We went there for breakfast and it was okay for the price

Ich habe das Restaurant am Samstag zum zweiten Mal mit einem Freund besucht. Das Ambiente ist einfach toll und gemütlich. Ich hatte mir die Filetspitzen bestellt, die dann leider hart und zäh serviert wurden, kann ja alles passieren. Die Servicequaität eines Restaurants zeigt sich besonders dann, wenn man sieht, wie mit einer solchen Situation umgegangen wird. Ich habe die Filetspitzen reklamiert, die Reaktion war sehr freundlich - und in Windeseile wurde mir eine neue Portion serviert, die dann auch top in Ordnung war. Am Ende waren wir einfach nur zufrieden, besonders mit dem super netten Service. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

We were here for dinner. Good parking options. Friendly service. Fast service. If something doesn't fit, it will be solved immediately. Fair prices. Gladly again. There were five of us there on Saturday. You should make a reservation. Gladly again.

It was great, the two of us stayed in the LasVegas room. The room was nicely furnished and clean. The highlight is definitely the whirlpool that is present in the room. We reserved a table in the restaurant for the evening, which is apparently absolutely necessary on a Saturday. The restaurant was very busy, but you didn't have to wait too long. The service was quick, attentive and friendly. There's actually not much to say about the food, it was simply delicious. We had ribs and chicken wings, which were very well made. The bones almost came apart on their own. After dinner we sat at the bar and enjoyed very good cocktails. Personally, I missed a larger selection of American beer. The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired, I think there is something for everyone.

Great themed room...BUT: If you just get involved with the theme room you choose, then everything will be fine... However, at least that was the case in the Las Vegas room, you should expect that the hotel standards do not apply... There is no closet or other storage options here.... The sink is in the middle of the room, the shower is visible, etc. As I said, it's well furnished in terms of the theme, with a disco ball, whirlpool, etc... The food in the restaurant itself was great, the prices were completely ok. Unfortunately the service was a bit snooty....The breakfast for 10 euros was an absolute bomb!!! We will book again, a different themed room, because it's just fun!

There were two of us there for dinner. Everything is fine as you know it. Large indoor area and also a large outdoor area for the warm season. Service quick and friendly. The selection is appropriately varied, but not too extensive that you are overwhelmed by the selection. All very tasty. Parking spaces are also plentiful. You should definitely make a reservation here, as it can get very crowded on some days - then it can be quite noisy inside.

The perfect place for burger lovers! I've ordered burgers there several times and they've always been great - juicy, well seasoned and made with fresh ingredients. The selection of different burger variants is impressive, so there is something for every taste. The atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting, and the staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience that I will definitely repeat. If you are looking for delicious burgers in Mettmann, I can highly recommend Roadstop!

Very tasty, very quick food. There was a small nogo but this was compensated. Therefore only 4 out of 5 Update: just had breakfast. Service completely overwhelmed, no replenished buffet. Great restaurant, today the Xmas buffet. Something for everyone.

What I experienced over the last few days was unbelievable. I went to Roadstop for a snack at lunchtime. As always, I wasn't greeted and just sat down on my own. The waitress and bartender saw me. They were standing behind the counter directly across from my table, chatting loudly in private. After a few minutes I became a little uneasy. I expect that when you have nothing to do, you greet the guest promptly and take the order. So I looked directly at both of them several times and she looked at me. Normally the service arrives then at the latest. But the two of them didn't let themselves be disturbed at all. A full 15 minutes (!) later the service finally came. The drink came relatively quickly. The wrong one. By the way, there were only three tables occupied by me. So no trace of stress. The new drink then came without apology. The food came quite quickly and was good as always. During the meal the lady didn't come to ask if I wanted another drink or how it tasted. I was then finished and the empty dishes were in front of me. As with the other guests. The lady came and didn't come. She continued chatting privately and ate herself in complete peace of mind...The guests couldn't order anything and had to sit in front of empty plates. I turned around conspicuously several times. The barman looked directly at me. He could have let his colleague know, but no. When she finished eating, she still didn't come to the guests. She was scurrying around somewhere. After 45 minutes with an empty glass and an empty plate, I was finally able to pay, but only after another table called her from a distance and she was finally within my calling distance...no, that's just not possible.

