at sufficient level, in case you don’t speak German (but don’t stop trying obviously 😉) Definitely worth visiting!

Charming, attentive service, good, classic cuisine. Rustic atmosphere. The three of us were there at lunchtime, enjoyed the delicious schnitzels and good pork fillet and were thoroughly satisfied. Beer prices could be a little more moderate - but overall the price-performance ratio is good.

Delicious food and a good atmosphere after a long day out with the family! Gerda persevered and Brechje couldn't stop laughing at the parking lot. It is so different from the Netherlands. I couldn't understand them and neither could they understand Dutch, but that shouldn't spoil the fun

Absolutely a lovely time - we reserved a table in advance, and despite being a bit later as expected due to traffic, they were more than happy to still accommodate us (a party of 6)! The staff was very kind and the food was delicious I got the Potato Pizza, and it was worth every bite ;) The atmosphere is splendid, the table we sat at was a bit tighter so less room to get up, otherwise the vibes were great and it definitely gives off a very rustic German energy! NOTE: The table we had was only available for an hour and a half, due to the popularity of the location and time/day we visited.

Reservation absolutely recommended. For very tasty food and very nice and friendly service.