We were visiting the area on a holiday and staying at a local hotel. One night we visited this restaurant and it was great. Great atmosphere friendly staff English menu to use and abit of help from Google translator or our amazing server and we had everything we need. Worth the visit

Pleasant atmosphere. Very unusual and cozy decor. The food (pulled pork burger) “Normal prices”, as is now usual. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. We were there around 5 p.m. On a Wednesday. I was extremely surprised at how full the store was, especially in the middle of the week. Rarely have we seen such a well-visited location. A visit is definitely worth it.

I've already driven several thousand miles across the USA and been to 8 states but the Road Stop Mettmann is probably the most American place I've ever been 😂

Breakfast could be improved. Cucumber, tomato, lettuce? None. Some of the sausage looked a bit dried out. Really could be better.

We stayed here for two nights 🤓 Got a great room with a golf course theme. I found it very coolly decorated. The breakfast is really extensive for my taste so that everyone can find something. We will use this accommodation option again on our next visit. I like the presidential suite 😁

The 4 of us spent the weekend at the RoadStop including a barbecue seminar and we were all thrilled. The rooms (Classic, BeerBar and RocketRoom) were lovingly furnished and clean. The staff was extremely friendly, personable and more than eager to fulfill every little wish (both at check-in and in the restaurant area for dinner and breakfast). The food was good (yes, there was a wait because the restaurant was full), the drinks came quickly. I would make a reservation again on our next visit, as the RoadStop seems to be a very popular address and fills up very quickly in the evening. We also enjoyed the breakfast (Saturday) and had more than enough choices (various types of sausage and cheese, scrambled eggs, bacon, jams, Nutella, cucumber/tomato, muesli, etc.). We absolutely loved the interior of the RoadStop. At times we had the feeling that we were no longer in Germany 😉! The barbecue seminar was a lot of fun and the food we prepared together was really great. You can reach the city center with a half-hour walk and you can visit one or two restaurants there and stretch your legs. We are looking forward to a repeat and can only recommend everyone to come here 😊

It's a shame that all u can eat and all u can drink are no longer available. We always had fun making burgers. The waitresses were always very friendly and attentive. The toilet is one floor below and was mostly very clean. Food was always OK and the portion size was sufficient.

Breakfast Saturday morning, it was empty unlike midday to evening. It was a sufficient, good, tasty buffet. When asked, it was quickly refilled. I mean, the buffet closed at 11:30 or 12 p.m. And it's a good price.

We only went to the restaurant, I can't say anything about the hotel. The food was really tasty and the staff was friendly, but a big drawback was that tenacious mice ran through the restaurant and between the tables. We pointed this out to the staff, but they did no one there is interested.

Authentisches Amerikanisches Restaurant mit guten Burgern. Wir haben einen schönen Abend mit einem alten Freund den wir seit Jahren nicht gesehen haben verbracht. Das Restaurant ist sauber und die Bedingungen sind freundlich. Das Essen wird nach einer angemessenen Wartezeit serviert. Sehr störend fanden wir dass man dazu genötigt wird Trinkgeld zu geben wenn man mit Karte zahlt. Freiwillig gebe ich gerne Trinkgeld. Hier wird aber eine Prozentzahl vom Kartenleser vorgegeben. Das bedeutet man ist gezwungen einen sehr großen Betrag zu geben oder gar nichts.

We often eat here with our children. The food is great, the service is friendly and there is always something for the children to discover. If you want to reserve a table, the sunset can be seen around 6:00 p.m. in autumn or you can have something to eat in front of a fireplace. In summer there is an outdoor area with a small playground that is also accessible to children in autumn. The decoration is created with great attention to detail and adapts to the seasons and celebrations. I can only recommend eating here, we have never been disappointed.

Great breakfast! Unfortunately, the Roadstop can't do anything about what comes next. Unfortunately, this time we were very unlucky that a family sat down next to us and one of them started playing the harmonica, which was really unbearable. We asked ourselves how one comes up with something like that?! :-)) honestly, please do this at home. That's terrible!! However, it's always fascinating how some people come up with things that normal people really don't expect...that of course makes life exciting and interesting somewhere, but in this case it was just annoying.

Sorry, but if I order a bowl with goat cheese and then get served Camembert, that doesn't work at all. You can perhaps understand that the waitress doesn't know the difference, but if the kitchen doesn't know the difference, you'll probably be served pork neck with beef fillet.

Due to computer problems we had to wait over an hour for food. The waitress was very friendly and apologized a thousand times. But the food was ok. Today we tried again, the food was delicious again, the service was very friendly, everything was perfect 👍

Very, very friendly staff and prompt and attentive service. The price-performance ratio leaves a lot to be desired and in my opinion the prices are sometimes not justified, e.g. B. for the quality and size of the burgers. I am basing this review solely on the burgers we ordered and not on the other dishes.

For 2 citizens and a fries almost 1 hour waiting time. The burger was neither worth the money (over €13) nor the waiting time. Neither are the fries for almost €5.

Went there recently for breakfast. We can really only warmly recommend it!! The selection is good and the taste is absolutely convincing. From sweet to savory, everyone will find something to suit them. The drinks also have everything from juice to warm cocoa to coffee. And all of this comes at an incredible price. You can't have breakfast this cheap and delicious anywhere else. In addition, there is simply a fantastic atmosphere that makes you no longer feel like you are in Germany. We will definitely come back!

Great food, from ordering to collection in this strange time, everything was perfect. Such friendliness when ordering and picking up, just perfect. We just wanted to eat here. The service was nice except for the question of a higher tip. The atmosphere is really great, the toilets are clean. The food was really tasty and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately the meal took far too long for just fries and prepared pull pork. It was not very busy, rather empty. Unfortunately, something is wrong in the organization of the kitchen.

We were there today for the breakfast buffet. We called last night and wanted to make a reservation, but we were told it wasn't necessary. Today we arrive and are asked directly whether we have reserved. Actually it wouldn't work, we should take a look around and see how many there were. It wasn't about free tables, as only about 6 tables were occupied in the large restaurant, but about the number of people, which the only waitress would probably be overwhelmed with. This is despite the fact that it is exclusively self-service and you also get your own juice/coffee. After an instructive lecture, we were then allowed to sit down and insist on a reservation from the colleague on the phone. We were very disappointed with the buffet. We were expecting a typical American breakfast, but it was a classic, simple breakfast buffet with baked rolls. The scrambled eggs and bowls of fruit that were no longer so fresh were the ultimate feeling. The only positive thing is the really fair price of just under 10 euros. We would like the price to be raised a little and the buffet to be more unusual and perhaps a second service person to be on site.

From August 26th, 2024 to August 27th, 2024 we were at the Road Stop Mettmann. 1. Motel/Hotel: We stayed in the themed room (Classic) “Beer Bar”. The room is clean and decorated according to the theme. The toilet was in a separate room. The shower and sink were in the main room of the hotel room. Overall, the room was quite small, which is why two people couldn't get through everywhere. Our hotel room had a small balcony with a view of the Road Stop restaurant. There were parking spaces directly in front of the hotel building where you can park for free. Registration for the hotel rooms is in the restaurant. 2. The Road Stop Restaurant Since there was little going on at Road Stop on August 26th, 2024, you could also choose a table by reservation. The restaurant itself is well-equipped to suit the theme. The staff was super friendly and always helpful. To eat we had a burger, garlic bread, fries, ribs and chicken wings. For dessert we decided on small cakes. The entire meal was very tasty and I would recommend it to anyone. We finally had breakfast on August 27th, 2024. Given that it was a small breakfast, everyone was able to find something they liked and nothing was left to be desired. Conclusion: Overall, I would recommend Road Stop regardless of whether you want to eat or stay overnight.

Burgers are very tasty but absolutely overpriced for their size. Side dishes even cost extra... Unfortunately, you can't order the side dishes individually without the main course, which is why it's only worth going if you want to eat properly. My daughter would also have liked to have just had fries. Of course she wasn't allowed either. Vanilla milkshake only tastes like cream and for €6 it tastes too much for just milk and cream. The garlic baguette is just horrible. It's just a cheap sauce slapped on a baguette that's too hard. Very nice options for children such as the playground or the opportunity to paint. Staff is completely overwhelmed. Since it's full even during the week, it takes forever before you can even order. Not to mention waiting for the food. This is really a disaster. If you're thirsty in the summer, you don't have to expect to get something quickly.

Visually appealing restaurant. Very nice service. Unfortunately the food was below average. And too expensive for that. But people praise improvement because there have already been more complaints about it. Chicken wing very small and shattered bones in the meat. Make the dessert tasty with canned spray cream from the discount store.

Breakfast buffet was similar to other providers. The offering was good, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly... The service is managed by a very friendly employee. However, she has to do everything like reception, pancakes and omelets, taking orders, instructing the cashier and young employees, etc. A mammoth task in which she always remains friendly and courteous. My respect for the employee, but a minus for the organization of the restaurant.

Unfortunately the road stop was very slow! The burgers were very small and hardly any sauce on them. We also waited over 45 minutes for it. The Burgerie Manufaktur in the center is much better in terms of food. I also found it unfriendly that cutlery was loudly being sorted on the table right next to us.

Quite OK, the Hawaii room seemed a little dated, the bed was comfortable but creaked when you moved. It would be important to mention the lack of air conditioning, we couldn't sleep in the temperatures. But because we like the idea overall, we'll try it again at some point with the Presidential Suite

We were there on Sunday evening, I can't complain about the service staff, the waiting time was fine for me too. What I unfortunately noticed very negatively and is unfortunately a reason for me not to visit again is that I ordered my burger without onions. Unfortunately it came with onions and was therefore returned. After about 5 minutes the “new” burger arrived. Unfortunately, only the onions were scraped off and there were even leftovers on the burger lid. Unfortunately for me a very poor performance from the kitchen. The second time we went back, only the lid of the burger was replaced. If you don't eat and like onions, you'll notice that there were onions on the burger. But then we were too stupid to continue discussing it. The fries then became cold as a result. Unfortunately my food was poor, my partner's was good.

We ate here again three days ago after a very long time. Unfortunately we had to wait over an hour for the food because it was so full. I think if a shop can accommodate such a volume of guests, then it has to ensure that it can still serve at a reasonable time. Regarding the service itself, I can say that the waitresses were very nice and attentive. Only the “receptionist” was annoyed when people came who hadn’t made a reservation. I see walk-in customers as important, but oh well. Now about the food. I also like to eat meat but also vegetarian food, so I think it's good that there's a lot of both on the menu. Unfortunately I think it's a shame that very good dishes were taken out like the chicken skewers... that's what we actually went there for... I find the prices to be extremely skyrocketing in some cases. Which I can understand with meat but not really with fries. This time we only had normal fries - unfortunately they looked like they were leftovers from the deep fryer. I actually always enjoyed eating there, but I viewed the visit as a rather negative experience due to the long wait, the expensive and not so “nice” food and, above all, the fact that there was no longer what I wanted. What also really bothered me and other guests was that despite sitting indoors, we were extremely bothered by cigarette smoke. All the doors could be opened so that everyone could smoke on every corner. I don't understand why, as a non-smoker, you are forced to sit inside everywhere just so that smokers can smoke outside - especially since smokers themselves don't want people smoking while eating... you should think about a non-smoking outside area. Nowadays many people would gratefully accept it. And if you're sitting inside, the smoke should stay outside. It's complaining on a high level but unfortunately that's how it is. Unfortunately, it felt like I was in a bar inside... I hope the chicken skewers and the level comes back so that you don't have to wait hours for leftover fries. Because despite price adjustments, I would pay more for good food in a good atmosphere... The waitresses did a great job and remained friendly under stress - again, so that it didn't get lost.

Finally we went to the road stop again to eat burgers and steak. We were also able to sit outside because of the nice weather. For dinner there was steak, spare ribs and a burger. Everything was of great quality. However, we had to wait a little longer. Therefore a star deduction! There was also an excess of soda. But it was a misunderstanding. Easy to reach with more than enough parking spaces on site. Were there on Monday evening with 10 people. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. It was quite busy and the four people in service were friendly and really tried hard, but quite overwhelmed. The waiting time for the food to arrive was over an hour.

If you want to eat delicious burgers, this is the place for you. For a fair price you get a portion that really fills you up. In general, the ambience of the store is great, as are the friendly employees. No matter how many times I was there and how many different waiters served me, everyone was always very nice and professional.

The service was fast but not that friendly. The amount of drinks offered on the card is very wide. The garlic bread was hard baked bread with garlic mayonnaise on top and underneath it. Certainly not to be recommended. The ribs and chicken wings were delicious and very well baked and seasoned. The cuisson of the steak was not done correctly. The baked potato in the skin was not in the skin and rather cold. We might go back for drinks and ice cream but won’t touch the steak or baked potatoes again. The terrace doesn’t have a lot of shade in the space they opened up. There was shade but they closed off that part of the terrace for no apparent reason.
